I hope you this app for a long time and it has brought a lot of joy to my friends and family. For the last two weeks, it has failed to load even though I have deleted it and reinstalled it multiple times. I started my phone and so forth. Reset my network settings. This is ridiculous. I see many people have also the same issues. I don’t know what is it is really terrible. SmashUps is unable to be used.

First of all they want you to pay when they only have like 10 videos to choose from and my friends name isn’t even on the name list. 🙄 (and it’s not exactly uncommon).
Maybe they should Provide some REAL content before they go right for “potential” customers cash? ... you know, like actually offer something worth the price tag?

Because as cool as these 10 or so video choices may seem, its definitely not worth the $1.99 a month they want... or $1.99 at all, for that matter.

The idea is pretty cool but the WAYYY overpriced subscription Required for the severe lack of content takes away from anything cute about it.
If SmashUps ever does become decent with content vs price ratio, which Would be great.....
I hope I can remember the name of it or that it even exists by then 🤔 :::sigh:::

P.S. if there is more to SmashUps that you are not at least showing to all of us (paying/non-paying customers) then that’s a real shame ....that could easily and understandably turn away. NUMEROUS interested buyers 💸 because it’s difficult to shell out money for something that not only can you not see 👀, but are completely unaware is an option❓🚩

I’ve been using SmashUps for a long time now, and my friends and family have looked forward to receiving a SmashUp on their special occasions. Over the last two months, I haven’t been able to send any out, as SmashUps continually crashes. I can’t find customer support, so I am left to write a negative review. PLEASE FIX THE BUGS! American Greetings, this was such a fun product, but it’s just not reliable right now. I may have to cancel my subscription if it continues, and I really don’t want to do that.

I was browsing for a way to send e-cards and came across American Greetings. I looked it over and liked what I saw. I decided to check in apps on my iPad and sure enough I signed up thinking it was the same content as I had looked at because the price was the same. IT’S NOT. SmashUps is not worth $19 annual subscription. The content is far more limited. There is no way to enter more than one name on a card that is sent to more than one person. I’m stuck with it but I will not renew my subscription.

I know iOS 15 just launched yesterday but SmashUps is useless on it. When you download a video, it downloads a frame by frame video that is 45 minutes to over an hour long. The audio tracks in correct time but the video is way too long. Also, while I love love love SmashUps, it needs new talent. After a couple years, I am surprised that there is not more celebrity talent included as options. It would be great if that could be remedied.

When SmashUps works is absolutely amazing. When SmashUps doesn’t work it’s so frustrating. Because it’s such a great concept. I want it to work every time. It appears that the problem seems to happen when you can input text for SmashUps to give a special message. That just doesn’t work. None of them work, when you put in your own words. When you use SmashUps with the singers and you just put in a name or a date, then everything runs smoothly. I just wish all parts of SmashUps ran smoothly. Would I buy it with this issue probably because it works really well with parts of SmashUps .

I like the small selection available, but there rarely are new ones. Some have preset voices to read text you type in, which is cool, but the voices sound a bit robotic. Now I’m having a lot of trouble with it buffering after I made my selections and it won’t stop, which is the state the item is in when it’s shared (I ran a test and sent it to myself). I tried closing SmashUps , logging out of my account, and finally deleting and reloading SmashUps , resetting my card each time, but nothing resolved it.

Seems it just cycles more than anything else. I try to open SmashUps and just looks like it’s loading and never opens. I pay for a yearly membership because it is cute to personalize and send to family and friends. Wish there were more singing ones vs the talking AI kind. Dolly is the fave and the new Kevin Bacon one is great too. But if I can’t get it to load to send to folks, it’s a waste of money.

Donny Osmond and Dolly Parton are the most jaw dropping- really feels like you custom made a wish for the recipient especially for he or she! Thank you to all the celebrities who spent the time to do this! However, I’ve reused all the good ones for my friends’ birthdays these last few years, and I have used up all the good ones!- time to add some more celebrities and upgrade the older (non celebrity) material too- most of that is lame! Also, please add the traditional spelling of Camille to you list!

I really like SmashUps and I use it on a regular basis but it hasn’t been updated for a long time and I now struggle to open it through my phone even though I’ve deleted it and re-added SmashUps . The only way I can open it is through SmashUps Store so it’s a little bit disappointing in that respect. Thinking about not renewing the on the next subscription date.

I love and use SmashUps for all of my Birthday & Holiday greetings. I too, would like to see the option to add names that are not in the database or a way to request via SmashUps .
More celebrity greetings to be added as well.
Lastly, I am super frustrated. After completing a video, I am given the option to share- one of which is to upload via Facebook; however, I have received numerous notices (fb) after the fact, that my video has been muted or partially muted due to copyright infringement. I’m sorry, but if I am paying for an app that is giving me the option to upload to that platform, why has this not already been considered between the two companies? I have written both Facebook and this app, neither have responded.

I have enjoyed sending these smash ups to my friends and family. Each time I send one I always hear back how much my loved ones enjoyed receiving it. They are fun and easy to make and send.

I have used SmashUps for several years now, and really enjoyed it. Please offer a bigger selection, especially for birthdays. I have duplicated a few of them and would love more to choose from. Thank you.

I wish we could spell a name instead of choosing one. You don’t have all the names I need, and you don’t have the spelling of some of the names I need. Also, an anniversary specific SmashUp would be nice. But then we would need to be able to enter two names.

I love SmashUps for the most part. However, it could use some improvement. I have a granddaughter and have met other women named Ciarra or CiCi for short. But there is no iteration of this name or anything that sounds phonetically close. However, there are many names that I’ve never heard before that are far more obscure. There should be a way to add names or at least submit names for inclusion. Yes, “granddaughter” is in there, but it just sounds so cold, clunky, and impersonal when sending a birthday card to your little angel !!! I have subscribed for a couple of years and have mentioned this before, but still nothing!! Very disappointing!!!

I love this app, and I use it all of the time. Friends love receiving them, but you must refresh your items/categories. The talking ones are terrible with fake male/female voices. Please add more celebs and birthday ones. Please get rid of the talking voice ones. Those are artificial and horrible! And the MASK this app… my gosh, Delete!!!!!

I’ve been using this for a year now and I get great reactions from it! They keep adding new ones all the time and their list of built-in names is huge. For people whose names aren’t in their pre-defined list they have several messages where you can type in any name you want. If I had any requests it would be to be able to add any name I want to any of the messages. Highly recommend this!

I’ve been sending these cards for years and they always have been well received.
I e cad to use my Note app to keep track of who got which one.
The other way I stay organized is to use it on my calendar app where I keep the Birthdays and then use the note section in the calendar app.

I think American Greetings has the technology to and money to get more Celebraties especially for younger folks.

Now to look for 4th of July cards! I know you will have them!

I was looking for a way to send birthday “cards” to a family that moved to another continent. I came across this and sat and watched every one. SO Cute, funny, clever, amazing quality and almost every name I could think of. My brother in law’s name isn’t there but “brother” or “birthday boy” will work. I love all the videos and hope they come out with more over time so I can keep sending these to everyone! I can’t wait for a friend to have a birthday!

I love it and have sent many. The Donny Osmond one is my fav. The issue I’m running into is that because of its popularity, recipients may have received it multiple times from others. It would be a nice feature if SmashUps would say “hey, the greeting you have chosen has already been sent to the recipient. We suggest choosing another one.”
