.. it would be nice to have a customizable favorites menu. It often gets tedious to have to scroll through the existing menus ... of which some are very deep ... to get to the handful of stations most viewed among the hundreds available. This is especially the case on the fire stick (and I would assume Apple TV) where the remote has no numbers and you’re forced to scroll and scroll until you find the station/network you want.

This company used to respond within one second on chat, not anymore now you have to wait a day for someone to respond and then it’s a new rep who didn’t read the previous messages so I’ve been in a cycle of not getting any answers for something I’m paying for and is not working! It’s requiring me to login every single time from every single device and it’s to the point of not functioning without becoming a huge pia! On top of this the chat will say there’s a search bar! There is no search bar!! They will tell you all kinds of things that don’t exist on their app! You’re like no I have to scroll through every single channel and they aren’t even labeled ! The shows and tv channels cannot be searched for you have to go thru a thousand scrolls to magically land on what you want you to watch! That goes for movies too! It’s definitely not being cared for and I just see more frustration as time goes on now I’m looking for something else since I can’t get any good help!

SoPlayer when it works it works well but when it doesn’t it’s a piece of crap. I can’t always open SoPlayer and it works, some days it buffers endlessly or have no available channels. I have to delete and reinstall, reboot my phone, re-log on, try logging out that will take another hour. There should be a refresh button in SoPlayer somewhere. You pay for service you would think that the service provider would care and fix those issues but no such luck. Customer service is non existent I emailed when there is a problem and they don’t even have the curtsy to email me back, I hear absolutely nothing. So enjoy your voiceless shows that buffers endlessly or just disappear in the middle of you watch for day’s on end, I think it’s time for a new provider, one that cares about the people that’s making them rich.

The iPhone and iPad app are amazing and stream flawlessly and I have no complaints. I just noticed that there is now an Apple TV app so I went to download it and SoPlayer has no search bar...
Please add a search bar in the next update for the Apple TV app. It is very difficult to navigate without being able to type the channel or network that you would like to watch. I was very excited when I noticed SoPlayer on the store because I was tired of using the NoraGo app on Apple TV due to not having a search bar. Now that this doesn’t have a search bar either I’m kinda disappointed but still hopeful that one will come in the next update.

The player is a great player with great layout but the biggest drawback is not allowing the customer to remove its devices from a provider and having to depend on the provider to do so. I have this player and the provider went out of business and now it is hell trying to have all of my devices removed from the previous provider being they went out of business. It’s like you’re locked in and if you want to go elsewhere you have to rely on a provider to remove your devices. This should definitely be something the customer should have the power to do. Developers - please address this issue and provide some sought of fix to this as this would make your player so much better.

Everything on here is very high quality all HD and even with a weaker internet it never lags or freezes. Never had issues with any of the pay per view fights or Sports networks not coming in. They have a tech team in place that actually takes requests for new movies and new tv shows which is nice. If there is ever a channel down it is back up within 24 hours. Outside of the sports packages and pay per views and movies it has everything and more on it i need / wanted including basic cable stations. Solid app

I have SoPlayer downloaded to my firetv and it works GREAT! I was so excited to even see local channels. I saw they had an app for the Apple TV which I have in my living room and was immediately disappointed. Granted I’m happy it’s an app at all for Apple TV but there is NO SEARCH BAR. It makes SoPlayer nearly useless unless you only want to watch live tv. You can’t search for any shows and there is literally nothing listed under the tv show section. If I want to watch a show I have to go to my bedroom to watch which is too much. The catchup feature is also off with the recording time. Shows cut off. If you fix these minor things this would easily be a 5 star review. Please update.

I subscribed to an IPTV service that requires SO Player. It works flawlessly on the iPhone and on my IMac. The Apple TV version has no program guide, often won’t open password protected channels, and freezes, requiring restart of Apple TV to make SoPlayer functional again. I tried contacting the developer, but received no reply. The IPTV service provider indicated they are aware of the issues, and the developer is working on them. Image quality, sound, ease of use all excellent. 5 stars to IOS and macOS versions, 2 stars for Apple TV version pending update.

This is almost a deal breaker as the voice active search built into the Apple TV remote does not search inside SoPlayer. It desperately is in need of a simple search feature. It exists on the fire stick so not sure why it’s not here.

To make it more difficult The listing of TV shows by name does not appear to be working. When looking under video on demand, tv shows, nothing shows up. There is no list of tv shows so it makes searching for shows almost impossible. Wish it worked like the movie listings.

I’m going to make this as simple as possible. I agree with Honesty review above. I never know what’s coming on unless I look at EPG, then you scrolling forever. When I’m watching a movie it freezes a lot or it jumps into another movie. Yes I miss my regular cable but it was getting too high. When I chat with So Player customer service they always tell me that someone will get back with me and no one never get back with me. Most Tv channel states no data so you don’t know what you are watching unless you have seen the movie before. Etc ...

I absolutely love SoPlayer. I have it on my LG TVs, IPad and IPhone. All work fabulous!

My only wish in a perfect world would be to add a ‘space’ option in the search bar on the LG tv version. I have to place in what I can then scroll. Would be nice to have a ‘space bar’ like my iPad has.
Again - this is a wish! But other than that - PERFECT in every way! I wouldn’t want to be without it!

SoPlayer is good and works fine the only reason I’m giving it a 4 star is because when u don’t have WiFi on your mobile device at times SO Player should be able to work with your phone’s carrier or cellular data if you will that’s my only issue if they can fix that issue for it to work without WiFi and work with cellular data that would be great but great app

We downloaded SoPlayer and It works great on my Shield, my IOS Apple TV, and my I-Pad Pro, at HOME, But when we download it to the Samsung Galaxy note 8 it was lacking in streaming when went OUTSIDE, but it worked. I guess it depend on the amount of SPEED your phone carries at the moment. So far I love it. I can watch what ever I want at HOME with no problem. I believed it said it works good with your IP address. And in that case I have no problem

If you have this downloaded don’t ever delete it because it will never allow you to sign back in, almost an hour and customer support tells me to contact my previous supplier ( it’s only ever been the same one) and they tell me I have to register the device, like I haven’t been trying to do that for an hour straight smh. I already had it on one device and wasn’t deleted from that one and works great.

It’s a great app with tons & tons of channels. However, please, please, please add a search bar for Apple TV Device. And hopefully a guide listing like a “tv guide” to see what shows the channels are giving before selecting the channel. This will really help and navigate through the channels smoothly. This will be automatically 5 stars if these 2 flaws can get fixed 🙏🏽

I love SoPlayer, it works good on my phone, on firestick, and I really like it on the Apple TV EXCEPT for there not being an option to search for movies/shows. Trying to scroll through 1000 tv shows is annoying and almost impossible to find specific episodes of series. Developers please add a search tab for Apple TV!!

App wasn’t working a week ago after update. I decided to delete SoPlayer all together or my IPhone. Reinstalled the this app again through Apple store last night. Since then, SoPlayer has worked flawlessly. My recommendation is to delete SoPlayer and reinstall it again.

Super frustrating to find a movie on Apple TV, you have to scroll alllllll the way through and they aren’t in any order. Also the Catchup section doesn’t work well, tried to watch some episodes of shows and the timing of the recording was off, couldn’t watch the whole shows :/ love everything else though!!!!!

Depending on what service you have, SoPlayer has everything. All channels, movies, sports and shows you could ever want. I just wish SoPlayer would add a search feature and a traditional TV guide (both are available for iPhone and fire stick, but not AppleTV for some reason). Add the search and TV guide and SoPlayer would be flawless.

I love SoPlayer, it’s good however it would be better if I were able to search when I watch it on my Apple TV. It’s impossible to swipe through everything. The option to search would be greatly appreciated. Could you consider that on your next update?? Thanks!

I don’t see why Give SoPlayer less than 5 stars. I’ve been using it for about a year. Apple TV and iPad. The only bad thing I cannot search my Apple TV. But other than this is the best idea after sliced bread! For the price of the service. It’s a steal. Don’t know what other providers use SoPlayer but the one I’m using has all the channels and services that my heart desires. Please fix Apple TV search option. Then after that would be perfect. No more waiting on hold with cable company or waiting for a whole day for them to show up. Thanks guys. Amazing service.

Very VERY, basic layout which would be ok Zig it didn’t crash while trying to watch my paid iptv service that requires SoPlayer. Glad it was free ... this is why I prefer iptv Smarters pro , or, xciptv, Lenox mp, or GSEIPTV... never issues other than occasional buffering on all of them which is off since my WiFi I’d 350 down and 88 up so it’s not my speeds and it’s not their services as it works flawlessly on my other devices and the iPhone 7+ & 8+ should be strong enough to push it (cpu& gpu) as someone who is self employed in tech , IT, custom areas etc... SoPlayer in particular seems like it’s poorly written & looking at its ratings I’m not the only one who feels this way .
