Hate it

2022-05-23

First off, I have been locked out of my account for, hmm, maybe 4 months. I have emailed them 5 times for a password reset. They have never sent me a password reset. They just keep loving me out. They gave me a stupid excuse that they were still on holiday in mid January. They said “it should work now.” Well it doesn’t. Nothing works. The software is crap. I can’t delete something properly, I have to erase the whole idea. Endlesssssss JOKE.

Need to fix bugs

2022-06-24

App is a ton of fun and doesn’t get old quickly like other beat makers. There is so much packed in for free it is surprising. Right now I am unable to post any beats or start any jams, not sure why, the UI is buggy and clunky and not very intuitive. If these get fixed I will give a solid 5/5 because that’s what Endlesss deserves.

Has potential but...

2022-07-25

I’ve been producing for 12 years using Ableton Live, so I have some legitimate hang ups about Endlesss . I want to love this bc it has so much potential, especially with the ability to “Jam” with other creators and sharing to the discord community. I love that I can export the stems and use them in my DAW.

My main hang ups are that it needs a step sequencer and an edit function. The drums and melodies don’t quantize properly causing everything to be sloppy and out of sync. I need to at least be able to go in and manually adjust the placement of the samples. A step sequencer would be a great solution.

What am I doing wrong?

2022-08-26

I’d love to use Endlesss but the button press to trigger a sound or loop has a horrible lag time and the quantize is located in a place that’s not intuitive and hard to toggle back to. The quantize literally never finds the note you’re playing. I can’t even line up 4 solid kicks in a row in 1/8 notes. What am I doing wrong?

Has become very unstable

2022-09-27

I have used Endlesss since it was in beta. It used to be much more stable. Now, I can’t open Endlesss without it freezing or crashing. When Endlesss does manage to open, it won’t load jams, or even play a metronome. Maybe it’s due to more and more new users or people using more than normal due to shelter in place.

I hope they can get it working as stable as before soon. Endlesss has so much potential. But it’s frustrating when you lose musical inspiration due to an app loading and crashing for 30+ minutes.

Easy Collaboration from anywhere at anytime

2022-10-28

Endlesss is a dream come true, especially now in the time of COVID. It may be in the beginning stages but has enormous potential. Instead of trolling social media you can come here and create things on your own or with other people from anywhere in the world. You can be quite creative with the built in tools but I would suggest getting the infinite add on as well for more options. The fact that it’s limited in some ways I think forces you to think outside of the box. It becomes quickly addicting and you’ll start using it whenever you have a free moment!

Wow

2023-01-31

Seriously, just from Endlesss alone I’m incredibly impressed. This is a game changer. I never wrote reviews but man this is a big deal.

Really gets my juices going

2023-03-04

And when these juices go, well watch out!

Very bodacious concept. Radically different and well implemented. Bravo

joyous and well designed

2023-04-02

A great creative space. This is more than a toy you won’t get bored of, it’s a community brimming with ideas.

Life changing, truly

2023-05-04

I’ve been making music electronically for almost 25 years, and had all about left it behind for more “serious” pursuits until this pandemic came along and left me with loads of time to myself. Long story short, found my way to this app, and where I might’ve been an emotional mess, I’ve been addicted to creativity and making music with supportive people I’ve never met, with professional level sounds that has me re-thinking my life trajectory and hoping to be able to keep making music when it’s safe to go out again, at least on the side.

It’s never been such a fun, painless process with such high results. It’s like being in a band with an this app (sorry couldn’t help myself) number of bandmates all across the globe.

Make sure you join the discord too. Endlesss team and the community of users is top notch welcoming and helpful.

And it really has been a community for me, something I know so many of us need right now. Just amazing Endlesss here is.

Welcome to the musical multiverse!

2023-06-04

This is truly an amazing tool. So fun and inspiring. I’ve jammed and learned so much from people all over the world through using this app. Inspiring and perfect for any ability level.

Buggy as hell

2023-07-06

Maybe because I’m on an iPad? But this is terrible. Screen won’t rotate so I wasn’t able to get a password in or audio interface connected. The concept is brilliant tho so 5 star.

the Oracle of DAWS

2023-08-06

this is the future of music production. this app incorporates the looping abilities of Ableton and Fruity Loops but the social aspect of a multiplayer game. You can then export individual loops and stems to another DAW if you’d like to build them up. I honestly am addicted to automating Fx with a touchscreen now. super fluid and intuitive

Amazing app

2023-09-07

i thought Endlesss was just alright until i found out you can record with real instruments and it doesn't sound bad. seriously try playing guitar or drums or saxophone with another person it's awesome.

My favorite app on iOS for making music

2023-10-09

The retrospective looper is a great way to experiment with musical ideas and keep only the ones that hit. Playing along with friends and strangers keeps me coming back. I’ve made more tracks with this app than I did in the decades prior. If you want to hear some I’m dorolfe on SoundCloud.

Why can’t there be more free items

2023-11-09

I know that your really trying to make money but when it comes to people just trying to chill relax and not spend money and make music just to see idk the jazz bass strings like 4$ like can you make an earning system or give more functions to newer/inexperienced players???

Incredible

2023-12-11

I’ve often found myself wishing for an app like this. Something that you can easily pick up and make some music with your friends. They’ve managed to make something that could have been very complex into a simple and rewarding experience.

I can’t wait for the desktop version!

Life Changing

2024-01-11

Before I found Endlesss I found myself kinda stuck not really making much music. If you're an aspiring musician/producer Endlesss is great for inspiration and you'll meet some cool friends along the way. The community is bound by music. We all love Electronic music but are open to any genre. You'll find yourself hooked on this looper as powerful as it is and soon enough you'll want to spring for Infinite to acquire NEW sound packs every month. Now after so many months I find that I can work with many people as well as quickly spew ideas from my head as I play.

Where’s ‘Sign in with Apple’?

2024-12-15

When that is added, I will give it a try.

Nice

2024-12-15

Very Interesting idea, it’s marketed for beginners though , there’s not too many creative options. Drums are nice but other sounds are very cliche. should add way more options for sound manipulation, more pitch range, maybe and option to design your own unique settings.

Could use a few tweaks, but AMAZING

2024-12-15

About a year ago, I started a new “band” comprised of 4 people who like twiddling with synths and drum machines. We have gotten together every Wednesday night for our live MIDI jams...until ‘Rona came around and made that not so doable.

We’ve explored tons of options to keep our momentum going while we’re sequestered in our homes avoiding COVID-19, and none of them offered quite what we needed. Then I discovered this app, and while it doesn’t check EVERY box, it’s streets ahead of the rest. It maintains the flow of a real live jam, with all of the spontaneity and discovery that makes creating music with others so magical. Its versatility and possibility continue to amaze me and my band mates.

There is room for some improvements, hence 4 stars, but none of them would stop me from using this app. If the improvements were made, I could see using Endlesss...well, endlesssly.

I’d love to see improvement in Endlesss ’s ability to connect & jam with specific people: it seems odd that I can’t invite collaborators to a specific jam within Endlesss , yet I get notifications when people change or add something. I shouldn’t have to leave Endlesss to text people a link to a Jam when we’re all inside Endlesss already.

Here are some additional observations for those interested in developing a studio/production workflow with this app:

Exporting Stems

Good: each loop is uncompressed AIF (!), separated from other parts from the same “rifff,” and labeled by a number (the order it was introduced), # of beats, BPM, + time signature:

“Loop 3 (8 Beats @ 90BPM in 4-4).aiff”
Bad: Only 1 “Rifff” export at a time; no batch export. If a loop is unchanged from a previous Rifff, it still exports, leading to a lot of doubles (this could be useful for importing to DAW as arranged, but it seems inelegant). Because there’s (seemingly) no batch exporting, each Rifff exports as a general “Stems.zip” which can get annoying when invariably dealing with multiples.

I would love to see an implementation of a batch export for entire Jams, or at least the ability to select multiple rifffs from a Jam for stem exporting, using the Jam name

(“[JAM NAME] Stems.zip”)

...with a nested folder structure that organizes the loops chronologically by Rifff

(“Rifff1, Rifff2, “Rifff5” etc., if you export without Rifffs 3 & 4)

...along with attributions to the creator of each stem, if possible

(“Loop 3 (8 Beats @ 90BPM in 4-4) [USERNAME].aiff”

That’s just a wishlist. I’ll make due for now; I’m just so happy Endlesss exists!

The music collaboration experience done right

2024-12-15

I’ve searched wide for music collaboration platforms that worked well, and mobile music studios but they always fell flat.

this app gets the important parts right, and I think for the first time allows musicians of many different skill levels and backgrounds to have a joyful experience creating music together. Endlesss takes a few hours of use before you will feel the full potential, but it’s learning curve is pretty much as shallow as it can get. Any simpler and it would be a toy.

By favorite part is that once you get the hang of it, the technical bits become muscular habits, and you just can melt away for hours. It feels like being “in the zone” or meditating, but the nice thing is that by the end, you have created many little byproducts, neat loop-centric musical snippets that you can export for further elaboration, or just sharing your creations as video loops on Twitter.

The free version is not crippled in any way, and the infinite paid version is a very fair price considering how many hours you may log on your musical journeys.

It is without a doubt my favorite app on my phone, and I can’t wait to see what others create as this platform expands from its tight knit, small, early user base. 5/5

Inspiring, intuitive, fun, deeply satisfying music creativity

2024-12-15

Cant say enough about this incredible experience.
Collaborative, intuitive realtime creativity is such an integral aspect of Endlesss that I haven’t experienced before when it comes to online music making. Love that you can do so much with free option so it doesn't limit your fun, and SO much value in Infinite. This is truly a gorgeous playground for the imagination, whether playing alone or with a hundred others. Finding that state of Flow and connecting through the music as it unfolds is such a magical experience. It has opened up a world of uninhibited creativity I would’ve otherwise never experienced. Thank you so much.

A warm fire for the soul

2024-12-15

The best collaborative music making tool. Simple to get started and deep enough to be a joy to explore. A lot of love for Endlesss, the developers who built this beast, and the people who've gathered around its warm fire.
The culture cultivated around this app reminds me of what people have done at pubs, on their front porch, and in basements for ages—gathered together to experiment, play, learn, and laugh around music. However, this village stretches across the globe. Seriously fun.

Thisss is it

2024-12-15

this app will remind you why you started making music in the first place. They somehow managed to crack the code of making a fun, fast and powerful music platform that connects live with musicians all over the globe... oh yea, and it fits in your pocket. The heart of this app is making music live with other musicians. Once you get your bearings don’t be afraid to immediately jump in and jam with others. The community is welcoming, supportive and talented. You will be surprised how you will grow as a musician playing with others. If you are used to sitting in a room making music by yourself, sometimes you can get so into your own head you lose the perspective of the bigger picture: making music should be fun. this app and it’s community keeps music fun.
