Yes when we first came to City of Hope, we thought just for one moment there was hope and received a drop of that hope. Because when they can’t help you, they give up on you. They use doubtful words(unfortunately, we can’t scientifically help you, we are out of options, it’s time for that talk) and so quickly to move patient to nursing home, supportive care( and they are not even supportive) or hospice. They use fearful language around our love ones that gives them NO HOPE. They lie to cover up their mistakes and can’t be truthful to the family. The team is so disorganized and don’t communicate professionally. The first family meeting was with a nurse practitioner. How can you have a meeting without all active team members or the key players. I am seeing more and more patients suffer and the families losing their love ones because of not enough compassion towards God’s people. SIMPLE SADDENED MY HEART.

After seeing the oncologist and other staff who really are great dedicated professionals but I chose not to have any of the chemo or radiation treatments due to side effects and they didn’t seem to account for current medical conditions that might become worse. It seemed the same protocol was used for everyone. I’ve been reading and talking to other medical people and many cancer treatment centers use the same proof or everyone hoping they kill your cancer. Sometimes they get and sometimes not. So I won’t submit myself to the awful side effects. This is anal cancer which is different from some others so the side effects can be brutal. They also wanted to do chemo and radiation on the same days which I couldn’t tolerate. I thank them for what they do but it’s just not for me.

CityofHope makes it so easy to keep up with appointments, tests, and communication with my doctors. My only criticism is the crazy bombarding txts and emails requesting you to “check in online for your upcoming visit”. I fell for it the first few times then just began ignoring them bc I couldn’t seem to turn them off. The process they are requesting is to go through the exact same steps for EVERY appointment. It is redundant and a huge waste of time!

Outstanding care, outstanding staff, outstanding doctors, outstanding service, outstanding everything and everyone. I know without a doubt, that if we went anywhere else they would have said, “no that’s not the problem” and dismissed me! They didn’t at COH and found an issue I will be coming back for. Everyone was truly amazing, kind, caring & u can’t ask for more. We’ve have never had this kinda care ever. Thank u to all from the bottom of our hearts and my friend for recommending all of u. Please never change.

Nurses super nice manner, friendly positive attitude, doctors, yul Kim my opinion is the best doctor and Dr. Lim endoscopy. I never seen a such a nice doctor super intelligent. God bless him. if I win lotto, I will donate $100 billion to the City Of Hope to help people who is battling the cancer God be with everyone

I was diagnosed in December 2024. I have been a mess I cried all the time and was worried.
Every visit the nurses, Doctors, receptionists and everyone else- have either gave me a hug or held my hand. Very compassionate people.
I finally got. My surgery completed and they have reached out to make sure I was ok. Checking up on me instead of just leaving me alone was great! Everyone at the City of Hope has great compassion for their patients. Thank you to you all!!

I have been a patient of CTCA-Newnan, now City of Hope since 2020. The care and attention I receive here is phenomenal. Through insurance, my travel is arranged and my appointments are always scheduled in advance. I love that the facility provides free transportation, and low fee nightly rentals if you have to stay overnight. You are always allowed a care person to travel with you. The staff is friendly and recognizable. I see the same friendly faces on each visit. Glad I chose to remain with City of Hope for my oncology care.

This is the best communication I’ve ever had with any doctor or hospital. Due to Chemotherapy making you have memory loss. It is so easy. I see my appointment. I can read my doctors notes in case I forgot anything that he said and it’s just everything is made so easy, even to have a Tele visit you just login and click on you can’t get easier than this so you don’t have to worry about missing anything. Everything is right here. Whoever built CityofHope for City Of Hope is a genius.

Besides CityofHope making my appointments easy, the hospital doesn’t feel like a hospital I get excited to go, I know I will be well taken care of. The staff are all very friendly helpful informative and if you don’t know how to get around the hospital they will always be there to help, you don’t even have to walk. They’ll have you ride a wheelchair and if your appointments are in different buildings there is shuttle access, there is valet service. I live in Moreno Valley (riverside) and I go to the one in Duarte, besides the distance I know it’s all worth it.

My husband Lynn has been receiving chemotherapy here at The City of Hope in Newman Ga since April 17th 2024. I can honestly say that the people that work here are very genuinely helpful. They go above and beyond to help you anyway they can. From making sure Lynn has a warm blanket when he is chilled or giving him juice or sandwiches if he is hungry.
The nurses are also super sweet to both of us. They take care of me also. We have never had a bad moment here. The Cafeteria serves some of the best food here. Really good tasting and delicious!! It’s cheaper to eat here than it is to go to a restaurant.
We are so grateful that we were referred here by a friend who was also a chemotherapy patient here and is now in remission!!!!!!

I want to express my thoughts regarding a phenomenal doctor. The care I have received from Dr. Tania Cortas at City of Hope was exceptional. She always listened attentively to my concerns and provided me with information that I could actually understand. Dr. Cortas displays a high-level professionalism and she made me feel comfortable throughout my journey. Not only is she intellectually gifted, but her care and compassion for her patients is extraordinary. She truly understands what every cancer patient is enduring and attempts to calm our nerves and be a ray of sunshine during our appointments. If you need a medical oncologist, I highly recommend her.

If you have cancer, City Of Hope is your best option for survival. It’s just that simple. CityofHope keeps you in touch with everything and keeps you organized and when you are having trouble with organization because of all the doctors or surgeries or medicines… CityofHope keeps you locked in and you know what’s going on and when. I am just so impressed with City Of Hope and every part of my treatment care doctors everything… it is just really top notch and everybody tries really hard and cares and I think that is probably the biggest thing that people will notice. Yes there is probably large numbers of people that get sick and that they help but you wouldn’t know it by how they treat you. They save lives. Period.

There are many things to like and appreciate from COH but the one that stands out is they actually care. ALL other health organizations do not care about you they just want money, money-mills and nothing more. They run unnecessary tests to run up the bill all at your expense. Not at COH, if they run a test it is valid and needed. You can literally feel the difference physically and mentally. There is not better care anyplace in California so your search is over you found the best right here. Places to avoid are St. Jude, St. Joseph, UCI. These are money-mills nothing more than that, they do not care about you, period.

CityofHope is very easy to use and understand. Everything I need to know about upcoming and past visits are available, as well as test results. In conjunction with CityofHope , city of hope actually calls me to confirm which confirms CityofHope information I have access to at all times. I can message through CityofHope , find all of the contact information I need, prescription information and refill dates are provided. Billing information and payment options are provided, making it easy to stay on track financially. Very simple and very effective application. I love it.

City of Hope has been a blessing, since the first hello that I received on first phone call to them, I felt like I was not just a number. Every person that I have come in contact with at City of Hope has gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable in my decision to put my care in their hands. I am 49 years old have been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.

CityofHope facilitates effective communication between doctors and patients. Patients can access test results at their convenience. If you have a question for your doctor, you can send your question via a message thru CityofHope and the doctor can reply back to you via CityofHope . Eliminates phone tag between patients and doctors. You can upload your medications via your app and should your primary care doctor change your medications you can update the changes via CityofHope so your COH doctor will be aware of the changes. These are just a few of the benefits CityofHope provides.

I don’t even have any idea the extent of my cancer yet. But I know that I have waited two years in a regular doctors office in and out. Never getting any real answers as to what is going on with me. Within one month of going to City of Hope and I am about to find my full diagnosis today at 1:45. No matter what the diagnosis I have never been treated more like family or an old friend that I have in this entire entire institution I mean the amazing people at the valet to the front desk to the nurses to the cafeteria staffto the doctors imaging people all of those people have touched my life. I feel like I have the best chance of beating this whatever it is with their help.

Since I was blessed with the opportunity to be seen at City of Hope Upland, I was given given the link to CityofHope . The ease and the the ability to see, connect and submit documents goes without question. I can ask my Oncologist a question, see my test results, schedule appointments and get my visit details to name some of the many things you can do. I wanted to add that the service I have received at City Of Hope goes beyond any type of service I have ever received in any doctor’s office. The staff is friendly and diligent. My doctor is fantastic and follows up immediately with any concern that I might have. I cannot say enough about this entire organization!

The First Day I walked into City Of Hope they made me feel like a person. They booked my appoints as soon as they could and very accommodating. They don’t make you feel stressed about the billing. They work with you on payments and still continue to see you. At my other facility I was going to they would not see me unless that balance was paid in full. My care declined and that made me look to City of Hope for my continuation of care. I’m glad that happened. The personal are friendly and understanding. They Listen. Sometimes we need that listening ear. Thank You.
