Setting up first time

CAUTION! if you select a plan before doing the math for box price, like I did, once you build a box, set up your account, and get to check out, it is IMPOSSIBLE to change your plan to one less expensive. Even chat help couldn’t come up with a way. Even closing the site, going back in and trying to start over only popped me back to the same checkout page with the same plan originally chosen. Even trying to skip the log in didn’t work. All roads led to that same final checkout page.

SO BEWARE, pick your plan ONLY AFTER CALCULATING THE BOX COST BY MULTIPLYING THE NUMBER OF ITEMS IN THE PLAN BY THE PRICE PER ITEM. For me, it was a surprise how expensive it was for the “most popular” box, 12 items weekly. Before agreeing to pay, I tried to back out and rechoose a different smaller box (or monthly instead of weekly). Anything to get the bill down to a smaller dollar amount.

COULD NOT CHANGE TO A DIFFERENT PLAN NO MATTER WHAT I TRIED. So I haven’t eaten anything, or experienced any deliveries, but I already see a SERIOUS FLAW in the web site. Suggestion to the company: either show the TOTAL BOX PRICE in addition to the per item price ON THE SAME EXACT PAGE, or create a user friendly path to back out of a final checkout page back to a place to change the specific plan now wanted (other than the one first chosen.) I think there is a way to change specific items chosen, but not a way to change the overall plan wanted.

REMARKABLE COMPANY AND PRODUCTS

Let me 1rst start off by saying, I’m 40lbs down because of DH! The commercials drew me in . Ordered my box, and was completely impressed with the flavors of the harvest bowls, could not believe how wonderful the smoothies are, and the ice cream😍😍😍!!!! I have a regular old KitchenAid blender and they blend just fine straight out the freezer. Depending on how much I dilute it, I can almost get 2 smoothies out of 1! The bowls are filling, and I feel so great that I’m not putting junk in my body. They’ve made it so easy to be healthy with our busy lifestyles.
This company and their standards of service are amazing!!! Any problem you have, they are here to help you and fix it for you. DailyHarvest is user friendly and easy to navigate. I love how easy it is for me to
schedule when my boxes come and what’s in them. I’m beyond happy with this subscription service. I highly recommend them to everyone I know! I feel that the pricing is fair. You’d pay this and more if you ate out with not even a quarter of the health benefits. Do yourself and your health a favor, invest in a box.....it will change your life.

Food 5⭐️ App 🤷🏼‍♀️

As a diabetic, one of the foods I miss most (especially in the summertime) is ICE CREAM! Keto ice creams just don't do it for me, and then I started seeing Daily Harvest commercials. I was like "Wow! That looks GOOD!" I decided to give it a try and have been a fan ever since.

I like Daily Harvest bc it makes it easy for me to have yummy frozen treats that are still healthy for me as well. I use almond milk and a tiny bit of Stevia for sweetness. Now I don't feel deprived when I want ice cream, and they are very filling as well. Sometimes I will even have a smoothie for breakfast!

Speaking of breakfast, they also have oatmeal bowls and chia bowls. They are SOOO good, and very easy to prepare. Just mix your liquid of choice (I use almond milk) in your oatmeal and then let it soak overnight.

Helpful hint: unless you have the mega monster of all blenders, I suggest leaving your smoothies in the fridge to thaw a tiny bit before you blend them.

I went through 3 different blenders trying to make my smoothies. I ended up standing there for 10 minutes, taking the lid off and mixing it around manually with my spoon, then putting the lid back on, blend some more, rinse and repeat endlessly.

Now I just put my smoothie cup in the fridge and let it stay there overnight. Then in the morning or whenever I’m ready to make it, it is MUCH simpler to mix.

DailyHarvest is meh 🤷‍♀️ but the food is awesomeness incarnate.

Their customer service surpasses expectations

1. Almost all of the smoothies I have tried have been amazing and the ones that weren’t my favorite are some of my friend’s favorite so it’s worked out.
2. I had a couple issues with my orders which would have been incredibly frustrating if it hadn’t been for two members of their customer service team. Vinny and Victoria went above and beyond to correct the mistakes that occurred and strengthen my trust in the company. I think some of the issues can be attributed to company not working out some distribution kinks yet but DH doesn’t hesitate to fix and learn from their mistakes. I have been so impressed and would recommend their subscription to anyone trying to eat vitamin packed, yummy, and filling meal but doesn’t have a lot of time.

Side note: because of some of the ingredients I would 100% recommend you use a powerful blender like a vitamix or blendtec or ninja.

App Update Suggestion

I love Daily Harvest soooo much and owe a lot of my good nutrition habits to this service! BUT I have one huge suggestion that would change the game! It takes awhile to try everything and find your favorites, are so many flavors of smoothies that, as you suggest right on the cup, certain liquids work better than others. I know you can "like" and "dislike" flavors on your account to remember what you tried and want to order again, but what if you could add notes to your preferences? I discovered I didn't like the Ginger + Greens until I added a little pineapple or pineapple juice! I love adding yogurt to some- but not to others... adding personal notes to remember what personally works and what didn't would be SO HELPFUL!

Great with One Minor Issue

DailyHarvest and company is amazing. The customer service is top notch as well. When mistakes were made, they were very personable and took care of the situation at no cost to me. It’s definitely worth every penny, especially when it comes to my dietary needs. After a month of eating daily harvest as my primary diet, my health labs came back normal, which is amazing. The only issue I have is I can’t filter out food with Hemp seeds. Military members cannot consume Hemp seeds, so I have to read every single ingredient. There’s a large enough population of us to maybe add this into your filters. This would save so much time for me. But overall, I would and do recommend this company to anyone looking for food delivery services.

Healthy And Expensive

I signed up and received Daily Harvest for several months. I was happy and excited at first knowing I was eating a plant based diet. It felt healthy and I noticed my hunger and cravings subsided. The fruit smoothies are all fruits with a few vegetables in some of them and were all pretty tasty. However at $7.99 each they are too costly for something I can do for much less myself. I loved their Oat Bowls with Mulberries.
Some of their Harvest Bowls were pretty good at first but I finally tired of just microwaved “bowls” for every meal. After a while they all seemed to taste too similar and it just got old for me. I had their cauliflower crust pizzas and they were a good break from bowls but not too exciting.
Daily Harvest costs about $85-$100 a week depending on how much you order and it’s probably the same for most meal delivery services. I just got burned out on bowls!?

Where is my shipment??

First shipment was on time and we enjoyed most of the food. However, I’m still waiting on my second shipment which is two days overdue. Tried to track the package and there is no tracking info. Just says processing. Daily Harvest is most definitely expensive but I don’t mind paying as long as my order shows up on time. And if there is going to be a delay than how about some communication, or some tracking info that actually tells you something. I also tried to contact someone yesterday and couldn’t get a hold of anyone. These are huge red flags for me and I won’t deal with a company when I feel like I’m taking a risk every time I order. As of right now I’m pausing my account until my shipment arrives. After that I’ll decide whether to officially cancel. My suggestion to Daily Harvest would be that if you’re NOT going to answer your phone or any texts than please provide your customers with some GOOD tracking info.

App seriously broken

Service is great.

App is severely flawed.

Lots of custom UI tools that looks good but moves slowly and confuses the user, and whose UX also is contradictory and doesn’t actually work.

So DailyHarvest also violates the HIG. For instance, when the cart is lower than the minimum “box size,” e.g. count of items in cart, the user gets locked into purgatory and can’t find new items to add in. Total no-no. This means the user is stuck playing footsie with adding and removing enough items to go back to the menu of items available to find the mix of what you’d like.

Broken tools. Adding items from the grid of menu items in the left-hand menu is completely broken. Choosing items to add to one’s box actually adds random items the user didn’t select, and also doesn’t add the ones the user selected. At first I thought I was going crazy until they shipped me a bunch of terrible stuff I didn’t want. I played around with this again just today and reproduced the flaw five times.

I would just delete DailyHarvest and use their website, but the website doesn’t support Sign In with Apple. Instead, I just need to cancel credit card since I don’t trust DailyHarvest to stop deliveries of boxes I didn’t choose and do not want.

But I do like the smoothies!

App is fine, but food items are small like a snack, not a meal

DailyHarvest works fine, I was able to find food that I was looking for and place my order without any issues. The food is easy to fit into a vegan Whole Food Plant Based diet, if that’s your kind of thing. I’m vegetarian but can’t do the WFPB diet as it’s too restrictive for me. Some of the bowls and flat breads had odd food combinations, but I liked most of the ones I tried. Overall I think the product is a good idea so I’m giving a 4, but I have canceled my subscription because if I’m going to pay that much money for food I need it to actually have enough food in it to be a meal not a side dish.

They take great care of their customers.

Had to review this company (even though I detest spending time writing reviews), because they went above-and-beyond to make sure they took care of me as a customer.

There was an issue with my order when it arrived, some of the cups were broken in-transit, and without trepidation or argument, they replaced the broken product. Not only that — but I wasn’t satisfied with one of the flavors and they uniquely empathized (something rare to find in the food and beverage space) and refunded me the amount of the few cups that weren’t to my liking.

WHAT OTHER COMPANY DOES THAT?! Anywho. Definitely considering coming back for more, since I was treated so well. Hats of to you, DH. Wish you all the future success and more.

Horrified

My box was delivered today and I was home and horrified. The box was all bent up, and it was wet on the bottom. Even opening it up, there were too many bent up things, the dry ice packs were empty and flat and there was condensation on everything. I put a few things away and came back to my dogs licking the floor and sniffing the dripping containers. 😠
I was confused about the flatbread with 2 different directions for preparing the thing. One was a very high temperature for 20 or so minutes with the package on top removed and the other a very low temperature (that my oven doesn’t even go). They both said oven but I didn’t know which to follow. 🤦‍♀️
I got it right away as they rang the doorbell, but it was delivered on Wednesday, early evening. Then I look at my computer and they say that I’m located on a route that only goes on Friday. Well, then why did you ask me what day I wanted it? 🤷‍♀️
I don’t think I want to continue.....

Awesome app if you are a DH subscriber!

DailyHarvest is amazing if you are a Daily Harvest subscriber! It makes switching up your order SO easy! You also get notifications to remind you to edit your order (if you want to) before it ships. I usually edit my order a few times a week based on new things I try or what I’m in the mood for so getting that reminder is a great feature for me. DailyHarvest also allows you to get in touch with their customer service, read their FAQ, change your plan, pick your favorites, and so much more. I’m not a huge app person but being a DH subscriber, this is one I can’t live without. It’s also VERY user friendly! Everything about DH is incredible!

Wonderful food and customer service app could be better

The food and customer service from Daily Harvest is incredible! I hope they go public one day because I will look into buying stock.

The smoothies are my favorites and such an easy breakfast. My magic bullet is getting a workout.

My only complaint would be I wish DailyHarvest was easier to use. I have two plans one for home and one for work because I travel often and for long periods of time for work. It’s difficult to tell if I’m updating selections for what’s going to be delivered to my home and what is going to be delivered to the hotel I’m staying in.

I love getting Daily Harvest delivered to my hotel. I am saving money and my health by not eating out and time because all I have to do is either heat it up or throw it into my magic bullet.

The smoothies are AMAZING. app not so much

I’m being brief because I’m still frustrated. I couldn’t change my order for the week. Why? Because the second you get distracted by a text, a phone call, life, it automatically reverts you back to whatever they added to your order in the first place.

You can’t save until you’ve added ALL the cups, which means if you delete cups you don’t want, start searching for new cups to add, don’t add enough, and get distracted, you lose. Why can’t I save as I go? So I don’t have to start from scratch.

I spent more time today watching that GD jumping banana and waiting for images and info in DailyHarvest to load than anything else today. My reward? $100 spent on 2 smoothies that have allergens, a soup I didn’t like, and zero opportunity to try something I might like more than the 2 meh smoothies from last week. Yay!1

Delicious!!

Are usually don’t write write reviews but I have to do one for daily harvest. I have yet to find something I don’t like from them. Everything is delicious and very worth the money. Cooking is so easy and fast. A quick grab and go meals. Also when you’re not in the mood to cook and yet our hungry and want something healthy this is a great option. So far I have loved everything. Oatmeal’s are delicious and varieties. The tarts are the best. The smoothies there is the best with healthy nutrients. If you have any doubts, my suggestion is give it a try. It’s worth it!

Terrible delivery and mixed up order

I have been getting daily Harvest for six months and mostly love the smoothies and some of their other selections. However delivery is unpredictable, usually it arrives a day late and last week nothing came at all. I tracked and it seems to have disappeared, I have tried in vain. to contact Daily Harvest by email and a phone request but they have not got back to me, also tried the shipper but nothing.
My other gripe is that despite making my own selection each week, they always throw in Some random harvest bowl that I have 20 of in my freezer and deduct a couple of my selections.
If these things could be ironed out, I would be very happy with it.

I love Daily Harvest! The shakes are very good and natural sweetness and a big selection. The “tastes like” comment for each shake is exactly what it tastes like. I get hungry around 4pm and never knew what to eat that would be healthy until now. I add oat milk and a scoop of protein then I’m good until dinner, usually 4 hours later. The “coffee” drinks are awesome for a pick me up!
The soups are unusual and light in a good way and sometimes I’ll have one before dinner without the full feeling. I also love the oatmeal breakfast selection.
I highly recommend this company.

Love the Smoothies

I really love most of the smoothies they have! I get about 20 smoothies every few weeks. I just add some coconut water to the fruity smoothies and oat milk to the coffee or chocolate smoothies. They can be pricey but I would never be able to have all the ingredients they have in their smoothies that are so good for your health. I think they are definitely fairly priced for their quality.
Their app can be a little glitchy. Sometimes the pictures don’t load. But my 5 star review is about their products, not their app.

The don’t let you pause your order on the app

When I had first heard of daily harvest I downloaded DailyHarvest to try out their stuff. I had turned off all the automatic purchases, or atleast I thought I did. About two months later I got charged $60 for a box I hadn’t ordered and when I logged on it showed that all the automatic purchases were back on. When I had contacted customer service i was told that I had to change my plan to pause plan. 10 minutes after trying to figure it out in DailyHarvest I realized that the pause my plan option was only available on their website. This could’ve been avoided if DailyHarvest had this option available.

Awesome...one suggestion

First, I am now in love with daily harvest. I don’t have time to food prep, and these are whole food meals that are quick, flavorful, and delicious. Second, I think they’ve done a great job with DailyHarvest . The only thing it’s missing for me is the ability to set favorites to make reordering the ones I like faster, because the do have quite a few options. But definitely recommend.

Functional, intuitive app.

DailyHarvest is simple to manage your deliveries, skip future deliveries, and select bowls to add to your box.

This could be a 5-star review but it’s missing MAJOR functionality: the ability to rate and review bowls. I want to mark a bowl as a favorite (or “never order again”) when I’ve tried it so I can build delicious boxes in the future. It’s hard to keep the bowls straight in my memory, especially because the ingredients are so similar. I can’t just remember that I like the bowl with chickpeas because that’s literally half of their offering.

300$ and still no food

this company has taken my money twice, and still haven't received my first order. i've emailed multiple times. each time they reply with ZERO information. offered me a credit for my next purchase. SERIOUSLY?! i haven't even received my FIRST ORDER yet. it's over two days late and still nothing. they said they aren't sure where my delivery is, but if it does show up, it's probably gone bad because the dry ice doesn't last that long. are you kidding? this is a meal service plan! i budgeted my grocery money for this. i have never dealt with a company that has this much disregard for its customers. DI NOT SOEND YOUR MINEY HERE, unless you can afford for the food to not show up.

Frustrated

When I signed up to Daily Harvest I was very excited. I had read that they automatically send you new boxes and I made sure to turn off all of those options. I did not sign up for a plan and indicated I would make my next order on my own time. I just pulled up to my house to discover a new box and a $160 charge to my card. Daily Harvest never notified me, never asked for confirmation, nothing. I genuinely wanted to order another box, but now I will not be ordering a 3rd because I never ordered this 2nd one. I do not appreciate the lack of communication on your end. I would like to cancel my “subscription”, but cannot figure out how.

Smoothies=Amazing, App=Easy

First of all I have to say having DH in my freezer is a game changer. From everything to quick snacks to a smoothie before I run off to work, they have me covered.

Now DailyHarvest . Honestly one of the best user experiences I’ve ever seen in an app. Makes it crazy easy to skip or schedule my upcoming deliveries. Having DailyHarvest has made my Daily Harvest experience even easier. Keep up the good work DH!

Great product. Great customer service.

I’ve only had a few smoothies and so far I’m blown away by them all! I was very skiddish to spend so much money but they are absolutely worth it. I also had some delivery issues and their customer service was great and they took care of the issue and did what they could to make things better with me. Highly recommend!

DailyHarvest is amazing and works perfectly. Super intuitive and foolproof. Now let’s talk about the smoothies! So good! Arrive frozen and ready to go. Pro tip: if you live in a warm climate, only order 12 at the time because our 24 count shipment melted. Their customer service is beyond compare though so that’s why they deserve a 💯 in my opinion. You won’t regret trying them! So yummy!!!!!!

Buyer beware

I purchased the 24 cup option for my first time as they looked absolutely delicious on DailyHarvest . So far every single one that I have tried is absolutely disgusting. They won’t refund me my money even after I offered to send the rest back to them. They will only issue me a 3 cup “credit” but why would I want a credit for anything I can’t eat? Don’t make the same mistake I did and go big until you’ve tried them first. Lesson learned.

App is great... when it connects

App works well and is a great way to update my orders. However, it has a lot of problems detecting that I’m online when I’m on cellular. Which makes it utterly infuriating. It’s pretty hard to update on the go when DailyHarvest doesn’t work 80% of the time I’m on the go. Please fix this!

Customer Service Not Responding

I hate writing bad reviews but I can’t seem to get in touch or have my emails returned by this company. I even tried chat and they said no one was available, and it was 10:30 am. I wanted to cancel my order and so I contacted them but no response (I am new to this) and hen I see an order shipped out-one that I can NOT afford right now, nor did I want. Please get in touch with me! This is a real hassle.
