Joe Coffee Order Ahead Reviews

I use JoeCoffeeOrderAhead frequently after my local coffee shop had told me about it and have never stopped using it. It has great options for people who want to order ahead or ASAP. I love the fact there is other options on how to pick up your coffee and was to tip the baristas whether it bet a set rate or your own custom tip. I enjoy the fact that you can also upload X amount dollars at a time. Also, after you have received your order you can leave the baristas or coffee shop notes and rating on your experience which I think is super resourceful! However my few complaints I have with JoeCoffeeOrderAhead I feel are rather trivial. The lowest set amount of money you can upload on JoeCoffeeOrderAhead is 25 which to me is a tad bit high, maybe 10 or 20? And you can’t use your remaining balance (if you have leftover balance) cannot be combined with another form of payment or debited from your total. It’s weird to have excess 3 or so dollars just there. Also there isn’t that many deals/ coupons as I feel like it boasts but majority of them are a waste or don’t have much of a discount. All-in-all I still love JoeCoffeeOrderAhead and love that my baristas are just a tap away. Keep up the hard work! ❤️☕️☕️❤️

joe is the best app on my phone because it give me a gateway to my elixir of life from all of the best coffee shops. I can always trust that no matter where I am, joe will show me where I can not only find my the most delectable coffee around, but I can help support the true local businesses. I checked with the owners and baristas at the shops and they told me that joe doesn’t take anything from their bottom line and that they prefer when I use joe as it makes their lives so much easier and saves the business time and money. Just to put the icing on top, joe stores my rewards points in JoeCoffeeOrderAhead so I don’t have to carry a wallet full of punch cards. They even added a cherry by sending push notifications with additional promotions and deals so I can justify getting coffee even more often. joe is a true majestic unicorn in a sea of overwhelming, clunky, and deceitful apps and I am so glad I get to support so many great businesses every time I use joe!

My favorite coffee shop started taking orders through JoeCoffeeOrderAhead due to COVID-19, and I have been very impressed with how fast and easy it is to use. I like that making special requests like a certain type of milk are automatically part of the process and don’t require typing. Ordering takes just seconds. I wish all the coffee shops in my town used JoeCoffeeOrderAhead.

Updating my review - taking away a star because there’s no way to turn off marketing notifications from JoeCoffeeOrderAhead . Since JoeCoffeeOrderAhead requires you to leave on notifications so you’ll know when your order is ready, there should be a way to opt out of promotional notifications.

Please please please stop sending me notifications. I have attempted to use the settings to disable notifications. It’s been over a month since I change this setting but I still keep getting notifications. I have tried to submit feedback about the issue and it’s still happening. I wasn’t going to write a review because I want to support local coffee shops. I think JoeCoffeeOrderAhead can help them with a consumer base who has become accustomed to ordering ahead or ordering on an app for everything. But today was the day JoeCoffeeOrderAhead went overboard when they sent me a text message. I have never signed up for receiving text messages from this company nor do I want to. Be aware of whatever information you give this company because apparently it doesn’t matter how much they intrude on their customers. Please stop all the annoying notifications I do not want to receive.

App-based ordering and payment make a lot of sense with today’s health concerns. JoeCoffeeOrderAhead helps minimize contact, brings table service to my favorite coffee shop for the first time. So nice to enter an order on my way, grab an outside seat when I get there. Have my order delivered to my table soon after arriving.

App is a little awkward. Some buttons, like “checkout” require scrolling to find. Some, like “add to order” aren’t prominent enough. Some things aren’t visible, hidden behind a button. App also freezes too frequently, requiring closing & restarting JoeCoffeeOrderAhead . Getting to order screen is a little slow. Assuming menu & account info is being refreshed.

Shop owner says the fees are reasonable. App doesn’t eat all their margin, like some reported in the press.

I’d like option of having receipts texted or emailed. I’d like a receipt for having added to account. Now viewing past orders is possible. But screen capture only way to make info available outside app. I haven’t found a way to see or receive a receipt for adding to balance. Would be nice to have a statement of cash transactions (Additions and total spent on each order, balance. Statement format.)

JoeCoffeeOrderAhead works well enough for ordering coffee, but it seems to have this incessant need to bother me throughout the day with notifications that I’m not interested in. This annoys me so much that it actually prompted me to write this review. I want notifications for when my coffee is ready, but I could care less about anything else. It would be nice to have a way of choosing which notifications are enabled.

Additionally, as an iOS app developer myself, I’d say JoeCoffeeOrderAhead feels more like a web page wrapped inside of an app rather than a native app. (Perhaps it’s the scroll bars on pages that don’t need them? Things just don’t seem to “fit” very well like I’d expect from a native app.) It could use some work in this regard, but overall it’s functional and effective. (I would probably rate JoeCoffeeOrderAhead 4/5 if not for the notification issue.)

I worked at one of the corporate coffee shops for over a decade but always loved supporting local shops. I fell in love with a new shop around the time I finally left there—THEN they started using Joe. It made it so convenient to order and pay ahead, plus I still earn reward drinks and can find local shops no matter where I go. I get notifications about double points days and other special offers, so I can choose my splurge days wisely. JoeCoffeeOrderAhead seems great to help local shops keep up with the reward and order ahead features of the big chain apps. It makes it easier and faster for me to get the coffee I love and shop local. 👍🏼

After starting a new job, I found myself drinking more and more coffee to get through the day. However, sitting in line at a coffee shop takes time away from doing my job or makes it difficult to get to work on time. JoeCoffeeOrderAhead has been a huge TIME SAVER! Using JoeCoffeeOrderAhead has dramatically reduced the amount of time I spend waiting for my drinks, allowing me to get to work on time and spend more time focused on my life rather than the line I would have to wait in. With a super convenient layout and an increasing amount of locations using JoeCoffeeOrderAhead , I don’t anticipate my use of JoeCoffeeOrderAhead (or my coffee consumption) to go down any time soon! 10/10 recommend!

There were some major flaws with the most recent update that have now been addressed:

1) Previously earned reward points were taken away - RESTORED
2) The ability to customize tips was taken away - RESTORED
3) The ability to include vehicle descriptions for curbside orders was taken away - RESTORED
4) The ability to reorder previous purchases - NOT YET RESTORED

Importantly, JoeCoffeeOrderAhead company needs to work on its communication with its clients and customer base, thus I’m only giving it 3 stars. The update was rolled out as a complete surprise (a very bad surprise), and there was no communication about what features were being added and what features would be taken away (even if temporary). But the biggest issue is that the reward point system is a huge black box. The company won’t specify and publish what counts towards points and what doesn’t (e.g. do taxes count? What about tip?). Through multiple attempts to provide feedback through the feedback link in JoeCoffeeOrderAhead , I was finally able to learn that spending $65 should earn 1,000 points, but they still didn’t say which dollars spent would count.

I started using JoeCoffeeOrderAhead when my local coffee shop advertised they were using it a few months ago. You can load money on your account, place your order and pick up your coffee with ease! JoeCoffeeOrderAhead saves your previous orders making it even easier to use. JoeCoffeeOrderAhead also has a point system to earn free drinks by collecting “Beans” with each purchase. The only issue I’ve come across while using JoeCoffeeOrderAhead is that on a couple occasions it has not “connected” with my coffee shops and because of that I was not able to place my order through JoeCoffeeOrderAhead . All in all, this is an easy to use well laid out app that rewards with what else, but free coffee!!

We have a local bakery we have been visiting twice a week for a few years. They closed during COVID but opened up with JoeCoffeeOrderAhead as an option to buy. What an improvement! Love that we can order from the car on the way there, then everything is ready for us. It can be a little glitchy, which is why 4 stars not 5, but I expect that will all improve soon. results in having to start an order from scratch, not duplicate payments (doesn’t remember what is in the ‘cart’ if you lose connection part way through). Love it though, and the rewards which we never took advantage of before!

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but I’m having trouble connecting with the owners through the “submit feedback” option in JoeCoffeeOrderAhead regarding issues that I’ve had and am having with JoeCoffeeOrderAhead upgrade. It’s very frustrating that I’ve only gotten an initial response via email from Nick, but after requesting further explanation, I’m all of a sudden “ghosted”. I would hope that it’s an upgrade glitch, and not due to the owners ignoring my concerns. If it is in fact due to an app glitch, it might be something you want to fix ASAP. I’ve had JoeCoffeeOrderAhead for years and only now am I having issues. Just curious, for those who have left reviews here stating the issues they’re having, is something actually done to remedy the problem?

Great app. Gives me an ability to order coffee ahead on my favourite coffee shop.

However, JoeCoffeeOrderAhead is very basic and has a lot of usability issues. It’s usable, but on bare minimum level. I’ve tried to add a card on the go for my first order and input controls are constantly jumping around and get hidden behind the keyboard, which is irritating. And why not to pay with Apple Pay? App navigation is confusing sometimes. Performance is weak and it takes an eternity to see coffee shops around. Location of my coffee shop on the map is not correct. I can see some debug strings here and there that shouldn’t be visible.

Hope JoeCoffeeOrderAhead get better. Can’t wait when the alpha version we have now turn into fully featured application.

I love where I live because it’s a diverse and rapidly connecting community and it is becoming my home! joe makes it easy to stay using your local coffee shops because JoeCoffeeOrderAhead makes it convenient for those mornings you’re running behind or if you really want your coffee pickup scheduled. I can order on JoeCoffeeOrderAhead and waste no time waiting! great use in keeping the community connected and sharing many varieties of classics and each shop usually expressing their creative freedom in coffee making with a handful of house drinks! at least from this perspective i’m still sipping a cup from home :)

Overall, great app. Awesome to support local with the convenience of an app, still earn rewards, and discover new shops. Unfortunately, not every shop is on here (that’s a given), but there’s still a substantial number to make downloading this worth your while. Only complaint is that sometimes JoeCoffeeOrderAhead doesn’t work the best. I’ve had some glitches where I couldn’t go back into my cart, or JoeCoffeeOrderAhead would just load forever. But those are relatively minor (and I’m sure the devs are constantly working on fixing it) and, as I said, it’s a great feeling to support local (and get better coffee) than just big chains.

After seeing JoeCoffeeOrderAhead show up in multiple coffee shops around my neighborhood I decided to download it and give it try. I was extremely happy with the user interface and felt that it catered to my every need when ordering my drink.

It was very helpful with allowing me options to choose what I wanted specifically in my drink and the one tap reorder system was GREAT! The progress meter was also something I was so happy to see to and where my drink was in the process.

I can’t speak more highly about using JoeCoffeeOrderAhead during my hectic day to day life. If you’re in a rush for coffee look no further than the Joe app.

It works just like your Starbucks or Pete’s coffee cards except it works with those independent coffee houses that you wish you had a card for! I am sitting outside the GOVERNOR’s CUP in Salem Oregon, where I use my Joe’s card almost every day. I order ahead, pay on JoeCoffeeOrderAhead , and my coffee is waiting for me, perfect every time. JoeCoffeeOrderAhead uses my choice of picture,, so they know it’s me when I walk in and nobody else grabs my Joe. The main thing is this, if your favorite coffee shop doesn’t use Joe, tell them to sign up as a vendor and you and they will be happy that you and did.

I use the Joe app to get coffee from my favorite local independent coffee shop, which is NOT on the way to work and typically has a long drive through line. JoeCoffeeOrderAhead allows me to swing WAY out of my way, while I’m en route (I have perfected the timing of when to submit the order), breeze in the door, grab my coffee and get back on the road. Consequently, I’m spending more on coffee, but supporting my fave local business in the process! There is a pretty big price difference between using JoeCoffeeOrderAhead & ordering direct, but it’s worth the time I save. I hope the shop is getting a good cut from the proceeds.

I love the Joe app. I use it nearly every day. I know it was recently updated and since then it has been slightly clunky at times. I realize you’ve updated it again and it looks great. With that being said, why did you remove the ability to instantly reorder something you’ve previously ordered? That was one of the best features of JoeCoffeeOrderAhead . It made placing your typical daily order so fast. Now instead of placing an order in a single push, you will need to navigate the coffee shops menu and place it from scratch each time. Please bring back this feature. Just my opinion.

The biggest issue I have is in trying to order two of the same item. It makes me put one item in the cart, then repeat the process.

The second is that I would like be able to make my local coffee shop my default for ordering without having to select this store every time I order. I cannot find a way to do this. I have had two orders placed that were never received by my coffee shop. I was careful to select the local shop, but the person in the store said sometimes orders go to the wrong store.

I have used enough apps to recognize good design and easy use. JoeCoffeeOrderAhead needs more work. I realize you are trying to make it useful for many different coffee shops, but I feel, since we only use our one local store, that I should be able to customize for that store.

What I appreciate the most with JoeCoffeeOrderAhead, is to have our coffee order waiting for us. In our COVID environment, it is helpful not to have to spend much time in any shop.

Coming from a smaller town, waiting in a large line at any of the 3 coffee shops in town is inevitable. When I go visit Seattle I would expect that wait to be even worse, but not with Joe! I wish we had Joe at home. You literally just use JoeCoffeeOrderAhead to order ahead and when you get to the coffee shop of your choice, your coffee is there and ready every time!! JoeCoffeeOrderAhead never disappoints!

Joe would be great in all the PNW! The creators of Joe are straight up geniuses! Love using JoeCoffeeOrderAhead whenever I come to the city💯💯💯

I was SO impressed with their customer service. When I had an issue they responded quickly and even gave me an extra little gift for being a loyal customer. Companies like this, stand out in a world full of cold corporations. They are warm and friendly, just like a great cup of joe. Not to mention, they make getting my morning coffee extremely easy. 👍🏻 10/10 would recommend. Side note: they help support local business, which impressed me even more

How many other apps out there are building a network of independent coffee shops and providing loyalty rewards? Few. Of those few, how many have intuitive design resulting in extreme ease of use and easy reordering? Even fewer. Of those, how many are built from the ground up for coffee and allow you to build a drink as simple or as complex as you like? One. The Joe app is the best app for mobile order ahead in today’s market. 5/5 no doubt.

I love using JoeCoffeeOrderAhead because it’s supporting local coffee businesses. I’m a very on the go kind of person and JoeCoffeeOrderAhead lets me do just that with my favorite local coffee stores! The map feature lets me know what coffee shops are supported and their hours and I get to try some new coffee places I haven’t tried before! Highly recommend using JoeCoffeeOrderAhead and checking out your local coffee shops on the go.

I’ve been a long time fan of Starbucks because of the ease of ordering ahead and having my drink waiting for me. In these cold winter months that’s super important! I found out about JoeCoffeeOrderAhead from my barista at Lionheart Coffee and it’s been a game changer! I love being able to order ahead and specify my drinks all while supporting local coffee shops. I hope every local coffee shop gets JoeCoffeeOrderAhead!!

As a single mom and small business owner, I’m always looking for new apps to hack my time and this is one of them. My morning latte is ready and already paid for by the time I pull up to the window. One less thing to stress over. JoeCoffeeOrderAhead is easy to navigate and worth the few seconds it takes to place an order. Seconds VS minutes. Time is $$$$!

I love using the Joe Coffee app to preorder coffee and goodies from my favorite local coffee chain. It is so easy to use and creat favorite orders so you can order on the run. It’s super helpful when placing large orders too so you can give the baristas a chance to work on the order before you arrive. Love being able to see the status of my order.

JoeCoffeeOrderAhead is honestly SO efficient. It helps you try out new coffee shops near you, especially useful if you are an on the go person like myself. Currently there’s not a LOT of shops, but the options available are amazing quality. I’ve tried quite a few shops through JoeCoffeeOrderAhead and the coffee has been incredible every time. Love it!

In the Experience Economy we live in today, and the tides shifting in terms of mobile ordering adoption, I believe that Joe Coffee App is paving the way for 4th Wave Coffee (experience driven coffee culture) to take root in a meaningful and hospitable way.

I am so glad my favorite local coffee shop started using Joe Coffee!! I only used to be able to make it there on the weekends, but now that I can mobile order I’m finally able to swing by every day on my way to work! I love that I’m saving money and getting better coffee because I’m not settling for Starbucks anymore! Win win :)

I love being able to order my coffee on the go and run to the shop I want it and walk in and grab it! It’s amazing! I love that points add up for a coupon and there was a random $1 off my order yesterday which was a very pleasant surprise! I can’t say enough good things about JoeCoffeeOrderAhead . It’s so great, simple, easy to use.

Before joe I’d always settle for Starbucks when I was in a rush. I don’t even like their coffee, but I guess it’s better than nothing. I can’t even explain how happy I am to be able to order ahead from my favorite local shop, and know my drink will be waiting when arrive.

Can’t say enough good things about this platform. It’s convenient and a great way to discover new shops. Has easily saved me 30+ minutes some mornings!! Also, support staff is amazing - responsive, friendly, and really takes your feedback seriously. Way to go, 10/5 stars!
