I was on a shoot yesterday using Teleprompter. I paired my phone as a remote and it worked well. Since I was using a proper this app mount, I tried to mirror the text, and it asked me to upgrade. Fine, that’s expected. I started the trial, and then the remote wouldn’t work—an error popped up saying I had to go pro to use it. But that’s what the free trial enables. It also worked fine on the free version earlier, so this was really confusing. So I upgraded to pro, and it still didn’t work. Every time I tried to pair an iOS device to use as a remote, I got the error. I could control my iPhone from the iPad, but it would give me the error the other way around. I turned the iPad on and off, closed Teleprompter and restarted, deleted and reinstalled, but I had the same issue each time. So I deleted it and downloaded another app that actually worked. I’m out the $4.99, and I got to look like an idiot in front of a client. But I learned a lesson: test all of the functionality of an app before the day of the shoot. Because normal, vital features might inexplicably get nerfed once you pay the developer.

Works mostly great, but after trying it a bit there are a couple things that annoy me.

First, when you are in record mode, every time you stop recording, or go back to edit the script you’re using, it resets the recording settings. Since I’m using an external microphone for professional quality audio, I must go into the settings and select the external mic every time this happens, or suffer the crappy audio quality of my phone’s built in mic.

Second, when you record, there is an opaque gray bar at the top of the screen. But what’s covered by this bar is still recorded! So it totally messes up the framing of your shot unless you realize this and compensate for it. Simply making this bar transparent would fix this issue. Now I have to go back and re-record everything I just recorded because of these 2 issues.

Teleprompter was fine to get me started on my channel, but as soon as I can find something better I’m ditching Teleprompter. It is annoying that I have to pay $5 a month to use an app that’s not very good. Controlling the scrolling speed is way too frustrating. The scrolling speed is either too fast or too slow. The dumb slider is too coarse and should be designed better. There is no reason that it could not be a numeric speed to one decimal place. Also linking one device to control another device locks up regularly while you are trying to record. You import a .rtf file but Teleprompter is very specific about where it can locate it. Teleprompter has a built in editor but it is very basic. Don’t even try editing on a phone in landscape mode. Overall I will be ditching Teleprompter as soon as I can find something better.

This this app app is a game changer to my music career. With Teleprompter, my music is gonna get back on the map. I suffer from memory loss, and I am a musician. I finally have a way to perform my studio tracks, because I don’t have to remember the lyrics! And with the foot pedal I ordered, on Tuesday nite at the Dessert Oasis in Detroit on Griswold, I’m planning to debut some of my songs that haven’t been played since they were written in the studio live in 2014 and 2015. I cannot express my gratitude enough for Teleprompter. Thank you for creating it!

Using this app helps with my zoom presentations SO much. I’m not a fan of public speaking, so I have the common issues of anxiety, talking too fast, forgetting something important, and not knowing where to look (a problem especially common on zoom). this app pretty much tackles all of that. It helps pace my talking speed, my script is right there so I won’t forget anything, and it gives me a focal point during the presentation. All of this helps reduce my anxiety. Definitely recommend!

Teleprompter has been a great resource for me as a performer! I’m able to easily and quickly add the content that I need, set the right speed and pace, and group things into folders to easily find it. It’s not made for the type of performances I do, (live music) but it works better for me than apps that were created for that purpose. Will definitely continue using and am looking forward to any updates that might enhance the experience.

What are the things I like about this application is that it’s very easy to use, it doesn’t have a lot of moving parts. It was easy to learn how to use it was not difficult to integrate into my process. What are the things I like better about Teleprompter than other apps I try is the dictation feature, speech recognition is very good with Teleprompter. What I don’t like about Teleprompter is that it’s difficult to edit on my mobile phone you have to scroll through the whole script in order to get where you need to make an edit

I just downloaded it today, it works great and was perfect for what I needed it for. I like the remote Bluetooth feature as well, super handy.

HOWEVER, when I first started recording I realized my script was backwards in the reflective glass. I went to click on the “switch text horizontally” option and it told me I had to upgrade to premium! You mean, to use an essential function, I have to pay for that?!?! That’s stupid.

I used the free trial option so I could get my work done today, but I may see if there is another option that will allow me to use it with a this app.

If you’re using a mini-this app like I am (Neewer X1) and are using your phone for text, you’re gonna need the mirror option. This is the only app I found that has it. Unlike BIGVU (which I used before), you won’t get lags or glitches, which needless to say will save you a lot of time and effort. The only con I can see with Teleprompter is the price, but I guess it is what it is. I still recommend it if you’re serious about your content.

Teleprompter has been quite a acid to my project. I had some thing to accomplish that required certain abilities and thankfully though I tried several apps this is the only one that had every option I needed to fulfill my project. with it I could change type size scroll speed and start and stop with the family for controls. also categorize and file and keep things orderly. thank you so much great app highly recommended.

It has easy understandable capabilities and options for a perfect purpose. Also does video record. Great tinier when practicing a change the world to Gods feet Speech. But it is simple and complete for your needs. Would be cool if the background music played off devices to Bluetooth speakers.. instead of the device it self. Would give way better sound quality. I did not see that option.

After trying several different this app apps for filming courses with our clients, this one does the trick. With long scripts, and hours worth of filming, it made our lives easier and not more difficulty. Our only complain is to have numbers on the font slider just like you do on the speed slider- without that, it’s hard to consistently replicate for each video, and you’re often guessing and tweaking between each script. Other than that it works great!

Teleprompter is great for what I used it for which is a Christmas play. I used the recording feature to teach the kids the entire play as video lessons, plus I used the scrolling this app part during the play so they could see their lines. It crashes occasionally but it’s worth it. The organization and folder structure is excellent, and the work you put in the cloud always saves it right where you left off. Thanks for the free version!

I work with a great group of doctors who are willing to produce and narrate videos to help their patients. We used Teleprompter to allow them to say exactly what they want to say - usually in just a few takes. I can import the script and when I hit record it counts down and then records. I will never try to do an on-camera narrated video without this this app again. It saved so much time!

Ok the encryption will help filter spam and delete all our conversations from the clouds base. The encryption will help you filter between imposters and real people online , the encryption will prevent your device from being hacked or monitor by third part RDP and the encryption will give us as to a private encrypted video network. I am a private person I will love you to get your device encrypted so you can thank me later.

I was asked to read something specific last minute for an online video. It was too long to memorize and I came across Teleprompter when looking for a solution.
You can make the font smaller or bigger so you can easily see it from a disarms and you can set the speed. It also looks like you’re looking right at the camera and not as though you are reading. It is awesome!

I’m just getting acquainted with this app but so far am very impressed! My primary use is to use it with my iPad for keeping set lists and scrolling lyrics for a few more difficult songs all on my stage table. Wish I could copy and paste from Word docs - so I’m manually typing in everything - but making progress there. Overall would recommend Teleprompter.

I love Teleprompter. I use it for my work to do my presentations. I can adjust the speed, the font size. I open Teleprompter and my presentation is right there. I push one button and I’m ready to make my calls. I spent weeks trying to memorize a script and then I found this wonderful app and now I feel completely comfortable and never have to worry if I missed a section of my presentation on accident.

If you download it just to try it will ask you agree to a 3 day trial. No problem right? Wrong! It is very confusing trying to cancel. I tried it for 3 days and cancelled on the third day. Still got charged for one month. No one to talk to or ask questions. Except the usual email us and eventually we’ll get back to you. Not sure if I would recommend Teleprompter itself, but if you wanna pay 10 dollars just to try it go ahead, hope it works for you. By the way I think that the only way to cancel the subscription is to delete Teleprompter then it will ask if you wanna cancel your subscription. FYI.

Very simple and easy to use on the go. I was assigned an urgent task of adding staff names at the end of MTV during a singing competition. Finally my department won the Top 1 among 12. And the judges specially pointed out that we were the only team showing respect to every staff member by putting their names on the big screen.
Won’t be able to achieve this without the handy app.

First, Teleprompter is free. To date, I have not had any ad hang ups to make the free version useless. Second, it’s the speech boost you need to transform your delivery from “ok” to “great.” You’ll seem more we’ll prepared and rehearsed. I have also found it’s a great way to prepare something - such as quotes - to memory. So, give Teleprompter a try and if all fails the pay app will gladly take your money.

Was working fine yesterday as I was able to record several scripts, the voila today unable to create new files when attempting to record simply receive a message stating unable to preform action. Removed app and reinstalled but still no luck; one thing to note is that the problem didn’t start until after I signed up for paid subscription, if you’re like me and need this for work maybe just keep using free version. Gave a two but if Teleprompter worked consistently possibly deserves a higher ranking

Hey there, I just paid for the pro version and I clicked through to check out your services through “Hire Me” and I got an alert that someone may be impersonating you to get my bank info. I immediately clicked away.
Now I’m freaking out. Should I be worried? Is it safe to use your app? Are you a hacker posing as a legit business? Lol sorry. I’m too trusting.

Honestly, I really love Teleprompter but when it comes to exporting the videos it’s really annoying.
I have NO idea why BUT, exporting the video to your iPhone album is FINE, but then exporting the video from your phone to your laptop or even just sharing the video, it doesn’t work. The video file is unrecognizable and when I airdrop it to computer it declines it??! But any other video gets accepted....So it’s kind of pointless me using Teleprompter because everytime I need the video, I can’t access it to start editing. Please help!

I had a Zoom meeting last night and needed to speak on behalf of a candidate. I imported the script into this app and it was a breeze. I was able to slow down the speed to my comfort zone. I placed my iPad behind my laptop and read the script- it appeared like I was speaking “off the cuff”!

I plan on using it more to narrate audio books. Love Teleprompter! Thanks so much!

Stop wasting time trying to “wing it”, be smart use this this app in the convenience of your phone, anywhere anytime. the ability to upload the pdf and be transferred accurately to the prompter is a plus! Once you get the timing right, you’re on your way to making millions for your contents. This is an investment well spent.

I don't know what else you might need in a this app. The speed adjusts easily, and it is so important to be able to adjust the size of the font.
The only thing that could be improved would be when one is editing. Teleprompter doesn't allow you to return to where you left off. That can be a little annoying, but otherwise, it is great!
