Works great as a baby camera!

I use it as a baby camera and it works GREAT! The price is not bad at all compared to all the other baby monitors. Five of my coworker have the same camera now. I can have full conversations across the camera. I have the primary account and I can allow access to other users (my husband or mom). I can also remove access to other users at ANY time. You can only use one account in one device. If someone else uses your log in info it logs you out. So I just made everyone that has access to create an account t. Now and then I do have difficulty connecting to the camera not any different than my Ring. I have actually bought 3 camera’s already for the playroom and living room. Satisfied with this product and recommend it!

Not ready for Prime time

Because the manufacturer has gone to cloud based cameras, my 4 existing cameras do not work with WansviewCloud and conversely the 4 new cameras do not work with the old app. That being said, the old app is head and shoulders above this version in stability, usability and functionality. This new version does not play well at all with the iPads where the old version works just fine. It hangs up trying to decide what the screen orientation is causing you to force quit WansviewCloud in order to move on anywhere else in WansviewCloud .
Wansview makes good cameras and their old non cloud based app is rock solid and that was the main reason I took the chance on the new family of cameras. The cameras are nice, too bad WansviewCloud is sorely lacking on functionality across devices. It does seem to work ok on my iPhone but I do 99% of my camera work on my iPad. Hopefully WansviewCloud will be updated and start working better with the iPads.

I am now buying from another Camera manufacturer

These cameras, from this specific company have given me nothing but problems. Over the years I have bought approximately 15 of their products. All the K4 cameras I bought, and there have been five, have failed. The old app that is used for the non-cloud-based cameras is very good. WansviewCloud is garbage. I am no longer doing business with this company. I think that they are not capable of providing quality. I have moved on. As their cameras fail I will replace them with another company‘s cameras. This of course complicates my life because I then have to load additional apps onto my phone. Today, I tried taking two of their Q5 cameras that I purchased and incorporating them into WansviewCloud. I spent hours trying to do this. I have done it many times before. Their app and their product would not register my cameras to their app. I will not do business with this company ever again.

app update

I’ve had these cameras for over a year and have never had any problems. I use them to watch my pets when I’m not home so there is one in every room. When I get home I used to shut them off so I wouldn’t get all the movement notifications. With the new update you can no longer turn them off. I’ve tried setting the privacy mode and it worked for 3-4 hours then the camera started sending notifications again. I now have to unplug them and try to remember to plug them back in when I leave which is inconvenient. Hopefully the next update listens to us users and adds them back or I’ll be looking for new cameras.

No warning….

No explanation, but their system went down. Removed app, downloaded again, unplugged camera, wasn’t working. We bought a new camera (we can’t even use from it not being 5G), and had to order ANOTHER one online then, which we are still waiting on.

Then I get a notification THIS one is up an running again. That’s great, except the camera got thrown away and we already bought two more cameras … all because no explanation was given when the system went down.

Thanks for letting us know. We just assumed the camera went kaput. Maybe a little explanation? Because we chose this brand, we are out of money that could have been used for our baby. True the 5G camera issue was my mistake, but I never would have ordered it in the first place if I had known my camera was temporarily out.

Love it

I really love this camera i had bought a knockoff camera similar to this one and returned it and got lucky when I did this is much better camera i like the simpleness to WansviewCloud easy to use my only wish is that an away from home option is added that you simply flip and it turns on the motion alert if it’s not in the schedule you set up it took a couple times to figure out i have to turn my schedule times off just to turn the 24/7 on if I’m just living the house and I want to put it on then when I look it was off I don’t know if I existed to fast but a simple right when you open WansviewCloud switch would be a nice feature

Works Great

Great with cloud and Echo Show. Stopped working for a minute through Alexa, but just had to update, then disable and re enable app through Alexa Skills & Games. Hope this helps. Much less expensive than a Ring camera, but just as good in my opinion minus the doorbell feature. But if you already have a doorbell, who cares? I have mine indoors facing my front porch. I keep the infrared turned off because I read the reflection off the window can damage the camera. Dk if that’s correct or not. The porch light provides enough light for the camera to see just fine.

Love cameras, app issues

I live everything about these cameras, I have 4, purchased in August, 2021. We have used on 2 iPhones and 2 iPads without issue. Suddenly, 1 ipad will not show cameras in landscape mode. When I opened WansviewCloud before it would start in portrait mode until I selected a camera to view. Then it would rotate to landscape. Nothing about WansviewCloud in that iPad works properly. All settings across each device are the same. Disappointed that I can’t find the problem. I replaced an iPad last week and transferred all data from an iPad that works properly. The issue appeared on the new iPad.

Great when it works

This camera is great when it works, but more times than not, it goes offline during the night. Considering the reason I got it was to keep an eye on my mother with dementia during the night, this is very frustrating. And customer support is difficult to reach, slow to respond, and are always telling me to do exactly what I told them I just did. I finally gave up trying because I am moving her to assisted living soon.

Nice camera

I bought this camera because my other webcam camera started acting up. I really like this camera but am a little disappointed that I am not able to load WansviewCloud to my iPad. Actually, it does load but when you open it, it won’t finish so you are not able to do anything with it. Tried a few times and the same result. I really wanted it to work on my iPad too because when I travel, I use my iPad a lot and would like to check my animals on the camera. So hopefully, they fix this problem.

No Landscape View for iPad?!?!?!?!

There is not an option to view in landscape which is especially rough for iPad users that have Magic Keyboard! In order to view, I have to remove my iPad from the Magic Keyboard and turn upright. This just seems ridiculous for something that offers such an easy solution from WansviewCloud developer. If there is not going to be an app specifically for iPads, it is imperative the standard iOS app offers landscape view! It is so tedious for me to have to remove my iPad setup to turn the iPad upright (which is a significantly inferior viewing display). The failure of the option to view in landscape is definitely enough to return the otherwise very good, inexpensive camera!

App needs updating

WansviewCloud only allows one user to to login at a time but as a family we need multiple access and having to log in every time because WansviewCloud logs you out when someone else logs in is time consuming. Plus it logs the other person out. You get more stars if you fix this simple app issue.

And I’m noticing some of the users here giving WansviewCloud 5 stars have generic or what appear to be random computer generated names with only 1 line. Apple should check the validity of these rankings because there are lots of valid issues being brought up but WansviewCloud still has 4.8 stars.

Very deceiving ☹️

The picture quality is good. The price and sound quality is great! So I have no complaints on them. But I do have a problem sharing the camera with family. I tried several times to send E-mail link to family members but they ever received it and it’s not in the spam either. I have WansviewCloud on my phone and a tablet I thought since they could not receive the email I could at least sign in under my user name and password and let a family use one of the devices. But you can only be sign in on one at a time. So that’s a bomber!! 😭

Absolutely Terrible

This camera is so awful I wish I could give it 0 stars. It NEVER stays connected. We even went as far as changing our internet to see if we were actually the problem, but nope. We have the best internet you can get and the camera is in the same room as the router and modem and it still doesn’t work. It will connect, but won’t stay connected. Unplugging it and plugging it back in use to fix it, but now we have to completely restart the camera and even with that, once you try to move the view of the camera it loses connection. Completely useless.

New pop up

I never had too many issues with WansviewCloud, we have been using it for over a year now. But a couple days ago I started getting pop ups when I am watching the camera. I still receive the normal notification in the banner, but this pop up will appear to tell me there is motion! If I am in WansviewCloud , watching the live video, why do I need a pop up to tell me there is motion. There needs to be a way to turn this off, or it needs to be deleted. It is driving me crazy having to constantly hit cancel.

It’s great, except for the advertising in the messages.

WansviewCloud works great. I love being able to see and hear my baby when I’m away from her. I love the feature of being able to move the monitor’s camera around.

I don’t like getting the advertisement messages though. I wish there was a way to disable that feature or opt-out. If there was a way to opt-out of those messages, I’d give it a 5-star review.

Wansview should have this in their new update

Overall I love the Wansview cameras as I have 7 cameras all Wansview and I have recommended Wansview to many people. I just feel like they should add some things like a separate spotlight accessories that works with the B3 camera to where the spotlight attaches to the camera and turns on when it detects motion. I also feel like they should add a feature in the camera where we can play a siren through the camera from WansviewCloud .

What is the limitation with only allowing one device log in??

It just really confuses me, it’s the biggest deal breaker for me. Constantly having to log in because you’re logged out whenever another device logs in. My wife and I both share the account to check on the house or kids during the day and night and it is absolutely frustrating that this isn’t allowed or apparently possible?

Maybe it’s a hidden setting that needs to be allowed that I didn’t find idk but it’s really annoying.

Camera Constantly Drops Internet

Don't waste your time. Every time I have to update WansviewCloud all my cameras go offline. All TWO of them. Each time I'm told to move the camera closer to the router. I live in s TINY apartment and these worked JUST FINE for 6 months straight so why am I getting troubles now?? They're less than 15 feet from the router! If you bought these just smash them with a hammer. Better waste of time than actually trying to reconnect to wifi a thousand times! You have to enter the wifi name AND password EVERY TIME it decides it doesn't want to connect! I hate you Wansview!

Display issues

The scaling / screen ratio of WansviewCloud isn’t compatible with laptops or iPads. This Makes it very difficult to view the camera’s live feed. Also the customization features such a being able to remove the time tag are not included with the new app. Everything works okay, just some minor improvements that would make WansviewCloud much better.

Viewing Cameras Eats up your battery life on iPhone!

This is the only app that will just eat my battery life. If there is a way to post pictures I’d show that in 4 minutes of screen on using WansviewCloud it utilized 5% of my battery life as proof. iPhones allow you to see everything that uses your battery life for optimization. I watched my percentage drain and wanted to verify that I wasn’t wrong. I can get like 2 days of battery life from normal use but definitely not if i use WansviewCloud to check my cameras. Please fix this!

The latest update fixed the crashing issue when switching from quad-view. Also it connects to cameras much faster!

Review of Wansview

Hands down the worst app on my phone. It took 3 hours for me to get sent the verification email. When it was sent I was told that I would have to do it again. Finally when that whole fiasco was over the camera did not respond. When it finally did respond it was night and the night vision camera would not work. So I would not recommend this to someone who does not have the time or patience to deal with all the problems you will face.

Sound no sound

I like these just received them today and set them up but cannot hear anything ive reset them twice it worked and it stopped again i can't hear the person on the two way either. Do i have to keep resetting everytime and reconnect to wifi all the time!?

Requires an invite from the linked device to view the camera. There isn’t an intuitive way to discover and realize this is possible.

Camera great, but...

Camera itself and the quality both good.
However, there are some major issues:
1. Camera got disconnected and I had to setup and connect it to wifi again. It also lost past recorded videos.
2. App: there should be a “NEXT” button when navigating videos. It’s very difficult to review previously recorded videos in a quick manner

How does one get help?

Set up 2 cameras to keep an eye on our entrances, but seems only oneperson (iphone or ipad) can monitor at a time. How is “family sharing” supposed to work?

Other than that, my wife and I like it.

Won’t even start up!

Was adequate: great image, so so sound, slow connection. But it would actually start. Now it won’t start up. Tried updating, then uninstall/reinstall. No good.

Trying to connect w support, but just a screen in another language and it won’t completely load up. Gonna be pretty upset if my cameras become just paperweights.

WansviewCloud does not work at all on my IPad Pro. When I say it doesn’t work I mean all you see is the opening of App with no links and no instructions. ?????? This makes the camera useless and a waste of money. Unfortunately I tried hooking it up a day past return date.

Be forewarned. The Wansview cloud service is a RIP off. It does not show all movement upon replay. It does not show people entering and exiting the property which is the whole point. It does show cars passing. I have communicated with Wansview several time and none of there suggestions worked. I believe that the know that there service is faulty.

my wansview camer Q5 WHICH IS OUTSIDE USES ALL MY PHONE BATTERY. i DONT KNOW WHAT I DID WRONG. I am not on cloud . what other device can i hook camera viewing to at nite if someone goes in my yard? Ipad? viewing monitor? I dont want to keep using my phone to view. thank you. Do i need a memory card?

I got 1 wansview W5 and it connected so easily to my BT hub, was a breeze to set up and pux was v.clear in the room. So bought 3 more wansview W5 and that too connected to the app easily. The only problem I encountered was with 1 of them which would not respond to the console to swivel it.it kept freezing and also kept going offline. Now it is responding better. Overall satisfied with all of them. I do not get continuous recording even if I put in a microSD card in 1 of my indoor camera I don't get continuous recording to watch. What then is the use of putting in an SD card? What is the review on W9 the outdoor camera? I would like to try that too if it is any good and has colour pix in night mode.

Everything was working fine only had camera a week went offline twice for no reason as is close to hub, then at 11:40 the Wansview app just completely won’t work get a message saying problem with our server we fixing this 4 hours later still unable to use 😳

My iPhone iOS upgraded to version 14.2. The Wansview app does not connect to camera now. It just says “connecting” and does not work. Please help.
