1/7/22 I’m updating my review because this company does not stand behind their product. I no longer can recommend this product. The lights and controllers did not hold up and the app is full of bugs. I really love these lights. All in all the lights installed easily and connected to HomeKit with no issue. The app has nice preset dynamic effects and they work great. However, if you attempt to play with some of the other pre made effects the lights freeze, not all of them but about half. This is extremely frustrating. You also can’t really do much in the advanced customization tab either because this also freezes the lights and they won’t respond. I know these are bugs that may or may not get fixed but it would be nice if everything worked like it was designed to do. The amount of customization available with these lights is incredible if they can get it to work properly. Again, I’m rating the app and not the lights, the lights are a solid 5 stars, the app just needs some attention and bug killer.

Even the “official library” custom displays use colors that can’t actually be created, specifically sharp orange and reds. The few color options in the custom design menu are all really dull. There are really cool options for making custom designs but with how much work was put into creating that system it is really lame that you only get like 10 color options. You should also ad the ability to fade between colors/frames rather than just flashing. Without these changes the feature is pretty worthless. If you can address these two issues I’d gladly call this a 5 star app.

I naively gave this app all my personal information and my WiFi password. I liked the lights and colors initially but gave up on them once I tried to sync the two and ended up wasting 45 min trying to get them to work. I didn’t think anything of it until my credit cards were hacked the next day. I’ve never been hacked. There is absolutely no reason why this company needs to have access to your location at all times, be connected to your Bluetooth and have your personal WiFi password unless it was spyware.
