Poorest customer service I have ever had

This July my so called account manager had me open a Blue Wallet account. He then had me send my bit coin profits to this account. Once this was completed I noticed that I could not extract my funds. I emailed blue wallet and I was told I had to pay to do so and I was sent another bitcoin address to send the money too. Every time I sent money 50% was not included in my balance, therefore after double paying I received an email telling me that I was scammed and to pay $10,500 again to release the funds. In the last email I received there were so many grammatical errors and misspellings that it made it ver difficult to read. I’m not understanding of how a company that is working with funding and legalities would allow for improper correspondence. I let them know if this and have yet to hear back. I have also noticed that my wallet never showed exactly the correct amount and everyday the funds are lesser and lesser. I also requested , since these are my funds, that this so called $10,500 be paid from my funds in the account since they do belong to me and I was told NO! I’m not so sure this is a legitimate business and I will be perusing legal action. If I had to rate them based on my experiences I would give them a -10.

Getting Buggy Lately

I was recently unable to export my this app Lightning wallet from my old phone and import it to my new one. I get an unknown API error. I instead tried creating a new Lightning wallet, but it requires a LNDHub node address. My old one doesn’t seem to work and I don’t know where to get a new one. None of the docs make it seem like this node address should be required, but it is. Finally, I just decided to send my sats to a different Lightning wallet, but the send always fails, again with an unknown API error. Pretty severe problems for a wallet application!

Errors when I try to sent sats

I’ve had this wallet for over 2 years now and it worked great whenever I had to send sats from most bitcoin earning apps I was using. It had a high 4 star rating which is why I chose this one out of the many others out there. Now that I found a new wallet with more and better features, I want to send my collection to my new wallet but I consistently get a JSON parse error, which I am interpreting as “all your sats are mine”. I’ll update my review if I ever get my sats out. My warning to others: read the reviews and check the rating. It’s like for a reason.

SCAM CITY! Marcos wants your seed!

Guys watch out, they use telegram as a support avenue and I used it- twice. The first time solved my issue. But the second time? You gotta read this… I spoke with “Marcos” who insisted that there was a bug “in my wallet” and my device had a “Trojan” (LULZ!!!) and that I needed to give him my recovery phase in order to resolve the issue. Ok Marcos. Sure buddy. As soon as I started to question him, he got very snippy with me. And things escalated- not the issue, but his heated attitude with me. Interestingly enough there was an issue, ok more like a big vulnerabilty, with React Native going on at that time, and it might of lead to the problem I initially contacted Marcos about; BlueWallet is/was built with react and it totally correlated with my unexplained behavior with BlueWallet . But, Marcos doesn’t know how to explain these things, instead just wants your seed. TRUE STORY, one to write about ;)

Stay away!! Not you keys, not your coin.

Any coin you keep in “your” lightning network wallet is no longer your coin. You have an ACOUNT with blue wallet where they keep a tab with how much BTC you have with them. Once your coin is in their possession there is no way with this wallet to get it back. You’d have to use yet another third party service to get your coins back on the block chain. THE WITHDRAW FEATURE DOESN'T WORK. They claim it is coming soon. They have all of your coins and they don’t let you withdraw. Sounds fishy to me.

On top of that, every time I bring this up on reddit I get harassed my their employees and who I suspect are hired advertisers. Daily harassment about my judgement for this wallet.

They are going to exit scam with thousands of dollars, just wait and see. You might only have $5 on your account but times that by thousands and they have a nice scheme going on.

Not a bad mobile wallet but backup and restore is bad

It’s not a bad wallet and nice to have lightning but the description of being able to view “selected wallets and transactions using your other Apple iCloud connected devices” made me think, this app backs up the Bitcoin and Wallet info using iCloud. It doesn’t! When I got a new phone, I lost my BTC and Lightning wallets because I assumed they were backed up in iCloud :-( My mistake for being in a rush and not remember to check that I had the keys written down but doing a full restore on a new device made me think this would be the case with my this app too. Unfortunately, it was an expensive mistake.

Simple and easy

Good wallet, one of very few that actually is able to import ypub public addresses. Makes it a great watch only wallet for trezor hardware wallets. Would be even better if we could label receive addresses for watch only wallets.

🔥

Great wallet! I originally chose this wallet for the look. Im a minimalist and many crypto wallets are tacky and and just plain annoying. Blue Wallet is clean, simple, useful and secure. I love the encryption feature! I have my main wallets and another wallet which is accessed though a different password. Blue wallet life hack: I only expose my main wallets when transferring funds, but keep my XPub “watch only” address, a wallet with a small amount of btc and my lightning wallet on a completely separate account. I also turned my data off and only use a secure WiFi network. I like to think of this as “warm” storage lol

Review for user ‘ GlitchReview’

First off, I just like to think blue wallet for hosting these comments. Now, Mr. GlitchReview, bravo..👏🏼 I’m not one to take the time and write a review, but since you did such a smashing job on boosting my confidence in BlueWallet to the point, I realized you stop and took time to create that comment because you were that excited about the service it provided. I feel it necessary to stop and take the time to comment that your comment was a great comment. Oh and blue wallet yeah what he said.

Love this App

BlueWallet is awesome and I know that so well because I am one of the developers❤️❤️. First and foremost I love the fact that you can check if a specific address is yours. I was new to crypto about a year ago and I often wonder this cause I have a gazillion addresses written down, it’s enough to make your head spin. It’s super easy and convenient to use, I mean really easy guys!!! Security and privacy is also the upmost importance to Blue Wallet. Great work to all the developers involved!!

THANK YOU Best Devs

Ive been using Blue Wallet for so many years now I don’t even remember. Blue Wallet used to have a feature called a lightning wallet where they held the coins for you so you could get quicker transactions and less fees. However they discontinued this awhile ago, meaning that if you did not transfer your money in time to a normal wallet, then you would lose access to all of it.

I only found out about this a year+ after the wallet was discontinued. I sent a request to the Devs, but assumed that it was lost forever. The blue wallet devs could have easily taken my money and kept it for themselves (expected in the crypto world), but today I got a notification that they sent all the money off the discontinued wallet! These devs are such incredible people. Thank you so much devs!! I am so grateful

Praise & Suggestion

I love BlueWallet and I use it exclusively for lightning payments, and sending people bitcoin.
Can there be a feature, where upon opening BlueWallet , hides my balances so that prying eyes can’t see them when I so use the wallet in public. As bitcoin become more ubiquitous privacy features will need to be more embedded for everyday use. Thank you for all you do and making a great app.
Peace 🙏🏾⚡️

Great lightning experience!

This is the first experience I’ve had with lightning and I have to say, they’ve made it very easy to use. Paying invoices is as easy as making a transaction on-chain (scanning a barcode and a couple clicks), but in seconds instead of minutes waiting for confirmation. I have also tested creating invoices and it works flawlessly.

One thing I would like to see in future versions is a way to expand the details of lightning transactions and change/add memos.

I have been playing around tipping projects here and there and reading articles on yalls. It’s an awesome technology that has the potential to fundamentally change electronic transactions in groundbreaking ways.

Simple & Powerful

The website says 'Radically Simple & Powerful Bitcoin Wallet' and I'd have to agree. While I'm not big into crypto, this has been my daily hot wallet for the past few years. It's always been reliable, and despite an outwardly simple looking UI, there is plenty of function, multisig and lightening support in particular have been welcomed additions.

Good support

BlueWallet restored a bip 49 hd wallet I created in another app I have been using for years, which is more than I can say for most of the other apps here. I am very pleased with that because I was afraid of what might happen if the other app failed in some way or fell out of support. I have not tried it with a passphrase yet. I wanted to wipe it off my phone and just keep the mnemonic.

Best mobile wallet for IOS, hands down!

This is the BEST wallet for mobile on IOS without a doubt! BlueWallet makes it super easy for my beginner friends and as they learn more they can start playing with the more advanced features BlueWallet comes with, but doesn’t force on users. It can be combined with a hard wallet for cold storage and it allows for you to connect the backend to your own personal node over Tor so you can verify all your own transactions and don’t have to trust this app with anything!

BlueWallet is killin it! This team is killin it! And not to mention, it’s open source! I recommend this wallet to everyone, beginners and vets. This wallet is leading the future in ease of use on a UI standpoint, and the future of great bitcoin transaction handling. *GET THIS WALLET*

The best mobile wallet for orange pilling

It’s easy to set up, open source and very secure. Intuitive and allows you to add and manage multiple wallets in one place. The “watch wallet” feature is great for keeping track of cold wallets while keeping your private keys offline. No other wallet has all these features.

Quite pleased overall

Using MultiSig wallet purchasing BTC through Swan. Customer service by e-mail was available when needed from the developer. Blockchain verification of purchases is available in BlueWallet or online. Allowed me to begin with minimal knowledge and purchase securely holding my own keys.
Also installed on MacBook Pro.

Simple

I have downloaded a few wallets but Blue wallet has been my number one as a hot wallet. The simplicity of the features is great for someone like me that is just learning about Bitcoin and not very tech savvy. Also, I was able to set up a Lightning Wallet with a click of a button and it’s right in the same app - love it!

People Don’t Understand Bitcoin

80% of the negative reviews of BlueWallet is people that have gripes with bitcoin network speed or have fundamental misunderstandings of what Blue Wallet is.

No app is perfect, but I love the simple design and the watch-only capability so you don’t have to leave seed phrases on BlueWallet and risk theft through phone access.
