Their website said nothing about IOS version only working on iOS 13.4 or below. It said for 13.4+ to set it in config mode 2.
Got it connected but when going to set a game config, there are NO official options.
When trying to keymap your own config, half of the functions do not work.

After hours of troubleshooting, I found their janky Facebook page that doesn’t allow any messages unless it’s a bot response.

The controller took 3x as long to arrive and then didn’t come with proper instructions for which all to download.

Turns out, they merged them all into the this app app but didn’t update their documentation.

I’m returning this controller tomorrow, total waste of money.

Why does the this app x2 lighting not have g touch? Or a remap function? Or better why why is there not a option to connect it to the this app app? Ridiculous honestly. If you only and I mean only wanna play maybe 10 games on iOS then get one but otherwise don’t. I have a iPhone 13 mini so games like apex and cod mobile work fine because they already support controllers but I can’t remap anything. Support all your devices.

It seems like they finally brought back support to g5 controller. I got g-touch to work on the g5. First time I upgraded the firmware to the latest it upgraded but I was unable to get g-touch to work. I downgraded the firmware and updated again to the latest and g-touch is working with US official pubg mobile app. The only issue I’m having is after key mapping is complete and saved to the controller. I am noticing that 2 buttons cannot be pressed at the same time. Ex. I can’t run and jump or walk sideways and aim and shoot at the same time. I literally have to stop moving and shoot. Once they fix this I think this controller will be great. Until then I would hold off on purchasing. I do have the g6 and that is working great.

To start this i have had my Aimbox Vx2 for quite a while about 8 months if I am correct, there has been no previous issues until recently when i started using it again. I use it normally nothing is wrong for a while until i go into GameSir to change a setting or two then I am met with a completely different device in place of the Aimbox and it still connects me but does not show anything, there is no setting to change settings, no help manual/guide nothing, I do not want to give up on Aimbox but this is an ongoing issue that is really effecting it. Please fix this.

First off this use to be a good game pad.... somewhere down the line they got too comfortable and lazy. Your customers are telling you to fix the problems, all you did was changed your this app insignia emblem....... here’s a thought instead of sittin there coming up with a new image for the company why don’t you focus on the 1 major problem, which is figuring out how to fix the major IOS problem. Oh by the way in the near future, it would be nice to have a notification WARNING us in advanced not to go through with new IOS update for it might affect the game pad such as non-usable garbage afterwards..... you guys are terrible in this market. I bought a this app X2 Bluetooth controller in April, and while it works well as a controller, GameSir is completely unable to connect to it at all, meaning all of the key mapping abilities of the controller are completely useless. They said at the time that only iOS “13.8 and below” were supported, and that they were working on it. It’s now November and iOS is on version 15. If you can’t keep your app up to date it shouldn’t be in GameSir Store.

Bought a x2 for my iOS thinking it would be a great investment but forgot to look into it deeper. Came to find out it does not work on the latest iOS update and people have been saying it has not been updated for sometime now. Moral of the story is don’t invest without doing research, wasted money on a product that doesn’t even work is a poor mistake on my end. Hoping it will get fixed but others have been claiming it has worked since iOS 13.1 and we are currently at 15.4 this is not a good look on the devs.

After firmware updates the mapping of the virtual L stick is complete rubbish! It’s virtually acting as if it’s “sticky” and will snap a character around. If you press left and let go the character will point up, not stay facing to the left, etc. and still there is no guide or tutorial how to take advantage of any features. It’s all trial by error. The hardware except for the listed bug is quite good and in theory it should work flawlessly but the firmware updates and the arcane software really cripple the experience

I bought the G6 controller a while ago and it worked perfectly fine but with the recent iOS updates it stopped working.
Originally GameSir said that it wasn’t Compatible with iOS 13.4 or older but they were working on it, I was a bit annoyed but decided to wait it out until the developers worked it out.
Not long ago part of their “update” was that now the controller was compatible with iOS 13.4 and older.
Well if it is, it’s not working or I’m doing something wrong.
GameSir itself only was information on “how” to connect with your Apple device however it doesn’t provide any information to contact the developers in order to fix the problem or to contact anyone at all for any malfunctioning issues. Overall it’s useless if I can’t do anything with it.

I just bought the Galileo g8 thinking it had its own mapping feature for none supported games knowing GameSir won’t work with it now I have it can’t map keys to the game I want to play accidentally got the LT button on turbo and stuck and just want to play my favorite game which is better to play with a game pad I used to use a this app x2 for that game and made it more barnacle to play now I needed a new game pad cus it won’t work on my iPhone15 pro max and can’t even map the buttons please fix this to support mapping on the Galileo g8 game pad I’m sure it runs great on supported apps but I want it for that particular game

The this app G8 Galileo itself is actually amazing. I love the buttons and feel and crispness of the presses. It’s overall quite the impressive device. That said, the lack of support through the this app app for the G8 is ridiculous. Games that use touchscreen controls should be playable by remapping through GameSir . But without the proper support. It’s just horrendous. I would give the G8 a 9/10 but that crucial missing functionality, for mobile, drops it to a 7. Game pass streaming still shines.

Can anyone help? I bought a vx2 but when I go into the this app app I can’t get an option for vx2 aimbox to show up even though I’m paired to the device in settings

I like the product a lot but it could use some improvements definitely. Like the customization button on GameSir keeps disappearing on my phone and connecting it is kinda confusing but besides that it’s pretty good and will change my rating when the problem is fixed

I love the nee g8 controller but I noticed GameSir does not have this controller as an option. I would love to try out the g touch feature for some of the touch control games that I have. Please add this!
There are several other features that the google play store version of GameSir has and this one does not. It would be nice to have those featured on the IOS version.

GameSir is ok. Everything you need is here but for my Nova Lite, after updating to v5700 and forward, my usb dongle recognizes it as a Pro Controller on Windows. I’m staying on v4200 until the control keeps being an Xbox controller with dongle. Good thing is you can easily upgrade and downgrade the firmware. But controller should keep being Xbox controller with dongle on future upgrades.

I failed to look deeper into this before purchasing but IOS as of right now does not have VX2 Aimbox support on GameSir and this is the version I purchased. I bought two of them, one for me, one for my brother. His works smoothly with the VX Aimbox software however mine doesn’t read key inputs correctly but the mouse works extremely smooth. Over half my keyboard isn’t reporting any key at all and the keys that do work are not registering as the key I am pressing. Just a software bug more then likely but would really like to see if the new app update would fix this issue for me.

VX AIM box is fantastic. It works with PS5 as long as u use the ps4 controller. So far no issues what so ever, except there is no full auto fire mode like VenomX. I was trying to figure out how to get full auto fire through their combo mode feature. The issue wasn’t resolve, but the team was fantastic and very responsive to my emails. Thank you again. I highly recommend VX AIM box for PS5 user who would like to use mouse and keyboard, as I said make sure u are using the ps4 controller.

Hey I’m just gonna say I updated my phone to ios 13.5 and GameSir worked perfectly for me. I know a lot of reviews were talking about how they were upset that iOS 13.4 wasn’t working with GameSir but I promise updating to 13.5 works. I was able to set my configurations and even update the firmware. I was using the vx2 aimswitch

I didn’t really need to download GameSir, because the G8+ worked perfectly with my iPhone 14 Pro out of the box and I expect it to with future USB C phones. I would’ve had to buy 2 backbones for nearly 4 times the total price as my g8+ to support both those Apple lighting and USB C phones. The product is just great all around, but anyways, I just downloaded GameSir days later just to see what it offers. It let me update the firmware easily with good status indicators and let me modify a wide range of settings very easily. I obviously won’t need to use GameSir much, but I wanted to say it just works great which is not a given, and I suspect the negative reviews here are outdated or from older product lines.

I’ve been using the X1 BattleDock well over 3 years never had a problem, until I updated to iOS 14.2...love the product but knowing it’s definitely a software problem and not hardware. Its kinda out of my hands to get it to work. The X1 connects to my device and even works in FPS-docks, also another app called geekgamer (also know in App Store as UUBOX) I found that it looks similar but actually seems to work better, controls still doesn’t manage to work in game. Can you please keep me posted on (if) a new firmware update or even an app update with get it fixed. I would really like to keep using my X1 BattleDock. Thank you.
