The service is a fly by night operation. They take your orders and don’t even place the order until 50 minutes after you used TakeoutCentral . When you call customer service they will then lie and tell you that they had just placed to order and then wait another 10 minutes before actually doing so. Then on top of lying to your face the customer ‘service’ agents talk over you, are absolutely unconcerned. about your experience and just repeat the same excuses over and over. Then to top it all off after the food is an hour late they will not cancel or refund your order. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS.
Edit removing stars 5/1/18: 1) App doesn’t reflect the appropriate menu at the appropriate times (ie dinner menu is offered at lunch leading to orders that can’t be fulfilled) 2) App doesn’t update when a restaurant is no longer taking orders leading to frustration placing an order and then receiving a call that the restaurant is closed for ordering 3) App is inaccurate when an item is out of stock at HQ like beer and wine leading to more frustration and cancelled orders. These are super frustrating flaws and all three have happened to me in the last week resulting in wasted time and cancelled orders. I’m not using TakeoutCentral any longer.
Original review: App works well, basic ordering process worked without any issues. Now items for next update- 1) if you have my address already from my account you don’t need location services active. Having it pop up each time asking me to enable location services when my address is already on the screen is annoying. Offer a location locator button for people who want to use that service. 2) have order status available in TakeoutCentral , i.e. “your delivery hero is at your restaurant” and have notifications when your order status changes 3) I imagine the restaurants provide photos of the food in the background but some of them just look gross. Closeups of food aren’t always appetizing!
It’s currently just a repeated video of some food that plays over and over again. Not even a menu for you to sign in.
TakeoutCentral doesn’t work. It can’t find your location and it won’t search for any alternate address. There’s no way to see restaurants or place and order.
Enabled gps. Still can’t find address. Ok that’s fine. I will search for my address. Press search and nothing happens. Reverted back to the website.
Just downloaded TakeoutCentral to use to order dinner but it will not locate address - in fact it isn’t locating any address right even manually entering in the address. Hopefully there is an update/fix coming very soon. Thanks!
App still needs a lot of work, just signed up [14 August 2019] only availABLE in portrait mode on my iPad, not easy to access/navigate, especially w/keyboard blocking 1/2 screen

I just moved to a new state and this is TakeoutCentral most restaurants in the city use😕. It has a good restaurant selection, but there is no tracker that shows your order was received, the courier is at the restaurant or that it’s being picked up. You order and TakeoutCentral closes out after you click a button 😧. App developers- please look at Grubhub, Door Dash, Uber Eats or Postmates for tracking/gps ideas. It’s weird this is 2019 and you can’t see your order progress on here. Also TakeoutCentral is more expensive fee wise than the others mentioned above. If I’m paying more I should be able to get updates and see the progress 😑. Unfortunately the restaurant only had their menu available on Takeout Central today, otherwise I would have ordered from Grubhub 😒.
Not signing me in automatically. Not recalling passwords. Having to frequently change password. App is currently a mess. Use your PC instead.
Not sure why, but app is not recognizing my login, so I have to change my password each time. Hope it’s fixed soon.
It won’t pick up my location, and it won’t let me add a new address. It’s useless.
Fees are too high
If I order thru the takeout central web page (vs TakeoutCentral ) and then try to use TakeoutCentral to receive updates, there’s no way to check out current orders or history. I could find nothing on TakeoutCentral that referenced any part of my profile except for my home address. The GPS was way off ...
They have several great restaurant options. Additionally, their text alerts and online tracking helps monitoring their progress. The fees are expensive but well worth it, especially during these times. Please remember to tip the drivers well. The doorbell is rang and hot food is left on the doorstep. Hopefully, they create a rewards program that would help costs in the future. Overall, very satisfied

Takeout Central is the best delivery service available in town- they always let me know immediately if there are issues with my order, and TakeoutCentral is simple and easy to navigate.

This is a small company that works cooperatively and fairly with the restaurants they serve. The drivers, who are also treated fairly, are great about bringing orders carefully in great condition. All good people and a service I feel good about using!
If you are an addict of delivery (like everyone is during Covid) you can count on Takeout Central. I have used other service and they don’t have any real support whereas a local person always calls from Takeout Central if there is a problem.
