Brandefy Reviews

Can’t build a skincare routine because they don’t have anything I use on the list. I use very popular brands and I find it odd the will only have one or two items from different brands listed.

They send marketing emails but there’s no way to turn them off without blocking their emails. If I block their emails I won’t get a notification if I do decide to purchase in the future.

Lastly their search feature is horrible! I decided to search the community tab for recommendations on skincare when hiking. Instead of the search finding keywords it searches by letter so none of the info available will match your specific needs. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Deleting my account and finally blocking their emails.

I signed up for Brandefy and was excited because not a lot of skincare apps exist and good-quality ones are hard to come by, especially ones that recommend products or routines.
If you do want to get Brandefy, DON’T SIGN UP!
I wanted to sign up because typically with accounts on these kinds of apps, it becomes more customized and just a better experience overall. However, the sign-up on Brandefy requires you to give your email, first and last name, phone number, MAKES YOU sign up for text alerts (not optional!), and MAKES YOU share Brandefy with three friends/contacts via text or mail (also not optional!). Personally, I quit at that point because my personal information is important to me and I’m not going to give them more than they need to know, and also my friends don’t deserve an ad in the middle of the day.
Just saying: I’m sure Brandefy has some upsides and good qualities, but if the sign-up process is enough to raise some red flags and make ME quit, Brandefy itself is probably worse.

There are 2 main problems I have with Brandefy:
1). Brandefy crashes way more than normal. It crashes maybe every other time I use it, so it would be greatly appreciated if this could be prevented in the future.

2). This is more of an inconvenience than a concern, but when you view a product, it doesn’t show the typical number of images you would see on the website (like swatches of the products, what they look like on diff. skin tones, etc.). You are able to see the picture left in reviews/comparison reviews, but sometimes/ most times there are no pictures of what the product looks like.

All this to say that other than these, Brandefy is pretty convenient.

Great idea-really enjoying Brandefy ! Wish is was visually more understandable. For example, when you click to see the comparison between two products you see one bar that tells you how similar the two products are with colors to match (green being very similar, yellow less comparable, red etc.). However, to know anything else you must read the full description below. If there were standardized things they are looking for (like cruelty free) make more bars, make it more visually appealing so we don’t have to sit and read paragraphs to find the part about the products we care concerned about (creamy-ness of products, quality, longevity, etc.) give them rating out of ten for example: so tarte would have a 8/10 while l’oréal a 6/10 for quality on an eye shadow pallet so we can decide ourselves (randomly picked these brands and products not based on your app).

I absolutely love Brandefy. I started off with very little skincare knowledge and wanted to learn more to surprise my fiancé with different skincare products. My fiancé is very picky about her skincare routine and Brandefy has not steered me wrong. Overall I’m an very impressed by how easy it is to navigate and find what I’m looking for.

I love Brandefy! I like the purpose behind it where people can come together to review products and compare them so others will know before spending their money! I do wish there was an easier way to search for friends and other to follow. However, over all love it!

Awesome app! If you love beauty products, this is a game changer. The reviews are always well-written and thought out. It’s definitely saved money more than once and curbed my impulse buys at Sephora and Ulta. I always check here to see if there’s a legitimate dupe before I drop the cash on a high end product that promises the world to see if it’s worth it.

I am so grateful for this app! Anytime I go to CVS, Target, Sephora, etc I get so overwhelmed by all the options. I naively went with name brand, expensive products because I assumed they would be better. Bradefy’s comparisons have saved me so much money on everything from lotion to sunblock to makeup. this app has made me a more knowledgeable consumer and saved me money!

Brandefy was the best discovery I have ever made. The reviewers do such an awesome job with finding alternative products that are the same or better than the expensive name brands. And I also love that if the expensive brand is better then they tell you it’s worth the money and to splurge. It has been a life saver for me. Thank you this app girls!!

I happily came across Brandefy when trying to figure out whether the beauty products I was looking at online were worth the price. I’ve needed an app like this for years- finally, something that tells me the honest truth as to what is worth the extra $$ and what is pricier just due to marketing. Hoping this catches on like wildfire because it’s a great app to use!

Ever since discovering Brandefy I do NOT shop without checking here first. Who doesn’t hate overspending on cosmetics KNOWING that in today’s cosmetics marketplace there are great dupes out there? But between work, kids, and everything else there isn’t much time for trial and error. You want to save money, you want your beauty fix, and you want it NOW! Enter this app, doing all that work for you! Thumbs up!!

I always use Brandefy when looking for new beauty products. The detailed write ups are so helpful when making a decision. Everything that I have purchased off of recommendations from Brandefy have been amazing! Definitely recommend for anyone wanting to try more budget friendly skincare and beauty products!

Look, I love your app and everything it’s about. I love your boxes too they’re a steal. But explain to me why after I changed my address in my profile you still sent my box to my old address? And then, explain to me why nobody responded to my emails? Come on guys. I want to give you five stars. I had to cancel my box just to avoid this happening again and now I can’t even order it again!!

I’m so glad I stumbled upon Brandefy on Instagram because it’s helped me purchase dupes for my skincare products instead of breaking the bank every time! So useful and I can’t wait to see what other products I can find cheaper versions for with the same or similar ingredients! Each one is listed for how similar the two products are including their ingredients, which I love for skincare products! Why pay more for something you can find for less & it works the same or even better!

Brandefy is so amazing! I don’t have as much of knowledge with make up, and seeing all these people’s personal experience and comparing the two of the make up brands are so so helpful! Everyone gives a fair review and they even include the pricing and they recommend if it’s worthy to purchase them or them. Overall, I am so glad I came across Brandefy because it does help a lot especially when you’re just starting out. The more you know, you can educate others as well and i don’t have to do as much extensive research because Brandefy is really great 👍🏽.

First of all, like many others, I am so delighted to have this app in my arsenal. I came across it on Instagram and have been hooked on the transparent reviews from people that have owned or used both products in comparison. It helps a lot because I tend to purchase products that are visually appealing and tend to disregard harmful ingredients and even the harmful process in which the product was created. But fear not, this app has educated me in more ways than one and allowed me to select products that are cruelty free among many other things. I am someone who carefully reviews every single item I put on my face. I tend to spend a lot of money on products because usually the good stuff is pricey. And well, it’s your face so in my opinion it’s worth it. When I stumbled upon this app and saw their dupes on brands that deliver the same results as well as huge price drops, I almost fell right off my vanity chair! I am now the biggest fan of the brand The Ordinary thanks to this app. While there will always be a few items I’ll never sway from due to my weird sense of loyalty, I am forever grateful for the money I have saved!! I’m seriously pretty clueless when it comes to makeup but I’ve always had a good idea of the top brands since I have so many friends that are way into it and have all the expensive stuff. I’ve only ever used the ones they’ve suggested since I didn’t know any better, but Brandefy has been super helpful for me to find much cheaper drug store options based on the ones that I know my friends like to use. Or it gives you peace of mind that the pricier brand really IS the better option. Either way, great info to have, and much easier on the bank account!

If you use any sort of beauty supplies and you don’t already have Brandefy, you need to download it ASAP and start saving money. Beauty products can be so expensive and there’s usually an alternative that is half the price. Brandefy is a lifesaver when it comes to deciding between which products will save you money but also be worth it to buy. I always look up my products on Brandefy before I buy to make sure it’s worth the money or to see if I can find a cheaper option with the same ingredients. Brandefy has helped me SO much! I absolutely love that I don’t have to waste my time and money on products that aren’t worth the price. Now with this app I can see whether I’m paying for the label or an actually great product. Brandefy keeps improving with daily added reviews and now even review photos!
