I feel all your pain! Took me two hours to finally get results over the Bluetooth.
iPhone 8. In settings, scroll down to where you see duoCo strip app listed. Click on it. This is where the phone allows duoCoStrip to access your Bluetooth. If it is off, turn it on. If it is on, turn it off then back on. That’s the ticket. If it is on, turn it off, then back on. Return to duoCoStrip and look under the Group Manage my device tab, your device ELK-RIpDomANew1 (?) should be listed. If not listed under my device then it’s not connected correctly.
Must be listed to work. Try again. Then click on the light bulb to turn it green and then click on the chain link so it is not broken.
Yes, a chain link must be showing linked.
It’s like a Chinese puzzle!
So, step by step…
Plug in Bluetooth device and lights.
Open settings and turn Bluetooth on by selecting your ELK- whatever. Wait for it to be connected.
Open app. Go to Group Manage page and look under my device. Nothing is listed as you all know.
Open settings, scroll down to duoCo strip and turn on or on off Bluetooth
Return to app and look under my device…
Should be listed
Click bulb green
Click chain link to be linked , not broken.
Tada!

They work perfectly fine it’s just that I can’t connect the lights to my iPhone Ive tried lots off things but they just don’t I connected them to my old phone and it worked but slightly annoying for me too be using the other phone cus it usually dies really fast so when I want to turn them off or on or change the color I have too charge the phone and it’s the same thing every day but other than that the light them self are really cool and I love them

First of all it took forever to find out how to Bluetooth it onto my phone. Second of all it doesn’t change colors like I hoped. I will set it to a light pink on my phone and it will become white or I’ll put it on purple and it will be blue. Sometimes the lights don’t even match the color you selected on the color wheel. And I have 2 blues on my remote and they look identical. Maybe add more colors like a better purple because it kinda looks like pink. Also I don’t understand how to use the music, is it only that small selection? Other than that the lights aren’t bad. Expected better but if you expect disappointment you will never be disappointed.

I really wish I could connect my lights to my Apple Music. I am not happy with only using the music on duoCoStrip . This was not portrayed when I bought it and it’s very un satisfying to play random music instead of my own Apple Music. Also, the color circle dosent work. If I select red on the circle I get yellow, or if I select Green I get a version of pink. However the lights work great, I really like the remote and the easiness of installing the lights. All in all just fix the color circle, and allow us to connect our own music to the lights.

I’m a sucker for the Facebook ads and saw that I could buy this product and have it interact with the colors on the screen. I thought to myself, ‘wow, how does that work?’ Long story short; it doesn’t.
This product merely has you run audio though it’s app and the lights blink
....not what I was looking for.
At the same time, THAT works pretty well, as long as you figure out the right sequence to turn things on.
At the moment, it looks like I just bought my girlfriend a really expensive string of Christmas lights. If duoCoStrip had more capabilities it may be worth actually installing on the TV for when you have music playing, otherwise it’s going in with the Christmas decorations

Color wheel seems backwards. I’ve confirmed the wires are connected to the correct color and modified the pin sequence with no change. Some of the presets don’t display the correct color because of this and when I try and change the color on some of the wheels the wheel goes grey/un-responsive like others have mentioned. Otherwise it does work and I have not yet had the issue that others have had making them have to remove and reinstall duoCoStrip .

I had the same issue as others were having- app wouldn’t connect to Bluetooth and my lights wouldn’t show in the device section. I made sure my Bluetooth was on and then I disconnected the LED mobile Bluetooth controller, unplugged the adapter and everything- then reconnected and my lights turned on! went to duoCoStrip and my lights were finally available in the device section. Best bet with the issue is to unplug everything and replug! If you have several strips connected to each other try connecting the Bluetooth controller to a different strip and test that method as well! Unplugging Worked for me and I hope that helps whoever is having the issue. These lights are awesome- I hope they fix the bugs and duoCoStrip !

duoCoStrip work perfectly on connecting to my lights and doing all the music and LED color. I don’t know why people are complaining about how it doesn’t “connect” to your lights, but for me it worked and I see no problems. But the one thing you could fix is the music. I have Apple Music so I get music for free, and in duoCoStrip you can only play the music that you have bought with money (iTunes card) and not Apple Music. That was disappointing when I first discovered that, because I have a ton of music that could be playing along with the lights but it’s only letting you play music that you have payed for. Just wish there was a way to play all your music and not just the ones you have payed for!

It connects perfectly! I’m really happy I don’t have to climb out of my bed and get a remote. The Bluetooth works good but there are a few problems that I have with these lights. Sometimes when I try to turn the lights off, they glitch and don’t turn off at all. It’s very frustrating. And what’s really annoying is that the lights connect to my tv and it doesn’t have anything to do with it! When I’m trying to watch a show, somehow, my lights flash all because of the buttons on my tv. Overall, duoCoStrip is very helpful and nice but they have to fix these minor problems.

The lights are cool, really cool but the settings are weird. I tried having the brightness not too high but not too low but have it change color at the right speed but nothing changed. Also the brightness is also the speed of the lights which makes no sense. Lights are still cool but please fix. Also what is there was custom music to use. Like the music we have in our library. That would be cool. Nice product!

When I first tried to sign in, my Bluetooth wouldn’t connect and it was hard to figure out. What I did was I unplugged all of the cords, which turned off my Bluetooth, and I mean ALL of them. After you do that, go to duoCoStrip and press the turn off switch (the little green oval at the top right corner) to turn it off. Then, go to group manage on the top left corner and turn your Bluetooth back on. Plug all of the cords back in and your network should show up on the screen. Please tell me if this worked for you!

So first, I think it’s weird because I’m scared it’s still listening to me even though I have the setting off but maybe I’m just being paranoid… also if you have trouble playing music on it and want to play any song; first, turn on the setting on your lights, second, go to duoCoStrip you use to play music, then, play any song you want. That’s how I got it to work at least.

duoCoStrip worked and connected to the lights the moment I plugged it in so I was pretty happy about that. I had similar LED lights that also had an app a few years ago and I liked that it allowed me to save custom settings — particularly I liked fading from red to blue with every hue of purple in between which doesn’t seem possible with duoCoStrip. I don’t think that would be too hard to implement so please consider adding that in an update! Still a great product so far!

All you do it 1)Male sure your Bluetooth on2)Go to the left top corner of duoCoStrip then press the thing in the corner with the three lines and dots 3)After you pressed that then press my devices then one you do that go back to the color wheel then you can control the LED lights with your device. The lights work fine, but I’m having the same troubles as the others. It will not connect to my iOS device, I have a newer phone so I figured it would connect fairly quick but it never did. I then realized out of human error I pressed the wrong button and the Bluetooth wasn’t being shared after I fixed the issue they hooked up just fine.

I have figured out that app would act up depending what type of phone you have! I downloaded it on my Motorola at first and it kinda sucked; downloaded it on my iPhone the first thing and it connected quick, plus it didn’t ask for my location this time compared to the Motorola.
Now I have read some of the reviews and read, want to say it depends on the phone or tablet you’re using! Hope this helps <3

When I first got them I set them up and all was good but when I had first started trying to set them up it was a little confusing and I couldn’t get them to connect but then I unplugged all of the cords and then plugged them all back it and it magically worked and it connects to my iPhone great! All I recommend if you’re having problems is try unplugging all the cords because sometime they won’t turn in if their not plugs in correctly

I honestly don’t know what these other reviews are talking about, my app worked perfectly, but keep in mind I bought the 40 dollar version, I know duoCoStrip is used for more than one type of lights. The color wheel(which is what most of the complaints were about) worked great for me, obviously some of the colors like brown were translated to more of a yellow tone but that is to be expected. Overall duoCoStrip worked great other than the music, it seems to just have a strobe light effect no matter what was playing.

The lights worked great but me being me I lost my controller and still can’t find it 😂 but duoCoStrip was good at first I was like now how the heck I do this
Mind my redneck talk 😂 but you have to plug in the lights and go to Bluetooth and select the ELK- whatever them go to the lights and go to menu and go to selected devices if it dosent then u do it wrong then reload duoCoStrip and it should be there if it didn’t work look it up bc thats all I got so that’s how I fixed it wish me luck on finding the controller

I’m kinda confused y this has a 2.6 Bc THIS IS AMAZING! I love it so much the lights were easy to set up even tho the wires in between were showing it doesn't madder if u play music on Pandora or Apple Music it will change colors to the beat. I also like how u can set a schedule for when u want them to be on and off. At first I was confused Bc we bought to many lights so we had to over lap but it looks as if it’s one big strand it also has a mic so the louder u are the faster the lights go. I’m still playing around with them but so far it’s a great app.

Hi I have had these lights for about 6 months now. I have had so many problems with them however I have been able to figure them out. I have a problem now that I can’t fix, my phone stopped connecting to my lights. I’ve tried resetting my phone, re-downloading duoCoStrip , playing with the strips, clearing data on my phone, etc. and still nothing. I’m very frustrated because the lights are stuck on yellow and a remote did not come with the device. Now I’m kinda stuck ending up throwing them away unless somebody has an answer. Waste of time and money honestly.

Absolutely garbage lights and worse app. The lights worked “ok” for about an hour then as soon as i tried to change the colors with the remote they stopped working. Tried unplugging them and when i plugged them back in they didn’t even turn back on. Tried reinstalling duoCoStrip but it doesn’t even discover the lights. Awful product, don’t waste your money.

I bought a box which came with 2 sets of led lights and a few other things. The instructions were way too small duoCoStrip wouldn’t sync to my Apple Music. The instructions say that the led lights are detachable and I cut it where the instructions say I can cut and I ruined a whole set of led lights. If you want to advertise your product make sure it’s correct and large enough to see. I enjoy the lights but there’s no speakers on these lights and that’s what I asked for

I don’t know what other people are talking about when they say it’s works then doesn’t for me when i got the for 25$ they didn’t work not a single time and i’m don’t know why the not working there plug in and connect just won’t work other people for a lower price gets it to work but not me my friends and family try making the work but nothing i guess i’m trying to say if u buys the lights it’s luck if it’s is work or not so what i’m really trying say is its a scam

I thought everything worked fine except when you wanted to play music you only hade a limited amount of music that duoCoStrip provided you couldn’t you your own music like from Apple Music but besides that it was great!

Just received my lights and everything works great except the fact that you can’t play any music from Apple Music or any other site just the sample music that comes with duoCoStrip . Not to happy about that, the whole reason for me buying the $40 lights and not the cheaper version was so that it would work when I played my music.

So duoCoStrip works okay. My only issue is the fact that it doesn’t let me play any of my music nor Apple Music. Even though it has access for it, none of my songs show up and it only has some sample songs that came with duoCoStrip . Please fix it so we are able to play our music please. Until they fix that issue then I’ll come back and give it a better review.

As far as the lights working there’s not a problem there. The only thing I wish you could do which I’ve seen other light strips have is an option to customize your fade/color jump or choosing separate shades for it to fade manually.

I was honestly stoked when I bought these and they worked great considering they were $16 however, The lights turned off and now I can’t get them to turn back on duoCoStrip won’t even connect to them. If anyone has any tips on how to fix this (if it can be fixed) that would be great.

Works well using built in settings. Connects easily to controller. Can control several controllers at the same time. The mic and sound activation are a bit clunky. Could use level control on mic as it blinks quickly even when there is no sound.

Sometimes it would disconnect from my phone without me doing anything, I’ve had to redownooad duoCoStrip a lot of times. So maybe a better and easier way to connect your phone to the Bluetooth led lights that would be amazing 😊

These are way better than the bulbs I got from five and below. duoCoStrip works amazing although some of the colors are inaccurate to the wheel, but at least they aren’t all preset. duoCoStrip also makes them do cool things. I got my lights for 22 USD.

App works great with the lights. No issue connecting at all. Only complaint, just wish in the music section that I would be able to add my own music in my library, rather than the preset given songs.

I have had these lights for 3 months now and duoCoStrip works amazing once you get the hang of it I don’t really like how you can’t add songs but other than that duoCoStrip works well
