There is very little associated with the military that has such a wide spread, overwhelmingly positive reputation than the Stars & Stripes. It does not matter what branch you served in, what your rank was or when you served; the Stars & Stripes has always been something that we could count on to connect us to home.

The digital version is quality work. It has quickly become my #1 news source. I bought a subscription just to support it. I will keep it because it is amazing.

Amazes me, how this Marxist rag can continue the spin of the cnn, msdnc, cbs, pbs, abc, and nbc. If you’re looking for the truth try the smaller outlets, rsbn, newsmax, OANN, America’s voice, Red Pilled America podcast, Dennis PragerU. The truth is out there, just a little more effort to reach. The SS newspaper used to be respected, I read it for 20 plus years, and recently subscribed. Very disappointed in how Marxist it has become. Tried entering with a five star, maybe the review will post.

There used to be the .99 cents stars and strips app that let you read it all for free. Now they they want to manipulate you in taking your money with this new stars and stripe app. It is a crime of fraud the way they do it. I highly recommend do not be a victim of them taking your money. If I could give negative stars I would. Also used to you could read more of articles un StarsandStripes . Now they make it limited. They need to at least make StarsandStripes free to all new customers that down load this appp since you can no longer read all the articles. But at least you can go to google and retype the article to read it that way for free.

Stars and Stripes news is always interesting and to the point. They let the Military community know everything that is going on around the world. Keeping us abreast of threats and potential violence that can engulf our Nation at any time or place. Our Military is strong and with Stars and Stripes it shall remain strong and ready for any event anywhere in the world.

I’m a digital subscriber who used to be overseas (Europe) and subscribed to Stars and Stripes. Upon returning to US in 2007, I’ve continued my subscription because I want to keep up on news covering overseas bases. I enjoy the paper and it’s coverage. I think this is the best way to stay in touch with our military and what’s going on where they serve.

The knowledge veteran soldiers need to confronting today’s threats from legislative actions and presidents from Lessing the responsibility that we were promised ! We were stationed in Japan throughout the 1970s. The stars and stripes were a major source of news and information while we were stationed there and continues to be a major source of news and information for me to this day.

I haven’t read the S & S since I was in Germany in the 1980’s. Very pleased to have access again and see what’s happening in the world from a different perspective. Keep up the great work and thank you for being there for us!

It keeps me up to date on what is happening across the total military. I’ve been a fan since back when it was the only news when I was in Vietnam in 69-70.

As it has been for many years, the Stars & Stripes is a very good source for balanced news, as well as military related issues. It also has a section on high school sports at overseas schools. The iPhone app is easy to use.

Stars & Stripes is driven by political bias instead of objective journalism. They use sources like API and Washington Post and it appears, from my perspective, they are underhandedly are using their military reach to drive a wedge between the military and our President. It has been going on for decades and underscores why my tax dollars should not be used to fund them. Apolitical reporting and objective journalism are dead, including Stars & Stripes. Linking an increased threat from nuclear weapons politically with the President is absurd!

I love Stripes because it not only keeps me informed about military news, but also provides straightforward reporting on world and US events. No packing in a message or angle. Just facts.

From the limited access offered for free, I enjoy the content. Would enjoy StarsandStripes more with additional access or a lower subscription price.

This paper should not be republishing opinions such as the Washington Post article. You disrespect the military when back an article saying the current Commander in Chief should be “dragged out of the White House. Your paper survives to support the military structure not undermine. You need to be more mindful of Constitutional procedure when writing about the president elect. Be mindful of the current CinC in the military structure.

I have been reading S&S since I was a young Marine in the late 80’s. Always a great resource for truth in Military News coverage.

In these days of “yellow journalism”, I can always depend on Stars and Stripes for accurate, fact-based, reporting. Thank you for holding up the highest standards of the US military.

Since I discovered Stars and Stripes in 1965, they provide current events to the troops. Their editorial slant has always been pro-my-boss yet balanced enough to produce meaningful
dialogue. I love it because I feel a connection to the troops on the ground in harm's way every hour of every day.

We must remember every day what we demand every day.

During 33 years of service I cannot count the number of times my morale was lifted by a copy of S&S. So much so the S&S is the only paper I subscribe to living now OCONUS. They have the articles I enjoy reading keeping me up to date on issues I follow and the services I love. We Americans are in good hands when it comes to getting the truth as long as S&S is still printing.

Thank YOU Stars and Stripes for your continued service to our country. You definitely stand the watch.

You made a mistake in taking out the comments section of articles. Allow free tasteful discussion.

From an app perspective, it's solid in terms of organization and UI. From a price standpoint, it's 1 star ridiculous. Without an overpriced subscription, one can only read the front page stories. For all the other sections, one just has to search Google for any given story and almost certainly find it for free from multiple other news source. To have to pay $40 a year for very little original content is insulting. As it's partially partially subsidized by the US gov (taxpayers), I would think $12 a year maximum (with no ads) and free with ads would be fair. Otherwise it's a 1 star rip-off.

I am thankful to receive information about our military... all Americans should be interested, since our military keeps us safe... I thank all those who volunteer.. you r HERO’s🇺🇸🇺🇸

The Stars and Stripes has been an excellent paper which I have relied on since I first read it in 1971. It provides a critical viewpoint relevant to the uniformed services not found in other newspapers.

I have 2 active & 2 now out of the service kids. As well as being a military historian by hobby. Thanks for all you do in the field & abroad . Great Job !!

Their news is well-researched, and always well written. There’s no political positioning here. They tell things as they are. It’s a refreshing journalistic breath of fresh air!

I seek news reporting the number of news sites that report facts sans opinions are few and far between. I go to Stars & Stripes for facts, and how this impacts our military.

The Stars and Stripes is without question the best source of military news by service members for service members. I started reading the Stars and Stripes on my first overseas tour and now it’s my favorite newspaper.

Only wish we could see more, like the old days. Maybe more detailed reporting on some specific topics, like medical. Overall, excellent reporting. Thank you for all you do!

Always looked forward to getting my hands on your newspaper when ever I was deployed! I enjoy it now on my I-Phone and tablet.
