So this app started off as my favorite banking app. Unfortunately, every single week their app goes down and I can’t access my account or my money. I tried their troubleshooting tips weekly but it always ends up with me having to email them and them taking 2-3 days to reply to my request with a generic “I’m sorry this happened. We’ll figure it out.” And they never respond again. It’s frustrating to not have access to your money, and it’s also illegal as well and theft for them to not let you into your account. It’s getting extremely old. They either need better tech support or an overhaul of Douugh because it should not go down every few days. And the sad part? They don’t even care. I genuinely think it’s on purpose. The fact that you can’t call either is gross.

I originally used Douugh as a piggy bank of sorts. I put money in not really expecting to touch it until I went on vacation. Now it’s time for vacation and it I keep getting a connection error issue. I’m unable to link my bank account and when I try to link PayPal Douugh shuts down. I’ve already installed and uninstalled Douugh and made sure I had the latest version, but have had no luck. When I request to close Douugh I’m met with the spinning circle of doom. You can only contact the company via email from what I see. Online it says you have a 3 day wait time for a response though. Looks like I won’t have that money in time for vacation. Shame on you!

There’s so much promise here, but so much to go...

First off during the setup processes, the security is surprisingly lax, a 6 character password minimum with a letter and number so ‘abcde1’ would be okay? That’s terrifying. Second is that it turns off access to the password functionality built into the OS, so I can’t generate a password or use a third party app like 1Password.

Next there’s the “app only” approach, this is the one thing that gives me the the biggest cause for alarm. I can’t access things via a website? There’s no iPad app? I can’t open a webpage and verify my balances when I don’t have access to my cell phone?

I want a lot of what’s being offered here, but it seems like there’s a lot to fix on basic levels before this can become a basic level service.

I loved the idea of it & even better than a normal bank EXCEPT Chime still works better. I can transfer money easily within seconds to another account through chime but this app takes 3 business days just to transfer money from my bank to it 🤷🏻‍♀️ I liked it had multiple piggy banks though & would have used it if it weren’t so slow at transferring money from my original bank - if DOUGGH had a pay friends/ request money options as well as mobile check uploading I’d switch over and use for main bank account as well as if it didn’t take so long to do transfers between banks/people

Jars have been fixed! Now my hang ups are that we can’t deposit paper check and that you can’t find the account with PNC bank.

(Old) This seemed to be a great alternative to Simple note that they are closing their doors.... but the main reason I chose this was for the Jars which are currently not working and I’m getting little to no feedback from the support email address!

I love that I switched over to them after simple went out. My only hope is that they would make it so Douugh updates constantly A lot of times I get notifications for transactions but then they are not reflected on Douugh yet

Okay that title is really dramatic but the combination of the salary sweeper plus the bills jar with its own virtual debit card has made me finally feel comfortable putting my bills on autopay! So yeah, legitimately life-changing. I just wish the salary sweeper could take either the percentage you set or just a given hard amount, and that there was a dark mode, but it’s ok. I have time now.

I had a friend suggest the this app app who was absolutely raving about it. I have it a try and I was very pleasantly surprised. I loved the interface and the ability to see where all my money was at one time. I also enjoyed the different piggy banks that I could save at once.
My only complaint is that I didn’t find it sooner!

I am a client of this Financial institution for well over a year now. I typically do not take the time to engage in reviewing apps or services online. However due to the very pleasant experience that was just as much effective as it was efficient in response time I felt compelled to act as a independent sincere supporter of this company and urge you to give their platform a try. The debit cards come in a very reasonable amount of time , and if you should lose or misplace one they will get you a replacement issued and mailed promptly.
The thing that struck me as a quality above and beyond the competition is the ease of connecting with a live representative whether through calling the 1-800 number or through quick and personal responses To concerns via email. Kevin is a very hard worker whom appears to be very diligent in promoting the brand thought exceptional relentless service to thr company fielding a myriad of questions with efficient and quantifiable results

I feel very strong about using this app as one of my primary banking institutions. I recommend highly giving them a shot to earn Your business

I love the jar features! The ability to separate money in “jars” helps with more strategic saving goals. Having a jar specifically meant to track monthly bills and subscriptions is incredibly helpful! I also love the fact that the bills jar has its own account number and credit card for easier separation.

There are some things that I miss coming from Simple (bank). But this app can practically function the same as Simple; they even have a few things Simple didn’t. It’s rough around the edge at times — the company is young, though. So I’m hoping they continue updating and refining Douugh . Great freshman year so far though.

I have left several reviews but Douugh is great!!! Douugh has some of everything, it has stash jars ( you can have several), portfolio’s ( you can choose your amounts and how much risk your willing to take), and a separate bill account. Today they just started the round up so that people can save more. It’s great!!!

All I can say is wow this is an awesome concept and applying for an account was easy as pie I love the bills jar and spending targets it is just like simple bank but upgraded I just they add a way to edit your address and offer a mail a check feature in the near future but other than that everything is perfect I can’t wait to start using my new debit card

When Simple closed its virtual doors… I was in a frenzy. I loved all their amazing features. this app seems to be the closest thing I found to be like Simple - improved. It is not recognized on Plaid to then be able to attach to my Venmo yet… but other than that it’s pretty user friendly! I’m still learning all the amazing features and thankful to have something as close to Simple as possible.

this app has helped me so much with budgeting and saving for my goals. The Bills Jar has made it so clear on what leftover money I have available to spend for the month. I heard they will be launching investing in the near future and I can’t wait to dive into that! For such a young company, they seem to have a great grasp on what it takes to help people manage their money. Looking forward to up and coming features and enhancements!

Can anyone send me an email of improvements and or features coming in the near future. Really love Douugh and it’s basic functions, knowing each paycheck I get will be split to my bills jar. I’m thinking of using this as my main Debit CASH account and dropping all my banks besides for Credit Card lines. I just really want to know what features are upcoming so I know if I should invest myself into the company 100%.

I moved from simple to this app, recently. This has much of the same functionality that I enjoyed with simple; however, this app attempts to automate the process of filling jars (goals in simple) and while not void of bugs I think has the potential to help me better manage my money.

Additionally, I like the UI and think the weekly snapshots are helpful. Also, the separate Bills card is a great addition. So far so good. If you liked simple I think this might be worth a try.

I really love the sleek and simple interface of this app. They offer many great features to help me better manage my money. Specifically their Bills Jar and new Salary Sweeper! Setting up Spending targets really gave me a wake up call on where my money was going every month and this enabled me to make the necessary adjustments to save more. this app is new but they seem to have their stuff together and you can tell they really care about their customers. Customer service is super prompt and knowledgeable and it’s nice to talk to a human rather than a chat bot. Looking forward to what the future brings with this app!

I switched to this app for the organization features. In particular, I was a fan of the separate bill-pay account and the divided savings “jars.” As a new service, I have to admit, they are still working out a few kinks. However, I’ve had the pleasure of being assisted by their customer service team who has made me feel truly listened to, and I think a little patience has gone a long way. I can always appreciate a business that is constantly looking for new ways to improve and solve problems, and this app is very clearly one of them!

I’ve used many online bank accounts, and haven’t seen a better interface to pay bills with than with this app. You can set up salary sweeper, a way for Douugh to automatically comb your paycheck once it’s deposited into a separate free account specifically for bills only so you don’t have to worry oh no which bills are coming out over next few days. Just put the amount you need from that paycheck and watch the bills come out. While your spending acct you’ll have free spend knowing your bills are accounted for. Great app, I hope they can get as big as chime, specifically the bills jar and salary sweeper are amazing. Keep up the great work!

Can’t find my address and then freezes when I try to manually enter.

Douugh is riddled with bugs. My available balance took tech support manually updating to reflect the correct amount in my account. I also had charges incorrectly labeled. Unfortunately customer services takes days to reply even when it's a fraud claims.

Don't risk your money!

Fill in all info to register and then the last step gave me a message saying cannot finalise account with no additional information. Your dev team is either too lazy to put proper message or it just doesn’t work at all. Btw, the ui at the start which shows the spinning circle looks really bad quality. Wouldn’t recommend.

I gave it all my info and the thing did not finalize my account not even telling me why.

This would complete Douugh . I have been a long term simple bank user and Douugh appeared to the next best thing with even an edge on some features , then I realized you can have a joint account. Goals and bills that we both contributed to would have to be fragmented so I can’t use this as a dominant account.

After I gave Douugh all of my information it said that my account couldn’t be finalized. I can’t figure out why because it doesn’t say or figure out any options to fix what’s messed up. I was really looking forward to using Douugh so I am a little frustrated.

Tried to find my account using external accounts and kept getting error messages. Contacted support and they weren’t very helpful. Closed the account.

It’s asking for my social. Should I be sceptical?

Amazing app! Has really help me get organized with my money, allowing me to spend within my limits, set savings goals and track my bills. I also really like how they help me prioritize saving up for a rainy day. Really looking forward to when they introduce investing.

Love Douugh and the ability to create jars!! Looking forward to all the new features coming.

I needed a bank that offered everything... early pay, budgeting, better ways to save, Apple Pay.... they have all that and more. Once they are compatible with plaid, I think I’ll close all my other accounts because I won’t need them. Thank you this app for being the bank of my dreams😍😍😍😍
