VG Rewards Reviews

I agree with the other one-star reviews in that the new updated app is quite horrible, as well as the revamped rewards system. I had about 10, 9-dollar off coupons that were promptly stripped away from my account and now we are forced (or punished) to use this horrid new rewards system that offers little to no fluidity in using your points. You are FORCED to use your points on food items that you may, or may not, regularly purchase and takes away from the autonomy that the old rewards app provided. Please do better and listen to the gripes that many of us have!

I’m grateful for the occasional rewards but VGRewards is poorly designed and perhaps engineered to upsell at each step.

“Choose a side” options defaults to having to choose a side order and the first tier of choices has some that look free but in reality they’re hiding two tiers of prices.

I couldn’t place an order without giving my credit card info, so my brother who wanted to treat me to lunch by picking it up after I ordered it can’t happen. I don’t mind if this was a protective measure to prevent cancellations but it should have had a popup confirmation warning that explained their policy.

They don’t have “wrap” as an option on menu items that could easily be made a wrap in-store.

Using reward points to get “free cookies” requires canceling back and ordering cookies and then applying the points again, when they simply could have added cookies to the order there.

Many illogical steps and interface choices and inconsistent swipe directions but perhaps this will be fixed in time.

I went to the veggie grill location and humiliated myself by insisting the order had gone through but due to a glitch it didn’t go through and when I checked the screen it wasn’t in my order history and there was no indication the order had been placed. It stressed me out, I was rude to the cashier and now I’m sitting in my car (bc it was humiliating) and I’m hungry. I know I placed the order bc they told me to go to my veggie grill location and that online orders can’t be cancelled. Omg fail! I can never show my face at this location thanks to VGRewards .

As a regular customer of veggie grill, I’m very disappointed in this recent update. You can no longer store your credit card in the account. You must enter your credit info for every transaction. Talk about inefficiency. Also, accrued points are only added once you scan the physical barcode of your order (rather than instantly tallying the points). In order to redeem any earned credits, I had to go into the store (within hours). You’d think veggie grill would encourage more app use (rather than the long lines with one cashier at the farmers market location). I will be taking my business elsewhere.

VGRewards and the website are not ready for prime time! VGRewards will not allow me to order the holiday dinner. It insists I choose a pick up time even though there is only one pick up time. When I try to choose 12/24, the only pick up time, it rolls the date back a week and won’t let me change it and also states that date is too early! I.e.: stuck!

The website wasn’t much better. It seems you have to choose a browser that works with it. Has difficulty getting beyond the credit card entry. Do I really want to enter my credit card in an app or site that has so many bugs....?! Info will probably get stolen. You lost my business. Poor coding skills here!

The idea of electronic gift cards is a good one but HORRIBLY executed. VGRewards allows you to order food via it and pushes for you to add physical gift cards to it, but:
A) doesn’t allow you to use gift cards that are bought via VGRewards or added to VGRewards to pay for orders made vi VGRewards 🤯
B) the electronic gift cards in VGRewards don’t AUTOMATICALLY update when used so always show the balance from BEFORE the LAST time you used it - making it seem like you have more $ in there than you do. They need to make it auto-update 😳😤

I’m a software designer and know this is easily done.

Just reset my password. Then realized I had an old version. Then found the new app under a different name in VGRewards Store. It didn’t accept my new password. Hit the reset again, and it’s been awhile and still haven’t gotten the recovery email. After just paying for food and not being able to use the credit that the old app showed I had, or being able to scan the new receipt for future credit, I’m disappointed by the overall experience. We like your food. Hope the tech catches up.

To be fair, I haven’t ordered thru VGRewards yet, only used it to access my QR when ordering at the register.

Two things jump out at me in the instanced I’ve gone to order from it. 1) I’d love to see larger pictures. It’s hard to see well with the tiny thumbnails and would probably get me to try more dishes. 2) I wish there was a favorites list I could save. Not only for my regular go to’s, but also for things I may want to try next time I order.

VGRewards works fine but ordering has some issues. The menu layout is weird and hard to scan easily. I constantly miss the item I want to order and I never remember which category it’s in. Second, you can’t redeem offers through online pick up orders, which I think it ridiculous. Delivery I can’t understand. But why do I have to wait in line just to redeem a reward? Seems like an easy fix. Last, you can’t request extra sauce. The location I go to fills up the sauce cups half way, and it isn’t nearly the amount you’d get if you got the order to stay. It’s an annoying oversight that this isn’t an option. Overall, a few fixes would make it comparable to other food ordering apps, but right now it’s really behind the times.

Well this new version at least allows for merging of old accounts, which is a step up from the last new version. But the rewards have a ticking countdown clock on them and of course after I redeemed mine VGRewards wouldn’t apply it to my order and forced me to pay by credit card. The restaurant manager was very nice and refunded my order and let me re-place it but what a headache for him and me both. No confidence the rewards will work next time either so what’s the point?

I got VGRewards for my daughter so she could order stuff when I am not around
1) it takes a while for VGRewards to update your last order so you have no idea what amount is really on the gift card
2) Orders made by VGRewards does not use the gift card so you cannot do takeout orders or delivery orders unless you use a credit card
3) It used to work well in store but the last time she tried to use it, it would not acknowledge the $75 gift card that was on VGRewards so she paid cash but then the points did not register
Love your place but please fix VGRewards !

VGRewards always have issues... they try to update it but there are a few problems that persist. I have never been able to redeem a reward through VGRewards . It just wont accept it. It says there is a glitch. so you have to go back and then find the order button to go where you can remove it, or else it wont order. then when you apply your card, it directly processes the order, instead of letting you review. I guess you have to review before. 3 stars because VGRewards is better than a couple of years ago when it was confusing and glitchy. But its still not seemless.

I like the new app, everything migrated correctly, no issues with signing in, battery, or new earned points.
It does however say I have a message when I dont.
The reason for the 4 stars- you can no longer pay when you scan. That was so convenient. Also while I like the new nutritional tab I dont like that it takes you backwards if you multitask apps. I end up having to screenshot the item then enter the info into a nutrition app.

The new veggie grill app is awesome! At first I was a bit skeptical if I would like it because of the negative reviews but I think the other reviewers are a little too impatient. When I first got VGRewards my credit didn't transfer so I reached out to customer service. I spoke with Anthony who is awesome and assisted with migrating all my credits. He's very polite and was willing to help me solve every issue. VGRewards is easy to navigate through and has a nice new look. Keep up the good work VG. #VeggiePositive

I’m a veggie grill cashier, and VGRewards works pretty well! There was a recent update that was a little funky, though...VGRewards now opens to the ordering page, which confuses a lot of guests (they have trouble finding the page to earn their points), and I sometimes have a difficult time helping them due to how they’re holding the phone, hearing difficulties, etc. This confusion can cause anxiety and frustration for the guests, particularly during busy hours. Having VGRewards open to the rewards page makes for a more streamlined and pleasant in-store ordering process for the guests, so if there is to be another update, I would recommend having it open to the rewards page. :)

I absolutely love veggie grill! Just amazing, good food! VGRewards is super easy to use I love it! BUT,

...BUT I would love for them to make a small change!! If they can allow the customer (myself) to add notes to my order. I like extra lettuce & tomato on my burger. I wish I could add this then I would have delivered to my house. But nope, I have to go pick it up myself. Other than this I think everything is great.

VGRewards prior to the recent major update was relatively easy to use. This new update seem much nicer, especially for the images of all of the food immediately there to look at while looking at their menu.

I LOVE Veggie Grill and how easy VGRewards makes it to place orders and find locations near you. I live in SoCal so there are many veggie grill locations around me, and whenever I open VGRewards I can find the closest one to order from ahead of time.

The nutritional calculator also makes it easy to see the nutrition facts of each order, which I know some people might not enjoy or care about, but I appreciate being able to compare the nutritional breakdown of my options.

Also, $5 when you invite a friend to use VGRewards is a win in my book! :)

I have mainly gone to the Downtown Portland location, especially if I am downtown for other events, but most recently checked out the Beaverton location after some friends' baby shower. I love that there always seems to be new things on the menu to try, but also some of my favorite go tos like sweet potato fries or the buffalo chikn wrap. and since i have VGRewards i get "coins" with every purchase and was able to get $5 off my order by redeeming some of those collected coins. Overall, I'm a fan!

There is no way to log into VGRewards on any device other than the one you originally logged into there is no retreat password function. No is this a new phone but nothing you’re just stuck locked out of VGRewards forever because you decided to get a new phone. Unless you change your phone number which is absolutely absurd VGRewards developers really overlook the very basic idea people are going to want to download VGRewards on more than one device.
