Worst Kind of Link App

This is not a secure, single sign on application as it is advertised to be. This is a menu of hyperlinks to webpages that launch in a browser. Even for applications that have an actual app, like VA Video Connect, VAVeteranLaunchpad opens the browser even if you have the VA Video Connect app installed on your phone. The most heavily used bit of VAs online tools, Secure Messaging, is still only available as a webpage via a browser which is impossible to read/use on a phone. I want a secure messaging app with notifications on my phone! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH VAVeteranLaunchpad!

Not that great

I was ex something a bit more direct rather than using my browser all the time and logging into the VA health portal.
VAVeteranLaunchpad is just an extra step.
If you want to contact your health care team it will send you to the VA portal on the web browser. Want to refill an rx, send a secure message? Same thing.
Skip this step if you like and use your browser.

Big Brother

So you want me to give you access to all of my phones health data and then make it convoluted to access the health record in the VA system? This sounds lackluster at best.

I then sorted the reviews, the top reviews are likely fake and are from the user fffggggkkkiii or some bs like that. The other reviews are creative names. I’m gonna go out on a limb and just say the top reviews are “fake news.”

Something tells me I won’t be wasting my time and deleting VAVeteranLaunchpad

Check your addition, VA. Your numbers seem padded

All that I see of the reviews is one writer who says he/she expected more than just another step to communicate (3 stars) — still have to use a web browser (paraphrased). The rest of the accessible reviews basically all say, don’t use VAVeteranLaunchpad!!!
So. What did I do? I did the math. The Veterans all say: 3, 1, 1, 1,1 ...., which is much less than 3 stars, let alone 2+
I simply uninstalled VAVeteranLaunchpad and didn’t even open it.

Not really an app

Terrible. This isn’t an app. It’s a collection of links to various VA sites, many of them not yet working . It’s a perfect example of a bureaucrat saying “We need an app now to show that we’re modern,” with no idea of what an app actually is and without the expertise or budget to execute it. As in real life, whenever you try to retrieve anything from the VA, you’re just redirected until you reach the inevitable dead end. Don’t waste your time.

By

Just a fancy bookmark app

Your browser has a built in feature that allows you to bookmark pages. VAVeteranLaunchpad is pointless....It’s not even really an app. You would think with how much money the VA receives, they could design an actual app. Then again, VAVeteranLaunchpad is kinda like the VA... you go to get an answer and someone redirects you to someone else. This “app” simply redirects you to a website and you have to continually login/authenticate.

Clunky, only tells you what other apps to download

This is a table of contents app to download all the other available va apps. Really unessecar and waste of time.

It’s also confusing which app to choose while in VAVeteranLaunchpad Store, not realizing, for example, that if you want a scheduling app, you will end up downloading two apps.

Wow!!! Unbelievably Bad!!

Having an app that directs you to a link to log in is a terrible idea. It’s no wonder why the reviews are bad at this point. This is the kind of app I would have expected to see when the smart phone was invented. Please update to a more directly accessible app.

Useless waste of time

Piece of useless crap. Nothing but links to the website and in some cases 404 not found pages. Not to mention that it’s bloated with crap I will never use. I was hoping for a secure app to refill my prescriptions, check on appointments and use secure messaging. Absolute waste of time, phone storage and memory.

By

One Star is too generous

Was hoping to refill prescriptions. VAVeteranLaunchpad does very little of its description. After spending 30 minutes here the only thing I am left with is: How can I delete VAVeteranLaunchpad and insure it has protected my healthEvet logon data. If the sites security is as good as VAVeteranLaunchpad itself I’m very afraid.

Needs improvement

This a great app feature for us veterans but needs major overhaul. Hopefully the developers will address these issues that myself and others have stated.

Not ready for prime time, yet

I have been learning about VAVeteranLaunchpad on my iPhone but it is hard to read,so I launched it here on my iPad. I want to look up my prescription status. The prescription app is not available. This is the case for most of the apps.

The good news

The layout is nice everything is easy to see and read however VAVeteranLaunchpad is just a shell today, ie a work in progress.

I will check back in with VAVeteranLaunchpad this winter and see how progress is going.

By

Terrible

You can open VAVeteranLaunchpad and there is no simple portal to VA instant messages to primary care.

By

Waste of time

Not of any real value. The main thing I want is secure messaging and it doesn’t show up.
Just use your web browser. Sure would be nice if the gov’t actually asked the users what they would like in VAVeteranLaunchpad.

By

Frustrating

I can’t even download the PTSD AP . I have the new iPhone, states not compatible! Before you guys launch this package of “ so called help” fix, beta before release. We aren’t test dummies

By

Worthless

Not developed with the user in mind. White font on a almost white background? Not secure. Clumsy to navigate.
If this is ‘the’ VA app, please put more thought and effort into giving a better product.

By

Disgusted

As a veteran and a web developer, I’m disgusted in this. Why is it so hard to use our benefits? Login to the site takes like 3 steps, is faulty, links don't work, it's total garbage. This is exactly why the VA has such a bad rap, amongst a laundry list of other things.

By

Unusable

This is about par for the course. I wonder how much money the contractor made off VAVeteranLaunchpad. Probably the worst health system’s app ever. Text is illegible, white font on white background. Hyperlinks. Not helpful. Actually terrible.

By

Pointless

An app with just links to other apps. Wish I could request services with my team as I can’t get a hold of them and have to go in person to get anything done.

By

Huh?

What is the point of this? Its just a bunch of links back to the myhealthevet website. You cant actually do anything with VAVeteranLaunchpad. Waste of time.

By

Response

The wed site is very slow and the response to your requests are really delayed it used to work good

Waste of time

For me, there’s nothing different from going to the myhealthevet website, because everything is redirected there. Sad, uninstalling.
