Meh for the price

I like that ContractionCounterandTimer has both a contraction tracker & kick counter. However, it’s annoying not being able to delete or edit accidental clicks, or adjust the timer when I get distracted and forget to stop the timer. For $5 I wish I had the ability to do that. I also noticed that the kick counter stops counting up the time if you switch to a different app temporarily. I’ve had to respond to a text in the middle of counting and when I returned it kept the clock right where I was at before. I also wish ContractionCounterandTimer allowed you to count kicks and time contractions at the same time. You have to stop your kick session to go to the contraction tab. If those things were changed, I’d totally recommend ContractionCounterandTimer to a friend... but for now I would not.

Best contraction timer app!

First I use it as a kicks counter 👣 . It was very touching to see how kicks became frequent day by day approaching the day X. 🥰🥰🥰
When the day X came I understood that I made the right choice of app to time my contractions. It captured everything needed - duration and intensity. I liked being able to see the contraction history and averages and share this with my doula and midwife to communicate progress before going to the hospital. ContractionCounterandTimer even showed when I should go to the hospital 🏥! Best contractions timer app!❤️❤️❤️

Really?

Paid $4.99 for the session to not run in the background. Disappointed. Gave it 3 stars because it has the kick counts and contraction feature in one app. But having a 10 minute session only record as 2 minutes because ContractionCounterandTimer doesn’t run in the background is disappointing, especially if you have to multitask and you paid to use the feature. It also doesn’t allow me to edit the session to correct it so now my information recorded on ContractionCounterandTimer is untrue.

Told my wife it was time

I had no clue what contractions felt like so I kinda guessed and downloaded ContractionCounterandTimer and my wife started timing them, ContractionCounterandTimer told she to go in to the DR and 8 hours later my baby was born! Very accurate and helped my wife decide when should go in or not.

Not worth the $5

ContractionCounterandTimer is not worth the $5 you have to pay to actually make it usable. ContractionCounterandTimer does not track time in the background so if you have to navigate out of the screen for any reason (for instance, responding to a text when you’re doing kick counting), the time will pause until you’re back in ContractionCounterandTimer , which makes it pretty ineffective. This doesn’t give any advantage over a free app in my opinion.

Timer doesn’t continue

Just entered my 3rd trimester, so I wanted to get a kick counter app to track movements. This had great reviews and a contacts on timer for when that time comes.

Cost $5 as soon as you get into it, figured why not, paid it, REALLY WISH I DIDNT.

Whenever my phone locks the timer stops, whenever I go to use another app, the timer stops. Doctors say 10 kicks over the course of an hour, yeah they usually come quicker, but what, I’m not supposed to use my phone for an hour? Or I’m not supposed to let my phone screen lock for an hour? That’s insane.

When I track in the morning the moments are a lot smaller, so I got my 10 kicks over the course of 8 minutes, but this timer says “2:22”. TERRIBLE

Great app

Would like to be able to navigate away from ContractionCounterandTimer and maintain a kick count session. Would also like to be able to edit previous sessions.

Kick Counter times out

As others noted, the kick counter pauses when your phone goes to sleep, or you navigate out of ContractionCounterandTimer . It picks back up when you reopen. Disappointed to have paid for ContractionCounterandTimer when it doesn’t properly count the kicks. I tried to send feedback but nothing pops up when I click feedback.

Definitely 5 stars

I really like ContractionCounterandTimer. It was recommended by my doula and I find it easy to use.

Really

Why in the world would I spend money on an app to count baby kicks, I already have to spend a fortune for these babies and yet companies still feel the need to charge for a tiny little app. Ridiculous.

App stops timer as soon as screen turns off or if you open another app

Bad app, not worth money

The kick counter does not keep counting if you close ContractionCounterandTimer . So it’s deemed useless for timing if you need to do anything else productive on your phone while tracking kicks.

Not actually free

You can download it for free but have to pay to use it
