Scout To Hunt: Shed Hunt Maps Reviews

I had no idea about this company until I visited the hunting expo in feb 2019, after speaking with the scout to hunt team these people really enjoy the company and the product they create. All that being said here comes the novel of a review. The desktop version is way better than ScoutToHunt , ScoutToHunt is nice as it is in the early stages, but there are a few bugs to work out. I’ve only played with ScoutToHunt for a few minutes but I already ran into a snag, some of the labeling on your trail cam photos is wrong, I want to see bull elk not a cow moose and vice versa. The zones don’t have terrain view or 360 view of the area. You have every single picture of the same animal which is nice as more info is better, but it seems your wasting space keeping 20 slightly different photos of the same animal in the same position seconds apart. I would like to see these things changed. I’ll let you know if I find anything else as well.

If you don’t have the scout to hunt app, you are missing out on so much! Some of those things are: shed horns, bulls, bucks, and new territory. I have been using the scout to hunt app for a little over a year now and I love it. It has helped me find new stomping grounds, many shed horns, and trails into areas I thought were not accessible. ScoutToHunt is easy to use and is a outdoorsmans best friend! My current favorite part is the new shed panel! I spend lots and lots of days out in the field and have used ScoutToHunt in just about every way imaginable! I would recommend the scout to hunt app to anyone who wants to get the most out of their outdoors experiences!

Let me tell you why I love ScoutToHunt and believe it is a must for any curious big game hunter. I don’t have the time or resources to place my own cameras and now for the cost of one camera I can check photos from the units I am interested in. These trail cams provide valuable info to plan and prepare for hunts, such as; quality of game, buck to doe, nocturnal activity and habitat insight, as well as other wild game info on bear, cougar & turkey. I love that it provides year-round scouting access with a clearer representation of the wildlife & game I can expect. I think users will be amazed at the trail cam photos and this app will quickly become a go to resource for the next hunt.

Since shed hunting is coming to a end, figured I'd give you a rundown on my experience with ScoutToHunt ! I loved it. It helped me find some new spots where I had some of my best days I've ever had. A lot of it was thanks to the elevation bands. That was the one feature I used the most besides the waypoints. It took me a lot of miles to figure out where the elk had wintered and dropped but once I did, it was game on. I used the elevation band and narrowed it down to a certain elevation. I would use that elevation and I would find elk sheds on almost every hike. Thanks for making a great app that has helped me a ton!!

Scout to Hunt is an awesome tool for e-scouting!! For not even the price of a trail camera, all year long I am able to keep tabs on the quality of game in units that I want to hunt. Whether it's comparing potential units in my own state or investigating other states for future hunts, Scout to Hunt is way ahead of its time. Make ScoutToHunt an essential tool for your hunting adventures every year and know exactly what kind of game you should expect to see when you arrive to your next hunting camp!

I love ScoutToHunt but the only flaw is that it’ll randomly stop showing me names of lakes, cities, mountains and rivers. When that’s fixed this will be a 5 star app

This is such an amazing app! I love the idea of having visual data of areas that I want to put in for in Utah. Also I’ve always been hesitant about putting in for other states and not knowing where to put in for. Now I have the tool right on my phone and computer to scout for me. So excited for the new updates to come. Thanks guys

I have a subscription to onX hunt and wanted to try out ScoutToHunt. For the first couple weeks it was great, even though I am not shedicated. But since they added a subscription and started the bitcoin hunt my app has been incredibly slow and unreliable it can take a couple minutes just to set and edit a marker. I hope something changes.

Seems as if ScoutToHunt MENU is poorly designed for IOS. Resetting a password is practically impossible. The “get the clues” takes up and covers most menu options and space. App glitches when trying to update personal info and shuts down.

I’m blown away how ScoutToHunt is organized. Fast free and simple. I’m so excited to test it out in the field this season. The imagery is great for finding feeding areas. I love the simple tools for marking locations and what they are with the different tags. ScoutToHunt is a game changer.

ScoutToHunt is very useful for hunters when deciding what areas to apply for, where to scout, where to hunt, where to shed hunt, and more. Scout To Hunt really makes it easier to find the animals we pursue!

Provides excellent field data for hunters who either can’t get the time, or who want an extra tool in their arsenal. Great camera placement, and was very helpful to me this last season!

I love the map but reaaally disappointed that it doesn’t cover South Dakota Nebraska or North Dakota..

I’ve used ScoutToHunt for a little while now and it’s awesome! I won’t head into the woods without it now!

Great app to do your pre scouting before you apply for a hunt, before your hunt, shed hunting, or even predator hunting. Get to know the wildlife in a general area before you go there!

Very vital information in the palm of your hand! A must have for every hunter if they are serious about doing research and upping the odds for a successful hunt!

ScoutToHunt is for the lazy hunter ruining it for every body else just so the owner can make a dollar! This is the reason trail cameras will be banned in every state in the next couple of years. I don’t mess with another mans property but if I find a scout to hunt camera I’ll bash it with a hammer
