This App works extremely well!

JabraSound works extremely well, and is much more feature heavy than you could imagine or possibly need.

With the Jabra Sound+ app not only can you optimize the headphones but you get pass through sound amplification that you can use while listening to music, on a call, or just with the headphones in your ears. This feature makes the 65ts and Active 75ts low grade hearing aids on top of being amazing headphones. With any variety of 75t or 85t earbuds you also get active noise cancellation as an added bonus if you’re one of those people that thinks you need it. Call quality on both ends is five stars all around, and the presets and equalizer controls allow you to customize your soundstage exactly how you've always wanted. The white noise feature along with its 12 different presets makes the any compatible pair of Jabras optimal for naps on a plane, or during your daily commute. I wouldn't use the feature over night only because I'm prone to ear infections. The ONLY downsides I could mention is the quick battery depletion when fiddling with the Jabra Sound+ app on the 65ts in particular. The 75ts did not have this battery drain issue when utilizing the Sound+ App.

Unbelievable quality

I was very skeptical of ear buds that required an accompanying app. I just wanted some quality ear buds that I could stick in my ears and go. Or so I thought. Let me explain…. I spent 20 years in the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic and have literally spent 10’s of thousands of hours around running jet engines along with a myriad of other hazardous noise sources. The current state of my hearing is absolutely a reflection of that. When I launched JabraSound …begrudgingly…and it proceeded to give me what basically amounted to a hearing test, I was amazed. JabraSound wanted to customize my listening experience while taking into account the frequency ranges each of my ears has difficulty with. As if that wasn’t enough, JabraSound also allowed me to adjust the noise cancelling level and balance which is great because my left ear is a lot worse than my right. Probably from listening to those aforementioned jet engines out the driver’s side window of a maintenance truck in the latter years of my military career. These ear buds are amazing. And JabraSound that accompanies them is unbelievably handy. It slows you to do things with the ear buds you didn’t even know you would love. Thank you, Jabra!

Impressive Sound with the Ability to Tweak

The Jabra Elite 75t checks all the boxes. First and foremost the audio quality is superb. You have the ability to tailor the music to your liking with the various presets available via JabraSound (default, bass boost, treble boost, speech, smooth). Not all of the wireless earbuds have this capability. As I mentioned JabraSound is where you can do this as well as for firmware updates which didn’t take a long time. JabraSound also contains a user manual. Let me reiterate...not all wireless earbuds have this capability. Now for the comfort and look - this is where in my opinion Jabra shines. Many of the wireless earbuds on the market today don’t particularly look great in the ear. They are either too big (like the Bose Soundsport Free), too dorky (Apple AirPods), or just odd looking. Creative thought was put into these, for they look and feel just right. I don’t ever feel that they are going to fall out of my ear. If you have that fear then how can you really enjoy them? So from an audio, comfort, and app
standpoint they are superb. As for cons I really don’t have any so if you are looking for top quality wireless earbuds that provide what I just discussed then look no further...Jabra Elite 75t!

Outstanding ear buds!!

I love my music. I’ve had Bose noise-cancelling headphones before, Bose noise cancelling aviation headsets before (switched to Litespeed Zulu 3’s...), Klipsch home stereo setup for over 25 years. I travel a lot for work as a pilot and wanted a pair of great earbuds. Ordered several sets, including Klipsch since I love my speakers, and had never heard of Jabra’s but read some really good reviews. Hands down they were the best set out there. JabraSound is easy to use, they connect automatically once you do the initial setup, music sounds great with them. I do wish they were a bit louder, but their volume is on par with everything else out there. I can’t speak to their ability to handle phone calls as I use them purely for music. They stay put in my ears well, and are comfortable enough that I can wear them on a 3-hour flight, then while I’m walking between gates, and onto my next flight. With the case being a recharging base, they’ll last for a full day of travel with plenty of time to spare. 10/10 would recommend if you’re in the market for ear buds!!

Great flexibility, sound and options

I’ve tried a lot of ear buds Sony xm3, galaxy pros and airpods. I switch between the AirPods and my 85t’s for all-around use and solid sound and noise canceling. Both are good to great in all areas. But 85ts are quickly becoming my favorites! The 85ts are super comfortable, I’ve even slept with these in my ears - not intentionally but had no issues . I woke up with the sound of the ocean and both buds still in my ears and no soreness. I am reaching more often for the 85ts due to the sound (music), ability to “easily” adjust the equalizer depending on use, and the convenient controls on the buds - this allows me to leave my phone in my pocket. I like the 85ts for ANC , music and phone calls. The AirPods work better for me in transparency mode and zoom calls (connectivity). The 85ts stay connected whereas I will occasionally lose my AirPod connection when walking and listening to news, pod-casts and music. The jabras are impressive to say the least, and although there are many positive reviews for these buds, I still think they’re under-rated!

Headphones are nice/Update is HORRID!!!

The Elite 65t earbuds worked fine prior to the latest, October 2019, update. To be honest, my phone's battery is suffering the most due to the latest updates, which I have mentioned above. The left earbud had a horrible time syncing with the update but now it works. However, my iPhone battery is draining so rapidly that I deleted the Jabra Sound+ app just to have enough battery life to make it through the day. But get this, this happens even when the earbuds are not being used!!! Prior to the update, my phone's battery would drop to 78% every day!!! Since the update was installed, my phone's battery drops to 39% by 5:00PM; this NEVER happened, as stated above, before the update was installed. I will now try to re-download JabraSound . I hope this corrects the problem. Regarding sound: I wish they had more depth: the treble levels are stronger than the bass levels. Therefore, melodic music and classical music have strong highs but the depth of the bass, when EQ'ed, becomes a muffled distorted addition to the track. Overall, I enjoy the product but I truly miss the Klipsch and Bose sound I enjoyed when my phone accepted headphones; now I can only use Bluetooth headphones with my new iPhone.

Great app

Been using JabraSound for a year or so, now, so I’m pretty much used to it. One thing I really like about the 85h headphones is that you can charge them while using them, which is really convenient for long distance commuting. (I listen to a lot of audiobooks.) Another helpful feature is the little deck of radio buttons that make it easy to switch listening modes. JabraSound also comes with an equalizer as well as an automatic environment detector, which you can personalize. This is supposed to be a big selling point, but I don’t particularly like my headphones to automatically switch listening modes based on what it guesses is appropriate, or maybe I just haven’t gotten the hang of it. Anyway, I am very happy with JabraSound and the headphones and consider them to be the best I’ve ever owned. They rarely leave my head, and after a year of extremely heavy use, I’ve noticed no decrease in quality; however, the cups are about ready for a replacement as the liner is starting to show definite signs of wear, which is to be expected, of course.

Great app.

This is the best app I have ever used for earbuds. I appreciate that the earbuds have voice prompts, as I am completely blind. The only issue I’m having is that I can’t adjust the E cues, because they’re not sliders. The reason that sliders are important for screen readers is because they could be adjusted. It would be appreciated if this could be fixed. For example when you were to go into the EQ, voiceover would say 50%, bass, slider. Then, a voiceover user would be able to swipe up and down to actually use the slider. Also, in the labels for the batteries, it would be helpful for voiceover users if they were labeled better. For example, the earbuds battery would say left 90%. Right 88%. and the case battery would say case, 9%. Also, it would be appreciated if the mics on the elite seven Pro could be improved to sound just like the 85T during phone calls. They sound better when using here through, so there’s no reason they can’t sound better during phone calls. Please update this via software. Thank you.

Bass mid Treble adjust

I love how I can personalize my headphones and pick between high bass, high treble, or mid and adjust the sound. I also like how they are updating JabraSound , it makes me excited for what comes next. Maybe we will be able to set custom presets, keep track of battery health if we use them a lot, or a share audio feature like with AirPods so other people with jabra headphones can listen to the same song from one device. Also you can implement a gauge to see if any of our adjustments damage the headphones as I understand too much bass is bad for the speakers. Following the same logic, we can have a volume gauge to see if we are damaging our own ears. User friendly products are feeling very scarce to come by so this added feature just showing that you care about your customers already would make this a high quality product. The only problem I am having is the headphone cutting out every now and then when I'm driving in the car.

JABRA gets 3 Thumbs up 👍Move Along Now Samsung ,Apple…..

So Far So Good. Just using it going on 4 days and honestly, it is a fantastic app for the functionality and no bugs like few others have said. I’ve just gone through 3 pairs of BT Earbuds and these 75T’are the best by a mile. JabraSound is heads and tails above the Samsung, Beats, and Apple pros because of the equalizer function that I get to tune. These 75T beat the others on sound quality hands down. JabraSound allows you to take a hearing test just like at the doctors and then tunes the earbuds to compensate. It unbelievable to be honest as I lost 26% in 1 ear few years ago and I can’t tell anymore. Love the Focus mode with the relaxing sound options and the transparent mode is awesome as doubles as it’s like having a mid level hearing aid. Now I can’t tell my wife I didn’t hear what she was saying. Wait, Maybe I should take a star away for that as it could be considered a negative attribute if you think about it. JK my dear!!!! 😬

Decent, but EQ is buried & customization too limited

The new app (ver 2.0.1.6 released April 2018) is better in some ways, but worse in others. The good (at least in theory): now there are several profiles for different listening environments. The bad: only one profile is customizable – which is the only one that’s really useful to me anyway due to the lack of customization on the others, and worse, it now makes you go through more steps to reach the equalizer and HearThrough options. Frustrating, since I have to change the EQ twice daily, once for normal daytime listening and once at night to fully lower all frequencies to reduce overall volume as much as possible. (Even with volume set to 1% on iPhone via Siri, the Elite 65t is still too loud for nighttime listening.)

The other improvement is that JabraSound now recognizes instantly when you turn HearThrough (ambient sound) on or off via your headset. This wasn’t working before.

JabraSound retains its clean, simple, appealing look. Just needs quicker access to options, and more options. Doesn’t seem hard to fix.

Great Eq, though lacking in the number of custom presets.

I love JabraSound and all the features, hear-through, walk mode settings, phone calls, it all works great. It’s competent for the earbuds themselves. However, there is a small concern I have. I listen to a LOT of different kinds of music, ranging from acoustic to death core and farther. Therefore, there are a lot of different mix styles. Having the ability to optimize sound for the music you listen to, no matter what, is key to me. I feel like only being able to create TEN different preset equalizers is a little... restricting. If eq is not set right, tracks will clip and buzz and it takes away from the experience of the music. I personally hate that. Now, most people don’t LISTEN to every genre under the sun, so some may not feel the same. But, I feel like more equalizer preset possibilities is the ONLY thing stopping me from rating JabraSound 5 stars.

TL;DR: Great, but needs more custom eq presets.

4.5 Star App

Of all the Bluetooth headphone apps I’ve used over the years (or the Samsung Buds I got that didn’t even have an iOS app) the Jabra app is the first one I’ve ever used nearly every time I use my headphones. Which, because I’m in the car for work a lot and driving the 4 kids to a million activities a week after work, I use my 65T Active Elites about 6 hours a day on average. Love JabraSound . The EQ is respectable. Iit can always get better, but for today’s tech, it’s definitely respectable. The fine tuning is surprisingly responsive. I have EQ presets for podcasts, and the many different genre’s of music I listen to. The Hear Through feature is a life saver. You feel a little like you have a hearing aid on, but, again, for current tech it’s solid. The find my buds needs some work and what they really need is a find my charging case. 😂🤨 I lose my case way more. I can’t give it 5 stars, but it is a solid 4.5 Stars.

Just Okay

Had these buds and have used JabraSound for over a year now. I do like the sound quality and the inner ear configuration cuts out surround noise, hard stop. But JabraSound and firmware updates make using that feature trouble some. When placing buds in case for storage they automatically turn on during recharge/storage and will reconnect the Bluetooth signal as the primary source. Which is trouble some when listening or watching sources with the phones speaker. And JabraSound takes a minutes to recognize the buds to enable some of the features ie Hear Thorough Mode. It also seems like recent updates have cut out sound while listening to anything after turn on the hear through mode. But not the guy in charge of fixing that so guess I’ll see it that is corrected at a later date. Oh forgot to note these were used with an IPhone X and now a 12 Plus. But with all that said the buds are okay but not sure I would purchase again if lost, damaged, or stolen.

Good but needs a few features

Headphone: Elite 85h. App is ok, I mostly like the customizations for voice calls. A couple of issues that need to be worked out though. Connectivity issues happen often where JabraSound does not recognize the headphone as connected, even though it is connected (possibly the Bluetooth LE part). Please add ability to manage Bluetooth connections (similar to Bose and Cortana apps). The Elite 85h is able to connect to 8 devices, but with many devices previously connected laying around the office or at home, it’s difficult to know which ones are connected. The headphone only says “two devices connected” so at the minimum please make it say the names of the devices. If I want to connect another device, I have to disconnect one of the two already connect, then connect the other. It won’t connect to a new device and automatically drop and replace one of the connections. Sometimes I have to go device hunting to see what it’s connected to (iMac, surface, iPhone, iPad)

Jabra elite 75t

I read all the reviews about this product and was blown away. When I received it the sound was amazing and couldn’t compare to any other product in terms of clarity of sound and bass. 2 months after purchase I noticed that the left earpod stopped working and did a number of resets then exchanged it for another pair. After receiving my replacement pods, couldn’t be happier with the sound once again. Again about 2 months after receiving the replacement, the left earpod stops working. Did all the resets as I Googled all the various options including holding the buttons as well as charging the case with the flap open and removing the pods. Worked for just a few minutes then the left pod died again but for some strange reason, the hear through button still works. For the price I paid for these pods, was really expecting a much much better experience but reached the point now where I’m going to return again. Sorry Jabra, your App works just fine but the actual product and reliability of it it terrible. Horrible in fact.

Pretty sweet!

Love that app. Great customization. Hearing test to set to your specific needs. Equalizer. Plenty of presets. Hear through so you can quickly silence the stream and hear the outside world without removing the buds. With the latest update they’ve added ANC though I honestly don’t notice much of a difference with it on.

My only complaint is I wish there was a way to switch between connected devices through JabraSound . For instance, you’re connected to the TV and your phone. Watching sports on TV I sometimes want to just watch and not listen, so I’ll switch to listening to music on my iPhone. To make that happen you have to either disconnect from tv through Bluetooth menu or turn off tv temporarily to break connection to TV and allow iPhone to pickup connection. Should be a way to do this quickly and easily in the Jabra app.

Beware: extremely buggy performance on iPhone

After I sold the Jabra Elite 85h because of buggy performance on iPhone when connected to two devices (dropouts etc.), I just wanted to give a second chance to Jabra when I looked for a new headset for work. This morning I unboxed the Jabra Evolve2 65 MS headset, connected it to my PC, updated firmware through Jabra Direct and voila, everything worked flawlessly. Then I wanted to connect it to my iPhone 11 Pro Max running on latest iOS 14.6. The headphones paired and everything worked (music, calls, MS Teams…) EXCEPT your very own Sound+ App that cannot recognize your very own Jabra Evolve2 65 that shows up regularly on the list of my phone’s Bluetooth devices. SHAME, SHAME, SHAME! In your answers to other users encountering the same issue you advise to turn off, restart etc. and YES, there is a workaround to make the headphones appear for a limited time, until iOS kicks the Sound+ app out of the memory. Then, when you re-enter JabraSound it’s the same story all over again. Ridiculous!

Jabra 85t Elite

I like these earbuds and getting used app…I will say I have the AirPods Pro, Bose Quietcomfort and these. They all have pros and cons…since I have all Apple products the Airpods do an amazing job of connecting to the nearest device but they are smart enough to take a call While listening to something on my Mac.

The QuietComfort might have the best seal and overall sound but they will start to hurt the ear after two or three hours. I think Jabra is way more comfortable for longer periods of time and calls seems to sound good. They are particularly better at Bluetooth connection but I am disappointed that I can only connect to my iOS devices and not my Mac via Bluetooth for multipoint as described from several sources on the web…not even sure how to use or pair to more than one device.

Close, very close

On the whole I would argue that most apps accompanying a product are just for novelty. However, this is NOT that. There are many cool features that were both expected and something I had never thought of. On top of an already stellar physical product (Jabra Elite), it’s fantastic. The UI, seamless use, and walkthroughs… well done Jabra.

My only concern, and reason I do not give it 5 stars, is because the headset will not remain in active noise cancellation mode on their own. Which is incredibly frustrating. That means you have to open JabraSound , and select your specific setting every time the headphones are disconnected/connected from your device. If this ever is changed I would adjust this review in a heartbeat.

Hope this helps.

Ok app but needs device connection control

The custom EQ in JabraSound is nice but that’s really all I’ve used JabraSound for. Sometimes the hearthrough setting doesn’t match the earbuds so I have to flip it a couple times to make it match.

Feature Request:
The ability to see and manage all devices that have been connected to my earbuds. Along with this, the ability to choose which two devices I want connected. The Bose app does this. If I have my computer and iPhone in front of me and it connects to the iPad (in my backpack) and computer, I can tell the headphones through JabraSound (or through the toggle on the headphones themselves) to connect to my iPhone and my computer and disconnect my iPad. Currently I have no way of knowing what devices are currently connected.

Latest version(s) are a hot mess

A few days or a week ago I attempted to update my Jabari Elite 65T’s through JabraSound . The update gets to -50% compete before it cancels... then tries to update again every single time I take the buds out of their case or turn them off, then on again. Each time the update takes a few minutes , gets about halfway done and fails and there is no way to just cancel it. This affects whatever I’m trying to listen to as well as the call that I’m tying to answer.

Today, Jabra had an update that was supposed to fix the problem, but made it much worse. Instead of getting stuck 1/2 way and cancelling, the update gets all the way complete and I get a notice to put the bids in the case to complete the update. Once in the case, the light blinks purple, as it should and then stops, as it should. When I take the buds back out, the update that already happened starts all over again and cannot be cancelled. This happens every time. The buds update the same update every time I take them out of the case... infuriating.

HearThrough feature unsatisfactory

Headphones are good (Elite Active 65t). I’ve noticed occasional 1-2 second dropouts while on walks/runs. Other than that I am pleased with fit and sound quality. HOWEVER, JabraSound is a bit of a nightmare. I’ve never been able to control HearThrough since purchase—no slider for adjusting. I also had to download app twice and reset the headphones after the most recent firmware upgrade. After I upgraded firmware, the slider for the Call Sidetone setting vanished. So I was without control for both that and the HearThrough features. Lucky that the Sidetone controller came back after deleting JabraSound , fully resetting the headphones, restarting iPhone and then reinstalling app. I’m still without the control of HearThrough, though. From reading other reviews it looks like this has been a chronic problem for a year or more.

Please fix this glitch. App gets 2 stars (barely). Headphones themselves 4 stars.

Pretty Good

So, my review is more based on the actual ear monitors themselves BUT JabraSound is pretty flawless. I mean, to have your own EQ settings and not just what apple’s eq list has is phenomenal. They should take notes from Jabra on what sound should be. The only downside is their needs to be some type of firmware update to fix the static in the left earbud (unless this is just something that will never be solved) because I’ve read a lot of reviews that this has happened to numerous people BUT when they work, well, they work! I own the 65t’s but want to soon upgrade to the 75t’s. Decent bass response from the settings menu and switching back and forth between receiving ambient sound and completely blocking it out is simple. Thank you Jabra!

A must-have companion for my ELITEactive 65t

A great portal for managing and controlling my ear buds. The ability to easily select one of four predefined, yet customizable, profiles is a time-saver. But this customization is also one reason for a star lost.

The equalizer offers the option (widget) to select predefined profiles for music and/or speech. One profile is customizable; however it does not retain your custom settings! Selecting CUSTOM will always default to flat; forcing me to reconfigure.

Another issue preventing 5 stars is the CallerID announce feature. I want to use this because the Siri announce makes me use the silence switch to activate/deactivate it. Sound+ will announce the name or number always, while enabled. Unfortunately the voice quality is so poor that it’s nearly useless. I returned one set of earbuds because of this but the second pair has the same issue - leading my conclusion that it’s in the software.

All told the ELITEactive65t is a fantastic set of buds that I don’t fear losing during workouts and the sound is extremely good. But this is an app review, not for hardware.

App makes my headphones not work

I love these headphones! Everything about them is great. However, over the past few months I cannot get them to turn on and off properly. Instead of beeping twice and turning off, they beep twice followed by a triple beat that I have not heard previously. I have the latest firmware installed & the latest app version, but nothing would fix it. I even took apart the case thinking it might be some sort of connection issue to the case, but I found nothing. Finally, I had to uninstall and reinstall JabraSound & now they work perfectly. I enjoy the functions of JabraSound , but it really isn’t feasible to have to do this daily in order to get the headphones to work properly. I’ve searched online, and I cannot seem to find anyone else experiencing this. Maybe it’s just me, but I wanted to leave this bit here in case anyone else has this issue!

Needs improvement

Obviously is app is a necessity for getting the most out of the elite band elites actives 65t.
It’s straightforward and simple and works generally well.
Here are a few things that Jabra needs to implement:
-find my buds option that Bose and Jaybird have already on their totally wireless earbuds. I believe it is only a software issue that works between Bluetooth and location services. This would make these buds even more appealing.
-More predefined equalizer presets and the ability to save your own custom preset as I am not sure it does.
-more control on connected devices when using the multipoint connection.
-an option to change the device name perhaps?
And finally I use these buds a lot with my iPad and i would really hope JabraSound is enhanced to work with iPads and in landscape mode. I am sure Jabra is a company that has the resources to port JabraSound to look nice on these bigger devices.

Thanks

Nice

I don’t have a lot to compare JabraSound to, but it’s very intuitive and tunable. Enough for me at least. It would be cool if they added soundstage options to play with. The equalizer is very responsive and easy to adjust with not too many bands to complicate things with. Five bands is enough for me to find a sweet sound. You can choose from 6 preset EQs, or save some custom ones. This thing even comes with a noise machine that you can choose from different environments to drown out noise if you aren’t listening to music.

Superior ear buds and app to customize

I’ve owned many different earbuds. Thanks fully totally wireless buds are are affordable. These January 65t are terrific. Learning to use is quick. JabraSound offers nice nuance control. Hearthrough is terrific addition as is peaceful sound collection.

These stay in VERY well particularly vs wireless buds that have connecting wire. I work outside landscaping so always up and down, turning my head which caused buds to fall out all the time. These stay in almost every time taking tshirt off and on.

Thank you Jabra

Most recent updates

To get right to the point, I have a neurological issue along with a hearing sensitivity. I went through more than a half a dozen different brands manufacturers, and did a lot of research.

The last update there was a major change to the Hear Through feature works. There was a very simple slide bar with roughly 5 adjustments allowing more and less sound with each adjustments. It is now gone!! That was a lifesaver for me. Going outside I might as well go back to ear plugs. Now the Hear Through feature is louder than ever and I’d be better off not having them in your ears at all.

Great App. Not working?

I really loved JabraSound , when it was working for me. I just recently bought a pair of the Elite Active 65t headphones and they’re working wonderfully and the sound quality is amazing. I got JabraSound just a few days ago and it’s been working very well I love it. Today I tried using it and it just doesn’t recognize that my earbuds are connected. I can’t access any features. I uninstalled and reinstalled JabraSound and it still doesn’t connect to my headphones even though they are connected to the phone. Please help!
