Ocean Waves - Relaxing Sound Reviews

I have had trouble sleeping through the night for months. I’ve tried other apps but they didn’t work. I searched yesterday evening and found ocean waves which makes you really feel like you are sleeping at the beach, truly relaxing. I slept through the night for the first time in a long time and when I woke up at 6 am instead of my typical 4 am....I felt super refreshed and amazing!! Highly recommend OceanWaves! It worked for me!

I live by the beach but can never get enough of the soothing sounds of waves. OceanWaves plays continuously and seems eternal, like the ocean. Every wave seems distinct and random, like the ocean. You can also hear the lingering and water pooling among the rocks. My go to —at bedtime. And when I long to be at the beach, all I have to do is close my eyes, and cozy up to my pillow and smell the ocean air!!! Love it!

I have several wave apps to help me sleep but this is the only one I use now. It’s the most soothing and doesn’t have that jarring repetition some of them have. Even my husband who has no trouble sleeping reminds me to play it.
I have had no issues with it stopping. It plays all night.

I downloaded OceanWaves two months ago for our newborn. I love it up until today, when it won’t keep playing. It help my baby fall asleep at night and stay asleep longer. It would play all night on our iPad. Today I can’t keep it playing. It is random in its play length from 1 minute to 15 but not just shuts off waking my baby!! So frustrating! If you would have asked me yesterday I would have given 5 stars.. not today.... very sad and frustrated customer. It also throws adds in now too today was the first for that.

Before the recent update, the ocean sounds would play all night. Now they only play until the screen “snoozes.” Then the sound stops until you unlock your screen. I guess you have to pay before the sounds play uninterrupted again. Thanks for ruining a great app. 😞

I use OceanWaves when I close the windows and doors, it makes it hard to hear the real waves outside...I’d give it five stars, but I don’t think the designer of OceanWaves knows that real wave sounds don’t occur as frequently as OceanWaves makes them .Actually, (and most people don’t realize this)the amount of waves per minute is a constant. 19 waves every 34.9 seconds...

In one easy step. Push play and relax. Have problems waking up in the middle of the night and not falling back to sleep? The ocean will take you back to dreamland-no worries. No annoying seagulls either. I use OceanWaves every night. Love it👍🏻🌊‼️

Love OceanWaves. Very simple to use and the sounds are clean. The sleep timer is nice as well. I don't need fancy videos clouding the screen when trying to get some rest.

I use it at night to help me sleep while recovering from a brain tumor.

This is exactly the type of app I was looking for that would allow me to set a timer and listen to the sound of ocean waves while I meditate. And it does all of this in the free version. Perfect!

Ads pop up at the beginning and if you are trying to use this to help you fall back asleep, you get loud, annoying ads rather than peaceful ocean waves.
Didn’t used to be this way. Love ok’ing for another app because this is now counterproductive to sleep due to ads.

I used this sound to do a visual meditation for a friend who is ill.
It's long and powerful and I didn't notice a quick repeat so it allowed me to do what I was doing without coming back out of my process.
I like it.

OceanWaves is amazingly simply, yet also amazingly effective. You'd think you were near a real ocean. When I first tried it, I couldn't believe how much it made me relax. It really does help me to drift off to sleep.

This is a pretty relaxing ocean sounds app. Sometimes, it gets a bit wonky though: some nights, it shuts off without warning, while other nights it stays on until I shut down OceanWaves in the morning. Weird and a bit unpredictable. :/

I enjoyed OceanWaves for a few weeks when one or two ads would start popping up that I could cancel. Then it started showing me ads that there was no way to get rid of and even in turning OceanWaves off I still had the background noise on my phone. I had to do a restart on my phone to get rid of the ads.

I've been having trouble winding down at the end of the day, and my mind is usually racing when I get in bed. Using OceanWaves has really helped me relax and drift to sleep.

No need to sleep by the toilet anymore, with this fantastic newish app. Light sabers beware! Because there is some competition in town! OceanWaves wrangles up some of the best intergalactic Ocean soundscapes known to man. So sit on down and get on back up on this relaxing rodeo of whitenoise. Booya!

Changed to one star because it’s 7.99 for the paid version. Very disappointed. 😔 my previous review from 3 years ago was 5 stars…Love OceanWaves . It does the job well. Please make a paid version so I can get rid of the ads! I would also like a longer timer- up to 2 hours. Thanks

Not only does OceanWaves help me get to sleep quickly, my deep sleep has greatly increased. Thanks so much for providing OceanWaves. It is serene, soothing and effective.

This helps calm my mind whenever I’m about to go to sleep. Highly recommend for others who have racing thoughts before they go to sleep.

Have loved OceanWaves, my daily meditation. No human voice, which I appreciate. Only complaint: I can understand a business needs ads, just wish those were quieter, in keeping with the mood of OceanWaves .

Use to play all night before my latest phone update! Would have given it a five star before.
