I live in the Orange County area. I was referred to Dr. Kelly by my daughter-in-law, Lisa Pettit Rios (St. John’s ER nurse), for a pituitary tumor. I called Dr. Kelly’s office and received a return call from his PA, Amy the same day. I was able to provide Amy my medical records. An appointment was scheduled for me the next day. After reviewing my records, it was determined surgery would be the best option. The surgery was scheduled within 6 days. All pre-op was done then same day of my initial visit. Everything was explained to me very well and there were no hiccups. From start to finish Dr. Kelly and his office are top notch! 10 out of 10!!

Cost Effective, Reliable and Fast Service

I’ve used Providence today and has been truly amazed with the convenience. Not only is it cheap, this tool was absolutely helpful! Thank you this app for embracing technology and for also making this service available to more people that can’t afford doctors visits or any huge medical bills.

Pointless

Providence is pretty much useless for anything other than finding a doctor, and in that regard it is completely useless to me. In order to find a doctor you must first give the name of your insurance. this app is in my insurance preferred provider network, yet Providence doesn’t recognize the name of my insurance. Thus ends my search for a doctor before it even gets started, at least so far as Providence is concerned. Everything else is handled by a virtual assistant, which is as much a time consuming waste as any virtual assistant I’ve ever seen. The only useful thing about Providence is a link to MyChart, so why not just download the MyChart app and go straight to the source?

App functional but icon is uncomfortable

I like the functionality Providence offers in contacting medical professionals, managing appointment and prescriptions. I am not happy though that this app—which my employer selected—uses Christian symbols in their logo and in Providence’s icon. I’m not Christian and feel very uncomfortable having to see a cross on my iPhone screen daily just to use my health insurer’s app to manage my health.
Please consider your insurance customers’ varied faiths when choosing what symbols you use with your organization. We don’t all have a choice to have a Christian-first insurer.

Get over it

I’ve been reading the reviews below, and the one thing that struck me was the people offended by a cross. I’m a long time employee of this app, and at the same time Agnostic. It’s a Catholic based organization, and if you are offended by that, then good luck. I’ve never been made to feel uncomfortable at work, but if a cross offends you that much, good luck.

All in one place.

I like that all my medical records are in one place. I also like that I can send questions to my physician directly.
Does have a few bugs with creating a new account, including this review in which the font color is white on white back ground, so I cannot see what I’m typing. And whenever I try to submit this review, I get a dialog window to enter a nickname, and whatever nickname I use is taken, so I’m not sure how I can proceed with submitting this review.

Can’t make a virtual appointment

I’ve been trying for months on and off to schedule a virtual appointment. No matter what I do, when it asks me to verify myself before moving forward it says user error saving. I’ve deleted Providence , reinstalled it. Tried calling this app, they transferred me to their IT department who never got back to me. I miss the old virtual option, it actually worked. Would love utilize it again someday, but no one can seem to help me.

Fast & Accurate

I had a great experience with Virtual Doctor. Not only did I speak to a doctor face to face (using my phone) within 20 minutes, she was very informative & fast. I went to get my labs done & I was done within 10 min. She called me & got my prescription ready within 2 hours of my labs. Such an easy & great experience.

Very poor

I agree with the other comments that this is a total loss to iPad users. The developers reply that it is designed for phone use. That is noted, but perhaps they should reevaluate their market. Most apps of substance are developed with the flexibility to be of use on either platform. I have an iPhone, but prefer to get this kind of info on my tablet. So, I’ll go back to myChart which has a few issues of its own, but its user interface is far superior and I don’t think I’ll miss any of the features on this poorly considered product.

Love the my Chart Portal

It is fabulous ap. I send in request for refills. If you wonder about you weight, verify what your weight was on last visit. If in go to new Doctor, not in this app group I can go to my chart and show them my Meds. Other conditions I have. All in one place.

Wow! Super fast and effective

I used the “Virtual visit” portion of Providence to have a diagnosis for my red, inflamed eye, and it worked really well. Instead of having to book an appointment or drive to a clinic and wait, I talked to a very friendly knowledgeable NP, and was diagnosed on a video call. Easy and quick and painless. Kudos to this app for providing this service, keep it up! 👍🏻

Out patient surgery

What a terrific staff there is at this app. In my experience today everyone from checkin to discharge was incredibly professional, gracious, supportive, and kind in every way. I am most grateful to have been treated by the wonderfully caring and dedicated professionals at this app.

Express care virtual is so easy and thorough

I am recovering from COVID and needed to receive care for a skin rash. It was easy to connect through my phone and talk directly to a provider who provided a topical treatment that I can have my pharmacy deliver. Simple, easy quick and me need to potentially expose others.

I turned 65 last July. I am on a this app Advantage Medicare Plan. I have been very pleased with the care I have received from all of the physicians and staff who I have encountered. I am very pleased with the My Chart feature. Results and reports are readily available. I appreciate being able to communicate with caregivers on line.

Easy to My Chart

I like having my health info at my fingertips and Providence provides most of the info I’m looking for. It’s app is easy to navigate and I have found that it’s improved over time. I wish it opened to full screen on my iPad but it only displays the size of an iPhone screen.

Rx Refills

So convenient. In the past, I had to go to my doctors office to submit a request to refill a prescription. Used the MyChart app to make the request and 24-hours later my local pharmacy notified texted me it’s ready for pick-up. Too easy.

The app works really well

I have been pleased having all my information in one place. It’s easy to use and efficient. Love how easy it is to add appointments to my calendar and communicate with my Doctors and other providers.

Professional and proficient

Went in for a wellness check up with Dr Kooser and he was very nice and he thorough with his questions. I’m going to keep going to him, he’s honest and seems very sincere. Drew blood for labs and results were posted in my chart that evening. Very easy to understand and no waiting.

My chart

It’s certainly secure. There are at least 1/2 dozen links to assist in connecting to my chart on line. Yes, appreciate it’s still pandemic time. However, after 90 minutes and waiting on line extensively for some help to try to access lab results in my chart...gave up...

The fact that there are so many help links says something. Thus should be cleaned up and all patients given a sheet with contact information if needed to assist in access.

I can always trust that my doctor will give me the proper medical needs every time I go in… She’s upfront and honest and tells me what I need to do which is very appreciative to me because my time is valuable as well as hers I would not recommend anyone to my family besides Dr. Bumstead

Beyond frustrating

Difficult to set up. Apparently anyone who has a December birthday is ineligible since Providence refuses to recognize it as valid. Supposed to be convenient but after 45 minutes trying and tech support holds..until it becomes after hours then cuts you off... it’s obviously not a priority. I guess to see live people and getting the entire family sick from being in a waiting room truly is only option

Can’t find your doctor

Hmmm. I fill out ALL the information required. Give ALL my details. What do I get in return? Sorry can’t find your doctor and a list of facilities I can call. How is Providence making it convenient? It’s easier to follow the links sent in my email and view my chart in Safari.

P.S. I’m not offended by a Christian symbol and I am not a Christian. Please DON’T buckle to snowflakes complaining about it. You’re a Christian based organization. Keep your symbol.

Initially it looks excellent - I love it!

Can’t create account! Says use another email.

Tried to create account. Said could not with this email. It’s the only email I’ve had for 6 or more years. I’m supposed to change it for your app!! I don’t think I need your service that bad. I’m sure no one else has that email and it’s on all my medical records. So what do you suggest?? Guess I’ll delete your app. No use to me!!

No landscape view for iPad?

Since I do all my medical appointments on my iPad and always use the landscape view, Providence won’t be of much use to me. Please add an iPad-compatible landscape view! Those of us with vision and/or dexterity issues will thank you. Since this is a medical app, I would think you’d want to accommodate a wider range of users. Until then, I’ll access the this app Portal via Safari!

Like the information that is available, however, there is room for improvement as far as syncing information amongst providers.

App Still Crashes when 2 Factor Auth is enabled

Latest app still unusually because I have 2 factor auth enabled that prompts for a second auth. Apps signs in then immediately crashes. Hoping for a developer response on who to contact (developer support link from App Store useless as it just goes to a generic contact us page for this app).
