Unfortunately HerculesCP has 3 major flaws:

1) It’s not uncommon to pay for a load and have nothing happen on the other end - ultimately you are out the money and they have no in-app customer service to resolve / dispute charges that did not actually activate your laundry load.

2) Most laundry rooms are in locations with minimal WiFi or cell signal - thus preventing you from refilling your account to pay for a load. In addition - the “pay to fill up” system is complete BS - they should allow us to utilize Apple Pay or the card we register with HerculesCP for each load.

3) Overall - HerculesCP has zero value except for being a holding party for money you have yet to spend on laundry and starting your loads. Timer notifications / or even the ability to not touch the laundry machine at all and set all settings from HerculesCP would be worthwhile - but none of this exists, the most you get is to load up your account with money and hope to God the machine actually takes the purchase and doesn’t defraud you of account money.

In summary - a poor outsourced app build from a lazy company unconcerned with customer service.

1. My management put the laundry room in the basement so there’s already lack of service to begin from that. 2. HerculesCP won’t even pick up the correct location for your laundry room making washing clothes turn into 2hr+ ordeal back and fourth mess. 3. HerculesCP doesn't even work for 98% of Iphone users. 4. Customer service is horrible as well. If you lose the card out of luck according to the packet you received the card in smh it’s a joke. 6. The system is extremely flawed. Most of the time we can’t even wash of our clothes because HerculesCP will not connect to the washes or dryers at all. It loads the money with no problem to the online account but when it’s time to actually use the washes HerculesCP malfunctions and can’t find machines or your proper laundry room location. HerculesCP and laundry system is just a waste of time and I honestly believe now its just a scam to collect personal information. It’s extremely frustrating and I can only imagine how the elderly or disabled are feeling/dealing with this system and app.

It now will no longer allow me to login. It now allows me to choose to login with either Google or Facebook. It now all of a sudden will not allow me to login as usual using Apple. The ** forget password** feature is a scam. The **non-robot test** is a scam. You can get every number right and it still will say it is inaccurate. HerculesCP will force you to login using multiple platforms. I am back to going to laundry matts. You cannot even contact the company directly because that feature is conveniently not easily available. I could not find it on HerculesCP . Just a horrible experience when faced with a problem. I give HerculesCP ZERO STARS, not One Star.

HerculesCP is a scam. Go through your account history and transactions after you do your laundry because often you will realize it has taken money from the account several times when you have only used one machine.
The machines also often just refuse to start after taking the money. Sometimes the machine above or below that is already running will take additional money for the laundry on a different machine without adding any time. Sometimes the machines will simply stop after a minute after taking your money. Watch out because their customer service is also really unhelpful.

This is about the business, Hercules, their machines and HerculesCP. All of which are objectively terrible. HerculesCP is terrible and aggravating. When you go to pay to start your washer or dryer the pay window will just “POOF” disappear. The advice of Hercules is to delete and reinstall HerculesCP . I’ve done this many times now. Their “new” machines BLOW! They add time, they throw codes with every other wash, they constantly need servicing and don’t work when you need them to work.

Stay away from HerculesCP. Stay away from Hercules.

They only bright spot are the people on the phones taking service calls because it’s not their fault. They’re doing their best with the absolute garbage they have at their disposal.

Leaving this review for any building managers considering switching their washers over to Hercules’ bluetooth-enabled washers/dryers + app: This system just doesnt work and is an overall massive downgrade. HerculesCP has a hard time connecting to bluetooth, even if your bluetooth is on, which means you might not be able to turn the washer on after you load it. If your credit card expired, since you now pay through HerculesCP , it wont tell you it needs a new one, it will just say “FAILED” repeatedly without telling your residents why. It has baffling error messages and seems to have an incredibly hard time communicating with washers & dryers, even in the best of times (when the bluetooth connects!). If you uninstall HerculesCP and reinstall it, just to give these idiots a chance to make it up to you, nothing will change, but you will have spent an extra 15 minutes trying to do your laundry. In other words, it makes something very simple extremely complicated at best, and totally impossible at worst. In addition to not being a technology business, Hercules is also not a customer service business, which means your building managers will be the one dealing with all your mad residents, not them. So please save everyone the agony and stick to the good old washers and dryers with buttons that actual humans press to turn on.

Glitchy login experience with apple sign in, kept asking for password even though I don’t need one and the only way it works is eventually closing it out

Super slow - I was in the laundry room for 15 minutes just to get it to add funds and then start two loads of wash. I kept having to move to another app and jump back in to get it to reconnect.

Deceptive sales move - HerculesCP strongly encourages you to add extra time to your cycle where you have to actively choose not to add instead of requiring you to choose to add time.

Time left is great but couldn’t the machine also tell if the machine is still full? People have a tendency to leave their clothes in for a few minutes or more after cycle so it would be nice to know when they’re actually empty.

Summary - HerculesCP connection to the server should be much quicker. Creating an entire account is a pain and I should have a digital card for my apple wallet to tap and refill to make life easier. Charging $5 for a physical card is a huge price for a piece of plastic. It’s nice to see the time left on the machines though?

HerculesCP is okay in that you can add a card and add money to it via HerculesCP rather than using a physical card. You can add money right away and it takes a minute or so to update the total amount. It tells you how much time is left on the washer/dryer and which ones you are using. Sometimes there are connection issues with the machines so I have to restart HerculesCP . It is not totally touchless as you still have to touch the buttons on the machines. When there are out of order machines you can notify through HerculesCP so that’s good to get immediate repairs done. It’s okay and gets the job done. The interface is user friendly for a laundry app.

I love how convenient HerculesCP is and not having to carry cash or a laundry card with me. However, the slowness of paying via Bluetooth is very annoying. It takes over a minute to start a dryer and then add another 30 minutes in 5 minute increments. It would be great if we could add more than 5 minutes at a time. Another feature that would improve the user experience is being able to add time to a machine from far away. I understand that this might not be possible if the machines are not connected to the internet. Regardless, it would be very useful.

HerculesCP is a little laggy, and the machine timer countdown is only accurate if you’re still within Bluetooth connectivity of the machine. But it’s way better than dealing with the archaic laundry card that requires a $20 minimum. I also think $10 minimum add on HerculesCP is a little steep, but at least I’m not scrounging for quarters anymore.

TIP: Occasionally HerculesCP will randomly log me out and want my password, which Apple iOS doesn’t like to save, BUT if you hit the home button in lower left of app, you’re all good!

I like HerculesCP and the ability to pay with it, and the reminder when the machine is done. I’m not thrilled that in the short time I’ve had HerculesCP , I’ve had to report our washer out of order twice, and that it has taken several days to fix it. We have designated laundry times in our condo building, with 12 units sharing our laundry room, you can see how that inconveniences many of us. Maybe faster repair response would be a suggestion. Otherwise all good! 👍🏻
I also wish we had a “fluff” cycle on our dryers for short cycles just to freshen things.

Works super well and convenient in my apartment building. Love that it also tells me when my clothes are done so I know when to get them. The only flaw is in regards to drying clothes past the main time. I tried to add an extra 6 minutes to my dryer time 5 times in a row. Although money kept coming out of my account, the timer didn’t move past the extra 6 minutes after the 3rd try. It just stayed at 72 minutes. It would have been nice to know that is the max time I can set for the dryer in one setting.

So far HerculesCP has been great. It’s made the mundane task of doing laundry that much less sucky. I can load money onto HerculesCP right for my phone, start the machines right for my phone while not having to worry about losing some kind of a card, and it tells me when the washers and dryer‘s are done so I never have to worry about forgetting to/setting a timer.

However, why do I have to log back into HerculesCP constantly? Just add a stay logged in option or even allow s user to log in with Apple Face ID. So far this is my only issue.

Our new machines work very well and it’s great to be able to start them on the phone and be told when the cycle is over. I can also look on my phone to see how many machines are available before I go down to the basement. There are a few small glitches. I also keep a smart card for those instances where the machine won’t connect to the phone, but that’s the minority of the time. Overall, this system is far better than what we used to have.

I have noticed that HerculesCP will always work on the tricky washer in my building that doesn’t always want to start when I use the laundry card , so that’s a plus. When I use HerculesCP on the dryers , the initial charge does not correlate with the laundry card initial swipe, so I have to be careful of that. The amount of money on HerculesCP and the amount of money on the laundry card are always separate- which can be a good thing or a bad thing 🤪. I like that I won’t lose HerculesCP , like I might lose a laundry card. The best thing is the automatic timer! When you use HerculesCP , you automatically know when to get back downstairs because HerculesCP tells you the washer or dryer is finished!!! Yay!!😀

The Hercules apps allows you manage your account, run the machines, keep tabs on the availability of machines and submit issues with machines all in one place. You also don’t have to worry about misplacing your card.

One issue is sometimes the connectivity with machine is not great with your phone because the basement where the washers are does not have good connectivity. Also sometimes there are nuanced issues like a dryer will not add additional time through HerculesCP .

HerculesCP is easy to use and you never have to worry about leaving your card in the machines with a lot of $ on it. I’ve done it twice and it’s sad that no one brought my card to my building’s Lost and Found. Or just left the card on the table in our Laundry room for me to retrieve it.

When I am running low on $, it’s so convenient and easy to add $ to the card on HerculesCP on my phone. No more having to go down to the basement, where Hercules has their machine for such purposes. No more having to phone Hercules Service Dept. for Service to a malfunctioning machine. That too can easily be done on the he App as well.

I am satisfied with HerculesCP. Is works most of the time although occasionally the server seems to fail and I have to use my card as a back up.
When functioning as expected, it always me to start the washer and dryer from my phone on HerculesCP . It also notifies me that the expected cycle time has elapsed. It does NOT know when a machine malfunctions and the cycle doesn’t complete. So if a load is unbalanced you get a false notification that the load has finished when in fact it may be stuck and not finished.

Who knew anyone would need an app to connect with the laundry room, but turns out some of us do. HerculesCP is great! Adding money is simple. Connecting with the machines is easy. Being able to leave the laundry room, do other things, and see when your laundry will be done without going all the way there is priceless! But honestly, what I love most is not having to carry pockets full of change and wait with the machines. HerculesCP makes that possible. It’s awesome!

HerculesCP allows operation of laundry machines. You add money to your account, tell it which machine you want to start, confirm your choice and then press the start button on the machine. Usually works fine but rarely the server is down. My account only lost value once in 3+ years using HerculesCP . Handy washing machine timers are visible and alert you when the cycle time has elapsed (unfortunately the timers in the machines are poorly calibrated so this feature is not as helpful as it otherwise should be). There are no timers for the dryers, which could be helpful if they would program those into HerculesCP . Overall no complaints.
