In an annoying move to get discounted fare to the Iowa state fair dart is forcing you to buy tickets through MyDARTDesMoines . Totally fine. I go to buy now and it won’t allow you to use your cc or wallet unless you ‘sign in’. I’m sorry dart I’m not giving you my email to spam me to buy a bus ticket once a year. Please change this immediately.

I updated hoping they fixed the ‘tap three places just to display your ticket’ interface. They didn’t. Instead they made it virtually impossible to find the one piece of info anybody using MyDARTDesMoines would want: when is the next bus coming? It defaulted from my northbound stop to displaying the southbound (because it is ‘nearer,’ maybe?). I apparently have to memorize which number is the southbound one, or tap one to see which direction it’s going & if it’s the right one. I finally figured out to drag down to update, not tap the info you want to get, as in the previous version. Anyway, it’s a mess. I’ll see if Google maps has realtime info & is usable.

I downloaded MyDARTDesMoines and created my account and when I went to use it I got an error message telling me that I had to confirm my email address on the link DART sent me. Problem is they never sent an email for me to confirm my email address. Then I had to click on Forgot Password link to reset my password, then it tells me to update my profile and when I fill out that page I get a new error message telling me that the email address that I’m trying to use already assigned to someone. YES, Me! C’mon you techie’s, get your act together.

Not successful getting signed up. Entered email and all other requested info, set my password and MyDARTDesMoines says my email isn’t verified. I check my email, no verification email. I tap the submit button again and then it says the credentials are already used by another user… I try again by resetting my password, I get that email, tap the password reset link and MyDARTDesMoines has me fill out a profile. Then I try to submit that and it says the email is already registered to another user. I still can’t sign in.

MyDARTDesMoines user experience is horrible.
To change your password, you have to know that MyDARTDesMoines in your password manager is called bytemark or something.
When you have to change your password, you don't want to have to deal with deciphering where to find your password once you've saved it to your phone. Unacceptable for an app that is to provide transportation for those who really need it. Simply lazy and unacceptable.

Some of the phone reps have condescending attitudes! Sometimes you will text me to let me know you’re sending a taxi, or car, but not always. I also prefer they pick one up in the back of my house!

Most drivers are kind and polite, however, there are drivers that are rude. The other night on September 22 I was trying to catch the 72 bus. The bus driver drove past the stop I waved the driver down and the driver stopped. However as I was walking to the bus he just drove off I consider this to be rude and unnecessary. But for the most part dart is doing a great job thank you

I like MyDARTDesMoines it’s very easy to understand and has great prices only problem is that routes get confusing but then you can understand then easy

I have never had a problem with the bus system and the drivers have always been very good to me.
The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is that sometimes I wish we were still using the transfer process instead of having to do everything on line. I can live with this though.

Cheap, easy, convenient way to get to the fair. don’t have to pay to park, don’t have to worry about my car getting scratched up, and never had to wait more than 5 to 10 minutes to go either direction. It couldn’t be any easier. Buses are clean and comfortable and you can even charge your phone on some.

I’m a single senior citizen without a car. I depend on Dart to take me to my audiologist, part way to my primary doctor (I walk the rest of the way), I take Dart to mail packages from the post office in Price Choppers, to Merle Hay Mall for Target, downtown to use the only Wells Fargo ATM I can get to.
I would be totally lost, and alone, without Dart. My bus is Route 5, Franklin Ave and Johnston. Because I’m low income I don’t ever take a taxi or Uber. I’ll be 78 in May, 2024. Please don’t take my transportation away. 👵🏻😲😔

I think dart gets a bit of a bad wrap but im not sure why! I just used dart for the first time and omg I was so impressed the route planner is helpful and you can tell that everyone at dart is really working to make it a convenient experience from MyDARTDesMoines to the helpful folks at dart central station to the sheer amount of ways to get the bus sechedule. There are printed versions, there’s MyDARTDesMoines there are the text and call features on the signs for each stop. I think we in Des Moines need to take greater advantage of this wonderful resource! Thank you dart!

This was our first time riding Dart and we took it to the Iowa State Fair. It is definitely the way to go-got to the the Fair quickly and for way cheaper than parking costs. We didn’t have to worry about finding parking either and the environment thanks us!! We will definitely ride again.

Thank you for providing ride services to the Iowa State Fair. I downloaded MyDARTDesMoines and bought tickets for our group for half price. Going to the Fair is extremely expensive (Food, drinks, shirts etc) . However Dart has kept their price affordable. Thank you! We will use your services again!

If not, for Dart, I would not be able to do all that I do, go everywhere I go! I am in a wheelchair and am able to utilize the ParaTransit program. It is $3.50 to go one way within the city limits, I am able to get to all of my appointments mostly on time they do get very busy. The drivers Are very friendly.
I used to take the 72 to Mercy One Health and fitness but they cut back on that route and now you have to take the 72 to Valley West and get on the 52 to get there so I pay seven dollars to get there and back so that makes it a little more of a talent but it’s still very helpful.
If they keep cutting back it will be harder for people to get places, I’m the lucky one that has transit as a back up

I am so thankful for the dart bus drivers. Most all of them are kind and friendly. I am thankful for Dart making programs available for people struggling. I feel that Dart cares about its riders. I would like to see more benches available as I am disabled and it’s hard to stand for 10 minutes waiting.

I’ve been without a car for 4 months and DART has been a lifesaver in allowing me to get around. It is great value for the money. Everyone should try riding the bus. It is an excellent service - and essential for many of its users.

Haven’t ridden DSM bus system in 30+ years. Tried it today vs Lyft. Easy to purchase a ticket and use. Pleasantly surprised that MyDARTDesMoines was accurate on times and trip for closest bus lines. Much better than Chicago’s App. Will definitely ride again.

Pretty easy to use after you read the directions and call customer service. They’re very helpful and efficient text I do need more para transit drivers

Taking the park and dart bus to the fair was easy. This takes all the hassle out of finding a parking place. The price was excellent. I used MyDARTDesMoines and saved 50%. The pickup and drop off was perfect. I will do this again.
