I’m part of a team that rates and reviews mental health apps and this is one of the top gamified health apps I’ve ever seen. It’s so good that I decided to write this review as it allows me to be more personal. ShadowsEdge is highly engaging, allows personalization and creativity all while combatting mental health.

It reduces the stigma that most teens face when taking measures for mental health help due to its ‘cool’ content. I also especially like it’s skateboarder/graffiti underground vibe given that most kids turn to that lifestyle(deviancy) when feeling unaccepted by society and family. Pure Genius. Therefore I encourage parents of children who are or may be heading towards that path to take this game into consideration.

While this game would have been ranked very highly on our site due to its content and experience of development team, Digging Deeper lacks publicity of Shadow Edges’ research. You state in many areas the findings of your research and development however there is no published research papers displayed anywhere (even after thorough research). Please publish such research and display it public for a more comprehensive score.

I love ShadowsEdge. There isn’t one out there like this. I would love an iMessage stickers with this. It could help promote others to ShadowsEdge. I love how this is totally free and doesn’t have ads (please don’t add ads to this). Maybe a fun idea would to be able to pay for some of the art and pages you’ve worked on. I think if that was ever in talks I would make it $1 for those who want to see/show off their artwork and I would love to see this on the Nintendo Switch and buy it for $5 and I think that could be a fun cool unique idea. Keep up the great work and I hope this has more stories coming soon.

After playing this game for some time and participating in the new updates and revisions I can honestly say this game is amazing and is so helping for anyone who is struggling with mental health issues.

This game was like an outlet for my emotions. The journaling aspects helped me process what I was feeling and taught me how to see things in different perspectives. I highly recommend this game to anyone who is struggling physically or emotionally.

This game has a pretty unique story in which you go to fill a dark, gray world with talent and color once again with your own masterpieces. The writing in the black journal gives you a place to quickly reflect on all sorts of different types of personal feelings, all in your pocket or bag. I enjoy my time with ShadowsEdge, and I hope to find more like it!

ShadowsEdge is extraordinary for anyone with a chronic illness that is looking to transform the way that they express themselves whether they’re using art or journaling. The creativity in self-expression on ShadowsEdge is bound to provide a much more meaningful opportunity to learn about themselves and also eliminate the possibility of self-harm in the process

I definitely recommend this for anyone struggling with depression. This game has brought me new light. If you are a rebellious kind of person you will also like this game! Thank you for making ShadowsEdge!

i’ve been using this to help cope with depressive thoughts at night and overall to deal with depression and anxiety. i really love the storyline and ShadowsEdge has actually helped me do things that i usually don’t want to do in therapy like writing down my feelings and breathing exercises. this is a really great app that really helps in dealing with mental health issues and i hope as many people find it as possible :)

As someone who deals heavily with anxiety and depression this game is amazing. I can just sit and paint the city while thinking and I’ve noticed my thoughts will create some cool designs. So great app!

When I first learned about this game on Instagram, I knew I just HAD to have it! It’s helped me SO much with my medical life! You guys are just the absolutely the best for creating this!

Much like the real world, painting in this teaches you composition skills and depth to what your doing. Stress relieving and satisfying! A great way to develop style and proportion!

This is a great casual game to play to help with stress and helps you calm down. It has great potential!
