this app has been working on this update for almost a year and their hard work is refreshing to see. There have been great improvements and the overall stability of a Phantom Premier setup has been drastically improved. No longer requiring a Dialog is also a pleasant surprise as the Dialog runs quite hot and has always been one of the weakest and most unpleasant parts of a this app setup. There are some things that are of a concern however with this upgrade. The Phantom Premiers will now play corrupt audio over optical which could potentially damage the speakers. This was not the case with DevialetOS 1.X. There has been a shift in audio and the Phantoms do not sound as they did when initially purchased. An equalizer with the preset used by DevialetOS 1.X would be nice. It would have been also been great to see Airplay2 support. Airplay1 is limited to 16bit/44 and this does not do these speakers any justice. RAAT support would also have been great to see as many Phantom Premier owner use ROON. Overall, thanks for the update and continued support :) And thanks for the ability to prefer Network over PLC. That was severely needed and perhaps a very underrated feature of Devialet.

Also talking about the sound, the phantom reactors made the best sound I have ever heard. So full and so rich in everything. I’m and stunned and super happy I bought the setup and also that I called in! 😍

Last update 2.14 made speakers Phantom gold -I unavailable working by ethernet. App see stereo Only by wifi mode. If you plug in cable like it was before update application didn't find any Phantom on the room. (Only by switch control on wifi it could work and see both Phantom. However wifi is not good solution thats why I did use cable always in past. Now it just non work at all by ethernet cable). Please fix it asap to use application work again by using cable connect.

upd: It lost connection even when Auto is selected in the network interface.

I have three Phantom Golds. They sounded phenomenal until the new OS2 came out. Since then, they are inoperative. Basically three thousand dollar paperweights that stream music for — no exaggeration — about fifteen seconds before losing connectivity. Tried switching routers, modems, nothing helps. The software and firmware is garbage and this app’s customer service is slow and useless. They blame everything on your hardware and tell you to buy separate routers and hard-wire everything even though they sell Phantom as a wireless wonder. I regret this purchase every day. Please spare yourself.

I’ve got multiple speakers in one room (4) gold phantoms & I needed the dialog box to connect them and play together and it always gave me issues . Now with the new software upgrade I don’t need the dialog box and the speakers works fine all the time. It’s amazing …… finally everything works very well.

Bought two 900 reactors...Worse buy in a long time!
You need to figure out analog and then if you want to listen to music through Bluetooth you have to delete everything and reset to blue tooth and then you guessed it. In order to watch tv through them you have to delete everything and then re pair speakers switch on analog and match it with your tv...oh yeah customer service is horrible

I have bought two Phantoms and two Reactors, and while I appreciate their sound, I am disappointed by the this app app. It simply refuses to pair the Phantoms, and does not connect to one of the Reactors. Even if i manage to establish a bluetooth connection, which requires to follow a complicated protocol, it won’t last for long - bad stability. The Diavalet support is not really helpful, either, if they respond at all.
I would not recommend to buy these products to someone I mean well.

Every time there is an update I gotta log back in again also I loose all the setups for AirPlay. N I need to do all the stupid things all over again. After the latest update my phone can’t even find my Gold anymore. There is a little chance it will show up in my list when reopen Devialet but it needs to be setup again. Then Devialet just crashes. So now I can only use Bluetooth since I don’t have a cable. It is sad a $3000 speaker can’t have a useable app to support it. Really disappointed!

Like many other reviewers, while I was able to successfully set the speakers up, after the initial use Devialet is unable to reconnect to the speakers. I have to unplug and replug the device back in to get it to work.

I have confirmed it is not an issue with my Wifi, and once the device is reset it has no problem finding and connecting to the WiFi for that first time, but then I re-enter the cycle. Software problem that needs to be fixed ASAP as it makes the speakers unusable.

System was working without issue prior to this release. After upgrade I have had nothing but connection problems. Devialet no longer see the speakers most of the time. When I am connected, music only plays maybe 1/4 of the time. I have to constantly reboot the speakers to get them to play.
So annoying - especially when they were working reliably just a few days ago.

The last update when controlling on your iPhone disconnects from the speakers. You have to delete Devialet and redownload it to resume control of the volume every time I use the speakers. It was great before the last update

Phantom Silver first Generation in Stereo Mode with latest IOS 14.6 update and MConnect HD latest update . Qobuz in 24bit 192khz download speed at 500 megabytes still unstable.
The sync from the master speaker to the left speaker have cutouts
of music.
The only stable music on Qobuz with Mconnect is 16bit 44khz.
The new Dos 2.13.2 or future versions should not limit 24bit 96 khz.
Just of curiousity why dont we have chromecast audio enabled in
Phantoms of all generations,If we had chromecast we could just cast our audio directly from Qobuz rather than use UPNP which is not safe anyways.

I’m very lazy, it takes a huge level of frustration to make me leave a review as a warning.

I now have over 8k of phantom gold speakers that barely work.

Do not buy phantom golds, unless you enjoy spending more time rebooting, resetting, etc than you do listening to music.

Or if you love speakers dropping in and out, then go for it.

Do phantom gold speakers sound amazing? I couldn’t say. They don’t play reliably.

They sort of used to be reliable on spark. (Dos 1) I upgraded because I bought the volume knob.

I paired the volume and it caused one of the stereo pair to stop working.

Then the other one stopped.

Split stereo pair then re-create stereo pair works sometimes...not this time. Back to a factory reset.

Ridiculous for what I paid for these.

When will you completely revamp your app and the connectivity of your sound system, listening to customers experience? I have have heard about the poor quality of Devialet 2 years go prior to buying my this app. Since then, I read countless of complaints and it is still a nightmare to connect. I have to reinstall the pie every 3-4 weeks. HELP!! Vos enceintes sont parmi les meilleures au monde et elles sont complètement gâchée par une interface médiocre…. La charrue avant les bœufs au 21 eme sciecle.

There is an app, and it works but what does it do? You cannot connect any streaming service, doesn’t support UPnP, nothing. You can control your volume. Setup your speaker or pair them and that’s it. No MQA or Hi-Res since no support for UPnP. You will have to pay and go with a third party on top of the streaming service for that. Disappointing and not a premium experience at all.

I am delighted that finally Devialet is working as expected. All ok, including multi room, stereo and single speakers. Also very stable. I am super pleased!

Much simpler and easier to use than the old spark app. The only concern that I have is that there is no passcode protection for the airplay. Anybody that is connected to the wifi can use the speakers which gets annoying at times.

Easy to set up. No connection issues. It’s a simple at that works well.

I purchased two speakers (silver phantoms) and the dialogue router five years 2015 ago and then I upgraded them to gold phantoms a couple years later. None of them have really worked very well as a pair until now. The speakers are now great, but the people at this app more time to get the software and interface correct. They are unstable again.

I began noticing a lag between channels shortly after making the conversion to Devialet. The channels are not synchronized causing what sounds like extreme reverb. The speakers are unlistenable. I know Devialet is the problem because I contacted my dealer who told me this app is aware of the problem and is trying to fix it. I contacted the Support and they asked me Devialet version I was using and haven’t heard a peep since

Upgraded Phantom Classic with DOS2 and had to use Devialet.
App installed and recognized the device. Firmware upgrade went smooth.
App is responsive.

Devialet on my phone keeps forgetting the phantom reactor, I find myself having to redo the setup (for the 4th time already). Am not sure if powering off the reactor is the cause - but I don’t think it should be.

Airplay 2 was launched years ago. Basically all major audio equipment manufacturers have been shipping AirPlay 2 products. Been promised forever but still not coming... thinking about reselling those speakers now.

Latest version of Devialet just crashes on opening. Tried deleting and reinstalling. It doesn't work.

Downloaded the update. Now airplay doesn’t work. The people who make these speakers have no idea how to write software . Total joke of a product

You’d think that a $3000 speaker would have decent software. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t.

Where do I begin as Devialet is so abysmal.
Spark hasn’t been updated in a year and my system ( two phantom silvers and dialog) had been more unreliable. Therefore I was happy to see the new app.
Downloading and upgrading took a couple of hours.
Now basically nothing works. Spotify connect indicates connected but no sound. Same for Sonos through Sonos connect.
Bluetooth worked initially then stopped though mysteriously went on when I was playing a Bluetooth speaker in the shower.
Then right speaker disappeared.
How can the coding be this bad.
This is expensive equipment and after 3 years this app still can’t figure out how to write software.
This is a zero star piece of crap as the system is now unusable.
Forgot add that the volume control doesn’t work.

Update
With latest update speakers now connect online with Spotify. The volume control now works and is quite nice.
So why only giving it 2 stars? Because one of the speakers will intermittently drop out. Happens both with online and Bluetooth but maybe more with online. Fix this and app is 4 stars. Also appreciate no longer needing dialog.

I have owned phantom gold speakers for 18 months, the sound quality and hardware is absolutely without question amazing!!! unfortunately that’s where the excellence ends....

For much of the last 18 months I have had nothing but problems with software, i am at over 100 emails back and forth between customer services and myself, the latest update DOS2 has helped, but I had no speakers operating for months waiting for DOS2 update. For a US$10k speaker system it has fallen FAR FAR short of my expectations. Case number #224908

Update DOS2 has fixed a lot of issues, and initially the remote, but again the remote is dropping out of connection, used to drop out after 10 min, now it takes a day. (Before you ask! New batt, line of sight, 3.5m away)
