I have a phantom and love it so I naturally ordered these buds. They have not worked well since day one. They don’t connect to my iPhone without issue. One bud losses all its charge. I am unable to update the firmware and there are errors when I try to do so. I am not sure if the left bud simple does not hit the contacts correctly. But after charging it over night yesterday. I find that the left bud has zero charge today. I was charging it to update the firm ware but since it’s not charged I must wait. These bud were not ready for prime time and had too many bugs to have been released. I would like my money back or at least someone to tell me what I am doing wrong so they will work.

I jumped the gun on these headphones because I love the brand, but both these headphones and the phantom have trouble connecting to my phone. App doesn’t know when headphones are in or out of the case, there are dead ends in DevialetGemini experience without explanation (like when trying to install an update), some of the content in the webview is in French and table layouts are broken. Took me about 3 hours and multiple failures (and an app crash) to set up the headphones. Great sound, not so great digital experience.

It’s almost unbelievable how broken my experience has been: failure to update the firmware on one ear, random volume changes, multiple Bluetooth devices appearing, inability to switch between computer / phone, and many other issues. Be careful until the team resolves the issues. A the premature launch.

I could vote 0 if allowed. They sold piece of garbage for 299 USD. I wish they had tested at least by a toddler before releasing these earbuds and the software into the wild.

I like devialet o have phantom gold , i have beats , B&O and BW and i wanted to try this out , what a dispointmen sound is super cantelation and transparancy super , bu aleays hustel to update to conect to recharge , move app install app repair reconect etc
Any way your choice for 300€

The headphones sound great they’re very detailed and I love them but there is no volume control on them whatsoever which makes it extremely annoying

App is very simple to use, without any fancy or hard to master function. I particularly like the fact that when the earbuds are connected to a source, like a Bluetooth transmitter connected to my TV, I still can use the mobile app to control the audio settings of the earbuds, like for instance the equalizer and so I can get the best audio experience, or I can disable the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) so I can hear the surrounding noise (e.g., door bell). Beside the mobile app, the Devialet Gemini earbuds have a phenomenal quality, with a great audio, and for a long listening period of time, and without causing any fatigue or discomfort.

Poor performance

So far all is good.. regarding the ease of using the earbuds and DevialetGemini .

The sound, however, is AMAZING. I’m very impressed with the amount of bass that these little earbuds are able to generate!!!

I’ve wanted to use earbuds for awhile, but until now I wasn’t able to find a pair that:
1. Didn’t fall out of my ears
2. Were comfortable
3. Produced the quality of sound that I desired after having gotten used to high end over ear headphones
4. Actually produced BASE with enough depth that allowed me to enjoy my favorite hip hop/ jazz/ binaural beats and everything in between.
5. Not only didn’t fall out of my ears, but feel secure enough where I’m not constantly worrying about them falling out, and having to adjust them…. Like those white ones that apple tried to create - but don’t even come close to these fine earbuds.

Thank you Devialet!! I’ve finally found (or rather- you’ve designed) the earbuds I’ve been searching for!!!

By the way - I just want to mention that I was not compensated in any way for this review. I’m always skeptical when I read reviews because the amount of paid for or compensated reviews now sadly far exceed the number of “real” reviews!

These earbuds sound incredible. Great sound from such tiny buds. But, what really sold me in them was the great ANC. I drive a dump truck with windows open most of the day. I need a decent pair of ANC earbuds to drown out the engine noise and wind noise. I have tried most of the high end wireless earbuds for their ANC abilities. Before the Gemini arrived, the Sony XM3’s were my daily earbuds because of their advanced ANC. Until, the Gemini’s arrived. I couldn’t believe the difference!
The XM3’s did very well but, I did have to go past mid volume to be able to hear podcasts. And, for whatever reason, when a call came in, the ANC would deactivate, requiring me to take one out and put the phone up to my ear. But, with the Gemini, the ANC is next level. At highway speeds, the roaring engine is barely a purr. But, the sound quality is fantastic. I actually have to turn down the volume to less than half! HOW IS THIS HAPPENING FROM EARBUDS?! One of the cons against the XM3’s was that since they stuck out a bit from the ear, the wind moving through the truck’s cab would be ‘caught’ by them and I’d have to turn up the volume to offset. Since the Gemini are smaller and basically sit within the ear, there’s no more wind noise. Received my first call on them and, the ANC stayed on! What a welcome surprise. I spoke in a quiet manner to test how well the mics would counter the noise during a call. Sure enough, they heard me perfectly. When I saw them in person, I asked if they could tell I was in my truck. They said no. That it sounded like I was standing at a bit of distance from a truck that was idling. We were both surprised when I told him that I was in my truck and driving during the call. I couldn’t believe how he heard me.
DevialetGemini is solid too. It has all the necessities of modern earbud customization such as figment test, equalizer, remaining battery info, etc. And all in a well layer out manner.
My half-star deduction comes from two small nitpicks that I hope Devialet is working on. The initial connection to your phone is different than any other Bluetooth earbuds I’ve tried. I emailed them for help and the next day one of the reps sent me an email with step by step instructions on how to properly pair them. I later learned that this was all explained in the instructions. I just didn’t read them. 🙃 My second nitpick is that I occasionally (once every five times) have to place them back in the case when attempting to pair to get them both to get sound. They’ll connect, both showing ‘Connected’ in the Bluetooth menu, but only one side will have sound. So far, only way I’ve found to fix the issue is to put them both back in the case and put them back on. They instantly work afterwards. Small hiccup but, needs to be mentioned. Hopefully it’s just mine and can be fixed with a firmware update.
Overall, I LOVE these earbuds. Exceed what I needed from a pair of ANC earbuds and, without sacrificing in other areas.

Ok I had a very rough start ith my gemini. Getting them updated was like pulling teeth. After messing arround for an hour I got it and they are PERFECT now. I bet these had beta firmware on them as it did not seem release ready out of box but after updates it is rock aolid and DevialetGemini works GREAT. The eq and audio adjustments just work!

Fix the early adopter bugs and its 5 star!

App won’t find the headphones with them open next to it. DevialetGemini won’t update the headphones once they do find them in DevialetGemini , and no audio comes from the headphones when connected, it comes from my phone speaker. Wondering why my AirPods work/connect so much better?

Great app and the Gemini truly wireless are the way truly wireless buds should sound and operate… I had auditions them when they first came out , but I had issue with updates so I return,but this second pair they must have tweeted something because they came with the update already,and they sound better than any truly wireless I have used,and the list is long. Ie … apple pro beats even the new headphones by apple… sennheiser just to mention a few… these are the end game. Trust me
