Biometrics keep failing during login since the past 2-3 months. It takes forever to load the data with errors like Session invalid, session no longer valid, streamer loading and what not!
If someone needs to open or close positions on the go, tastytrade seems unreliable. Have been a loyal customer because of the live content but tastytrade is making me wanna move to thinkorswim.
Please make the UI crisp and fix that heavy clumsy tech

The watchlist buttons just look so bad now. And why can’t we select which things we want to see on our positions. I have Days total and Delta as my first 2 displays. How are we even supposed to change that now? I’m disappointed the UI continues to make small incremental changes instead of making it simpler and cleaner. While Robinhood stinks as a company, they set the pace for user interface. I just wish tastytrade would take some lessons.

1. Hard To Borrow notice on underlying 2. If I’m creating a closing order but pop out to check my tracking sheet, when I come back it’s changed the order from close to open. Have to delete a leg and put the same leg back on. 3. If you choose a sound for the desktop version, you don’t have any on the mobile. 4. I cannot read items that are red against the black background! These are the ones I can think of right now.

PLEASE, PLEASE bring back the ability to look for a certain underlying on the trader page. It’s a way to see how trades evolve!

The options trade page has a huge “review and send” button (waste of space) but the text that displays the credit/debit (and other useful stuff) is so small it’s unreadable. Put the total credit/debit inside the button or do something else.

Too many clicks to enter a trade. First click on symbol from watchlist brings up a useless menu and separate trade button that you need to click again(why?). Just make it one menu.

Start-page when you open tastytrade is the search bar with keyboard open. Why? Make it the watchlist or position tab.

Can’t add/withdraw money from the mobile app, have to use website.

The apps itself is sometimes difficult to navigate. Sometimes it is difficult to change things or get back to where you started. Sooner or later it does the job though, it just takes a few tries and hopefully no mistakes before you go to sell or buy. I really like how intuitive the program is though, it makes life easy.
Tastey works itself doesn’t seem to have any live person actually working customer help. It is next to impossible to actually find a number for them. Most email communication has been answered in less then 24 hours though.
The prices are pretty good on the site or are at least better then others.

- Position closing new features are a pain for fast closing entry. I lost lot of money with new design. Either bring back the old version or no need for profit entry %. Take directly to listing.
- Replace transaction from activity page has bug. Many times the transaction not properly replaced. Many times I lost money.
- Last please don’t release tastytrade update in the middle of trading hours. That scares me with my sitting trades
- Tastyworks I enjoyed the best. But these app updates are making me thinking of other alternatives. Losing money because of tastytrade issues is not fun.

App works great, I like multiple leg selection side by side compare to Webull and Robinhood but has issues and nice to have below enhancements

- Profit charts and text before buy is missing compare to web app..
- It would be good to breakeven chart before buying..
- some times it lags fetching prices, we need to restart app to get it work..

I love this brokerage, I love the company. App is usable has some glitches. At the end of the day, they’ve never had a day where you can’t trade because the markets are too busy (like Robinhood). I’ve never had downtime and these people are great. This is the best brokerage.

While I love the platform the support service is beyond any other I have dealt with in my 20+ years of trading on several other platforms.

Efficient, effective, and customizable. I recommend this for everyone looking to manage their options/futures portfolio.

Best trading app I’ve come across! They are constantly improving tastytrade , and although you pay fees and commissions you get a ton of value from the this app service! 10/10, life changing!

Listen, tastytrade isn’t perfect but it keeps getting better. All I want to do is EASILY trade options, futures and the occasional stock with a broker who lets me do what I want with technology that’s fast and not bloated. Thanks Tasty.

1) on click of search tastytrade closes in iPad.
2) the portrait rotation orientation doesnt show the menu, is this a setting to change, if not please fix it.

This is the best app for trading options, bar none.

Understandably the mobile app will have limited usefulness for research/analysis. The Desktop trading application is great for analyzing option strategies, and other research features are improving with every update.

Tasty’s support is top notch; several calls to their phone support team were picked up quickly and issues resolved almost immediately.

Not to mention this app, which is a solid free resource for trading education and trade ideas.

Delightful app, packed with functionality. Tuned for option trading. Beautifully integrated follow trades. Just the right amount of features (compared to Thinkorswim, which is the only true competitor but is overly complex. The only weakness tastytrade has is charts, which are as bare bones as it gets. You’ll find that even if you prefer to trade in Robinhood or some other commission-free app, you’ll use tastytrade to set up the trades first. It’s excellent.

While I trade professionally on tastytrade right now I sure wish some improvements could be made: one-click trading like on the desktop, easier making of Target + Stop brackets, automatically getting rid of replacement trades once prices have hit your original Target limit (ie, no need to exit your trade with the replacement market order because you just got out), getting rid of wash trade notifications when you are scalping…

tastytrade continually asks me to either use Face ID to login or to use my iPhone security pin to login. I have tried logging in using both and have been rejected. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling tastytrade only to be blocked again upon attempted login. I am able to login through a web browser using my user / pass without any issue. This is an app glitch. It will just keep scanning your face over and over again (or repeatedly asking for your security pin over again) without ever logging you in. The only way to exit this cycle is to close tastytrade and open it again.I would give 0/5 rati g since person is not even able to login.

I’ve been using this company for years and I’m back to trading frequently now, sometimes daytrading futures or whatnot. The Face ID issue was known so I let that slide for a while. It’s been a month or so, still not fixed. Fine. But when It crashes as I switch between viewing different stocks, when the bid/ask prices don’t show up, or pressing tabs don’t work (trade, portfolio, watchlist, etc), then I’m switching companies. It’s happening too often now. Several times a day. This is ridiculous. With all the mobile trading going on, they really need to fix this issue.

The screenshots look amazing. I would LOVE to be able to try tastytrade but given that this glitch is present it makes me wonder what other glitches may be present in tastytrade in more critical areas. A glitch during login doesn’t lose me money but a glitch mid trade would be a huge problem.

Sorry for the horrible review guys, I love your stuff and would love to jump on board with tastytrade. Hopefully the 1 star review will grab your attention so that this can get resolved quickly. Happy to revise this review once issue has been fixed.

I’m not even able to log in. I have a complex password. A very complex password. So complex, I use 1Password so I don’t have to remember it. In order for me to log in, I would need to first copy the password from 1Password and then paste it into the apps login screen. But I can’t because the password field is so low that the keyboard hides the password field and I can’t scroll the window up or double-tap to paste the password in.

Second, Why limit the iOS app to an iPhone size and layout? Yes I can download it to my iPad, but I would then need to double tastytrade size to fill the iPad screen. And there is no landscape mode either, (as far as I can tell because I can’t log in.)

Please correct these two glaring issues. As of right now I can only delete tastytrade from my device as it serves no purpose.

After I upgraded,
1. My previous app settings are gone!
2. Cannot sort in the portfolio

Feature requests: (I am on 1.6.3 iOS)

1) it will be super helpful that I could sort my options position based on the expiration date in the portfolio tab.

2) please make the “Log Ou” button smaller. You don’t want your users to log out:)

3) can we have additional tab button if the screen size is bigger. I found “portfolio” “watchlist”, “trade” and “activity” are very useful. But it only allows three buttons in the tab. I even bought a plus phone with larger screen but it still only allows three btns.

Bug report: (1.6.3):

1) The P&L value in the portfolio tab displays a totally wrong value and then flashes to the correct value.

Please fix it. I am on iPhone 7 Plus and iPad prod.

3. Go to watchlist and select another one to trade
4. It crashes

I absolutely love the tastyworks desktop app and use it for all of my options trading, but this mobile app is absolutely terrible. Like, one of the worst UI’s imaginable to do very simple tasks. Please please please please do an overhaul of tastytrade; it’s virtually impossible to trade solely within tastytrade . I find myself having to switch between thinkorswim and tastytrade just to get any inkling of charting capability and live options pricing.

Please, tastyworks. Please. This is the last thing you need to do to perfect your user experience. The lack of functionality and proper UI/UX design is making me want to switch platforms when I’m mobile, and that’s just annoying. Love the tastyworks ecosystem and you guys are doing great work, but please pay attention to your mobile app – thinkorswim is miles ahead of this.

Today I was informed I have a PDT margin call on my account even though my account today is well over $28k. The required maintenance is $25k. When I called I was rudely greated.., actually this is nothing new. I've noticed a pattern in TW agents not being very courteous or show any appreciation or regard for me as a customer. Makes me feel unappreciated for my business. Huge deal breaker. Anyways getting back to the issue I called about, I was told their settlement company marked down the value of one my stock option which is why my account total was marked down to $20k arbitrarily . However their computer system still registers my account total as $28k. I've been a trader for over 23 years and I've never seen this level of incompetence. I'll try out TW for several more months just to give them a fair trial. So far I'm not impressed and definitely not happy. I still have the bulk of my holdings with TD Ameritrade. I was hoping TW could be my new home. Looks like I may need to continue my search for a better trading Brokerage.

I was going to transfer to TW after all the hype about low commissions and great technology. Of course I had to check out tastytrade first before making the move. Well, unfortunately, I am hugely disappointed! It is completely unusable. At first glance, tastytrade looked great and easy to use. However, my enthusiasm quickly soured when it would not let me set my strikes in a simulated trade. The navigation on the trade page has to work flawlessly and efficiently. Ugh! It was extremely frustrating! I realize when an app is upgraded there may be a few bugs. That being said, it looks to me this upgrade was released without much testing beforehand. You might get away with this on a game app, but for serious option traders it should not be tolerated. I am sure TW will fix these bugs in due time, but I have to wonder about next upgrade after this one and the one after that. So for now, I will stay with my current broker and continue to watch TW to see if they establish a prolonged culture of excellence before I transfer my account.

Landscape mode is not fully supported or recognized on an iPad Pro 12.9” model with an external keyboard. tastytrade always starts in portrait mode even if you have the iPad in landscape mode because its attached to an external keyboard. While parts of tastytrade will be responsive and display correctly, other parts will still be assuming you are in portrait mode even though you are in landscape.
TW has a trading philosophy which they expect everyone to use and they tailor the apps they have solely for that trading methodology. If you want to trade and need charts, go somewhere else. You will likely have to have another account like at TD Ameritrade to get the charting you want or need. I don’t mind TW pushing their trading ideology, but perhaps they could broaden the scope of their apps to be more useful to every trader who uses them as a brokerage. Why not make a world-class great app instead of forcing customers to adapt to their particular world-view of trading? Imagine trying to trade without a chart with flexible timeframes, and you can easily be uncomfortable trading with this platform.

I’ve been using Tastyworks for the past couple of months and so far its been an excellent app. It is intuitive, user friendly, clean and most importantly functional. However, the last update causes an irritating glitch where it crashes each time I open tastytrade the first time after setting up my own table. After the initial crash it then opens up to the default table setup and setting up my own table again causes the same issue. Please fix this. Happy trading!

Great app. I like the clean interface. As with any trading app, complexity is to be expected, so it takes a little time to get used to navigating it. Lots of things are customizable, so you can adjust the details to your own liking. Great order execution and the speed of data feed. The portfolio tab could be organized a little better. I feel things are a little redundant there. It also would be nice if tastytrade could switch between landscape and portrait modes. Right now it only supports portrait mode. Overall, great little app that can almost entirely replace the desktop program when you have no access to your computer.

For being the new kid on the block this software is creeping up to par with thinkorswim. I can already see it this being a very, very, powerful platform for options traders. Although this platform is tailored mainly to options traders, they do offer trading for stocks and futures. These folks offer such an amazing commissions system that I don’t think ANYONE can turn down. One small gripe that I’m sure will get worked out eventfully with the desktop app as well as the mobile app is I can’t seem to add a personal watch list of stock I want to watch. Other then that this platform is simply amazing.

I trade multiple times per day, and have been for the past 2 years. I normally trade on a desktop but when I'm on the road of course I need a mobile app to trade. The tastyworks mobile app is incredible, it's clean, easy to use and very fast. I love their work, their team is the best in the industry, unlike no other. If your not using tastyworks your behind the 8 ball. I have highly recommend the tastyworks app and will continue to do so. Thank you for all the work you do for us and the content and technology you provide!

Genuinely impressed with tastytrade!. Being able to transfer the incredible technology that is Tastyworks seamlessly into an app is quite the task, but I have to say they did a job well done. Finally, the mobile trader does not have to sacrifice much by trading on the go! Hopefully table mode gets added soon but curve view is sufficient for the time being. I just love being able to make complex trades from my phone. It's crazy.

I see reviews griping about tastytrade but i don't get why. This is a first version of an incredibly powerful platform. Personally, I love it. The desktop platform is my go to but this enables me to trade on the go when opportunity presents itself or simply monitor my positions with probability metrics nobody else provides. Most likely those complaining have no idea the complexity of developing a financial application where money is at stake. I have experienced 0 bugs and am very much looking forward to the team building this out in future versions. Haters gonna hate but these devs are no joke. I am a dev myself and can see the amazing work they have done in such a short amount of time. Love it and cant wait to see where it goes from here.
