I found FOREWARN to provide very little value. Most of the numbers that calls are received from are spam or unregistered, leading to frequent dead-end searches. Additionally, they require a 12-month contract, which is not clearly advertised but hidden in the fine print. This is a poor business practice, especially for a service that should not demand such a long-term commitment. If you no longer find value in the service or your business needs change, you should be able to cancel without being locked into a lengthy contract. Furthermore, FOREWARN feels outdated. I expected to be able to update information like billing directly within FOREWARN , but instead, this information is provided in a PDF at signup, and any changes must go through customer support. Overall, I found FOREWARN to be useless and a waste of money.

After months of reviews expressing this, you would think you would address the issue. I appreciate what one person recently said about needing to contact the company first.... the problem is that you just have to figure that out on your own. Where’s your process to sign up? Who does that these days? I went to the website, and it says for agents to subscribe, click here; then it directs you to a non-functioning page that is for “SignNow” document signing app. Seriously?! FOREWARN was recommended to us in a class. This is really great, but if you can’t get it together with the simple process of activating it, it makes one wonder just how accurate and functional FOREWARN is once you do get access to it.

Just set up FOREWARN provided by our State Association. Thought this is perfect for another layer of protection. Like another subscriber commented, I wanted to try out a number. After putting in my husbands cell number I WAS SHOCKED. Absolutely none of the information was pertinent to him. 1) he is not a female 2) he has not lived at any of the 21 addresses given 3) he doesn’t own or has owned any of the 5 vehicles listed. Will this be corrected? Can I trust FOREWARN is trustworthy? Very disappointed.

I just happened to use this app on my personal phone number. It showed 10 criminal infractions of varying, troubling, and horrible arrests. These were attached to me even though none were true. Clearly defamation, embarrassment and false claims.
I have reached out to this app and they shown absolutely no concern in clearing up this matter. I have been devastated, and just beginning to find out all of the harm they have caused me.

I have an active subscription. Everything was working just fine and yesterday I saw an update in my apps tab so I clicked to update. Now when I open it, it says “no internet connection” and I am clearly on WiFi. So I try to login anyways and the screen shuts down and goes away. I shut my phone down and everything...still no luck. Can’t get in.

I like FOREWARN mostly but feel it’s a bit expensive for what it does and the info isn’t always accurate at all. One feature that would be nice is the ability to add a looked up person into our phones contact list.

FOREWARN allows us to verify someone’s identity prior to completing a showing for sales and property management and is great for verifying references for potential tenants during the application process

I have caught several scammers who is fake names for their employer and for their previous landlord. When we contacted the number provided both the landlord and the employer gave great reviews of the potential tenant. When I ran the phone numbers in this app for the employer and the landlord, the phone came back register to the same person with a different name given on application. The tenant was a scammer with fake drivers license and they were having people pose as there landlord and employer

Great tool

This is really great because as realtors, we get so many calls that are Spam and people trying to sell us junk and that are using Google phone numbers, etc. this allows me to cut right through that and see if the person is the person they say they are and also for safety reasons to make sure that you don’t put yourself in any dangerous position by taking someone to go see a home by yourself that you don’t know and that has a criminal record

All of the little bells and whistles that was given to real estate agents by their board of realtors, this little app is by far the best. It keeps real estate agents safe and gives them an upfront semi profile of clients before we meet them. Keep up the good work.

So glad I have FOREWARN to “this app” me on those I’ll be dealing with for the first time. Safety is priority in this business, as well as our fiduciary duty, however, being a Realtor alone in homes with someone you have never met can be a bit intimidating. FOREWARN prepares you going in and makes the job of showing homes and dealing one on one with your client much more enjoyable knowing you have peace of mind!

I have used a number of apps in the past and the database they have is top of the line. I can’t recommend this enough!

Such a great tool to screen potential customers! Easy to use, info is well laid out and found to be accurate and up to date in most instances.

Now, every time I go in it says “Updated Verizon” available and won’t let me do anything until I click on it and the same thing happens over and over. Very frustrating!

Love FOREWARN. Realtors are vulnerable. Running a criminal history check gives me the ability to make an informed decision as to who I will work with. After 17 years in the business, I finally feel I can move forward in confidence when meeting new clients. I check EVERY new contact. Understand you first need to contact the company to set up your account. They need to see you are a realtor in good standing first, then you can use FOREWARN . A logical requirement since this is sensitive information we are looking at.

So tired of getting robo calls from numbers that I don’t know - but don’t want to miss a legitimate call

Each number I am unfamiliar with I check on this app - if it end up being someone I know then I return the call

It’s saved me a number of times

Love that it also gives me an idea of who I’m dealing with and their home address which is always not the easiest question to ask when you first speak to somebody!!

I appreciate being able to look up and find out peoples home address if they have problems with the credit and all the information in this app gives me

Im a Realtor and have been since 1997. I have had several bad situations happen.
Being able to look up a customer to see if they have a record has saved me more than once. I feel much safer.

This has become such an essential tool in my real estate business. I know I did it for years, but now I can’t imagine working without the ability to quickly verify prospects using FOREWARN.

If it wasn’t for the ability to check on some potential customers who I was going to show a empty house too, I know I would have been in a not so good predicament. Thank you for Forewarned!!

I have FOREWARN as a realtor for my safety but used it to check the background of my dad’s home health aid and it showed some very concerning criminal history from a number of years ago that the service provider didn’t even know about!

Love FOREWARN and the service that comes with it. Meet me at the office for a consultation doesn’t come into play as you would expect. As busy as people are it isn’t feasible or convenient. Robert Gazda was always available to answer my questions. Very helpful, always called me back and got the answers I needed. Went above and beyond what I expected. I absolutely love FOREWARN. It really helps distinguishing who you’re working with prior to jumping into anything. I think it’s wise to know who you’re dealing with especially when your gut tells you something doesn’t seem right. Your life is way more important than anything else. I couldn’t be any more grateful for FOREWARN!!

Love FOREWARN ! All was working well until just after a year. Would not recognize my password - would not let me reset it either. Got on my laptop and it recognized me and my password. Called their number and did get a call back and the gal indicated they were having issues with app and to delete it and reinstall it. Will try that.

It worked fine at first, but now it won’t let me login. I can log in from my laptop just fine. I don’t always have my laptop with me. I’ve tried uninstalling FOREWARN and the same thing happens.

UPDATE:
Apparently my phone is too old. I have an iPhone 6 Plus. The work around is to log in from phone’s web browser and then it works. I created a bookmark and saved it to my homepage.

Being able to look up a potential clients background has saved me from meeting folks with questionable and violent criminal records. It also helps to understand the persons financial ability to purchase. It has enabled me to offer financial counseling to folks who have a bankruptcy in their background, and retain the most clients until they can get their credit scores higher. A very good investment for my safety and my family’s peace of miND.

As a real estate agent it’s always good to be able to have something that gives you a little bit more information from a potential client just by their phone number. Great app
