All you do is turn on your camera then pick witch one it is and Connect the phone to the cameras and Internet turn the Wi-Fi on on your camera it will say a password and the Internet name go onto your phone and go onto that Internet and then put in that password that is available on the camera screen. Then you can see all of the pictures and videos . You can also see what your camera is capturing right then and there so easy to set up like I said just turn on camera the tap on the right model of camera that is the same as your this is the ONLY one that works I was sitting there for three hours trying to find out what app to use and how to do stuff like that but then I found AKASODV then it took two seconds

I’m using AKASODV to connect and transfer videos and so far couldn’t download them to my iPhone. There are several issues while doing it. App crashes most times, or the downloads are very slow or the downloads fail abruptly or download never starts.

The hardware is cheap compared to current GoPros but it is more like the Hero4 or 5 in terms of the camera. AKASODV on the other hand is not usable. I frequently can’t connect to the camera. When I do if either the phone or camera are not constantly touched to stay active you loose the connection. This would not be so bad but reconnecting the system re downloads all the videos and you end up with a mess of duplicates to delete. If you plan to use your phone to share video do your self a favor and get a different brand of camera as this application is not makes the system unusable for those on the go.

I give AKASODV 4/5. I only use AKASODV to download the raw videos directly from the SD card when I am abroad. It’s over WiFi so it’s not that fast, but it is exactly what I am looking for. I can also download my DJI footage over the built in app as well. This is faster than DJIs software. Sometimes connecting to the WiFi is difficult, but once it connects it is solid. I usually leave my phone and camera plugged in for an hour and can transfer over 4gb of footage in that time.

I think this is a very good app. It works in all areas except one-importing videos and pictures to your device. Whenever I download a long video to my iPad, it takes a while and some times either the camera or your device dies and it doesn’t finish. AKASODV thinks the video is already imported, but it is not and when I recharge the device or camera, It immediately says its already imported so it doesn’t import it again. I never get those videos imported ever. Please fix.

When I try to take videos through AKASODV it crashes. When I try downloading a video it crashes. Sometimes it will say “video not supported” when I try to view the videos I already recorded. If I close AKASODV and open again it is flawless for 10 seconds.
When I push the camera shutter button on AKASODV it has a loading sign that stays there...then AKASODV crashes.
Trying to mount it to a drone and see through my mobile app.

Wasn’t worth the camera purchase. Is there another app that is compatible with this camera?

Bought this for a drone recovery mission to mount on a pole looking down to scan a wooded area without having to fight my way in first. Pretty much useless to me in that respect when the WiFi view is only 1/4 of the screen. It does work though, and video looks good but it’s pretty irritating there’s not a full screen button when you’re viewing the camera in real-time.

I can see how this platform tries to give u more usability with the camera but inconsistencies within the framework of AKASODV is something that the company hasn’t been trying to fix actively and for the price paid for any akaso product (i got the v50pro) the user should be able to at least be able to download more than the pictures, still havent been able to download a video to my own device, it either crashes restarts or downloading never really goes there. Dissatisfied.

This is in no way a reflection of the camera itself but AKASODV is absolute garbage. Downloaded today and connected my iPhone to it to download pictures/videos. After downloading 3 pictures, AKASODV crashes. Trying to play a video from AKASODV and it, it crashes. Tried to download videos to my phone and guess what? You guessed it, AKASODV crashes. Why even put something out that OBVIOUSLY DOES NOT WORK! Just pull the card and move them over that way. This thing is complete garbage all the way around.

I’ve noticed when recording through AKASODV that the recording stops intermittently. This is a problem when mounting the camera in higher places and needing to use AKASODV the see my viewing angle and then recording. If you manually press the record button on the camera recording is uninterrupted. There must be a recording bug with AKASODV . AKASO Please fix with update.

I’ve followed the directions, the camera says “WiFi Connected” and says to press the up button to disconnect. However, my iPhone still shows that I’m connected to LTE (not WiFi) and AKASODV continues to say ‘please go to system settings to open WiFi’ when I press connect. I’ve restarted my phone a couple of times, disconnected from WiFi & this particular network multiple times. Why won’t it connect? It’s a Brave 6 model.

If I could rate AKASODV with zero stars I would. I’ve been using AKASODV for one day and have come to the conclusion that it is totally worthless. It crashes more than a drunken blind person driving backwards in New York City during rush hour. I have attempted to download the videos from my V50 Elite at least 10 times and it crashes every time. It also crashes almost every time I change functions. The bad thing is I’m not sure which one has crashed more...AKASODV or the V50 itself.

Overall the camera is great, high quality photos and videos. I use this in place of my GoPro because it visually is one of the better cameras on the market. Problem is AKASODV and software. Constant crash, videos don’t save to phone so you can use them. Worst part is that I use this for fishing and my fishing blog and I can’t even upload my stuff half the time. Please fix, you would have a huge increase in users.

The latest update seems to have things working correctly. I just received my camera today, downloaded AKASODV , and it connects fine and displays perfect. Start and stop video from your iPhone. Save video TO your iPhone. I’m digging this little camera and it’s app.

I upgraded to iOS 15.4, and AKASODV will not connect to Brave 4 4k camera via Wi-Fi. Worked perfectly before the iOS upgrade. Will AKASODV be updated to iOS 15.4 compatible? AKASODV was a wonderful remote control for the camera, very useful. Now locks up at “Initialization…”. Useless. Can u fix? Thank you!! Chris

All the negative reviews are accurate. Camera is good, AKASODV is useless. Don’t bother trying to download a video, AKASODV crashes. It’s a basic app with no real purpose. My only question is, why are AKASODV developers not doing anything about it. Is this not one of the reasons for reviews? Is you want to download your videos purchase a class 10 32GB micro SD card “with adapter” plug and play into your computer.

how come you can’t rotate the phone hortizontally ? I use this as a camera on my scooter to see cars behind me. Since it’s not big keeping my phone vertically it will hit the gas tank when i turn. horizontally allows me to still make turns without hitting anything. come on. I have had thus for years and you still haven’t updated that in the ap ?

the upper controls are in the same area of the clock and battery (Apple shouldn’t haven’t approved it) so you have really hard time to access to those functions.

It crashes when changing resolutions. But not every time. The hardware is really sweet for the price but the software is an extreme subpar

Like most, I bought this because the lower cost. Unfortunately it shows why this product is so cheap. It freezes up, unable to upload video from a computer unable to up load from the until to an IPhone 8.

I should have spent the money on a used GoPro and saved the headache.

Do not buy this product. Clearly they have no intention to fix any of these issues.

This was a gift from my uncle and it is very good camera for the price! I enjoyed using it , I recommend to a friend who was looking for a good price and good camera instead of the gopro price he thanks me later!
