GoPlus Cam Reviews

GoPlusCam connects to my Pruveeo F5 dash cam just fine. I’m able to adjust settings for the camera without having to press its tiny buttons on my windshield. GoPlusCam also made mounting my camera a lot easier as I could stream the cam’s video live to my phone during alignment. I also love the ability to download videos straight to the camera roll as this could prove useful at the scene of a wreck. GoPlusCam isn’t super intuitive, but it works.

What I would love to see:

- ABILITY TO SCRUB THROUGH A VIDEO’S PLAYBACK. If I just want to see a certain part of my drive before downloading I don’t want to have to press play and wait for the video to get to that point, I just want to skip to that part quickly.

- ABILITY TO DOWNLOAD 1080p VIDEOS TO THE PHONE. Currently I can only download 720p straight to my camera roll. If I wanted to capture and save 1080p videos I have to take out the SD card and upload it to my PC. It would be nice to download it straight to camera roll just like 720p.

- FASTER DOWNLOAD TIMES. It currently takes around 5 minutes to download a 3 minute, 720p video to my phone. Granted these videos are >300MB, it would still be nice to see download speeds improved within GoPlusCam if at all possible.

In all honestly I didn’t expect much from this camera when purchasing it. I was even more skeptical when I seen the poor star reviews for GoPlusCam.

I tried it out anyway and I’m glad I did! Setting up the camera was easy. Connecting it to GoPlusCam was SUPER EASY!! Especially compared to popular WiFi cameras such as Blink and Night owl!!!

You can select & change all of the options and settings within GoPlusCam itself. You can see the pictures & videos within GoPlusCam . Change from motion to loop. I’m honestly super impressed considering the price of this thing.

I keep trying to connect my explore one camera as it says to in the instructions and it just won’t connect! It’s so frustrating because I do everything it says and it still won’t connect! I have tried restarting the camera, restarting my phone, deleting and reinstalling GoPlusCam , I’ve tried everything and it’s just not connecting! Everything is just so poorly put together... don’t waste your time and money buy a different camera and use a different app this is just trash!

Do not waste your time with GoPlusCam if you have pruveed F5 dashcam. The idiots at that company removed the wifi feature on GoPlusCam for the F5 dashcam. Which means the video can not be saved off site. Not to mention that if the disabled it on this dashcam, expect they will eventually do it to your model dash cam. I learnd this the hard way when i came super close to getting in to a wreck. I intended on reporting that asshat to the dmv using their unsafe driver complaint form. Anyways. The wifi was disabled by the company. Your F5 model no longer has wifi ability. Enjoy......

As of the current version, 3.0.0 the connection between my dashcam and my phone work fine. I did have to configure my DNS from automatic to manual, add DNAS server “ 1.0.0.0 “ . This enable to me to connect to the dashcam, so it’s a 5/5 stars for me. If you have trouble, as you are “connected but GoPlusCam said you need to connect to the dashcam wifi first, then this might solve it.

Works well for me, I can connect to the wifi camera's network, I'd give 5 stars however the file downloading process takes a while and for some reason, I cannot play it on my phone after being downloaded, it just says download error, could u fix that for IOS? The rest, the camera is a good choice.

I love my camera so much in GoPlusCam because it is a great app for my camera. the two stars are fake because that’s not true that never happened to me and it’s a app for a device if you’re looking at thisYour feedback are long!

Go to settings and go to WiFi then turn your device on to WiFi mode then connect it should give you the password. Once connected go to GoPlusCam and connect and enjoy!

Ps you will have to do this every time you log out of WiFi mode on your camera 😇😇😇😇

Constantly sends me to settlings. Then it says “ find and authorized sport cam Device. Or retry .......”
well I didn’t it all restarted . Reinstalled GoPlusCam . Put it on airplane mode. Changed the dns 1.0.0.0. I checked my location settings. I even checked my connect settlings. And yet, nothing. The worse thing about this is that there is pretty much nothing to help. I am frustrated and beyond annoyed. GoPlusCam IS BEING DELETED AND THE CAMERA GOES BACK IN THE BOX. Heading for eBay for a cheap price. What waste of my time. And lack of support.

Don’t buy any dashcam if you expect to use it with GoPlusCam, this is a garbage app that no longer lets you connect to the camera via their wifi. If you want to see your recordings you are going to physically take the memory card out. GoPlusCam was bad from the start but at least you could see and download video to your phone, now it’s completely garbage and not even worth of 1 start.

Works as expected. Takes a while to download a 3-minute clip, but the %-done indicator shows progress. Remember to start the cam wifi first, then connect your device to that network with default password, then open GoPlusCam . I'd give 5 stars if the loading was faster.

Downloaded for “HD action camera with WiFi”, but following the exact same steps, connects to iPad 1 out of 20 times, and is not capable of downloading video. Makes video recording of camera worthless. Would not recommend app or device, and will remember to avoid anything associated with “Explore One” in the future. Huge waste of time attempting to use bad tech.

I was able to connect to the camera, and I could stream them to my phone (not good streaming), but downloading the videos didn't work. Transferring the videos to my phone was the main purpose of GoPlusCam ! The camera's USB cord only charges and doesn't transfer data, so GoPlusCam was supposed to handle that over WiFi, but it doesn't work. It makes the camera useless if I can't get the videos off it.

I have not used this very much yet but you have to turn your phone into airplane mode and connect it to the camera's wifi or else it will just keep poppong up with a connection error! I saw a random post about this after searching for awhile and it finally work.

Thanks to a comment here, I changed my DNS to Manual and the Server to 1.0.0.0 and now GoPlusCam works with my camera. I'm able to do everything except delete through GoPlusCam , which is fine since it's on loop so will record over old videos eventually.

Seems like there is a problem when connecting to camera with iphone X. Settings says it connected to camera wifi. But when u go back to app. App says cannot find camera. Or no camera connected. Tried with 2 different iphone X and 2 different camera. Same problem.

I’m trying to connect my phone to the Wi-Fi, which it has done but when I go to GoPlusCam to officially make the connection it says it can’t find the Wi-Fi even though I’m connected to it, what’s going on? XS Max is too new? Please update so I could use GoPlusCam

I wish you could control the play back more (faster/slower/next video) and have an easier way to find a specific time, but for the most part it works.

So I’m following instructions ... download the GoPlus app...
start the camera, click to WiFi then click to Camera... a set of alphanumeric comes up
Which I presume is the pairing number ( though there’s more than 8 digits??)

So (back to iPhone) click the login screen of GoPlus then a WiFi symbol comes up... then nothing... click the screen and takes to a settings page but there’s no pairing input request and if you go back it says it couldn’t login.... so I have a pairing number (I think) but NO way to input the pairing number into the IPhone (GoPlus) app...
Not user friendly at allll!

Just bought this sports cam and tried connecting the WiFi on my iPhone and it won’t connect. I go to the settings menu and try to connect it there and when I think it’s working I’ll switch back to GoPlusCam . But every time I try to connect my camera to my phone it always says “connect your sports cam first.” No idea what the problem is

I was so excited when I first got this camera. I could now record all my fun experiences. When I first tried it out The image was super foggy and it kept glitching and Buffering. I do not recommend buying this camera and app. Just pay a little more and get something better.
