The developer did reach out and changed the background option which I really appreciate. I still think offering 1 more payment option would still be helpful. I do take back the greedy part cause apps like these are far and few and I can imagine the amount of work to develop it to be as simple and seamless is very difficult especially as an app. As a designer that works with an international team... ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard is invaluable but I don't use it that often. if it had more designer friendly features, I can easily see myself paying for the annual subscription. Developers....hint, hint

There are some big cons with this. First will be pricing...I like ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard but the pricing is a bit outrageous cause I would only use the sharing feature every once in a while so being forced into a subscription plan or paying close to 50 bucks for the annual is ridiculous imo. Offering another option to pay for those who wouldn't use it regularly would be great. I hate feeling locked into things. My second gripe is the obnoxious glitter background that makes my eyes go blind. I prefer a simple clean look or at least give the user the option to change the background. We're not all kids using this. Also the laser feature is too thick and needs options as well. I think the idea is great, but the price is a bit greedy and it still needs work.

ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard is very well made. It is intuitive and has all the features one would expect from an online whiteboard app. I dare say it’s even better than Microsoft’s Whiteboard app. I say this for two reasons:

(1) The thickness of the pen line can be adjusted to a much smaller size than Microsoft’s, allowing you to zoom in quite a ways and still be able to write with precision.

(2) In my opinion, ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard is much more intuitive. Nuff said.

Despite all the positives, there are one or two things that I would REALLY appreciate seeing in a future update:

(1) The ability to switch on/off or vary the influence of the “auto-smooth” feature when writing/drawing. Although it helps smooth the lines when writing on a large scale, when smaller and finely detailed writing is required, it really screws you up and makes it hard to write with precision. At the moment, Microsoft’s Whiteboard is easier to write precisely with.

(2) This isn’t a huge deal, but the ability to scroll horizontally in addition to vertically (for a true infinite whiteboard) would be a nice feature to add.

That’s all I got. Overall, fantastic app. It does the job well and it’s the best online collaborative whiteboard I’ve found thus far.

Not always having my notebook with me gets frustrating when I can’t well, scribble, my ideas out for later. I haven’t gotten into sharing but that seems a like a beneficial tool in so many ways, even brainstorming with clients. It is quite crude but that’s exactly why it’s great! Easy interface, simple and clean, with an canvas as endless as your thoughts. I LOVE IT. Also handy for ADHD brains like mine. I have to get thoughts out before I forget, and ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard makes it so incredibly simple and fast. And with only a few essential drawing tools it’s easy for a fast brain to get thoughts down. I’ve only reviewed like 2 apps, ever, so I really mean it!

Pro:
Does what it says it does. This helped me still homeschool my child while keeping physical distance from her (I work at a hospital and provide direct care for Coronavirus patients, and now quarantining myself in a separate room from the rest of my family)...

Cons:
1. The monthly price! Like, seriously??
2. For the monthly price, there are limited color options and pen sizes. As a Goodnotes 5 user, I wish they would look at the pen, highlighter, and color options that GoodNotes offers for a ONE TIME PRICE OF $7!
3. This is what irritates me the most: when exporting the files as pdf to turn in the work to my daughter’s teacher, the pdf file is messed up. It adds unnecessary blank pages at the front and the end of the document, and some parts of the document are completely whited out. The scribbles are still present, but some components of the template (for example, some worksheet we were working on) are whited out in different spots.
4. Once again, as a Goodnotes 5 user, the quality/resolution of the scribbles when exported to pdf is so low... Again, this makes the price of ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard so irritating. The handwriting gets pixelated!!!

I hope this helps anyone who is looking to download. I suggest this for temporary needs, but not for more professional needs or anything long term...

This is by far the best white board app I’ve found on the white board so far, but there are a few things that are missing.

First, there should be a way to select the color theme manually. My iPad is always on dark mode, but I’d much rather write on a whiteboard than blackboard. Also, there should be a clear canvas option. I use ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard a lot for jotting down scratch work and it’s really annoying I always need to use the selection tool to clear the canvas. And why does pressing on one of the buttons below open (like the marker button) always open up the additional options? It’s a small thing but it really bugs me; it should be a double tap to open up additional options since I don’t want to see those every time I change from the pen to eraser. If these things are fixed I’d be more than happy to give ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard 5 stars.

I use this for collaborative, remote teaching of small classes in college, and it works great. It updates truly in real time, and the idea of scrolling together is very useful.

The alternative I have tried is Microsoft Whiteboard, but while that might be fine for MS Surface devices, it works very poorly on iPad. For scribble together, there is a web version for Surface devices, and according to my students that also works well.

The only thing missing from my perspective is lined background for pages, but I have managed that by using a lined pdf as background; and the developers gave feedback that lined background are high on the priority list.

ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard is exactly what I needed to be able to write edits on a pdf and then save the edited document as pdf. Thank you!

I did notice one thing that I’m wondering if it can be tweaked: when erasing edits I have made, the original document in Scribble appears untouched, even if I have used the eraser over original text — which is perfect. However, if the document is uploaded as a pdf later on, those eraser marks show, so pieces of the original are almost scrubbed clean in those spots. An easy work around now that I’m aware, and I do plan to keep using ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard! But curious if you are able to change that?

After the update, while ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard opens, as soon as I try to open my boards from my iPad, ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard shuts down. This was a great learning tool for my students but is now no longer an option for me to use in my classroom until ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard functions again.

Developers got back to me right away - updated ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard and away we go! My students and school LOVE IT to the point that we highlighted it on our school Instagram page. Definitely would recommend to all educators out there who are remote learning!

I am a teacher and I’m currently using this with my students in my virtual classroom. I think this has a lot of potential. I love the options where you can upload a file and edit it together. As an English teacher, this is really helpful. I wish it had the option of video calling so I wouldn’t need to have two different tabs and I could see all my students on camera at the same time.

For all the places where you can’t take the white board you have at home, and are just craving a magical white board in your life wherever life takes you. Scribble is that white board that goes everywhere. It’s going on a year now, and I’ve come to love all the features scribble has to offer. Excited what other tricks they might have up their sleeve in the year to come. :)

I REALLY liked ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard! It was amazing to draw with other friends and work together. I really liked it, but I was going to enter it again and it asked me to pay. I obviously said no and when I intended to invite a friend I said I had to pay. I mean! Seriously?! ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard is SUPPOSE to be for friends to work and draw together during this quarantine. But then, what is the point of using ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard if I can’t even draw with my friends. I really liked this... I recommend to make the paying to stop... because then their is no point in getting this if I have to pay to draw with friends. Witch is the POINT of ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard. But the rest of it, is good.

I use Scribble extensively for teaching purposes. It’s more reliable and prettier than LiveBoard or MS Whiteboard, but I’m consistently annoyed at the little things I’m not able to do.

- Cannot change order of whiteboard pages.
- Cannot remove people from the shared whiteboard screen. It’s cluttered with people who I no longer teach.
- Cannot just insert an image. This is so basic!! You can only make a new whiteboard with that image taking up the whole width.
- The eraser is extremely unintuitive. E.g. Selecting and moving an area that has been erased carries over the eraser marks.

If you use ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard often, all these little things you can’t do add up to a frustrating experience. The good news: developers are starting to make changes. Here’s something I used to complain about that has since been fixed:
- Cannot choose whiteboard when using iOS dark mode; I don’t like the blackboard.

My family is trying to use ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard as a “white board” for a hospital patient who isn’t able to speak or text right now due recent procedures. Because visiting hours are so limited, we thought the virtual whiteboard would help supporting family members to know the patient’s needs from afar and ensure the nursing staff are following through.

However, we can’t figure out how to “erase all” on an existing sheet, or how to delete old sheets?

I love ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard it has all the tools I need but I have 1 concern. I know that you can draw straight lines and stuff but can you make it possible to draw perfect letters? That will be great because I have no Apple Pencil or anything like that cool stuff. I tried making block letters but they just won’t go neat. Please add this feature, thanks and please make this update! Thank you!

My girlfriend and I are long-distance and we use ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard for tutoring purposes. As college students, we found it difficult to afford but loved the functionality. It works EXACTLY as advertised.

I contacted the developer who reached back out and was willing to work with us. Will be a long time customer and champion of ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard; recommending it to everyone I know!

I do a lot of online educational work and this digital whiteboard app has been rock solid. The best part is that my students don’t need any bespoke software or hardware. I don’t know of any other app that comes close with Scribble in terms of interoperability and ease of use.

A day does not go by that I do not used ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard. I help all my grandchildren with their schoolwork using Scribble. It is by far the most flawless, convenient and productive collaborative app available. To work with anyone on almost anything is as simple as turning on an iPad. Thank you!

App works good but I’m not able to switch between sheets easily from within the same board. I have to go to main screen and then go back to see the switch. Can you please fix the issue in that part of ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard ?

Super great app, I’ve subscribed for over a year. It really needs the ability to either embed the whiteboard on an external webpage, or create a brandable CNAME for my own site (the pink and purple glitter look is is embarrassing when trying to use this for business). Other than that it works great, I use it weekly for teaching others.

Lines don’t snap straight, circles don’t snap round—I’m on an iPhone 11, iOS 13.4. Any ideas?

Edit: got it, thanks devs. Now it works perfectly 😊 Maybe a slider in a setting somewhere to control the latency to snap?

Tried to see if it would work for tutoring, but ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard won’t let me see more than the first page of any pdf I upload. If I go to the shared site the rest of the pages are clearly there, but I can’t personally see them from the iPad side. All the pages look blank even though on the receiving end it looks like I’m writing over words. Super annoying glitch.

As in: it provides a way to do an interactive whiteboard. Neat!

But, as far as I can tell, you can only scroll up and down. This is a bit problematic when trying to brainstorm complex architectural diagrams. Sometimes, you just want a bit more space on the left/right!

ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard is fun! You can communicate with your friends through art! Not exactly ideal if it is something related to work unless you have an Apple Pencil or similar products

Perfect for drawing remotely with a toddler.

Please add the ability to manually turn on/off dark theme. Otherwise black and white are inverted for different parties and it is confusing.

This is the easiest whiteboard. I can use it with kids I tutor without them getting lost or forgetting their password.

I use ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard so I can tutor students from home. It is very fast and makes tutoring easy.

This is the easiest whiteboard to use. I call my students with Skype and then use this to write on their worksheets.

In my opinion, it is 4/5 stars because it is laggy. It falls behind but rather then that I like it! You can invite friends to join you on your boards! Very fun!

I used this to do math with my uncle. I can take a picture of my homework and we can work on it together. Love ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard!

ScribbleTogetherWhiteboard is wonderful and I have a fun time, but every time I’m doodling with more than two people it crashes on me
