I bought the “remove watermark” IAP and it did it’s wonders for a bit of time but then someone commented about the watermark and it drew attention to me. I solely use VideoEditor the enlarge my videos so they take up my entire Instagram post slot, as opposed to having black bars. The apps honestly horrible for anything else. Slow, choppy, and I’m through with it. I used to watch the ads because it’d help a publisher that was helping me. Now I’m just gonna spend some time looking to get a different one. This is beyond annoying.

This is just yet another garbage app, apparently. Why? If the saving process is longer than the ad, it stops saving when the ad stops, even if by just one second! If the ad is the longer, it won’t save either. It ONLY saves when the process of saving is EXACTLY the same as the length of the ad. Note: in almost every app where there’s a problem, including this one, the problem itself lies in the integration of the ads with the programming. And there aren’t enough incentives for the devs to ever REALLY fix things, as the advertisers control the process, and they get paid/possibly rich regardless. Maybe this is an INCREDIBLY bad arrangement to start with (for the actual development of apps, not the advertisers, who are surely quite fine with it). It’s a racket! Something to think about.

I purchased VideoEditor a year or so ago so that the watermark would go away. I just did a recent update a couple weeks ago and the watermark is back and from the looks I need to repurchase VideoEditor again to get rid of the watermark. I waited a week before writing this comment, as I reached out to them to find out why. Since I haven’t heard back I can assume their customer service is non existent. Honestly would just like to know that you get what you pay for when purchasing an app.

I liked VideoEditor to begin with and would give higher rating than 1 star, if the video editor watermark logo didn’t apply to all of my videos. I don’t know why at some point it started adding the Video Editor logo watermark to everything even though I have paid?! I can’t fix it and have tried messaging VideoEditor but still no luck. So until it’s fix I will not be using this and had to cancel it as I rather not have their logo on my videos.
Hope this is resolved soon. If it is fixed I’ll happily update my review and rating as well as renew my subscription.

I have fully edited videos that won’t save, VideoEditor just keeps saying network error if I try to send feedback… extremely mad because I have fully edited 15 minute videos that may now be garbage because of a stupid app! I’m livid, don’t get this if you actually want to have to save your footage. I’m having to screen record everything just to make sure I don’t lose it. Then I’ll have to use a different app just to re-edit it…. If anyone sees this from the company, I paid money for this. I need help!

I wanted to give it this video editor a try for a short video I made of the pink moon. There was some cool music options with the trial so I WAS pretty happy with it. Then when I tried to render the video the final saved version looked NOTHING like what I created. I emailed the company that I didn’t want to get billed for VideoEditor after the trial but I haven’t received a response. I tried cancelling in my app ID but there wasn’t an option to cancel like other apps. Now I’m getting billed for an app that doesn’t work properly 😣 and good luck getting a refund!

VideoEditor seems promising, but could use some work. When I tried to edit a second video, the clip wouldn't load and VideoEditor kept crashing. I then decided to use a shorter clip. The preview for the second clip wouldn't load... that part of the screen stayed black. You can't really see how your video looks before you save it. Also, making people rate your app 5 stars just to test another feature of VideoEditor is misleading to other user who are looking for a good video editing app.
If you haven't noticed, most of the people rating your app 5 stars are only doing it for the music feature, and many are saying/implying that VideoEditor does not deserve 5 stars, whether they thought it was decent or not.
😐🤷🏻♀️

I’ve been screwing around with it for about the past week, and I keep coming to the same problems. When it saved my project, it saved all the clips in the right order but undid all the cutting I did. Then, it wouldn’t let me down load it. When I tried to go back and edit a draft, I literally cannot find a single way to go through and edit it again. Just download, copy, or delete. I like the design and appreciate the music- it sounds really good! It doesn’t blur my videos or mess with audio, but it does make it extremely hard to share it. There’s a lot of potential here but basic processes seemed to be looked over.

iMovie is free and can do waaaay more than VideoEditor and there is a free video editor with about 50 different filters., as well. What I need—and I think this is true for a lot of users—is the ability to make simple adjustments: exposure, contrast, etc. Nothing terribly fancy and I’d be more than happy to pay a (reasonable) price for that. But I can use my own library for (much better) music and those free apps actually have more features than this one...not to mention the laptop versions. Less convenient, but cheaper in the long run (and far, far, FAR better than this or even iMovie).
Ads don’t bother me, not even the extra-long video ads like these. I get that developers need to make a living. And I don’t mind paying for a solid app with competitive features...but the developers of VideoEditor really need to up those game if they want to sell this.

Is there a way to repair a corrupted file? Sometimes I’ll spend hours making a 20 minute clip, and VideoEditor sometimes crashes when I go back to the draft form of an edited video. I don’t want to keep remaking videos and being sketched out that my videos will be corrupted.. does anyone know how to restore a corrupted draft or should I just use a different app? How do I have my videos NOT be corrupted anyways? This is a good app but a little frustrating

I found VideoEditor and was excited because it was a video editor that doesn’t require a weekly or monthly subscription. I downloaded it and purchased the option to remove the watermark.
I started editing some videos and found some of the tools clunky, but I was able to get things to work. This is most notably present with the trim tool. It was difficult to find the specific place I wanted to drop a cut because every time I moved the marker my previous clip would start over.
The low score comes from the fact that VideoEditor crashes repeatedly. It took me several tries to get what I wanted done because of the amount of times it crashed and I had to start over.
If it didn’t crash so much I wouldn’t continue my search for a usable iOS video editor.

I have an iPhone 11. This is a great app. I really like it for mobile because there are multiple frame options, but it crashes WAY too often. Almost every time I use it for a video over 1 minute long. As I edit it (add in text, etc.) it eventually crashes when I’m 50-75% done. Not cool. If this was fixed, it would be a huge improvement.

I have to rate to use the music feature. Will update once I finish my video.

Update: I used VideoEditor to merge multiple clips together and speed them up. The user interface is pretty good for a free app, but you have to be careful where you click because it doesn't really save projects. The thing I found the strangest was when I tried to add music, it would add the music to each disparate clip rather than to the movie overall. Having the music restart every 6 seconds did not really work for me. I also found it very weird that I couldn't preview my video with sound before generating it- I ended up creating 5 or 6 versions because I wanted to know what it would sound like.
So overall, it did the job. Sorta sketchy that it makes you leave a 5 star review to unlock features. I will likely look for another video editing app.

I love how you guys work VideoEditor and everything but can you guys add a feature that make me cut and trim? I don’t know if you devs know what cutting is (although you should) but cutting is when I’m able to cut the video by little parts and not but the end if you guys don’t really get my explanation then just look it up I guess...

It’s not necessary for that many ads and that much loading. The quality and picture is very bad. Also the fact there and only one set of words in your video you can’t control the amount of time that it stays..
but it’s free and it’s and editing app that lets you trim and put two videos together and and it’s mobile! So it’s pretty great but I think it could do waaay better.

I’ve been going through video merging apps and all of them have said “unlimited” but you had to pay. VideoEditor is perfect! You can merge however many videos you want! It takes a bit of patience to load but it is worth it! Love VideoEditor !

You can not continue where you left . You need to start over again

This is an amazing editor. You can add great music you can add texts. You can even add filters. The only thing I can see that is wrong it that the video playback in VideoEditor is very laggy. But it doesn't show in the end. Great app. You should buy.

This is a great editing app, maybe the best I ever used. It's the best but the thing that can make VideoEditor better is that the music choices or music in general, I couldn't find a song I liked and I don't have apple music so that was not convenient. Besides music, I would say this is the best one out there.

I like VideoEditor. Very simple and user friendly for quick projects that don’t require complicated editing. Sometimes I don’t feel like dealing with the larger apps for small projects. This makes them easy.
by KevinR820
Advertisements constantly!!! And they don’t leave the screen even when you click them off. They have a close button but nothing happens when you press it. Videos are degraded in Quality by at least 50 to 70%. And they don’t even keep the same aspect ratio. It forces a portrait oriented video into a landscape layout and shrinks it down on your screen microscopic. Then plasters it’s logo on the side. Could you get any more annoying in multiple possible ways?

Great app besides the music, but you know what would be great? If VideoEditor didn’t crash in the middle of editing. Literally spending a lot of time to edit my videos perfectly just for it to go to waste. At least add a save draft feature. PLEASE. Then I will rate 5 stars. I’m tired of getting my work erased.

Ok this is very good so when I get enough wifi cells it doesn't work for the video but maybe it's because something is wrong with my phone but other than that it's not complicated or hard it's very easy and great to use for a video making
