Looks like it was never updated to work with iPhone X or newer, the UI controls display up by the notch, UNDER the battery and Wi-Fi etc. The end result is that if you go to some views like Search, you can’t physically tap the button to exit Search. There are many controls and buttons that can’t be tapped, so I have to force quit Homer and I can’t use that view again or I’ll get trapped again.

EDIT: Homer only appears to be a year or two old. So I have no idea why this happens as iPhone X and newer must have been used/tested during development.

Every time I upload info Homer goes blank. I need to force close Homer and restart it. After restarting Homer , my info is there. I don’t think I should have to do this every time I add something. Homer has a lot of potential if it gets fixed.

Really wish Homer would support the iPad. My main reason for using an app like this is having easy access to appliance manuals, and that’s not as convenient on an iPhone sized screen. I know there’s a web app but it’s pretty clunky.

this app seems to be the best of the Home Management apps, with great label scanning, timeline, linking, tasks, etc… So it’s frustrating how bad the interface is: a confusing mess of icons, notifications, modal dialogs, badges, and references to “folders” which mean nothing to a normal user.

I’m hopeful this app will hire a good designer some time soon and take Homer to the next level.

Looks like it will be cool once the fix issues with screen layouts and functionality for iPhone 15ProMax and/or iOS 17. Some action buttons don’t work because the aren’t on the screen layout 100%. Seems like they might get more complaints about accessibility from people with disabilities.

As Homer is still in a sort of beta, I’m sure it will improve as time goes on. At least I hope it will since it seems like it could be super useful.

So far my biggest complaint is that the document upload only accepts pictures. Considering that iPhones allow us to scan documents into PDF form which makes them easier to read than a pic, I would love to see the option for more supported file types in the future.

this app does a spectacular job of documenting and categorizing a home. It is super easy to use and makes the process fast and easy.

The only thing preventing me from using, paying, and raising the rating on this app would be my needs for better export/reporting options. Currently, this app is unable to easily export the data (PDF, CSV, XLS, PNG, etc…) so that I can save the information for other purposes (insurance purposes, backup, analysis, etc…). Basically, my information is “trapped” inside this app with little else that I can do with it.

Such a great app for any homeowner. The automatic retrieval of appliance manuals is killer!

It just desperately needs an iPad version so the manuals can be more easily read and stored!

Homer has been a huge lifesaver! I am a new home owner but even without ownership of my home I would still have loved to use Homer. My number one use is to keep track of all information/product manuals that you get with your appliances and utility items. This way I don’t have a huge bulky stack of manuals taking up my whole file cabinet! This thing makes reaching them a BREEZE!!!

The next best thing would be being able to have the timeline of all the repairs and restorations etc. that I am having complete on my home. Just today I had insulation put into my attic and I will always know the age of when things were replaced and installed and if I ever sell it? I have a whole log that can help the next home owner if they have questions during the sale. It’s a win-win!

Homer may look a bit complex at first but once I started to save a few things here and there I got right into it! Now I am using every aspect of Homer to its full ability and I will never need another app for my home unless this one crumbles or goes away lol! Try it out you won’t regret it!

If I had the option to award more than 5 stars, I definitely would.

The only improvement I'd suggest is adding a feature to track product warranties. I adore this application! 5 stars for sure!

Great to have all home details stores in one app. Takes some work to set up so that you have input all relevant details but once the information is in Homer it is easy to use.

You can organize anything you want. So many features and ways to organize via the tagging. I appreciate the easy way to toggle the views. The Swedish have done it again!!

I’m OCD and we’ve bought multiple new builds and Homer help me keep is looking new for years!! The builder just did a two year walk through and was amazed at how organized and clean it was. All thanks to this app ❤️

I love Homer. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. It keeps an inventory of all my household goods and automatically downloads websites, instruction manual, etc. keeps all the receipts in one place. No more closets full of paper instruction manuals for products I got rid of years ago. This is my go to app for everything dealing with my home. I do wish it tracked the warranty of a product. It would be nice to know if a one year or three year warranty was about to expire. My other wish is a barcode scanner for products. It would be nice to scan the barcode on the package and it enters the info for you.

I’ve loved using this app and all of its features! It’s so helpful to have all of the dimensions of my space in my pocket to reference whenever I need them. Cant wait to see what’s next for this app!!

You can say goodbye to the paper manuals that are always stacked somewhere where you will never find them when you need it the most ! With Homer everything is in one place. Super easy to navigate and really easy to use. I even showed it to my dad and now he is absolutely obsessed with it.

Homer is a total game changer. Every single feature is extremely useful and has made keeping my home, documents, and data more organized that I could ever imagine. It’s super easy to acclimate to as well which is a huge plus.

Homer is so helpful for homeowners for keeping track of maintenance to dos, warranties/manuals, plus has a nice visual timeline of all house related events.

As the CEO of all things house related, this is an invaluable app. So convenient to have all info and tasks by room in one place. Makes it easy to not miss something and keeps our home on top shape.

this app is a stellar home organization app that has elevated the tracking I was doing on a spreadsheet to an aesthetic database at my fingertips. I appreciate the breadth of functionality that is free - premium features don’t lock you out of the core mechanics and they are not overly promoted. When apps are graceful about their premium version I am much more likely to see their value and purchase the upgrade. Try it for yourself and be thankful for the extra space that digitizing all those papers and receipts gives you!

If you like things organized or would like to get into the habit of organizing, this is Homer . I’m still on my trial and I added pretty much everything in my home. Even got the timeline for my bathroom renovation. Haven’t made one change to the bathroom yet but on the timeline I have marked from the time a spoke to different contractors to the time I signed with a contractor. It’s pretty simple to use once you get the hang of it. I usually don’t leave reviews but I searched for an app like this and got exactly what I was looking for.

this app is a multi-facted app that makes home ownership 10x easier. It is a customer centric app that I think all home owner would benefit from. Super easy to use and customize from home to home.
