Beware! I had called in to check the status on my order and Aaron was by far the most disrespectful and rudest rep I have spoken to at Legalzoom. The company has a dozen different reps that will handle your account and the reps leaving “notes” in a client’s account are clearly not thorough enough since I had to be put on hold for 10 minutes while he “reads” them. I paid for the expedited process but Legalzoom doesn’t feel that the priority is there even when I had paid for the highest package. You’ve been sending me emails that don’t even correlate to my communication with you. I recommended that there should be just one rep to facilitate each specific account so that there isn’t miscommunication and instead of a company taking the feedback and saying, “Thank you, we’ll look into that,” Aaron proceeded to rudely disrupt and say that “it’s impossible because we have thousands of business requests”. You have lost my business and future businesses.

Building a foundation for a small business and trying to process an LLC should not make me feel like I’m just another number in the “thousands” of requests. Legalzoom does not hold standards high and only wants to reap the financial benefits. Please train your reps to be more respectful over the phone.

August 12, 2020 this is truly the worst company I have ever dealt with. Please do not use them. They will take your money and everything in your account without any warnings. During the pandemic I lost my job and I’m trying to start my own business and money is tight, they charge me $320 for a service I didn’t request and promised 1 month ago to credit my account and I’m still waiting for it and charges without any warning keep going, my bank suggested to cancel my card. Customer service won’t answer my calls, chats or emails and the one time I got them on the chat the agent “Amy” kept disconnecting the conversation and I kept going back to her 4 times (yes the same agent) and I have all the screenshots to prove it.***** PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY*****

after a comprehensive and thorough review, i have concluded LZBooks is a waste of money and completely unnecessary. i personally do not think LZBooks serves society any value and i do think the developers are likely better able to serve society by becoming a part of the soylent green protocol. if the developers of "legalzoom" were to be soylent green'd, no one would care. not joking, LZBooks is garbage and the developers should feel bad. i genuinely do not feel bad saying this however, as someone does need to say it. LZBooks is garbage. the developers are brain damaged. i personally? i would delete the developers from existence lol. app doesnt even have landscape mode on the ipad. LZBooks is a sad excuse of a joke and the developers seem like white powder corona fiends more than zoomers who know how to get work done.

LZBooks is nothing short of awful. Limited functionality-I can’t find any of my company documents. I can’t even really tell what it’s supposed to do other than show you your profile (name, address, phone). There are file folders but they are all empty-none of my LegalZoom-created documents are there and there’s no place to access them to put them in the empty folders. There has to be some sort of secret handshake to be able to utilize LZBooks but no one shared it with me.

Don’t do business with this company. Their prices are high and they never tell you the real amount they are going to charge you. After you pay one thing they call you back with the statement that was only to start the process and check availability… I purchased a gold package, supposed to be the faster service and my document would be ready in 5 days, I’m still waiting, 10 days already and counting. Plus, be prepared to wait on the phone 1.5 hours and then receive no answer to your issue

This site is NOT worth anything. I can no longer sign into my account. If you no longer have the orginal phone number (in my case I was over seas serving my amazing Country), to find out because I chose not too keep my orginal number that I cannot log in. I’m not jumping through hoops to make my life difficult. Then support says well your account (I have access to my email) is old and I haven’t agreed to all the NEW terms. My account I got full access for $7.99 USD a month. Now it’s different yet they still charged me monthly and have taken my ability to login away from me.

This company has been under a lot of scrutiny for their dishonest and questionable practices making you signup for stuff you don’t know you’re signing up for. If you want to start an LLC, one of the best and most affordable things you can do is just go to a local company who will help you get everything started and legit and is often WAY less than Legal Zoom. They charged me almost 800 dollars over the past 16 months for a service I didn’t even know I signed up for and refused to refund my money. Google Legal Zoom controversy. This is not a company that is out trying to help the little guys get started, they are in it for themselves and have deceiving techniques to signup to expensive monthly services you will likely never use. They were rude when I asked for my money they fraudulently charged me with their confusing terms that make people think they need particular services that they most certainly don’t.

Be very weary, they are only after your money. You can file an LLC with your local state easily online in most states. Please don’t let them claim another victim.

I filed the paper work for Legal Zoom to form my LLC January 19th, they filed it with my state January 22nd. Around February 3rd I received notification that the process is delayed at the state level.

I called the secretary of state’s office February 16th to find out why there is such a long delay. Turns out my LLC has been active with the state since January 27th. They had no clue why there would be a delay.

This is the most unprofessional business transaction I have ever done on the internet, and I’m a millennial! I will no longer use there services and I will strongly recommend people look else where for help with any legal documentation. I still don’t have my documentation from them.

In addition to this all of their customer support lines are closed due to weather in Austin, TX. Guys, we are a year into a pandemic. How have you not set this business up as a remote business???

Save yourself money and time. File the paperwork yourself to form companies. As far as any other legal work, it might be better to just hire a local attorney.

I bought the express gold package, on Jan 17, 2019. That suppose to give me the documents and permits I need in 10 days, we’ll, pay around $900 dollars for it, it’s been 6 working days (today Jan 27,2019 -initial date I was promised to receive my documents by the way-) and haven’t even got the initial paperwork that I need to sign to start the process. I received and email and 2 phone calls telling me I needed to sign those documents which can’t do because they haven’t send them to me. I’ve called customer service twice. First time I was told my order was being reviewed and second time I was told it was going to take longer because I didn’t got one of the services they offer (and I don’t need!). So I can say advertising is FAKE! Cero reliability. SCAM.

Specific to LZBooks - good luck. It just doesn’t work. Ultimately deleted. If you’re thinking of doing business with them - don’t. Horrible experience from end to end - the digital experience, their click-bait “offer testing” (including “accidentally” switching the price to a completely different - and $200 higher “offer” - for the SAME package at checkout, arrogant “customer support” and a digital experience that seems to have forgotten that its digital (don’t bother to expect a confirmation or even a status email). In a world where you can set up insurance in less than 5 minutes (Lemonade!) or refinance a loan - and get approval- in less than 10 minutes on a Friday night (SoFi!) the LegalZoom experience is like watching the birth of the Grand Canyon in real time. An utter waste.

I had the absolute WORST experience with this company I’ve been trying to get my DBA verified for 2-3 weeks now and all they do is make me chase my tail giving me the same 2 options that have repeatedly not worked. A buddy of mine did the same process which went through perfectly fine, but of course when I do it myself I’m not eligible to do an esignature , they never accept my faxes, there’s always some sort of issue when i send in the pdf files via email. Its been the worst possible scenario every time i get on the phone with a representative just to hear what the one before said to me. Everything is scripted there’s no true help/ problem solving being done wouldn’t recommend using them for nothing in the world at this point.

Started 2 businesses within 2 months. Mostly seamless start. Made an error on state filing documents that set me back 3 weeks but owned the error and didn’t charge for the fix. Signed up for the tax services & appreciate the personable services. Charges don’t extend to the second business, neither cost included or for a small upgrade fee, like a personal accountant would. Weird that they cannot migrate 2 orders under 2 emails into a single account. Inconvenient, old tech, not a dealbreaker. Can’t get LZBooks to open and stay open

Going back to edit from 3 stars to 1. More than 3 weeks later. Still no business. Paid for 2 LLCs plus the LZ tax and compliance packages. With each call I get different information and up selling. I’d like to get what I ordered first ….

I actually got legal zoom on a web browser, the claim was I needed to use the service for creating an llc. After you purchase what you want through the service it’s nothing but sales pitch after sales pitch for overpriced products, and people I’ve contacted over the phone are as polite as a salesman should be but are very pushy to get you to buy more services and downright lie to you about needing them to try to get you to buy them. Not only that, information and forms I was given are filled with errors I thought were corrected by phone, i need to quit purchasing service related apps for stuff I can do on my own through the irs website. I thought this would save time but really it complicates things. Maybe if your company is getting over a 100k a year this service would be better suited for you.

never use this company! in addition to the fact that they will not send you printed documents to your address, they will also write off as much money from your card as they want, I have screenshots before payment, which shows the amount that I paid, but they decided to write off even more money from my bank card without notifying me about it and without sending a check, I noticed this completely by accident when I went into my bank’s personal account, when I wrote to them in support, they don’t even try to solve this problem, this is the most terrible service I’ve ever seen, NEVER contact this company for services, their only goal is to write off as much money as possible from your bank card! It’s better to immediately find an accountant who will do everything necessary for you, thereby you will save time, money and nerves, NEVER come here if you don’t want to ruin your mood and lose money!!!!

I set my LLC without any issues, but over the last few weeks I haven’t been able to use my app because it keeps saying info unavailable and it hasn’t displayed any information for me to view for a while. I’m still able to access my account through the web browser but what’s the point of having LZBooks if it’s not functional.

After i finally figured out my business name, i filed with LegalZoom and they have been quick and easy so far. Within 6 days, my business was submitted to the state and approved. Just waiting for it to be finalized. Sure, I could’ve done it myself and would’ve been a lot cheaper but after doing the research, i felt LegalZoom was the way to go. i paid for their service and the convenience even tho it is pricey (my reason for 4 stars only) but I’d say worth it. There is a $249 registered agent fee which renews annually so make sure to note that so you can decide whether or not to opt out. For everyone complaining here about that, it’s obvious they didn’t read the fine print at the bottom before you “accept”. So please read those carefully.

Whenever i had a question, they were available when i called and were professional. Plus they’ve been great with communication and providing status updates. Would use them again.

Me and my husband were a bit confused on how to start our business. Because of legal zoom it was made super fast and easy. If I had any questions I would call support and they were able to answer my questions. We got the paper work today and I love the packaging. Thank you so much legal zoom honestly I’m going to refer you to anyone starting a business.

I paid 50 dollars for the lowest package on there website. They then secretly took a unauthorized 200 dollars out the next day. I disputed the 200 with the bank and legal zoom won so I had to lose 200 dollars for nothing . It’s been over a month and I have received nothing from this shady company. Not a thing.

Our Past Experience with LegalZoom was great, we have seen other reviews. Our experience when we started was nothing like the ones we’ve recently seen and will be back to confirm more opening business transactions etc.

Possibly the easiest way to start an LLC.
Would be nice to be able to send proposals and invoices through LZ Books on IPhone and Tablets, currently only possible on Laptop hopefully there is a solution in the near future
