Terrible.

Ram/Chrysler/FCA should be ashamed of Uconnect. I bought a $75k 2021 Ram 1500 Limited and Uconnect for it is not only terrible, but they want me to pay to subscribe to use it. The Ford app is free and 100 times easier to use. The lag on Uconnect is awful. Sending the truck any commands takes several minutes to comply. Here’s the kicker, if you choose the option of the 12” screen in the truck, they completely neuter Uconnect . It has no features other than lock/unlock and start stop. No fuel level check, oil life, tire pressure, mileage, nothing. Can’t locate it to see where it’s parked or track it if it were stolen. Can’t even see if the vehicle is currently locked or unlocked. All features that exist and could easily be done with the hardware and software as is. And since it takes so long to complete an action, you never really know of it happened until you walk out to the truck and find out you have to do whatever you wanted manually anyhow.

Once my free trial is over, I’ll delete Uconnect and forget it exists. Why on earth would they punish the people who buy the premium electronics package with the completely bare bones app? Shameful. If Uconnect was halfway decent, it would still be a rip off to have to subscribe, but it’s terrible AND costs money. Garbage, garbage, garbage. The fact that Ram cares so little about technology features is reason enough to shop for a different brand of vehicle when I trade this in.

Horrible Experience

I love my new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee 80th Anniversary Edition, but I hate Uconnect. The remote start is a joke, and only works (when it finally decides to) after I cycle through multiple times. I basically have to unlock, lock, remote start (fail), remote start (fail), unlock, lock, remote start (fail), remote start (fail), remote start (success...maybe...if I’m lucky...you get the picture)! Totally ridiculous and since Uconnect is so freaking slow the entire sequence takes like 5 minutes or more. And it doesn’t start from anywhere as I’m currently in Mexico, on strong wi-fi, and it won’t work at all. Totally unacceptable considering the price of the vehicle and the electronics and software talent up at FCA. My wife has a less expensive 2020 Subaru Outback, and has the MySubaru app. It cost significantly less than this app ($79 one time charge for the 3 year lease) and works flawlessly. I think it a year it has not failed to start the car once on the first try, and under 10 seconds. I started it just a few minutes ago from Mexico to warm it up and it worked like a charm. And she can also adjust her heat, AC, seats, airflow, steering wheel, and many more functions on the vehicle just by using her app. It’s embarrassingly good compared to the this app app. FCA needs to jump on this immediately and address before it becomes a larger customer dissatisfaction issue.

SOS call not working

I just bought my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee High Altitude and already having this app/Guardian access issues. Was on the phone multiple times for 3 days with Guardian and this app customer service and no one has been able to resolve the issues. I keep getting the run around between the two and no one seems to know what they’re talking about. This is absolutely horrible service and makes me want to return the vehicle. The last thing Guardian help desk told me was that it’s a software issue for why the SOS would not work. They told me to start and drive the vehicle for 10 minutes and turn it off. And repeat this process 2 more times for a total of 30 minutes and this should reset the SOS and allow it to work. Can you believe this is what Guardian told me to do to fix the problem??? This is crazy! Never heard such a thing. What kind of customer support is this? They should be able to reset or send a signal or something from their end to fix the SOS system or software issue. There should be simple fixes for these vehicle technology issues. They advertise that this app & Guardian is so great but the first time experience that I’m having with it is not, it’s terrible so far. Never had this problem with my previous OnStar service. I hope that FCA or other technical support reads my review and can immediately help resolve my problem please.

Thanks,
David

Uconnect and this app are a RIP-OFF

Why can Uconnect not work properly? Why is it basically never updated. I have not received a vehicle health report in 7 months. Granted if there is a problem the dash will show a warning light but the $170 I paid to renew after my free trial I want all the features that I am entitled to. Uconnect never works. Countless emails and phone calls and yes I even took it to a FCA Jeep dealership and was told everything on my vehicle is working and that the problem is on this app’s end. this app will not do anything to upgrade or correct the issue or admit there is a “PROBLEM” on their end. Just look at all the other reviews. Same issues as I described. Bottom line is save your money, all this is is a “money pit”. I call this app and all I get is danced around and circle talk and a decision tree analysis by someone who really could care less and then says “I can make you an appointment at a dealership for you. Well I can do that too and I did! No Problems Found. Excuse me but the issue is on your end this app! Your Research and Development Department and IT Department isn’t doing their job. Uconnect is a total scam it does not wok properly, is never updated and a rip off. Do yourself a favor and don’t do what I did and waste $170 on this piece of garbage system and app. Never again. Total junk and like I previously said a rip off.....

Not good. Ford pass better and free.

Just all around not good. Ford pass much better.
Commands take way too long to receive or it fails. GPS won’t update while moving and even once it’s parked it takes forever to receive command to update. If your cars off it won’t update until you turn it back on and few minutes after you shut it off. Right before your trial is about to expire or membership is going to expire, expect a daily call from them for about 2 weeks trying to convince you to purchase. Monthly health reports aren’t monthly. It’s random. Went a few months without one. Then any update the stereo needs has to be done at the dealer. The ford connects to your home wifi and updates the unit on its own.
They also say Alexa can use these features, that’s a lie. Alexa app never connects and commands fail. There’s nothing good to say about Uconnect and features. Love the car. Hate the guardian this app.
After purchasing a 45k grand Cherokee they still want you to pay over $360 for these super slow or non working features.
I’m not sure where these positive ratings are coming from Because any real owner who uses Uconnect and car daily knows it isn’t worth the money and time.

Not bad, but a few annoyances

I don’t know if it’s necessarily Uconnect ’s fault or the network or what, but it doesn’t always start the truck. It’s nice when it is working, especially out here in Phoenix when it’s terribly hot in the middle of summer. Remote start from far away from the truck is very handy for getting the interior air conditioned before getting out to it in a large parking lot.

The truly annoying thing about Uconnect is the fact that I cannot paste my password into Uconnect after it forgets the login credentials, either from a restart of the phone or an app update. If you are being careful with your passwords and using a password management app, you are storing unique passwords and pass phrases for every app. I copy mine from 1Password and expect to be able to paste it into an app, but this one disallows that. Ridiculous UX. Fix that and I’ll be much happier to bump up the rating on Uconnect. There’s no security advantage to stopping me from pasting from my password management system. In fact, you may be causing people to use simpler, more dangerous passwords.

NOT A 100%

Igvjhcchjyffcbhuyccvband white one. Must of the time it only works 60% of time. It only starts my truck or unlocks it 60% of the time. Other times it just says failed in the attempt I am trying to do. The other problem that happens everyday is when I go to open Uconnect on my cell phone it does not open. It just a light blue screen that does nothing and I have to restart my cell to get it to work. I know what some of the problem is is that they use sprint for there cell service and once your outside any city there service starts to lose service. I have times when I am just on the beginning of the city were it’s still only in 1x and not 3g. I sometimes wish I would of bought a GMC because they have a much better system that actually works when your not even close to any city. To update I have called them and done everything they ask from installing to reinstalling and nothing has help. I am at the point of canceling not using it because of the price and it not working 50% of time. I have a 2017 Ram Rebel.

App is almost useless with a 2020 Ram 2500

I downloaded Uconnect with high hopes as the description makes it sound like a very full featured and useful addition to my expensive truck purchase. Sadly, it doesn’t live us to the hype at all! The only thing that kinda works, sometimes, is the remote lock/unlock and remote start. When these features do work, it takes a couple minutes for the truck to receive the signal. Sadly however, often the signal is apparently lost and the truck doesn’t do anything. Also, the remote diagnostics is apparently not something that is supported either. And the “Send n go” feature has never worked, Uconnect doesn’t even give me the option to send an address/route to the truck. And I haven’t been able to find any documentation specifically saying whether this feature should be supported and there is an issue with my truck, or whether this is simply another of them overhyped yet unavailable features. Truly disappointed and will definitely not be continuing my subscription after the free trial period ends, unless these issues are resolved and is Ram 2500 owners get the features we should.

I have used it many times it’s a great thing

Keep up with your maintenance when your spouse doesn’t pay attention to those things tire pressure forget watch side of the mall you parked your car out remind you to get gas lock your dogs inside the car by mistake remote start it from anywhere…Laying in bed at night and can’t remember if you lock the car.. Lock it with Uconnect your key fob may not reach to your driveway but this will reach from two states over lots of benefits.. The only thing that I would say needs improvement is the speed in which Uconnect reacts sometime a lock or unlock command or a vehicle OK takes a long time or returns with no response or failed I don’t know if we need to upgrade the servers or the speed or watt but when it functions fast it’s great

Not so good

Got a 2021 Dodge Charger and thought Uconnect was a great addition. After having it for 6 months I realized I don’t use it at all. Reasons being are it takes over 2 minutes or more for the car to get any signal from Uconnect to unlock, lock, or start. It really doesn’t matter what type of signal my phone has either I can be on 5G full bars or the best wifi network available and it’s still slow. One thing I was really looking forward to using besides the remote features was the ability to get diagnostic information on Uconnect . It worked once when I first setup Uconnect and now will not update no matter what I do and I have done a bunch of troubleshooting to try and get that to work. I have a KIA and their app is simple. Start Uconnect go into the infotainment system setting and click diagnostics and it sends it to the phone. Uconnect should be just as simple. I really wanted to like Uconnect/feature not a deal breaker since I love my car but definitely not going to pay to continue using this.

Not everything works

Some features are not working while others work. My vehicle also thinks service isn’t active when it is. Dealer has called out to Chrysler who isn’t responding to the issues.

Update: The problems mysteriously solved themselves without the dealer nor Chrysler acknowledging having done anything. But I will also give credit to Chrysler for reaching out based on this review to look into issue, however it came after the problems corrected themselves.

As Uconnect now works properly and the vehicle now says it’s properly activated I’ve updated the review to reflect the change. I wish Uconnect was quicker to respond to remote commands to the vehicle. It’s also a shame you need to pay to get the remote features. Having a remote only plan at a attractive price would probably interest more people in keeping some level of service then requiring the high price monthly plans when most people just probably want/need remote commands.

Meh...

The old version never gave me problem for my 2015 Dodge Charger. But I’ve had Uconnect less than a year for my 2019 Dodge Charger. And it’s the worst. At times it dont work at all, other times it cancels out, making me having to start the process all over. For what this is gonna cost me, I’m not sure I want it. Wasn’t for insurance purposes, wouldn’t even be an option. Just imagine your arms /hands full. You can’t get to your get fob. You pull off in the taxi go half way cross the country. You go to this app yo lock your doors, and it comes back failed more than once. Yep that has happened to me plenty a times. The life of. Soldier. Smh, great option, but not that great.

I really wish Uconnect would do more. Like tell you if your door are not locked after a certain. Or was able to compatible with different devices, such as dash cams.

But it’s actually working better now. I changed my rating to 4 from 4 stars.

App Doesn’t Work Often

Originally I got Uconnect, my credit card expiration date changed and being human I forgot to go in and change it. First, never received an email or anything from this app stating my credit card expired, just shut off my subscription completely. Second, I fixed the solution and app was working for a while, then within the last 2 weeks I try to auto start from Uconnect and it’s been in spin cycle for about 3 minutes then says failed.

I wouldn’t have an issue if we didn’t have to pay for Uconnect , however, I have family members in my household who have different systems (Chevy Mylink) and they can start their cars from their phone within 2 minutes and never crashes. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Uconnect , there is no updates as of today so not sure what the issue is. Just looking out for my safety and safety of other jeep/dodge/ram drivers who may need it to unlock, lock, locate their vehicle, or automatic start it.

Please look into app redesign and bugs

Huge disappointment.

I have 2019 Ram 1500 limited with 12 inch screen. Downloaded this app app, subscribed for remote control services and paying $27 per month for geolocation that works once in few days, remote services that won’t send notifications and you can’t determine whether your engine is running or not, the only notification you get shows “Request received” or “request failed”, you can’t see vehicle status like tire monitor or oil live etc. It takes about a minute to start the engine or lock/unlock the doors, like someone previously stated I can get faster to my truck.
2 stars only because customer service is good. Poor girls and guys(I can only imagine how many times they have to listen to people like me complaining about the same issues).
I asked if this app is working on updating Uconnect for top model of Ram and they just don’t know.
I read some reviews and app developers responses are automatic so I guess we should not expect any progress.
At least I’m happy for Jeep owners and all others that can actually use all features that Uconnect provides.

Too Many Ads

When I first got my truck a couple of years ago with Uconnect you would only get one pop-up advertisement saying “new coupons available for your ram 2500“ maybe once a week, but recently it’s gotten much more frequent and now for a week solid I’ve been getting 20+ a day on some days, and yesterday I got 41 in a single day including some coming at night! It’s very annoying to have your iPhone constantly blowing up with these pop-up advertisements from the this app app and they all say the exact same thing and I’ve never been interested in any of them and I don’t think anybody’s interested in getting 41 of the same notificationIn a single day. This really needs to be fixed. They need to include an option to opt out of all marketing messages from Uconnect. I’m not interested in and have never been interested in any of those pop-up coupons. I want Uconnect only to tell me about the condition of my vehicle, remote start, etc. and not constantly bombarding me with pop-up pop-up ads on my phone.

App doesn't work

I've had my 2019 Dodge Ram Laramie for 6 months now and Uconnect is unfortunately the biggest disappointment. The location feature has worked maybe once or twice in the time I've owned the vehicle and the remote start just plain doesn't work for me. As a guy who really enjoys tech, I had high hopes for Uconnect, but it just doesn't deliver even at the most basic level. I truly hope they make meaningful changes to provide a better experience for their customers. It has the potential to be truly awesome. After basic features are working, what about a feature that anticipates your daily schedule (just like Apple Maps does) and gives you a prompt to start your car to get the AC or heat rollin about 5 minutes before you usually leave? Or if it's tied in to the gas gauge, a reminder to leave 10 minutes early to get gas when you're low. I know having ideas for app features is way easier than actually implementing them, but I really feel like an app could be a huge service to a car owner.

2019 RAM

I purchased a new RAM 1500 Laramie with the 12 inch screen and was really expecting the this app app to include more information like fuel level, tire pressure, mileage, etc. A friend of mine has a 2019 Jeep and DOES have this extra info on his this app app. Neither of us can figure out why he gets this extra info and I don’t! Don’t get me wrong, being able to start my truck from anywhere is very convenient however I totally agree with others that the lag time to start the vehicle is not acceptable. I would really appreciate a response from the developer on why I cannot get this info for my 2019 Ram truck. Are there any SW updates to address this? What is the most current SW version for my 12 inch display? I just read that there will be a new this app 5 coming for newer vehicles. Please don’t tell me that my 2019 Ram is old news and not being supported any longer! I canceled my this app subscription after the free trial because of this! If someone can tell me that there is a fix for my complaint I would subscribe again.

Please do better and fix

I was very very much in love with Uconnect due to the fact that i could start my Durango from a far distance. It is especially helpful in the winter time because i can start my truck before clocking out on the cold windy chilly nights and my windows be defrosted by the time i make it outside. Now my truck won’t even start, lock, or unlock from Uconnect . Not to mention i was also provided the work device with my subscription and since I’ve had it it only worked well for the first week or so before it completely just stop working . Despite that Uconnect doesn’t really do all it says it would i am a simple person and was very happy with the ability to use the basic commands but now i can’t even do that. Please fix this or I’ll just find another app of better quality that’ll actually do what it says it does. If fixed I’ll change my rating

One of the best vehicle apps. Seriously.

I can not stress enough how amazing Uconnect is. Let me explain. I recently leased my first Jeep, it’s my first Mopar since 2013. Before this I had a Mercedes and let me tell you. Their app for their cars is horrible. So horrible, so unresponsive, slow and unreliable. The reviews on Uconnect prove it. I hated using it and you’d think from a company like that you’d get the best app experience. Now to today with this app, I now see the best car app is from FCA. Uconnect is fast, reliable, easy to use and I have yet to run into a single issue since getting my new Jeep in September. I can finally use the mobile remote start feature with no issue thanks to FCA. I am one very happy customer, Thanks FCA! Keep up the great work.

Trailing the competition

It seems Ridiculous to complain about an app that lets you start your vehicle, lock and unlock the doors from your cell phone! The reality of it is, however, that the system ram use his lags pretty far behind its competitors. I have Uconnect for my Ford and Chevrolet and they are both substantially faster and show real time vehicle status. I can almost always walk out to my car and start it faster than it would take the this app app. My other vehicles start within 3 seconds of starting via app.

Even the new Hyundai app is substantially more advanced and offers more features. It seems like this is an area that could really improve the ownership experience without substantial development costs.

People will continue to expect a better car/device experience. I hope this app will continue to develop and it won’t just get dumped for something else leaving existing owners stuck with old tech.

Unconnected!

Has been by far the most useful source in today’s keyless entry. Great alternative when keys are lost or locked in. Yet, the ability to send addresses to the vehicle while someone is operating it makes it way safer as the driver isn’t distracted by incoming sms txt messages. A notification simply pops up on your screen and off you go! Another great feature is the ability to lock and unlock vehicle from anywhere. Just as you’re able to track it as well!

By

Convenient but can improve...

Very convenient app with some great remote triggers. But, it can be improved with a few advancement of its features.
What would be great is if Uconnect would show the actual status of the vehicle when the vehicle info is displayed. What I am referring to is showing real time status of the vehicle running/not running. I have done a remote start and rec’d the notification that the request was received (in app notification), but the vehicle was not actually started. This could be done as an alternative through the remote page by “graying out” the start command button if the vehicle is running, and “graying out” the cancel command button if the vehicle is not running. The same could be done for the doors locked or unlocked.
Overall, I am satisfied with Uconnect and love the Sent and Go feature! It can be a bit finicky at times, but is a GREAT feature when it works like it should.

Super Buggy and not worth the money

I’ve had the Sirius Guardian subscription and this app app for over a year now and I can’t imagine why it costs $250 a year for the subscription. On the subscription side Sirius has no issue taking your money and refusing to present offers that will save you money. My recommendation is after your trial period ends wait for an email offering you a lower price and present that to an agent rather then letting them “assist” you in finding a deal.

On Uconnect side of things, (probably because of the lackluster Sirius side of things) vehicle info rarely updates and location/alarm events are not alerted on Uconnect , but an email instead. Even after going in and restarting my account like the support person suggested Uconnect is buggy at best. Compared to other vehicle apps like Toyota’s or BMW Uconnect is a joke. The lock and unlock feature is a major convince if you’re in a pickle, other than that Uconnect is more of a gimmick than an actual tool in its current state.

By

What happend?

2017 get my truck new and everything was working fine, nevertheless I was disappointed about the capabilities of Uconnect , you can do a lot more with a regular aftermarket alarm system but ok, I get it , you guys try and I also call you and suggest about been able to access other function like the ac temp, they say we will take that in consideration, thank you for your input and that it, never happens.
Now the darn thing after a couples updates and reinstall of Uconnect only works wend it wants to, talk to costumer service and after receiving a lesson about how ilegal is talking on the phone while I drive nothing gets resolve, a technician or specialist suppose to call me but I don’t have the time to spend another hour try to fix a problems I do not cause, seriously thinking about getting my money back, this supposed to be and aided, no a headache.
Would be nice if you get your things right and in the process add some good features like the ability to control the AC on Uconnect .

By

Zero stars

Uconnect is an enormous disappointment. When opening on a mobile device, it says unable to connect, try again later. After 30 minutes and several attempts I give up.
The “access” button in the vehicle is equally disappointing. I press the access button once. The screen displays unable to connect. I wait a minute and try again, same response, wait again and try a third time. Now the screen says please wait “ loading “. Approximately 5 minutes pass before the screen displays 4 choices. I touch my choice and now wait another 5 minutes for an agent, who by the way knows absolutely nothing about my vehicle nor the onboard equipment or devices.
I lost 30 minutes from home on a mobile device and another 15 minutes waiting in the vehicle for an agent. Oh yeah don’t forget the additional 5 minute dialogue with the agent that kept telling me to just go back to the dealer.

It doesn’t Work every-time and slow😡

It woont work most of the time. I called numerous times to satellite guardian and solved many many times but after a couple of days went back to same old problem. I cant even locate my vehicle on Uconnect ??? Makes me want to get up and check on my car if its still in the drive way.

Also, seen the ford app way better and faster!! Shamed about this feature and app when im with friends cause it doen not work!!! Any way that this thing can be solve? Or fix? Seriously, press remote start and if its in the mood it will do as fast as the ford remote access but if not, it will take forever! Rather it will do its thing or saying error!

This remote access is a great selling tool! But if it fails! It is so freaking embarrassing! to a client. Im talking as an chrysler owner and a sales rep for crying out loud please do something!

Way to much work to activate

I have had my truck for 5 days now, have sent two faxes and called in 4 times and still do not have service. I am getting extremely frustrated as most of the features that I was excited to get with the truck are not working. Every time I call I just get that the truck is has an active account already and we need you to send a bill of sale. I did, got a fax confirmation, however they claim they don’t have it on the other end. I am a small business owner and have already wasted too much of my time on this. You guys need serious Improvements to your registration processes. I will certainly not pay anything extra for your service when I’ve had to waste so much of my time and it’s still not working. Relying on only a fax machine to send in documents in 2020 is a joke. I guess I should have got a different truck.......

Bugs galore- frustrating

As a person that has used The Ford app, Lincoln and Tesla this lags seriously behind. It randomly and of course at the wrong time dumps credentials- lags or won’t connect- poor feedback. Press remote start and definitely don’t sleep your phone because you will arrive to a cold non running vehicle. Keep Uconnect alive and repeat the start button 2-3 times to start but not rapidly. Wait 1-2 minutes in between clicks. Wondering where you parked your car and hoping for location? May as well wait for other cars to leave the lot. Don’t count on Uconnect for location- you may get the location from yesterday. As an app developer my guess is that the communication between the vehicle and servers is poor trying to minimize data and cell time prioritized over functionality. When the free goes away will definitely NOT pay for this.

By

Sadly doesn’t always work

It’s very frustrating when you work the night shift and have the capability of starting your car from your office so it will be warm and toasty when you walk out in frigid weather to get in your car only to find once again..... your car didn’t start. I’m certainly hoping this update helps, otherwise I’m not going to continue to pay monthly for something that works 2 out of 5 attempts. It should work 5 out of 5. I accidentally left my keys in my office to grab something out of my car, by the time I got Uconnect to unlock my car and lock it back I could have walked in and grabbed my keys 10 times over! When it works it’s awesome but it’s just not worth it to not have it work properly all the time.

By

Why does this have 4.5 stars???

Worst app I have. AT BEST, it starts your vehicle 50% of the time and it doesn’t tell you when it doesn’t turn your vehicle on.
This has been terrible since the old app went away. Why have all the bugs not been worked out?
I understand you have added another “touch point” on your communication channel in order to reach out to the vehicle and that is why it can take up to 5 minutes to remote start but there is no excuse for it never starting.
Uconnect also doesn’t show each time a failed start happens in the top right icon. Which I am guessing helps your internal numbers to show fewer missed activations to use for Marketing/Sales but c’mon, you have had more than enough time to fix these issues.
Can you tell me what your timeline is to fix the failed communication issue at least?

NOT THE SAME!!!

I don’t know what happened between July and now. But Uconnect was working just fine. Was able to locate my vehicle with no problem and unlock doors and remote start.

Recently, I’ve been trying to remote start my vehicle and I get a notification stating my vehicle has been inactive for some time and it may take a while to start. Well, it never started.

I’ve decided to check to see if I missed an app update... it appears I did. So I updated Uconnect . Not I get failure after failure alerts whenever I try to use the unlock, lock, horns/lights, and remote start feature. I don’t know what happened, but this needs to be fixed. There’s no reason I have to pay so much money just to look at an app that I can not use. Luckily there’s only a few weeks left on my plan. I most certainly will NOT be renewing if this isn’t fixed by then.

Won’t update vehicle info🤬

My vehicle info hasn’t updated in 4 days I called customer support and I uninstalled Uconnect reinstalled it and logged out and logged back in again and nothing. There isn’t even a place to refresh the vehicle info. The remote part works fine it’s just the vehicle info and sometimes the vehicle locator that does not work. Please fix this bug cause it is an option I plan on using for the whole term of my purchase beyond the free year they give you.

For the past week now Uconnect has been working correctly and updating every 24-26 hrs. So thank you for whatever update or patch that was done. Great app

I purchased a new dodge that I have saved to buy for a long time. I'm ready to take a loss and buy another vehicle that doesn't have this horrible system. Since the first day it has crashed. The system freezes, resets, doesn't allow me to control any features like comfort control for ac or heat, navigation, music, or any thing. I have never been able to listen to music for a full drive, or use CarPlay maps or system nav to actually get me somewhere. When I contact UConnect, they say an update may be a few months away. It lags, even creates delays when trying to just start my vehicle or use the simplest features. Or they say Take it to the dealer. The dealer resets it and the same issues start all over again because the software is old, faulty, fails, and I hope no one ever has to go through what I currently experience. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING WITHY UCONNECT.

2014 Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel Ltd. UConnect was typically unreliable and always a pain. The updates were guaranteed to give you several hours of headaches and telephone conversations with UConnect support (I use the term "support" quite loosely). In 2021, 3G was retired, and T-Mobile offered a 4G module that plugs into the OBD port under the dash in order to at least keep the basic functions of UConnect alive (e.g., remote start from your phone). I took the bait and bought a year of the T-Mobile Service (2021-2022) along with the OBD-compatible transponder. It never worked. But then, UConnect never worked well before, so no loss other than the $ for the add-ons. Fast rewind - while the car was still covered by the factory warranty, UConnect was always problematic. The dealer's response: "UConnect is a different company than Jeep - you have to call them for service". WTF? The first rule of business is that one must have a good product and customer service. FCA, you truly should be held to account for an awful product and the breach of your duty to own up to the failures of UConnect. After all, it is we, the consumers, who pay for the UConnect service while FCA gleefully markets their UConnect-equipped vehicles in order to entice unsuspecting consumers to take the bait. Shame on you greedy folks. What's next? Will you charge us for a steering wheel and when it doesn't work, you tell us that it was XYZ Company, not Jeep, that made that steering wheel? You need to call XYZ. No thanks. #fca #jeep #grandcherokee #uconnect

Customer support and service is terrible. They don't support the product and customer service reps are useless and just try to get you off the call and using the website. They lack knowledge in the product and are rude and useless. Wish I could scrap this system out of the vehicle but expensive and difficult as it is integrated within the vehicles systems. Very disappointed. 1/10. Literally buy a different vehicle to avoid this system.

Worst app ever. Your engineers need to take lessons from Kia. Uconnect does not understand the names of people I want to call, once they get the name right it will ask 5 different questions before finally making the call. Hope I never need 911. Still can't figure out how to get driving directions on the screen. Is there any way to delete the app?

Okay, so I decided to lease a truck worth $60,000. I enjoyed having this app to be able to track dealer work such as oil changes, repairs, etc. It was also nice to use the app to see how much gas was in my tank if I forgot. I used the lock button a few times when I was uncertain if I locked my car when I went into some business establishment. I already knew that my Sirius XM was set to expire after 6 months. However, when I received the email for the UCONNECT, I hadn't even realized that this was a service that was going to expire; I simply thought it was a technology perk of this vehicle. Once my app expired, it gave you nothing. Seriously, you can't have a free version that just gives you the location of your vehicle, your service history records, and the digital glovebox booklet? What a racket! Why would anyone pay $10 a month for the navigation when you can just use maps on your phone? Put to pay another $15 to lock, unlock, remote start off my phone, and see my gas gauge? I pay $3 a month to look at my Ring camera. What a crock.

uconnect is a joke they put a update out for u to download yourself to install to your vehicle like it was gonna help you avoid the dealership but that update screws up the damn radio. So now the dealership says oh you need a new $800 radio plus $350 to install, how about uconnect pay for a new system in my truck since yall gave us a shitty update that broke the radio by the way the aftermarket system is around the same price

Absolute JOKE of an app & company. Stopped working all of a sudden, contacted Uconnect Access every week for THREE MONTHS. Never corrected, run around, no call backs, endless issues. Still managed to charge me $30.00/month while they couldnt correct the issue. Finally got sick of wasting my time and money waiting on them to fix their app, cancelled and requested credit for the 3 months I was billed for a service they couldn't provide me - which is very well documented. Spoke to several "supervisors" who said they were unable to issue credits - "only corporate can issue credits, but we don't have any contact info for them". No information about corporate anywhere that I've been able to find. Worst customer service I've ever received, useless app, waste of time and money. Says a lot about their company - don't waste your time, you're better off just throwing money out your car window every month cause they'll never get it right.

Total garbage. Doesn't update for days. Almost never accurate. Absolutely useless...

Like most of the reviews I’ve read, the app is a piece of junk. Car was taken to dealership to get Uconnect checked & they couldn’t find anything wrong with the system but did a Star ticket on it with Sirius. Been 3 days since they summited the ticket. As of now they still have not heard back from Sirius with a solution. Will definitely not be renewing my subscription next month!

An app that unlocks and locks, starts my truck and includes theft alert notifications but failed to do so. My 2021 Ram Laramie was stolen out of my parking garage. No alert no message was sent to me. As I was going back into my apartment I see my truck being driven out of what was supposed to be a secure gated community. I checked my pockets first to be sure I had my key and I did I then proceeded to my app and noticed no notification. I then called my mother who holds the second key and she verified it’s safety. I would not recommend this app for the simple fact that safety should be considered first not advanced technology for preferred manual buttons. I

We purchased a new 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Upland and was never told that the Uconnect Access App was needed to start/unlock the vehicle with a phone. I refuse to pay for a service with unwanted/unneeded features when all I want is the ability to start/unlock the vehicle with our phones. I will not purchase another Jeep, Ram, or anything else that requires this app to start/unlock your vehicle.
