I followed the instructions to a T, however, the instructions must be for an older operating system than what I’m using, because where they say to go, does NOT EXIST!
Fails if I try to install more than one font. And I mean one font, not one font family. I’m supposed to do this dozens of times, if I want bold, italic, etc? And why does it say “A configuration with your fonts is ready to be downloaded ...”
Reliably crashes every time I try to “install” my fonts.
It does not work on iPhone
This used go be my goto app for fonts on iPadOS… now it just gives me a “Profile Error” for every font I try. Last update was over a year ago, so I think it’s safe to say the apps been abandoned.
I want to express my gratitude to the authors of this software from filling a gaping hole in the iOS/iPadOS font world. With it, I have been able to install much-needed fonts and use them in iPad apps.
However, Fontcase is still pretty rough around the edges. In particular, I have not been able to install all of the fonts I have added to this app. After installing, the dark purple bar at the top of the screen says, “122 fonts imported, 84 need installation.” Whatever I do, these 84 fonts remain uninstalled (and have the download icon by their names). Why is this happening? What can I do to fix this?
I created my own custom font online. It was a true type font.I have it on my Mac, I put it into dropbox. I was able to download it and use this app to install it onto my iPad Pro. I am able to access my font in any app that allows me to change the fonts. I had to read that instructions twice, there is a help menu that makes a pretty clear how to complete the task. This is an awesome app for a missing component on the iPad thanks for creating it.
Beyond the joy of its easy integration with iOS file providers (iCloud Drive, Dropbox, etc.), this app is nearly as seamless as it gets for installing your own third-party font files. The only mechanism Apple provides to install such fonts is via the convoluted process of configuration profiles. this app bundles all of your imported fonts together in one profile... avoiding the HUGE pain of having to install one profile for each and every font file, as some other font management apps require. Great!
Apple has decided for some reason that you, the over of your device, should only be able to install Apple approved fonts downloaded from Fontcase Store. Fontcase works around this stupid restriction using configuration profiles. And it's free and open source!
Not sure what happened for “MenFast”, but it worked fine the very first time I tried it on the iPhone. Great to have some of my Favorite fonts now easily available on iPhone!
Would be nice to take .ttc files as well.
