I have been trying to contact the customer service to find out where is my money as I started a transaction one week ago, first they asked me to send proof that I sent the money, they deducted the money directly from my bank so this shouldn't be a step but I sent the info, then after 4 days they reply saying they got the funds and sent them to the destination bank, it has been 25 hours since they funds were "sent" and we haven't got the money, if you want a good service and a good company to use and send money go with Xoom or Remitly, this app is the worst one ever, I have been using them for about a year and every transaction they had a new problem, I continued using them because they paid more money than other ones, but I won't use them anymore after this issue.

They keep saying the money was sent to bank and will be there in two business days, that didn’t happened and no one is able to tell me where is the money

This is absolutely nonsense. First of all they take all the recipient details including account number, address and all other irrelevant information. After providing everything spending an hour on it, they ask for ur Id proofs. They have made me wait for almost 4 days just to give a pending verification status. They are not able to verify my address from my driving license? In spite of that I have provided my utility bill also because they ask for it. Now still the status is asking me to provide the utility bill. Is the team unable to find my name and address in the utility bill and the driving license I provided ? Or Am I expected to highlight my name and address with colors in it ? Such a slow service. Totally annoying.

This is the worst money transfer experience I ever had. Certainly not recommended. Must tell my family, friends and everyone to avoid using Instarem for money transfer or else, your transactions will be delayed because of too much waiting for your money. What’s worst is they already took your money from your original bank account, but it will take more than a week before your money will be transferred. So it’s like your money is just hanging somewhere within one week, gone from your bank but not transferred!

Instarem is good for rates but be alert as if you anytime ask for refund they would keep your money with them & make you chase for it for at least a week. They do not have any customer care phone number & would always reply on email as per wish could be even after 2 days. They not only deducted my money even after cancelling but kept it as per wish. There support would just close any tickets you create with a default template stating it would be done in 24-36 hours or 72 hours etc etc. Reached out to there help support via chat but same template is being used. Finally had to raise a dispute via the bank to get money back. Worst customer service. This is harsh reality of doing business with them. Be Alert with them. I wanted to give zero star but as they have good rates giving them 1 star rating.

Save yourself the hassle and avoid Instarem. It’s been almost 4 weeks since I tried to make a transfer which failed. Asked to reinstate transfer and they said refund is my only option. And ever since I’m trying to get my money back which has been such painful process. Multiple touch points with various this app agents and they give you a new piece of information, asking for a new document each time you raise a new ticket. I’m still waiting for my refund. Absolutely zero customer obsession, avoid this service at all costs.

This is very basic app to do the transfer job. Lots of scope to improve. Some bank doesn’t add up. I made the 1st transfer still showing awaiting payment. Good thing is chances of some money back as reward points.

Updated review: initially thought a good company trying to mark its feet but after using for one month realizing they are bounded by stupid rules and doesn’t care customer concerns.
Instapoints get expired even before the mentioned date. For everything they want a proof like promotional notification, who keep screenshot of promotional notification.

If you are not in a hurry with the money you are sending, this app is ok becuase their exchange rate is always competitive.

If you have a problem and needs to contact their customer support, you are out of luck becuase they do not have any telephone number, they only have chat that is useless and very annoying and wouldn’t give you an option to connect with a human, at least with my experienced.

If you need to cancel your transaction, good luck with that because even though they haven’t received your money, that will not allow you to cancel it because it is already in process.

Transaction processing takes a very long time. They should ask for relevant documents before accepting the transaction. After accepting they continue to send requests one at a time. You have to always be on a lookout for what is going on with the transaction. On my latest transaction got 3 requests and they delayed the transaction for 3 days and even now they say it will reach the account in 1-2 business days.
Also during the transaction they changed the rate. Then couple of hours later they changed it back up and now refuse to cancel my transaction since they gave low rate and delayed the transfer.

Giving a 4star rating for now because I know it will be best the next time in terms of lead time but other than that it’s better than other app considering no fees and you earn points every time you transfer which you can redeem once you reach the 100points .It also allows you to share Instarem with others then you earn points as well .They’re also consistent in updating the status of your money transfer by sending email to the sender .✨💫

I love this app coz it has good exchange rate but I don’t like the slow process. I keep going back to R** to send money coz just in minutes the money is available for my recipients. If this app will do just that… this will be my one and only money transfer that I’m going to use. Hopefully soon they can make the money transfer faster. 🙏🏼 Thank you!

I like it and it’s my go to app for any remittances abroad. UI is simple and very intuitive. No crazy or unnecessary items on Instarem interface which gives it a very clean and appealing look.

A suggestion though to make the this app points list view sortable by date, or make it default sort by ‘Most Recent’ first rather than current ‘oldest first’.
Also, it will be great if these points are made to not expire at all. It will be a great benefit to its loyal customers.

I am using Instarem from the beginning when referral login was in trend. I got referral points and used then there was a charge to send money but later using points and sending bulk money waiver all this. From that day to today I am using and always saw that no match to conversion priced what I got here. I stopped all my account and completely switched here to send money. This is very easy to use, easy steps for registration and best part not much delay. Easy status update on phone and email. Happy to have Instarem for transfer.I really recommend this.

at first i was reluctant and sent only 1000$ to find out if it’s really going through. to my surprise it’s been fast since it’s with swift bank account if international transfer usually it will take 1-5 working days to complete a transaction same as the other money transfer out there. it’s been a good one since their exchange rate is really almost the same as what the current exchange rate on the web browser that we are all using. it’s highly recommended to use this app as money remittance to any place in the world. you won’t regret to use it.

I’ve been a customer of this app for almost five years. And each year, the quality and efficiency of their service has improved dramatically. Initially, it took several days to complete a transaction. Today, I initiated a wire transfer from my home financial institution to my account overseas via this app. To my surprise, it was completed in less than 2-hours. And at a competitive rate. I now refer this app to all my friends and associates.

I have been using this app for about 6 years now and I had a couple of problems but they were all resolved in a timely matter. The thing that makes me mad is when reading the bad reviews it show how some people can’t follow simple rules in place. If you make a mistake it would take days to resolve! Even with western Union or any bank! Also, some people are so dumb because they never read the terms of use or they can’t comprehend what they are reading! 😂😂😂 Don’t even try using Instarem and just go to Western Union and keep getting lower rates and fees! BTW I had never paid a fee and the exchange rate is always the best around!

I have tried many services to transfer money to homeland but this app stood out of all with best rates each time. One of the cool feature is this app points to allow you to gain rewards for every transfer. I recommend to my friends often and yes you get referral Bonus too. One of my friend in Quebec could not use this app so I am waiting for them to support more countries / cities.

I have been using this app for quite some time and this is only app which gives best transaction rate. Easy to use and setup. Only change I would like to see is increase the sending limit more than 1000 $ along with introduction of instant transfer. Once these are available then no one for beat Instarem.

I used this to transfer money from
USA to Brazil and after all the comments here I was a bit concerned. But the transfer went very fast (1.5 days) and it deposited exactly the amount that was stipulated before. The only thing weird was that the payment reference did not say “this app” but the name of some other company.

This was my first transaction and it was so quick that I didn’t imagine that my money would be available next morning . This is amazing and I also got an amazing rate for first transaction . I did all the setup and everything in the website and then in Instarem I was able to see all updates . Pretty good !

To be honest, Instarem is providing the best rate with 0 fee. It may take little time for ID verification and may delay your first transaction. But after that it will be straight and you may get very few calls to verify that you are the one transferring money. The only thing I did not like is when you change password on your bank, it is hard for them to reset you bank details in Instarem since it is handled by third party.
