4.4 out of 5
App useless customer service less then useless

I noticed after not being able to access videos after that they recommended reaching out to customer service to those complaining. Have not heard back in a reasonable amount in time! Dekkoo does it better! Unfortunately as would love to access some of these documentaries and shows! May just need to contact apple to get money back! Giving them time to respond to this first!

Does NOT work properly!!!

HereTV crashes super often. It is loading in buffering all the time regardless of LTE or WiFi connection. When I skip forward to backwards it freezes every single time and I have to completely close it and start from the beginning. Super annoying, if I knew I would have never subscribed for the whole year. How hard is to fix a basic streaming app?!?! Please do it.

Poorly developed app.

First tried to sign up, app would not let me work left to right when putting in my birth date - Month, day, year. Had to first change the year then was able to able to put in my birth date.

Password creation required alphanumeric. Tried two different alphanumeric passwords, both were rejected. With all these issues just trying to create an account, I can’t imagine how awful it is to use.

Deleted.

Don’t even

Impossible to cancel your subscription with these people. No telephone support. Hideous customer service. I tried to cancel 6 months into the subscription, and I have pages and pages of “we’ll get back to you” emails. Still fighting with my credit card company 3 months after they said they resolved it. I canceled because the programming was marginal at best. Run away from these scammers.

Not Intuitive for us idiots.

I saw an ad on Facebook for something shades of gray. Was it "Fantastic Shades of Gray", couldn't remember the first word. It looked worth a shot. So I got HereTV . First, I couldn't get by the initial screen because there's a text box for birthdate, but you can't get by it no matter what format you use. I finally realize there's a separate selection area that's not intuitive. I search for "shades of gray" but nothing comes up; so I guess you have to know that first word; or perhaps maybe that's a slogan, not actually a program name? I tried to pick a show and watch, but nothing actually comes up but options... couldn't get to a show. I suppose I'm having a bad day and I'm an idiot. But this stuff is supposed to be idiot proof / intuitive.

Can’t stop subscription.

There is not a great deal of current content so I decided to cancel. The phone number on my receipt is not working. I tried two months to call, email anything to get my subscription stopped. Finally an email stating that my plan is cancelled yet two months later I am still getting charged and I am getting no response. This is not acceptable, and as content for LGBTQ+ is growing on other stations, this channel will become obsolete as their offerings are dated. So don’t sign up because you don’t have any way to stop $9.00 monthly for a channel you may not watch very much.

Fix this mess

This review has nothing to do with the content of the platform. No problem there.

HereTV itself, however, is horrendous. Every single time I open HereTV and try to watch something a pop up appears and asks me “love HereTV?” And every time I click NO it then asks if I want to talk to customer service. Again, my answer is no. What I want is to watch the content I paid for.

As if that wasn’t annoying enough, HereTV also CONSTANTLY logs you out. Every time I open it, regardless of which device I’m using, and after I answer that annoying aforementioned prompt, I then have to log in all over again before I can watch anything.

It’s ridiculous. It’s annoying. Y’all aren’t the only LGBT streaming service in the game. Maybe I’ll give OUT or Dekkoo my money instead.

App issues

HereTV needs serious updates/fixing. While I would like to watch many of the movies/series available the constant streaming is frustrating. All other apps work, no internet issues yet it consistently stops and takes way to long to load again. By the time it is ready, I’ve lost interest. Not sure it is worth the monthly fee to never make it completely thru a movie. Disappointed but hopeful it will be fixed promptly. Based on other reviews, same issues across the board.

HereTV Apple TV

Every day I have to reinstall HereTV on my Apple TV, log in and register the same Apple TV as a new device.

For some reason HereTV works fine when I first install it and log in, but as soon as even the following day after my Apple TV has slept for the night, when I try to use it again HereTV just loads indefinitely.

The only thing that seems to get it working again, deleting HereTV , than reinstalling HereTV and logging in again.
I would not mind if it did not also register the same Apple TV as a new device each time, using up my 8 allowed devices.

I should not have to take the further step each day or two, to log into Here TV with a browser just to delete a previous registered version of the same Apple TV.

Horrible App, Terrible Customer Service

The Here TV app has never worked properly on Apple TV for me. Nine times out of 10, the tiles in HereTV are blank (no pictures associated with them or descriptions) and sometimes not clickable. So when HereTV opens, you see faceless boxes that won’t open. I have to reboot my Apple TV for the content to come back, but that doesn’t always work.

I tried cancelling my annual subscription having asked for a refund, but it’s been 3 weeks with no resolution in sight. I’ve followed up 3 times with no word from the initial representative who forwarded my email to the billing group. This really saddens me because while there is value in the content, it’s now overshadowed by this negative experience.

So, I’ve paid for an app that works maybe 65% of the time. So, I don’t even bother opening it any longer. For an app called “HERE” TV, they’ve been anything but.

I’m really not a hater, and I rarely write reviews. But, I had to say something! If you’re considering to purchase HereTV, be forewarned! In fairness, HereTV does work in a browser environment. I’ve had no issues watching content on my iPad via Safari. But, I purchased HereTV to watch on my TV. Is that too much to expect from an app called Here TV?

App has major issues

I have enjoyed the movies in the past but now my iPad app is plagued with so-called geographic restrictions....hardly any of the movies actually play due to the restrictions but they DO work when I watch on my laptop, so obviously the movies are not truly restricted (obvious since I’m here in NYC anyway). Two emails to tech support have gone ignored.....is THIS what I pay for?

Can’t watch anything app won’t connect to my account

Been paying for HereTV, watched a few episodes of a show. Tried to log in and HereTV says I’m not a subscriber. I pay $7.99 a month for nothing, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled this horrible app. I just want to watch the shows and the movies, but can’t cause it doesn’t work so I’ll stop paying and watch something else!

Ok

The shows and movies on HereTV are great. But about a week in to my first months subscriptions I couldn’t stream anything. It would say “unable to fetch data.” And it’s been like that for most of the time I’ve had it so I haven’t been able to watch anything. I emailed the support address and sent a screenshot of what it was doing and they have yet to respond. I will not be renewing the subscription since it is not letting me watch anything.

Improve!

Exceptionally annoying app, especially on my Samsung TV. I’ve gotten an error message that I’m exceeding the two-device streaming limit, but I only have HereTV on my iPad and the TV, and I don’t use them at the same time, so what??? Then if you use the back button, it asks you if you want to exit and when you choose yes, it logs you out of HereTV and you have to log back in, which is really irritating. If you’re watching a series and stop to watch something else, when you are ready to resume watching, it defaults to the beginning of the series instead of where you left off. Seriously, I’m sorry I paid for an annual subscription, because I probably would have dropped it already due to how user-UNFRIENDLY it is. C’mon, girls, you can do better!

Buggy with subscription plan

This time closed captioning finally more feature font size. Only things I concern with subscription not work when Apple ID sign in. I try to subscription monthly and pop up error with existing user ID after I cancel and wait serval days. Already process this user is on subscription list on Apple App Store. I sign out HereTV and restore purchase without problem then I try Sign In with Apple ID said existing other same Apple ID user after subscription. I have Apple TV but I try use for Roku in other room or web browser on computer said need subscription and I paid for that through iOS Here Tv app.

Addressing some concerns

I went out on a limb to try something new. At first I was intrigued and a kind of excited when I found out about this streaming service. It would be nice if all of the episodes of the series was available or give notice when the next upcoming episodes will be available. I started a series that has six episodes available, I’m thinking ok this might be a good watch. Approximately three minutes into the first episode it’s ends. Each episode are about twenty minutes or more. I tried to restart them but once it ends HereTV would go directly to the next episode.

Need need NEED +10 & -10 Second Buttons!!

I really HOPE the developers read these reviews, as I feel this simple little change would only add SO much positivity to Every users experience!
We all have that “Woah! What was that!? or “Wait, what’d they just say!?” and/or a “Okay, okay, let’s get on with it!” moment while watching a show or video. These moments are what make a + or - 10sec button so VALUABLE to us! Plus it makes us feel more in control of our experience.
Sure, there is “progress bar” at the bottom that you can slide back or forward, but it is hard to navigate in small segments (such as 10sec) and when attempting to do so in HereTV, once getting to a somewhat satisfied spot, the show I am watching tends to freeze up with a never-ending purple pinwheel, and only way I’ve found to fix it, is close out HereTV , and return.

I would give HereTV a better rating if these buttons were available.
I really enjoy the endless content and diversity of what is available to watch on HereTV,,, these simple buttons would make our experience SO much better...

I hope you are listening, and hope to see BUTTONS on a very near update!!
Pretty Please

Great for Indy films!

HereTV is great if you're looking for some good Independent films! HereTV itself needs some work and has a few bugs but I'm sure the developer is working hard to get them fixed. Look forward to seeing what HereTV could become!

I wish I could watch Here on my tv without paying spectrum more money.

We have not seen a movie or documentary yet that hasn’t moved us. It is so nice to have a service that we can identify with with stories that relate to our lives. Glad you offered free access during June so that we could see what we were missing.
