Extremely Terrible

Ever since Avigilon switch to their cloud system it is nothing but a great frustration. On iOS it’s terrible that ACC does not work at all no matter how many times you uninstall and redownload. I agree with one of the user review 100%.

It is really frustrating that after spending 30K we face this kind of issues. Just because of we are not able to see what’s happening at our gas station with this terrible app we are on the way to change over to better option. I have been dealing this for over 3 years and have decided to exit slowly as I don’t have any hope Avigilon would improve.

Folks out there do not install Avigilon system. Find another option.

150 Cameras - Dumpster Fire of an App

Terrible. In a one word review ACC is simply terrible, and it’s embarrassing that a company of this size hasn’t been able to design a suitable app for remote access.

Never again will I install an Avigilon system - way too many other options out there to deal with an App that constantly crashes or locks you out of the system forcing you to delete ACC and redownload. It’s a joke and when you spend 75K on a security system you would expect that at a bare minimum you could watch remotely. Multiple business owner here - first and last time we install an Avigilon system.

Barely usable

ACC is barely usable. It has none of the features of the desktop application, is slow to respond, does not support search or scrolling of recorded video. In short, it provides no useful functions other than allowing Avigilon to state they have a mobile app. If you need a mobile app, then do not use Avigilon hardware.

Not All Cameras Showing

We have 202 cameras and only 68 of them show in ACC since switching to ACS. Recently ACC won’t even open at all. It just keeps crashing.

Update: (more than a month later)
After waiting over a month for an update the latest version now crashes each and every time. It’s been 2+ months without a working app. Verkada here we come.

App Broken

I’m running all latest versions of everything on servers and ACC still has issues connecting to web services. One site will load, others won’t. Then I relaunch app and different sites load and others don’t. ACC really needs some work considering the cost of Avigilon software and hardware. No value in ACC.

This app is massively unstable.

While Avigilon cameras are very dependable, the Mobile 3 app for viewing their images is just plain awful. We are able to successfully use it perhaps 1 in 10 attempts. It continually loses connection to the Cloud which makes any viewing of live or recorded events impossible.

Avigilon would be better off to totally scrap ACC and start over.

Push Notifications Are Useless

Push notifications can take up to 90 minutes to arrive. On average they take several minutes. The old app would send them in less than 2 seconds. A delay in notifications makes ACC nearly useless.

They also need to enhance ACC to open directly to a user defined view. Navigating menus wastes precious time when trying to manage critical alerts.

Performance also needs improvement. Why does it take 5 seconds to start a camera feed when you are on an isolated WiFi network directly connected to the server LAN?

Avigilon is failing to deliver on some of the most basic requirements of a mobile app. Such a shame.

Rarely Works

I have never had such a problem, accessing a security camera. The cameras themselves are great but every time you change your password, which is required every 90 days you lose access to those cameras.
I would be much better off buying a ring camera as opposed to these. And getting support is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Absolutely Worthless!

ACC needs major improvement. this app 2 was much better. App is super slow, disconnects from sites frequently. You can only have 6 cameras in a view. This is a major step back from this app 2. It’s a shame when you spend tens of thousands of $$$ on enterprise grade servers and cameras (Which are spectacular) but ACC made by the same company is absolute garbage. Please fix this, you owe it to your customers!

Constant issues

The mobile app is very poor and is constantly having issues with crashing or connecting to sites. If remote monitoring is on high on your list of requirements in a video security system. This is not for you. We were sold on the product and features of Avigilon and for the most part the on site system is pretty good and easy to use. This is app is trash though.

Embarrassing Mobile App

I don’t understand how UniFi Protect’s mobile app is LIGHTYEARS beyond Avigilon’s for a fraction of the cost??

The this app app is buggy, unintuitive and lacking many features compared to most residential systems let alone being the commercial system Avigilon is touted as. It has been like this for years…

ACC will be the driver for people to move away from Avigilon if they do not overhaul and modernize the current app in its entirety, we are already starting to direct people to alternatives as we have no explanation for why this app is so far behind on mobile.

App is garbage. Uses separate Avigilon account. Can’t remember password on iOS

ACC is totally unreliable. Constantly logs you out and cannot reconnect even though you can with the mobile safari version. Although, you can view live video on mobile safari…so again ACC needs major work. It was like leadership told engineering…we need an app so we can say we support iPhones…but then zero thought went into actually developing a solid user experience. Have been patient for a year waiting for some solid update s to fix. Nada. Buyer beware if you go avigilon and have admin who all use iPhones.

Decent when it works

This is an app that needs to work 100% of the time and at best it works 50% of the time. Do not rely on Avigilon for remote access to your system. If there is an active situation where you need to remotely monitor your cameras good luck. You will spend 10 minutes trying to re log in, delete and reinstall and maybe just maybe after the critical event is over you can see inside your building. You’ll never be able to trust ACC to relay positions to law enforcement.

The main software works just fine, but had I known remote access was this bad I would have never gone with Avigilon.

Absolutely useless app.

I have nearly $30k invested in my system and it is fantastic if I am sitting at my office desk looking at the system.

The mobile app is absolutely useless. It used to be spotty, but now it is perfectly consistent…. It cannot connect, ever. I am not sure if it is an app problem or an iOS problem, but come on, who doesn’t have a iPhone these days. You would think that ACC would at least work with that platform.

Anyway. I have to go drive to the office now because my alarm just went off and I cannot verify that it is all clear because I have no cameras to look at. Back to the 1970’s I go….

Horrible app. Hikvisions app puts Avigilon to shame

ACC is terrible. After years of bad reviews I don’t understand why Avigilon hasn’t put out a reliable and useful app. The desktop client is great. Avigilon has to be losing customers to Hikvision because of the mobile app. At Avigilons price point they should have a good mobile app.

Views

Can not view saved views (from control center client) on iPad app. You can only view six cameras at a time. Version 5 has a better camera view for iPad.

App is non functional

Constant no internet warnings. It’s broken guys. Hik vision is doing bettered than you and I love avigilon. I monitor dozens of avigilon customers. They can’t even have a workable mobile platform. What can I tell them? I have been in this industry for 16 years. I’ve seen the growth but you really need iPhone/android developers to sell and make this so called app work. It breaks every time we get pushed an update. It’s an unusable platform.

Better but needs more features

This most recent version fixed the connection issue (at least for direct IP connections) but ACC needs an overhaul. It would be great to be able to have search features like in the full this app client such as analytics event and alarm searches.

A few more items needed to get this working

GDMB is correct. If you add port 8443 to the normal ports used here and install the web endpoint service in the camera server, this works. Be sure to also use this port when attempting to add the site.

Much Better

We’ve been setting clients up on the old app for years since this has been kind of slow in development. So happy to see that they are no supporting live views for multiple cameras. One ask is that they hide standby connections in the camera list. We have cameras set to failover to another server if their primary goes down but that gives us duplicate camera entries in ACC .
