Dead app since Akamai acquisition

2022-05-25

Acquisition Sept 2019. No app updates, no macOS Safari extension available. Firefox extension not updated since Dec 2018. Chrome extension also appears abandoned.

Odd behavior with iOS 13

2022-06-26

I decided to give KryptonAuthenticator a try on my iPhone XR running iOS 13. Let’s just say it didn’t go well... Google Chrome would hang during setup & authentication on sites like Twitter and GitHub, I’d wind up with multiple entries for each site that never work. In the end, I just gave up and reverted everything back to my previous 2FA setup. If there was a way to reset KryptonAuthenticator to its initial state for situations like this, I might try Krypton again.

major accessibility issues.

KryptonAuthenticator has major accessibility issues. The 'Me' tab says little but 'nothing visible'. I could not make sense of it

Fairly good

2022-08-28

I like the idea, but KryptonAuthenticator has a really annoying bug: disabling the β€œapproved” notifications does not work, so you will be inundated with notifications of automatically-approved connections.

Works great but WAAAY to many notifications

2022-09-29

There doesn't seem to be any way to turn some of them off.

Works well but one issue

2022-10-30

A major issue I had is that when pressing the share public key button, KryptonAuthenticator crashes.

Great App

This is an amazing idea to make U2F on a mobile device. It actually works very well and quickly. Although, how would this work for when users signing in on a mobile device? When I tested this out on Google, it automatically switched to my secondary 2FA choice. Overall, this is a great idea and it works seamlessly. My one problem is getting it to work on mobile devices.

Useful, but also just really neat

If you’re a dev that always keeps your phone nearby, you need this. Works perfectly!

Also, all of my commits show as verified on Github now, which is really cool and kind of a fun thing!

Great app

I love the idea, and the developer support is great. I contacted them about an issue I had and received a response almost immediately (this issue was my fault, not theirs). Great UI too.

Thank you
