Every time I click “submit,” it crashes.
Trying make a report on Sludge left behind by the garbage truck, weekly, and when you try and add a picture, CHA311 just keeps the picture open and refuses to allow you to go further. You just have to start all over.
This is CHA311 you use to send your requests directly to the city shred bin. Nothing ever gets accomplished using CHA311. They just mark things complete without actually doing them. They’ll tell you your garbage bin wasn’t by the street when it has been for days. Or they’ll make up some reason not to do something. Anytime you (correctly) challenge them, you get gaslit by one of their incompetent reps. It’s your word against theirs. Of the 5-7 items I’ve put in, only one has actually been completed successfully, yet all have been marked complete. Zero follow up. If there was ever a case against government, CHA311 would work fine as evidence.
This is the third time Ive tried to use CHA311 on several different iphones. Various IOS, tried different settings with location services and notifications. I have never successfully submitted a request. I always get pop ups for "enter a valid address". My address has been valid since 1940. Ive never had any difficulty using it with anything else. Tried various forms of spelling of Road vs Rd, etc. No success ever getting past that point. Unless app. Deleting it, again.
Latest iOS, crashes on launch. Tried uninstall/ reinstall.

CHA311 is really poorly integrated into the city’s systems. Items are marked as complete when they haven’t even begun. The communication is counter intuitive. When you report issues to 311, they fall into a black hole. I have followed up on numerous issues, with at least 20 attempts to find out if there was a resolution. No response.
When a 311 rep comments and you comment back with a question, they will never reply.
CHA311 desperately needs an update for all the crashing issues.
AND, most-importantly, the city of Chattanooga needs to develop processes to support this technology. Without effective business process, any technology is useless.
CHA311 immediately closes when I try to open it. It’s updated to the newest version.
In the Bulk Trash and Yard Waste section of CHA311 , you do not have the option to select Bulk Trash or Yard Waste. There is no number to call to tell them. I assume my yard waste will sit there forever.
No place for general issues that you might want to report free text. And when I'm still filling out the stuff the whole app crashes. It's done this over and over...
Give us at least one area we can contact you in an area not listed by whoever developed CHA311 - they can't guess all our issues. This is as bad as some EMRs I know. I don't recommend wasting the space on your phone to get CHA311 as it is now. Worst case scenario, give us emails or phone numbers on CHA311 so we can actually contact someone.
Please get back to the drawing board and make us a useful communication tool!

I presume whoever wrote CHA311 was paid by taxpayers funds. I want my share of that back! CHA311 is a joke. I downloaded it and proceeded to report two large pothole/depressions in the pavement on N Terrace just after exiting from I24 to Belvoir. I was repeatedly sent back to the homepage and when I finally arrived at the “submit” bar I was instructed that an address had to be inserted into the location site. I performed this task again and again and again, yet it told me to put the location yet again! Another time I requested brush pickup and after filling in all the particulars the submit bar failed to send the report. What is the purpose of a city service app that does not fulfill its goal of helping Chattanooga residents. Again, CHA311 is worthless.
Not everyone has a newer phone that runs more recent versions of iOS, and there is no option to download an older version of CHA311 . Disappointing. App worked great when it worked on my phone. Easy to request waste pickup.
Every time I try to use the ap there’s a new bug. This time one of the required pages had no arrow or continue button. Very annoying. Had to email it in.
CHA311 works fine. It’s a little clunky, and as pointed out by other reviewers likely funded by taxpayer dollars, which may have resulted in subpar development. But it does work. I am a homeowner and so I’m reporting curbside pickup all the time and CHA311 works fine. The only big issue I have has nothing to do with CHA311 per se, but my address doesn’t register correctly. This happens in other mapping apps also, so it’s not a fault of CHA311, but sometimes the truck driver can’t find my place because of this issue. But I report things numerous time per year and it always gets picked up.. eventually.
The 311 ability to submit a request is helpful.
However, CHA311 photo is currently featuring Lincolnwood, Illinois, not Chattanooga.
There aren’t really issues with CHA311 . More so just the city 311 service itself can only handle pretty simple requests despite CHA311 showing more options

CHA311 is so helpful. It makes trash pick up/recycling/reporting issues easy!
I needed a trash bin for my new place so I put in a request, which was processed within 15 minutes. Got the bin the very next day! Couldn’t be happier with CHA311 .
I’ve been using CHA311 for about 4 months now and it’s been great! I’ve used it for requesting yard waste pick ups and the requests have been fulfilled on average within 2 days. Also used for recycle bin request and received that quickly as well. No complaints so far. Grateful this resource exists.
