(Reviewing the color version)
Needed something different for the wife/mom of the house... she has everything and is so tough to shop for... found this idea randomly online and it’s a huge hit!! My 7-yo loves sending messages to his Mom of playful graphics, colored messages, and selfies. Tried it from iOS devices old and new, and works great. Hit “Send” and 15 or so seconds later, the heart starts spinning.
It’s pricey but you are also paying for uniqueness and ease of use. My 7-yo does not have a phone but he can use LoveboxWidget on his iPad. The box is beautifully crafted wood and the screen looks great, though it does not take up the entire space. I can’t understand how people compare this to a phone picture message—you get those from literally everyone and when that phone is unlocked, the email opens, social media beckons attention, and the shared image is eclipsed. This is a distinct way to share a smile and it does. You can actually leave the phone on the side for once.
Customer service is great—had a question and received a well-articulated, professional response in less than 24 hours during a holiday weekend.
To the developer: A few added features I did not see would improve LoveboxWidget—ability to resend, custom/downloaded GIFs, different colored text from graphics, more flexibility of text placement, and audible alert.
