Boomerang is missing a function I assumed it had. Thus, my measly three stars are my own fault. I assumed.
I’d like to be able to specify the date and time the email appears in my inbox. That would be a great way to remind myself of a task I need to get done.
Instead, it sends an email from me
—to me—the moment it’s sent. I’m sure there’s a purpose for that, though I don’t know what it might be. The way I’ve been using it is to “snooze” the email I receive so it pops up as a reminder when I need it to.
It would be terrific to circumvent that extra step. Short of my missreading, Boomerang works EXACTLY as described.
Good successor to Captio that has not been updated & no longer works with several apps. Nor does Captio respond to requests for help.
this app was simple and working good but has stopped sending photos. One of my primary uses is sending pictures of receipts to my computer for expense tracking. App support link is a dead end. Feedback link in app gets no response.
Maybe this review will prompt a response.
Edit-developer did respond & mentioned poor upload bandwidth being a possible culprit. Subsequent testing on my part was successful & I’m back in business & giving the thumbs up for this app. Changing my 2 star rating.
I am always emailing myself web links or Reddit links. this app makes this as easy as it can get. You just select share, tap the this app icon, and then you are done. So simple and elegant.
Before using this app, I would have to tap share, then Gmail, start typing my email address so the auto fill would come up, then I have to type in the subject, and then hit send.
With this app, you just select share and then the this app icon, and then you are done! The email automatically gets sent to me with a subject and link.

For my sanity I don’t keep my email on my phone, but want to send stuff to myself for later. Great tool, works exactly as expected.
This is one of the most useful apps I’ve ever downloaded. Also very simple and easy to use. Beautiful in both simplicity and functionality.
this app is on my phone & iPad. Whenever I think of something I need or something I have to do when I’m not at my desk I simply open this app, send myself an email & the task is remembered & is done.

Quick emails to myself as reminders with 1 click. Cleaning out my inbox with a return option when it’s time to attack that one thing- wish I’d found this app years ago. Changes life and work and home.
Boomerang works well and makes a QuickNote for a reminder to your email, and that comes in handy for remembering things
this app is one of only a few apps I have ever recommended to my friends and family. No one should be without it on theirs phone. I can’t think of one thing I would change about this app. Thank you for making my smart phone even smarter.
This is one of those apps that fill a much needed void. It allows you to keep a track of things most important to you. Of course there are 100 ways to remember things and also saving internet links. But Boomerang simplifies all of that for you.
Have tried 4 times to launch Boomerang , but it sends the 4 digest 12 hours or not at all! No support site or support email.

Two feature requests:
1) add capability to assign a pre-fix and suffix to the subject. So if my subject was “Buy Flowers”, a pre-established suffix of “ on today” would result in a subject of “Buy Flowers on today”. There are some productivity apps ( GQueues for example ) that allow email based adding of tasks and they key off of certain phrases in the subject line.
2) allow multiple email connections. Most of us have Multiple email accounts ( personal and work ) and it would be nice to have a default account exile optionally selects an alternate account when needed.
I used another app with a similar function for almost 10 years, but it stopped working recently. So I found this app. This is awesome! Even better than the one I was using — and that’s saying a lot. Thank you!
Great tool when you want to remember something while on the go. Much better than e-mailing yourself from your e-mail account since the this app sender indicate that it’s something important and you can also set up automatic filtering and automatic actions.
This is a great app. Makes it super easy to email yourself stuff from various sites and apps. One enhancement I would like to see if the ability to preview the subject line before sending.
It would be cool if this was a feature you could turn on/off.
this app works well, is simple to use, and does exactly what I needed it to do. Often while I'm driving I'm thinking about things I need to do, but can't safely make a note at the time. this app works well with Siri and I can dictate my notes. When I get to the office, there is the email.
I had been searching for a way to easily email myself notes and reminders for years but never found anything until now. this app is the answer I was looking for. Thanks to the creator. Not the creator of the universe, for that is God's doing. ...But thanks to the creator of Boomerang . The glory of capitalism...which too is the creation of God.
It may be simple, but this app is one of the most indispensable apps on my phone. I use it many times a day to capture ideas, reminders, notes, etc., to deal with later as part of my email processing. It’s being actively maintained, too... in fact the developer just put out a major revision. Much appreciation for Boomerang!
Upgraded from an older App that did the same thing (Captio). This does the same thing, and does it with a better interface and more options. Look forward to trying Siri integration!
It would be nice if Boomerang offered a widget for the Today screen. Not sure if iOS allows it, but if you could type and send a note to your self from the widget that would be pretty useful.
These a few of these apps now but I’ve been using this one for years and it’s still the simplest and best.
For example for this one you can have your note appear in the subject line of your received email.
So you can see it quicker in your inbox. Not just a string of “note to self”’s.
Also there’s no extra wording sent with the note so it’s very clean and simple.
Works great with Siri.
One request I would make is that we were able to have a second email as an option.
And an ipad version. Although itworks on the iPad, 90% of the text is covered up.
