Unable to take photos with swoop

Since upgrading to the iPhone 15 pro, my swoop has been unable to take photos through swoop app itself. I’ve updated my phone to latest iOS version. Swoops most current version, but anytime I try to use the camera SwoopTowing crashes.

They don’t care. Spend your money on another service…

My business gets multiple calls a day from Swoop employees and clients looking for a tow all across the nation. My company is not a tow company. Somehow our number was added by mistake. For months I’ve attempted to ask their employees to remove us, asked managers to call me, reached out to their parent company (who is impossible to contact), and submitted a ticket that’s been in their system for at least 2 months now. I know this because I chatted with another employee today who saw the submitted ticket.

These people can’t be bothered to do an incredibly simple thing. I must have reached have reached out at least 20 times about this and we still get calls every day from their employees and desperate clients who are stranded somewhere. How can you rely on a company like that to help you in your time of need?

Apple phones with swoop

Everyone at my company that has an iPhone is have issues with the latest update. SwoopTowing keeps crashing every time that I go to take a picture. I have to keep going into the call every picture verses how I used to be able to take all the pictures at once! I now have to take one picture at a time and being on the side of the highway that makes my job harder and more dangerous!

Deceptive Contracting Tactics

Swoop asked our company to fill out a sheet with our rates. Apparently they wanted to waste our time because they didn’t really want a spreadsheet with our rates, they had hopes that we would contract with them and lower our rates for them. They promptly counter-offered rates and desperately wanted us to put our dedicated employees lives on the side of the interstate and accept peanuts for endangering the lives of the employees of our company. The lives of your beloved employees, the folks who work as basically knights n shining armor to the stranded motorist, don’t have much worth to the folks at Swoop who desperately want you to agree to lower your rates. They desperately want to devalue your services, and turn a profit on your willingness to endanger the lives of your family and employees for meager wages.

ONE MAJOR FLAW

Agero Swoop has a MAJOR flaw that needs to be fixed asap. I don’t always get job notifications and I miss out because of it. Agero swoop has it so that, when it actually works, you get a notification from your app and you get a text message that they’ve assigned you a job and are requesting an eta. But sometimes it never comes through! I’ve rest my phone, updated my iPhones software, deleted and redownloaded SwoopTowing , and I make sure my notifications are on, location is always on, and background app refreshes are on. I’ve done everything I can think of but a lot of times recently, I don’t get a notification nor a text. So I miss out on jobs. I’ve got to constantly be on alert checking SwoopTowing . It’s exhausting. You guys need to fix this ASAP!

So many issues - but forced to have app.

1.) If you keep location setting to always allow, like Agero advises you have to — SwoopTowing NEVER actually closes. Ever. Even when you think it is, once you Lock Screen - it reopens app. Tried on multiple phones. If you don’t have Always Allow on, then you don’t get credit for Agero’s Location Based Tracking - and get dinged.

2.) “Auto Assigning” status occurs when new job offers come in, when they come in under this status…you can’t accept/bid the job. BUT Agero still counts that job against your acceptance.

3.) Photos - the photo part lags & you can’t actually see the entire photo while you’re taking it. Then you don’t even know if the photo saved to the all, as it can take a LONG time before SwoopTowing uploads the photo. PLUS, there is no way to upload photos from your phones photo album, which would make photos SO much easier.

4.) Incomplete list of cancel/goa/unsuccesful statuses. Need to cancel because the dispatch says Toyota Camry, but it’s actually a Freightliner RV?? Well, you can only pick cancel codes that blame the provider— nothing like “incorrect dispatch”.

Cheapest bidder

SwoopTowing makes jobs disappear after you already excepted and gave an ETA put yourself in route two blocks from location job disappears from your screen and you keep going to the location and someone else who isn’t even from the area is hooking up the car with that same PO# no GOA no enroute mileage ,no CALL ,nothing they just leave you hanging this industry is being destroyed by companies like these you can’t even get paid a fair rate it’s unbelievable SwoopTowing for a company like mine is murder....

Bad

Way too many bugs now and it’s killing our business. Crashes on vin scanner, crashes on customer signature, doesn’t send text message tracking link to customer if you dispatch from SwoopTowing , crashes when you go to take a picture, now it’s randomly crashing just when opening SwoopTowing , very slow to load back up after refreshing SwoopTowing or uninstalling, won’t give you any suggestions when you go to type in the vehicle information(used to do that before the update), very bad technical support and haven’t yielded any results after reporting the issues multiple times and being assured they’re “releasing a fix to it at the end of the week(last week).” Been with them for over a year, everything was fine before the most recent update, but now I’m starting to want to change to a different software. We’re literally miserable right now. iPhone 7 Plus.

Unimpressive

SwoopTowing is so basic it’s embarrassing.
I feel like they were trying to accomplish a “minimalistic” style, they missed the mark by a long shot, it’s not minimal it’s just basic, boring and lacking a lot of necessary and useful features.
We should be able to access alot of our important and useful information that we need we need.
Chat integration into SwoopTowing is a necessary and absolutely needed integration!

GPS not updating

We have been using his app with swoop for several years now have always had issues with the GPS not updating other than that it works great. On the fleet tab it says the drivers GPS isn’t updating and after so long my drivers disappear off the map. We have reported the problem to the PAG but no luck on a resolution and this has been going on for over a month now. It is effecting our call volume and our location based tracking. I thought maybe I would have a better chance at getting this issue fixed by letting someone know on this platform. I will be glad to update my review and rating if you could reach out to me to resolve this issue. Things we have tried
1. Updating SwoopTowing
2. Removing SwoopTowing and reinstalling
3. Force close SwoopTowing and reopen (used to work but doesn’t anymore)
4. Use the demo job feature (this works but they only stay visible about 12 min then it won’t update anymore)

Agero & Swoop

If you’re here because AGERO: they are a huge company full of scammers!!! When supervisors authorize additional payments by email, Agero will NOT pay them. You ever wondered why you can’t submit Agero’s Invoices through swoop? Because they have their system rigged up. Swoop isn’t that bad but they are followers of Agero so be cautious with both!

Cant take pictures for pickup and drop off

Recently i updated SwoopTowing to the latest version 3.84.3 and i was surprised that i couldn't take pictures i suspect my phone so i restart it but same thing i even tried to update my iOS it turns out its SwoopTowing issue

Wrong location

I have had some give the operator their info , only for the operator to put the wrong address in as a pin drop. Had me all over the place . Lucky I spoke with the customer and they gave me directions to their actual location. And in some cases they put the wrong type of job the customer needs also. They put a jumpstart when the customer needs a tow. Then they reduce your pay and consider the service you provide unsuccessful.

Great but lacking

Would’ve been five stars, but for some reason, no notifications work from SwoopTowing when hooked up to a CarPlay radio which all new vehicles have CarPlay

Good

The only issue I have with SwoopTowing is the signature box on my iPhone 13 promax only lets some sign on the left hand side of the screen when it's rotated

Swoop app

Calls do disappear but it’s because customers cancel. Aside from that I think a weather delay alert would be nice even though as a towing operator you should always use your best judgement to tow safely in bad weather. GPS can’t be trusted either, at times it’s not accurate with addresses so it’s good to develop your own navigation skills to save yourself time and unnecessary miles. Any time there’s issues e-mail the tech support team. They are great at responding but do be patient as they are dealing with a staff shortage as well. Thank you Swoop. Now if better pay was available for the more dangerous and heavy loads, on the sides of highways etc. Work in progress I suppose

Easy app to use.

This has been an easy app for us to use in our business. We’ve had no major problems with it. However, I got a new iPhone 15 and it will not allow me to take pictures. Every time I try to take a picture. It kicks me completely out of SwoopTowing . I have made sure my phone is up-to-date and that SwoopTowing is completely up-to-date. I have signed out and then re-signed in. I have been deleted SwoopTowing and then installed it again, and still have not been able to take pictures. Anyone out there that can help you with this?

They jumped right in this and it is now fixed! Nice work Swoop!!!

Great Company and App

Great company! Only worry is we been with swoop for almost 2 years and they cannot find my provider Id. Other then that this is a great company. I have some game changer ideas that would change the game in roadside assistance. I been in this field for over 6 years and boy have I closed some gaps. I would love to partner with Swoop/Agero to implement on an large scale. This will cut turnovers, cancelations and speed down to half. Completion rate will sky rocket. The motor club will be vary profitable with this type of model. I didn't go in detail for a reason.

UPDATE:
With the recent release it’s finally alerting me to calls on my iPhone. It’s truly a mobile dispatch dream. I even saw a request for a quote arrive and was able to dispatch it from the restroom.
Now if it could only answer phones when I’m in there...
Well as a dispatcher it's intuitive and easy to use. We've only been using it for a day for motor clubs and police storage and it's gone fairly smoothly. Supposedly our answering service has it and will be sending us calls after hours, but we haven't gotten that hooked up yet. It needs a module for lien sales, but we'll have to use a separate program for that for the time being.
As a driver, SwoopTowing for me gives no notifications of any kind when a call comes in. No banner, alert, nothing. It's enabled in iOS settings in two different places. Nothing. Don't know if this is a bug on their end, my end, an oversight, or what. I do love the VIN scanner though.
Great job so far.
Extra star for developer response.
We also need a more direct way to print an invoice on releasing a vehicle.
