This dramatic landscape testifies to nature's size, beauty, and diversity--huge mountains, rugged foothills, deep canyons, vast caverns, and the world's largest trees. These two parks lie side by side in the southern Sierra Nevada east of the San Joaquin Valley. Weather varies a lot by season and elevation, which ranges from 1,370' to 14,494'. ##Notes Download the app before you arrive. Cell service and Wi-Fi are extremely limited in the park. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

I jumped head first into a hike with disregard...and the app was able to locate me via gps and the map worked fine. There is no service in the park. This worked fine without service. It’s free. What more can you ask for?

This is a great app in theory, but a few days after I installed it the app was STILL tracking my position. It tracked me all the way home (200+ miles), no idea what the data is used for. Would recommend with caution or limit its access to your position only when using the app.

There’s nothing in the app - just pictures of trees. I select download on the third screen and it indicates it successfully downloaded but there’s nothing there. It looks nothing like the pictures of the app in the App Store. I tried deleting and reinstalling- still nothing.
