I've had nothing but problems with The Athletic's billing. You were billing me 3 times, I'm but one person. AMEX helped me cancel two of them, I'm still being billed monthly for the 3rd one. But in lieu of allowing me to log in, you want me to sign up for another subscription. Either fix the problem or cancel my account. Last payment was $7.99 on April 28, AMEX. Your phone number on their web site is bogus (415 891-7341.

For the past month or so, stories have failed to load, or they begin to load and then go blank. It’s gotten worse in the past week - at first this only happened randomly to certain stories, but now it happens all the time.

How to fix The Athletic app crashes or not working on Iphone (iOS):

Close and restart the The Athletic app on iPhone
Update The Athletic app to the Latest Version for iOS
Uninstall and reinstall The Athletic iPhone app
Update your iPhone to the latest iOS version

Fix The Athletic on iPhone unable to connect to server/internet connection issues::

To resolve The Athletic network issues, Reset phone network settings:
1. On iphone, goto Settings » General » Reset » Reset Network Settings.
2. Enter device passcode » confirm [Reset Network Settings].

Turn off iphone VPN:
1. Goto Settings » General » VPN

1. On android, goto Settings » The Athletic » click [Force Stop]

Update The Athletic to the latest version on PlayStore

Clear The Athletic App Cache and Data:
1. On android, goto Settings » Apps » The Athletic » Storage » click [Clear Data] option. This clears both data and cache.
2. restart The Athletic.

On android, goto Settings » Apps or Manage Apps tab.
Click The Athletic » [Force Stop]
Next, goto Storage » click [Clear Data]
Again, goto The Athletic » Mobile Data » [Allow Background Data Usage].
Go back to Settings » Connections » Mobile Network » Network Mode. Change the network to 4G e.g. LTE/3G/2G (auto connect)
