This was a post on FB and I had to hit em. The store was in close proximity to work. All reviews about the place are great, and true! Great crawfish. Awesome flavor and smoothest peel! A bit pricy, but in his defense, still early in the season! Highly recommended!!

The Crawfish App: I am a true connoisseur. Born and raised in South LA. I have made an attempt to stop at EVERY place that sells “to-go.” I’ve been from Chalmette to Lake Charles, from Grand Isle to Natchiotches. I came smell them for miles. If you boil em— I’ll test em! I have an addiction, but considered healthy😎. Thanks for giving me another option—I look forward for more reports from your services. If you need pointers.... holla at ya boy!

So, we went to a place to get crawfish based on the good reviews (high rating for size and flavor) listed on TheCrawfishApp. The reviews (three in total left at the beginning of 2020) on TheCrawfishApp all raved about the crawfish at this particular place being large and flavorful. They were the exact opposite. They were small, did not have much flavor at all, and they were mushy. I could barely peel them. I ate about 10 then gave up, which I NEVER do, even if they are tiny.

I got on TheCrawfishApp to leave a review for this particular place based on my experience. I wrote the review, and clicked submit. The review did not post. Went back and checked, still not posted. It made me wonder, since TheCrawfishApp will not let an everyday consumer such as myself leave an honest review and the reviews on TheCrawfishApp are completely misleading, are crawfish vendors paying the owners of TheCrawfishApp to leave themselves good reviews in order to increase their business? Hmm.

Needless to say, I won’t be using TheCrawfishApp again.

When they first opened we tried their crawfish and instantly became addicted! The crawfish are big and delicious! Spicy but not too spicy! We also enjoy their interesting fixing choices. They have the normal potato’s, corn, and garlic... but they also added black oils, carrots, broccoli, and my favorite.. yams! We enjoyed the seafood again last night for Ash Wednesday and we will continue to eat it every Friday through lent (and maybe during the week too! 😂). Thanks Cody B’s Market for bringing some good crawfish and wonderful family environment to Belle Chasse!

We ordered 3 sacks of crawfish today and the crawfish were all very good size with more than half of each sack being large crawfish. They were super tender, very few crawfish were dead in the sack and the service we received was good. We ordered through them based off of other reviews and had to make sure we submitted a review. The size of the crawfish for the price is better than we priced anywhere else in the greater BR and Ascension Parish Area. We are very impressed and will be back!

Omg! If you’ve never had crawfish full of seasoning w/ their own awesome & unique flavor, u must try these! I had my first batch from here on yesterday & the smell alone had me gone. The flavor was soooo good & the crawfish were a very nice size. Chef KP is the best chef I know hands down period! When it comes down to boiling crawfish his seasoning is to die for. Don’t forgot about all the other fixings! Their fried ribs & meatballs are simply #1, they’re delicious!!! I eat his cooking on a regular basis, where ever he locate I follow. Always satisfied!!!!

The absolute best and most consistent taste around . We like to try new places just for the experience but this is my all time go to spot!
Pretty sure this is a family run business, with the exception of the rudest man who always serves the shrimp outside at the tent ( almost comical - consistent with the soup nazi ) but the ladies up front are super sweet and the boilers and sack runners are super courteous. Not to mention the best price around. You won’t be disappointed

We have never purchased crawfish from Crawfish Boss. We’ve seen the lines of cars. We had family in and picked up 40 lbs. Size of the crawfish was perfect. Big crawfish but they were easy to peel. They were packaged well which kept them hot. The spices were just right (we chose spicy). The potatoes and corn were excellent. The garlic was the only disappointment. There was only one clove still intact. We’ve made Crawfish Boss our only go to for crawfish.

TheCrawfishApp NEVER has accurate prices or sizes for that matter. If you would like to buy crawfish, google local seafood vendors or use the phone book. It cannot be less accurate than TheCrawfishApp is. For TheCrawfishApp owners, if you put some effort into being 100% accurate you would have a real gem here. I’ve had TheCrawfishApp for some time now and I can honestly say it has NEVER been accurate. Don’t care if the vendors don’t report the correct numbers, as owner of TheCrawfishApp one should put in the effort to ensure you are delivering a quality app to the public. Too bad. Like I said before this could have been really special.

This is the perfect springtime Louisiana app to help locals find the best crawfish in town. Lately there has been some bugs (no pun intended) though. I’m hopeful they will be resolved soon. I also think it could be improved by only using reviews for the current season (or adding a “filter by current season” check box to the settings).

Overall, highly recommend TheCrawfishApp and hope it continues to improve for many crawfish seasons to come!

TheCrawfishApp is easy to use and deserve a 4-star rating. Missing one star because information is updated only one per week. Price can change almost daily during season wo would be nice to get quicker update. I would suggest letting user/buyer update price and app can push a notification to business that signed up with them to confirm. Doing so would benefit both sides.

After hearing so many talk about how good this place was, this Cajun finally got 5lbs to go and try at home. After the first two I thought why did I not buy more! Best crawfish outside of Louisiana! Easy to peel, clean and tasted sweet and spicy! Even the fat was fantastic! I’ll be back and buying way more! Don’t pass this place up! Hans knows what he’s doing when it comes to boiling crawfish!

TheCrawfishApp needs to lets users update prices! Many vendors haven’t updated their prices, so for half of the vendors it says “Price Unavailable” or has prices listed from a few weeks ago. Plus, there are vendors in my neighborhood who aren’t listed, and there is no way to add them and update their prices.
Finally, TheCrawfishApp review button needs to say “Review TheCrawfishApp” because most of TheCrawfishApp reviews are from people who are trying to review vendors. This means the vendor reviews aren’t linked to their profiles, and results in inaccurate ratings for TheCrawfishApp itself. Terrible UI flaw that appears dishonest!!!

Hard to beat an awesome App like this one. Nice to locate the best price and also who has crawfish without having to burn up fuel trying to find. The other feature that is nice is the quickest and the route from where you are to the busness that has them available. Going to be hard to find an app better than this one for sure!

Born and raised in south Louisana and this is the best place I’ve bought boiled crawfish, ever! Seriously. Seasoned, great. Size, great. The guys are so nice it’s ridiculous! Super convenient, since it’s at Ragusa’s. I was blown away. The guy brought my crawfish and shrimp out to my car and saw I had a low tire...he put air in it!! I will literally never buy crawfish anywhere else. Try it folks. You won’t regret it!

I love the concept of TheCrawfishApp but I believe there’s something missing. When checking the prices, I believe they should tell you the date that the vendor updated the price. I checked TheCrawfishApp , then called the vendor to find out that the price shown was outdated. I also believe there should be an option, when searching an area, to sort by distance OR by time of last update...
That’s all I’ve got.

I live in Spring, and after a team out here couldn’t service my pre-order I called around and the team at Dat’s Cajun Cooking came through in the pinch for me on Memorial Day. The team at Dat’s Cajun, came through with 3 live sacks at an unbeatable price, and the crawfish were huge. Will use again.

TheCrawfishApp is a great idea. Even though we only buy our crawfish from one place in town I like the fact that I can see everyone’s prices. Unfortunately, the prices listed are incorrect even when you only check TheCrawfishApp on Fridays when prices are updated. In our town prices are updated on Tuesdays. When I called on a Friday to reserve a bag the price was significantly lower than TheCrawfishApp listed. Almost a dollar lower. I wish TheCrawfishApp functioned properly. Hopefully the issue is resolved soon.

I've been using TheCrawfishApp for a few years. Has been very helpful in seeing othe places nrarby. This year, I’ve decided to go to a different place and have been very pleased with the boiled crawfish taste, price.

Has any thought been given to expanding TheCrawfishApp to also cover crabs?

Very handy and generally accurate EXCEPT that I
do find that the ratings are sometimes overly generous. I have my standard three or four reliable places and I mostly use TheCrawfishApp to check prices. Now we just need one for king cakes!

Cubs Crawfish constantly has the best boiled crawfish they don’t scrimp and use quality seasonings and use their many years experience in cooking it just right. If you do not like authentic Cajun “spicy“ Crawfish period in a fun entertaining friendly environment. I don’t know what to tell you. Cubs is love by the locals and there’s one of Pensacola’s best kept secrets.

Justin knows how to boil crawfish the way we like it In South Louisiana. And he’s loyal to be there every weekend during crawfish season but you better get there earlier call first because they’re so good they can sell out. Then for your convenience you can walk right inside of Carter’s and get all the trim and you need

What a fantastic application! “Who’d a thunk it?!” It’s better than the best “dating application” because it opens new doors to unknown stores for this omophagonizing treasure, and provides the prices as well. I don’t know how I survived my first 70 years without it! (Next, we need one for blue crabs, callinectes sapidus, The ‘tasty, beautiful swimmer’!) Tom Wall, Madisonville, LA.

It’s very nice being able to search for live or boiled crawfish. However, the prices seem to all be unavailable. There should be a way for me to report prices, for others to see, once I call and restaurant and know the price. There are also opportunities for UI refinement, but overall, a very functional, practical application.

Hot tails is the place to be! Super friendly staff and amazing food! Seasoned to perfection! They treat everyone like family!! Go check them out! You will not be disappointed. I’ve tried several places and this is the only place that has not disappointed me!

They advertise on TheCrawfishApp “large” but they were far from it. 2/3 were small at best.

They still boiled up well but we had a lot larger average in the last sack we got at Rouses.

We paid a little higher price compared to other stores thinking they would be larger on average. Had I known the size I probably would have stuck with Rouses.

Momma was looking for Crawfish. Lost Cajun is the place for Crawfish. Recipe made by the Owner with his customers in mind. He goes all out in making sure that the spice is on point. Their sample tray is cute and delish. Service is fabulous, Jericka was amazing. Family friendly atmosphere. Love it. Will be back soon.

There are a lot of restaurants and other vendors listed “out for season”. If you’re a restaurant that has crawfish, how do you modify that setting to reflect availability? There aren’t any options to do so.

I work in a very high volume restaurant that serves a lot of crawfish, and this is a significant app problem. I’ll share your app with A LOT of people, but this needs fixed.
