Constant connection issues
2022-05-21
by Faraday3
Once the HA are connected it seems fine but after charging the HA overnight the connection on one or both HA is lost. Then the hokey pokey begins. I usually just give up. Also, the charging case appears to be needed in any attempt to reconnect the HA to ReSoundSmart3D . That means one is to always have the charging case available at all times? Not taking it with me while out all day. Very disappointed and frustrating Update 02/05 hit or miss on phone connection. Most of the time one or the other will show up as disconnected. On the plus side had HA’s changed to control volune, right up, left down. Another minus, cannot answer a phone call bia the HA’s as I could with my Phonak HA’s. So if my iPhone is in another room I need to go find it to answer a call. If Phonak can. Answer via the aids, why not Resound? App is less than average. 3/27: ReSoundSmart3D rarely stays connected to the aids. Most every morning need to do the Resound hokey pokey, in case, out of case, settings, pair, in case, out of case, yada yada … ridiculous. Would like these hearing aids and the Phonak app which worked all the time.
The developer response for the connection issue doesn’t provide any answer to the connection dropping issues. How to connect is explained in ReSoundSmart3D or other. I rarely use ReSoundSmart3D because of issues. As long as they stay connected to the iPhone is all the matters.
Find My Hearing aids is worthless

The first time I lost a hearing aid, it was be a sushi was trying to adjust it and it dropped next to our dog, who was sitting below me. She looked down, and I leaned over to find it, to no avail. After looking for it for an hour, it hit me that the dog could have gulped it down thinking it was food or a toy. The only way to tell was to turn off my other hearing aid and take her for a walk. This stupid app was no help. The red bars kept going back and forth and the left bar seemed to get longer as we got further away. I held the phone down and the darn thing was red. I paid $406 (Christmas day at an animal hospital) to find out she didn’t have it. Now the left aid is missing. The little indicator says both are here. The red lines just go back and forth. I turned My other hearing off to see if it made a difference. ReSoundSmart3D is worthless, and I am more than frustrated. By the way, the first time the hearing aid got lost, I did find it, where it landed in a decoration. Don’t laugh.
Unacceptably poor performance

by Hoosierbluesman
I have used ReSoundSmart3D since it became available and it has never performed reliably. It has always had significant issues with connection and access and operability. Most recently and profoundly frustrating Lee the application now regularly requires me to completely repair my hearing aids. This problem persists even after uninstalling and reinstalling the application and turning on and turning off the hearing aids and the Bluetooth on my phone. I use the streaming function and this application very regularly every single day and this poor performance is a substantial frustration for me. Please dedicate more resources to development on this important application soon.
Worst App

by Saalllly
This is the worst app! Unreliable. If I had known ReSoundSmart3D was this bad, I would have requested a different brand from my audiologist. Even though the hearing aids show connected to my iPhone, they often don't connect to ReSoundSmart3D . Sometimes they will connect right away. Other times I have to go through the process of turning Bluetooth off and then back on again, shutting down ReSoundSmart3D , restarting the phone, turning the hearing aids off and then back on. Sometimes I have to do this more than once to get them to connect. Other times, ReSoundSmart3D will show " audio streaming" when there is no audio playing on my phone and all other apps are shut down. I may have to go through the whole process above to get them to show "All Around." I would love to be able to put the aids in in the morning, connect to ReSoundSmart3D , and go. Sometimes I can. Other times it takes me 10 minutes to get it all working right. And sometimes in the middle of the day, it disconnects. I need ReSoundSmart3D to use the noise filter. By the way, I consider myself tech savvy so this is not the problem.
Worst hearing aides I’ve owned and the app is even worse

by Mad Mud Crab
I’ve owned these hearing aides for nearly 2 years and they’re not even remotely close to being decent. Multiple times a week, and often multiple times a day, I’m forced to delete ReSoundSmart3D and start over. Even after doing this 4-5 times, they refuse to connect to Bluetooth. Sick of messing with them in all honesty. I should not have to uninstall, and install ReSoundSmart3D day in and day out to use these $5k hearing aides. Maybe, just maybe ReSoundSmart3D , and aides will work for 2 days maximum before I’m forced to do this routine of deleting and reinstalling. Even then my chances of them working for 3 days straight are less than 20%. I would never recommend these aides to anyone. You’d expect with todays technological advancements, something as simple as Bluetooth connections wouldn’t be this difficult. I’m in desperate need of these to hear, but all I get is a loud squealing noise with no ability to control them through ReSoundSmart3D. Never again will I waste my money on these….never!
I would love to give this app 5 stars, but deserves no stars

When it works, its amazing app. I cant say enough what it does for us that have resound hearing aids. Those that know me and have hearing aids of different makes… are jealous and want them with ReSoundSmart3D……….BUT…. We have received a iso update to 15.4. And that was the end of a fantastic app… it does not connect to hearing aids. I email support and was give a direction to delete and reinstall the hearing aids (thumbs up for quick response on the weekend) well all went well, until the next day. Same thing, would not connect…. Removed everything again and reinstalled… worked again until next day….. same thing. WE need a update !!!!!! To ReSoundSmart3D … we spend thousands on these hearing aids … you would think you would support us by keeping software up to date!!!!
Painful struggle to get things to work

by Fozzy
The amount of fiddling to make things work is excruciating! I’ve been using Evoke for the past three years and never had this level of frustration getting them to work with their app. ReSoundSmart3D sees that the HA are connected to the phone (iOS 15.2, HA report up to date) but I have to restart and restart to finally get ReSoundSmart3D to connect. The it switches between programs on its own. Connecting to TV streamer is another wild ride (why does the phone have to be involved with the TV streamer? That seems to make no sense to me either. Anyhow I’m in a trial period and if this continues the $6,000 experiment will most like fail.
Could use a lot of work

ReSoundSmart3D has to be deleted and reloaded onto the phone quiet often due to connectivity issues with the hearing aids. Also there should be a feature that resets your changes to the volume or bass after you stop streaming music or a video. If I make changes while watching Netflix to the things like the bass or volume, I have to go in and change them back to how I had them set for my hearing own my own. Yes you can save favorites but music and videos need different adjustments to sound levels sometimes so making favorites isn’t a good solutions. I have used other apps for the Evolv hearing aid brand that would automatically reset your settings when you stopped streaming and it was way more convenient. I love the hearing aids but I am thinking of returning them because of how much work ReSoundSmart3D needs and it’s the main way you control the hearing aids. Definitely needs improvements.

The Resound One aids I was fitted with 3 weeks ago were not much better than Resound aids I had purchased over 3 years ago from Costco, so I will be returning them - and hopefully getting credit since I was told by the Resound corporate location that these were a ‘new and improved’ technology and would out perform my 3 year old Costco aids. Please note that I’ve also tried two other major hearing aid brands and didn’t find those to be much better, which is why I decided to try the Resound One’s. My audiologists have told me that I have severe and profound hearing loss, so this process only confirms that there doesn’t appear to be a technology that can adequately compensate for my hearing loss. I believe my only option at this point may be to look at a Cochlear implant in the near future. Although I plan to try another major brand aid that claims to have a technology that allows those with severe and profound hearing loss to be able to hear and understand individuals wearing ‘masks’ - which seems very encouraging, so we’ll see how this trial goes. Sorry for the long review. JS
I’d used ReSoundSmart3D successfully since receiving my hearing aids over 3 years ago, and had no problems until after the most recent IOS update to v15.4. Immediately afterward, ReSoundSmart3D was no longer detecting the devices. After a few failed attempts to re-sync them, I deleted the program, restarted the phone, downloaded ReSoundSmart3D again, but synchronization still didn’t work. I’ve made multiple attempts since then, and even cancelled and re-synced them with the iPhone itself (under “Accessibility” in “Settings”), but ReSoundSmart3D either doesn’t detect them at all, or only sees the device for my right ear.
Been satisfied until now…

I have had my hearing aids since July 2020, and have been using ReSoundSmart3D with no problem. Just within the last couple of months while on the phone, one of my hearing aids will continuously go in and out, and sometimes in the morning they will not connect to ReSoundSmart3D . I find it quite annoying that all of a sudden this is happening. I also find it quite annoying that 99% of the responses to the consumer is to contact you about the problem. Why can’t you post it here so other people that are having these problems can read it also? It’s one thing to pay almost $6,000 for hearing aids but then you have an app that doesn’t work…that stinks, y’all need a new IT team!
Works for me!

The Costco Audiologist initially recommended another brand. Since it was my first hearing aid adventure I was learning. After three months I returned them because the software did not function properly. Also, I know now that they were not comfortable.
I’ve been wearing these GN resound hearing aids for a year now with no issues, and will buy another pair in two years when our insurance plan covers the cost. I love that they go in the charger every night and are ready when I wake up. The software allows me to cut background noise in a restaurant. Also, I can hit a speech clarity switch at night when I’m watching TV and it hones into it.
It’s been a great purchase for me.

I have been wearing Resound Hearing Aids for the past fifteen years. I suffer from a high frequency hearing loss. I believe I am on my 6th pair now and the first rechargeable pair I have owned. I had no trouble installing batteries, but I like the rechargeable pair. Bluetooth has been a great feature for me when using my cellphone. To get full benefit from hearing aids you must use them daily. I have never had to get my hearing aids repaired except for bad speaker wires. I love the Resound brand. Ed Lee
Much improved hearing

by WE12345678999
This is a great way to improve tv hearing. You can adjust the volume, select either or both on/off, reduced surrounding noise, allow the tv volume to be off while streaming with the hearing aids.
The restaurant setting is also great. It increases the hearing by the various settings.
The one thing I dislike is that occasionally one aid will disconnect and I will have to turn the phone off and then back on to reset the aids to normal.
My first pair of behind the ear resounds I bought three years ago. They worked fine for a while and then they started fading in and out with sound correction. I finally got my provider to send them in and there was a controversy Esther were there there was a problem. But I finally convinced them that there was and apparently they tested it for that and I got I believe a whole new unit inside my old ones was probably updated. It has worked quite well. I still have problems hearing but it’s probably not the hearing aid it’s probably just my physical condition. My big problem is they no longer will communicate with my iPad and only my iPhone I’ve tried rebooting putting on another app all to no avail I will put up with that, but it’s not the best situation.
No hearing aid gives you normal hearing, but this one is as good as it gets.
2023-09-05
by PapaSauli
They’re still far from giving you normal hearing, but the Bluetooth connection to the iPhone certainly enhances aspects of hearing such as the TV streamer and the induction coil in public places, the restaurant mode (sometimes), and definitely hearing on the iPhone where hearing can approach normal hearing. It’s probably the best the industry has to offer. Their service is excellent through Costco and special help center for the electronic applications.
App connects intermittently, but.

After the last iPhone 10 upgrade ReSoundSmart3D no longer works. It finds the hearing aids then sends you to settings paired ok then can’t get out of ReSoundSmart3D . Dump ReSoundSmart3D and starts all over again. I had already performed all the steps suggested by the developers and that did fix the problem, however ReSoundSmart3D lost contact with my hearing aids the next day and I had to go through all the steps again. Will wait and see. Having I said that I have been using 3 or 4 generations of resound hearing aids and the various apps. My hearing loss is severe and I couldn’t get along without them. I am very great full for the advancements in hearing aid technology.
The latest Apple update seems to have fixed the connection problems.

These are my second set of Resound hearing aids. I rebuilt the first pair to keep as a spare. ReSoundSmart3D makes all the difference. I use it to stream phone calls directly to the Resound, stream podcasts, and adjust the profile for restaurants, all around, and music customized with a saved setting for my audio system. It just works. I could not be happier and I recommend Resound to everybody. My wife is happier, too. Don’t wait. Get the hearing aids while you are still young enough to enjoy them. You won’t be sorry.
Great hearing aids

I love my Smart 3D hearing aids. The different settings are wonderful. I’m a musician and the music setting makes the music sound so much better to me! I like the background noise canceling option when there’s a lot of background noise. The outdoor setting allows me to hear the birds singing! I love the Bluetooth particularly for phone calls. Hearing the phone conversation directly in my ears when using my iPhone makes it so much easier to understand the conversation. It’s also wonderful to be able to recharge them overnight and not to replace batteries. I highly recommend Resound Smart 3D hearing aids.
I complained about ReSoundSmart3D not connecting with my hearing aids and I was totally blown away with the amazingly fast response offering help. The aids are working very well at this point. I wish all the apps gave you this response time when you are having problems.
I love these hearing aids! I’ve had a number of different brands and styles, but these are by far the best I’ve had. They are largely problem free. Even when the aids weren’t connecting to ReSoundSmart3D they were still connecting to my phone and I still had most of the functionality. It was just less convenient. I’m totally impressed!
Annoying Updated version!!!

by Jimsanta
Update on what I posted last week. Once again, after several problem-free days, my iPhone found and connected to my hearing aids, but my Smart3D app simply wasn’t up to the challenge! So I can use the phone to select either All Around or Restaurant, but I have no way to choose the Speech Clarity profile contained within either of those two, and it is the Speech Clarity profile that makes it worth HAVING these hearing aids! So, another half hour wasted, disconnecting and reconnecting the hearing aids, shutting and restarting my phone, deleting and reinstalling the 3D app, and repeating those things just in a different sequence. I guess I’ll just have to wait until tomorrow and HOPE that things will be different!!!
Ever since I downloaded the latest update maybe 2 weeks ago, after having extremely few problems for the past full year, my experience with app has been all downhill. I’ve had to “accept” the terms of the consent agreement almost every day, and on half those days I got the message “Ooops, something went wrong. Contact your provider”. In addition, although my iPhone instantly “finds” my hearing aids every morning, ReSoundSmart3D doesn’t connect with them very often, leaving me to depend on the more limited controls of the iPhone. I repeat, these are all NEW daily problems. Ever since I got my hearing aids and began using ReSoundSmart3D , I had been showing off its ease of use and capabilities to all my friends. But alas, not any more!!!
App’s not ready for prime time

Every time I open ReSoundSmart3D , it has to reconnect to the hearing aids. Often times, that doesn’t work, and I need to restart ReSoundSmart3D . The connection to the Apple Watch is useless. Even when I launch ReSoundSmart3D first on my phone and have my phone right next to the watch, I rarely can connect. Defeats the purpose of the desire to discretely adjust settings when in public. The hearing aids hijack my hands-free system in my car, too. ReSound’s customer service is sorely lacking. My audiologist told me to call ReSound with my questions; the person who handled my call told me to talk to my audiologist or the Apple store (talk about a runaround). I then tried to reach ReSound through their Facebook page, and they didn’t even respond. The Apple store tried to help, but were not able to improve on any of the challenges I experience with ReSoundSmart3D. My audiologist bragged how ReSound hired Genius Bar employees to make ReSoundSmart3D; well, I think they picked up some “geniuses” at some “bar” who had had a few too many. Seriously, not everyone who wears hearing aids is a 85 year old with few technological expectations. If you’re going to promote a hearing app that’s specifically designed for an iPhone, make sure it’s going to perform as promised.
Frustrating!

by Macknmav
I bought these particular hearing aids based on the sales pitch my audiologist gave me. I was impressed with what I was told they were capable of doing: automatically connecting to my phone giving me discreet ability to control settings, changing between iPhone and iPad without glitches, and the watch!!! Wow! The watch was the “Sign me up moment!” HOWEVER... Nothing promised was delivered! Connecting to my iPhone is hit and miss, even after purchasing a new phone. I’m constantly having to reboot while crossing my fingers the 2nd, 3rd, 4th time before finally having to sometimes just give up. Switching between iPhone and iPad is just as difficult so I don’t bother even having ReSoundSmart3D on my iPad. And the watch!!! Really!!! This was the selling point for me. Of course once I realized this was an issue on ReSounds end, my trial period was up. I was looking forward to going on runs while wearing my hearing aids, but this isn’t happening. I wish I would have read these reviews and did more research before buying these hearing aids. I do regret this very expensive out of pocket expense and recommend to everyone to do their research before making this purchase.
Many features are not accessible to VoiceOver users

I was very much looking forward to finally having control over my hearing aids without having to fumble with them while they're in my ears. Apple has created an accessible interface for the bass and treble settings, as well as individual mic settings, but ReSoundSmart3D itself does not work well for blind users. the sound enhancer, for example, does not allow the VoiceOver user to adjust the various sliders. There no confirmation as to whether filters are activated in all instances. Finally, it's not possible for a VoiceOver user to add settings to their favorites. Apple has taken a lot of time to document how applications should be developed to ensure equal access regardless of the accessibility feature in use. it's my hope that ReSound will some day take the time to review this documentation and not cut me off from some of the features I have paid for. I have contacted ReSound support, and through my audiologist, was told that I should have someone sighted make the changes for me. I'm not a child, I know how to use the technology I work with... It's just too bad ReSound does not even appear to care.
Updated ReSoundSmart3D a month ago and been frustrated ever since. Got to keep rebooting the hearing aids. Can’t adjust in iPhone mode. You have to turn off direct streaming to adjust different settings. Has a mind of its own, never know what settings will be working when you use your hearing aids. This is a travesty. Why can’t we get the old app back? Never again will I get an resound product. Come on and fix this. What a nightmare. Worse app ever hands down!!! Hey resound, fix your dam app! I think a class action lawsuit might be in order here. They know they have a big problem but won’t even acknowledge it. Shameful!!!
Update : Just saw the notice that many of the apps defects and issues have been corrected. So far it seems to be working well, time will tell. An apology from Resound for all the inconvenience and agony their customers had do go thru would have been nice. All well, hopefully all the bugs are out.
I’m done, time to switch brands. Thanks for nothing Resound.
Sound resound 3-D the best hearing aid app? What a crock.

This is such an annoying app. Ever since I got my hearing aids there's a red '!'Saying ReSoundSmart3D needs to be updated. I have deleted ReSoundSmart3D and reinstalled 2x. I have tried to update but it says it's current. I have gone through every single tip and clicked it off thinking it wants me to complete all of those. It is horrible to constantly have an app that constantly says it needs to be updated and not be able to do anything about it. I reinstalled for a third time and did everything I was asked to do and I got all excited because the red dot disappeared---- for about 30 seconds. Now it's back. Crappy programming by lazy programmers. I'm returning the hearing aids. I have resound Quattro and they just don't sound that great. Very tinny, Especially for music streaming which sounds horrible unless you crank the bass all the way and cut out all the mids and highs and then it still sounds bad, just not as horrible. I ordered the Widex.I hear they have the best sound quality of all of them.
App causes malfunction in other apps

I started using ReSoundSmart3D with an iPhone 5 & had to reset the phone about everyday. I thought the problem had to do with RAM. I bought an iPhone XR thinking this would solve the problem. Everything worked fine for 3 days then the problem started. I have 2apps (Webster Dictionary & Signing Savvy Daily Word) that when you ask it to pronounces the word. Directly into my Cochlear Implant & hearing aid. Well the these apps stopped sound into both my implant & hearing aid. I could turn off the Bluetooth & can hear the sound from the 2 apps. I repaired only my cochlear implant & have no problems with the other 2 apps. Why this is happening I don’t know but it is really frustrating. If anyone has any idea could you please tell me.
Is the iOS update not syncing with this App?

I have been on ReSoundSmart3D for over a year and have been pretty impressed/ pleased for the most part. I enjoy being able to control the functionality of my hearing aids through my phone. With that being said, there are some issues since the latest IOS update.
I have constant trouble with my hearing aids not connecting with ReSoundSmart3D . I have to reboot the apps/hearing aids multiple times daily to get them to work together. A lot of times the Bluetooth will work for calls and music/ video through only one hearing aid.
Hopefully there will be a bug fix soon for ReSoundSmart3D as it is getting quite frustrating. You pay the money for a product and when it doesn’t function properly it’s as if it was money not spent well. Granted ReSoundSmart3D is free but come on guys, shouldn’t it work right all the time?
What’s going on here??

by SmyrnaTech
I am less than 8 hours into my very first hearing aid experience and I bought into the ReSound system for its supposed integrated platform (made for iPhone). Within the first 4 hours the left hearing aid would no longer switch modes and could not be found by the phone. Had to unpair (forget this device) and re-pair through the Accessibility settings. Now I have a “1” notification on ReSoundSmart3D icon and an “!” on the My ReSound tab that won’t go away. The watch app repeatedly will not connect through the iPhone app saying “device not found”. When it does work, it seems to be ok but obviously questionable.
The devices themselves are working well- which is the main objective - hence the 3 stars. I can live with ReSoundSmart3D being flaky for the most part since I can always push the buttons on the hearing aids to change modes.
Might I make a suggestion- instead of beeps and tones, use a voice prompt instead. Beeps and tones are so 1980’s. How about “one”, “two”, “power-on”, etc. I have three modes currently programmed and I have to listen to beeps to know which mode I’m on. And if I switch modes using ReSoundSmart3D , why do I have to listen to the number of beeps to tell me the mode I’m in?? Geniuses are rarely tidy, but perhaps dig a little deeper and discover some game-changing approaches to making a serious product even more user friendly. Happy to help.
Update to previous problem .... iPhone X ios 13 and what has worked for me. Delete App, turn phone off and back on, reinstall App, turn Bluetooth off back on, open and then close aids battery ( I placed them on iPhone), and see if they connect to ReSoundSmart3D and check Settings, Accessibility, and then Hearing Devices on iPhone. Mine are now staying connected but still have the annoying ! on MyResound. Might try different selection processes but I think deleting and reinstalling App and turning iPhone off and on is the secret. Good luck!
Try turning your iPhone off and back on. Works for me. Resound is a subsidiary of GN in Denmark and obviously not concerned about updating their product, unlike Apple. My hearing aids initially worked pretty good but now are starting to have connection problems also. If it continues I’ll take them back to Costco and let them deal with Resound.
iOS 13

by Mimbilly
Since updating to iOS 13 I have been plagued by several audio routing issues I can’t seem to correct. No matter what setting I use everything is being routed to the hearing aids. Even as I type this review the keyboard clicks are in the hearing aids, this never happened before. If I make an adjustment in ReSoundSmart3D then put the phone into sleep mode the audio feed disconnects and sometimes the settings are not saved. Also, if I open any app, text, email, etc, any and all audio response is routed to the hearing aids and it is getting very annoying. When I turn the routing settings to never then this corrects the problem but I do not get the calls or music played in the hearing aids. I realize that iOS 13 is new and may need some bugs worked out with ReSoundSmart3D so please look into this so my hearing aids work properly as they did before.
Recent iOS update seems to have messed things up
2024-12-16
by CampeonJPM
I've had my resound aids for 18 months. I have used ReSoundSmart3D successfully until the most recent iOS update in October 2019. Now the programming of ReSoundSmart3D seems to change everyday. Some days I can't hear any of my streaming options. Other days the programming shows that streaming is set for the left side only while the right side receives the ambient noise. Often I must turn the demo on and off for ReSoundSmart3D to recognize the aids and power up the battery icon. I have deleted and reinstalled the resound app pass several times. If I'm lucky I hit the right combination of tricks and streaming works for a few days with additional application of tricks. Today I am back to no streaming. I hope I'm not the only one with trouble and that someone comes up with a fix quickly!
Definitely the best of the bunch

Compared to a couple other brands, ReSoundSmart3D provides the best functionality on my iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Thank you. I appreciated the demo mode before I had a trial LinX 3D pair of hearing aids, and am now using ReSoundSmart3D with my new purchased Quattro’s on all three Apple Devices.
Problems Upon occasion when I change program via my Apple Watch 4, it appears on the watch like the new program is operational (with no error message or failure indication), but the iPhone app and Quattros have not changed. This problem may happen more when the iPhone has lost or poor Bluetooth connection to the Quattros, e.g. when the iPhone is in an adjacent room but Watch remains on my wrist.
Suggestions Create complications for new Apple Watch 4 Infograph and Infograph Modular faces (present complication won’t work on these). Make Apple Watch force touch on the running program be a single press to toggle mute on or off, vs now needing a force touch then light touch to accomplish the same. Similarly, add force touch to the running program on the iPhone app to toggle mute/unmute. This would be even easier than touching the small mute icon, and be consistent with the Apple Watch UI. Allow sound enhancer settings for phone call and streaming to be retained and managed independently of the program in use, or describe the present design choice better in your documentation so these capabilities can be better understood and utilized.
A possible solution to the red exclamation mark!
2024-12-16
by Luv FPGAs
For those that recently updated the Resound Smart 3D app and has been plagued with the persistent red exclamation mark, I got it to go away on my iPhone 6S by tapping on the lower right ‘More’ selection and then turn on ‘Demo mode’. Now select the ‘My Resound’ and you will see what the exclamation marks are trying to tell you. I suspect everyone is going to have slightly different reasons, just tap on each one to open a dialogue screen with a brief description and decide for yourself if you want it to perform the action. After you are done browsing the reasons to make the red exclamations disappear, go back to ‘More’ and turn off ‘Demo mode’ to re-enable controlling your hearing aids. Note, one of the items might be to update your hearing aids themselves, do this at your own risk! Don’t blame me if things don’t work like they use to, or differently, or what ever. I’m just the messenger!
My app works great unless I don’t let the phone have enough time to pair to the hearing aids. If I pair the hearing aids to my phone too quickly, then the pairing isn’t strong enough for the phone to stream reliably or connect/work correctly with ReSoundSmart3D. I looked in the User Guide to my hearing aids though and when I followed the instruction for pairing (two minute pair) to the phone, I never have problems. It turns out that the pairing isn’t complete when I just see the hearing aids start to show up on the screen, that’s just the start of the pairing process, so Mfi/hearing aid pairing is not like regular Bluetooth connections on my phone. ReSoundSmart3D is so fantastic because it allows me to control my hearing aids more discretely than touching the hearing aids themselves. I love the ability to create “favorite” programs on my own, and have them geotagged so my hearing aids automatically switch to my favorite program. Thanks to ReSoundSmart3D, I also found my hearing aids once when I thought I completely lost them. My audiologist can even adjust hearing aids remotely when I can’t get in to see him! Overall ReSoundSmart3D has been such a great tool for me when I do the hearing aid pairing correctly to the the phone, otherwise I can have weird issues and connection problems with it.

I wear Resound Smart rechargeable HAs from early in the morning until bedtime. I would rate them no higher than one out five; they are a big disappointment. They lose connection with iPhone constantly. They forget settings frequently. Their ability to amplify spoken words is awful, and frustrating to my family. Forget about trying to get help from Resound corporate office; they are stone heads.

10+year resound user. 5 yr app user. App was and still is a problem with connecting and staying connected. I know all the hoops to go through when disconnect etc. I am about to buy new HA. Testing
Oticon and Resound. Oticon app far superior at staying connected in my testing. I like resound but hate the
constant connectivity issues on
your app. I bought apple phone and
watch to connect with your app. I hate the connectivity issues with the app,Drops often. Response from your customer service “it’s an apple’s issue.
I am inclined to buy resound but
lack of app connectivity and
response from customer service
tells me to buy Oticon. Do you see
improvement in your app within
next 6 months? My understanding
is you led the way with Apple blue
Tooth connectivity and others purchased your technology. It appears they have improved and you have not as well. I like resound but the poor app and the appearance of you don’t know how to fix or don’t care makes me question.

The Resound 3D app constantly disconnects from my hearing aid and I have to repair. The repairing process fails 4 out of 5 times. This is extremely frustrating. I've been ore than happy with the Resound One hearing aid but the app is buggy and needs to be fixed.

I don’t like these hearing, every 4to 6 months the sound just goes down & I can’t hear a thing. It’s like I’m not even wearing sids. I was at a wedding lady weekend & people thought I was ignoring them because I couldn’t hear them talking to me. I’ve cleaned them changed the ear guard. I have to keep taking them off & reinserting them to hear which is very annoying. I’ve had my ears cleaned by my primary doctor and that’s is not the problem. I only have hearing in one ear after having a tumor removed and I had high hopes after spending $4000 to be able to communicate with people and that has not happened. Very disappointed

Everytime I open the app I have to re - pair to my hearing aids. 9 times out of 10 it doesn't pair unless I restart the phone. When I most need the app; going to a restaurant or out in the wind, the whole process takes about 10 minutes. Not worth it!!
